Cops are on the hunt to figure out who tried to kill someone during last week's Nipsey Hussle vigil.
According to a new search warrant, obtained by TMZ, the day after Nipsey was murdered in front of The Marathon Clothing store, 2 people were shot during the evening vigil -- one person in the elbow and another in the lower back/buttocks.
The woman who was shot in the buttocks says she heard a "loud, rapid succession of gunshots from an unknown direction."
Cops believe the shooter or shooters were trying to kill someone, and they think it was all captured on the surveillance video from Marathon.
The affidavit reads in part, there is a "surveillance system [that] captured the events leading up to, and after the attempted murder of unknown Victim."
The LAPD asked a judge to order the seizure of the video equipment located inside the strip mall stores, including Marathon.
The legal docs say employees at all the businesses refused to turn over their equipment.
And there's this ... the affidavit says, "The Marathon store has been involved in numerous investigation where surveillance video has been deleted by staff/management, prior to police arrival."
The shots triggered a stampede and 19 people were injured.
An Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court yesterday sentenced a bricklayer, Idowu Ismail Gbolahan, to life imprisonment for defiling his seven-year-old niece.
Justice Abiola Soladoye convicted Gbolahan, 30, after he pleaded guilty to the charge.
Gbolahan defiled the girl when she visited her grandmother at 50, Morocco Road, Somolu, Lagos on August 11 last year.
The prosecutor, Mrs. Fehinti Ogbemudia, told the court that the defendant took the victim from her grandmother’s room where she went to drink water to his own room to defile her.
She said: “The defendant suddenly carried the victim to his room and shut the door. He removed her pants and had sex with her. The victim’s scream attracted a neighbour, Ufot Esther, who led her rescue.
“The defendant made a confessional statement and the victim was referred to the Mirabel Centre at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, for medical examination, to corroborate her evidence.
“The statement and report are attached to the proof of evidence, which is before the court. We rely on Section 213 (2) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law (ACJL) 2015.”
In his allocutus (plea for mitigation of sentence), defence cousel Mr. Kelechi Obi said Gbolahan was a first offender, with no criminal record, adding that he did not also waste the court’s time.
In her judgment, Justice Soladoye held that the defendant admitted to defiling the girl.
She said : “I have listened carefully to the allocutus of the defence counsel. I hereby hold that the offence in question is a strict liability offence. An offence against a child is a violation of her chastity and I cannot imagine the emotional and physical scars she will endure for the rest of her life.
“Idowu Ismail Gbolahan, male, is hereby sentenced to life imprisonment. This is the judgment of this honourable court’’.

A mum says she's been housebound by her giant boobs that won't stop growing. Fiona Hornby claims her life has been ruined by the sheer size of her breasts, which have swelled from an average C cup to a massive 48J since puberty.
The 25-year-old suffers crippling back pain and bleeding sores and is unable to stand for more than five minutes at a time because of weight.
The payroll clerk and mum-of-one claims she even struggles to leave the house because of the back pain.

"I once got really terrified because I was getting in the bath and I looked down and my breasts were purple.

The pain Fiona suffers from her breasts means that she can't even sleep properly.
She had always had an active lifestyle in her teens and early 20s, but now isn't able to go to the gym because of the pain she experiences from walking.
She said: "When I'm in bed it's like I'm suffocating. I can't lie on my front because they're too heavy.
Fiona recently became a mum to baby William in November 2018 and said her boobs have even caused her problems when dealing with her newborn.
Desperately seeking life-changing breast reduction surgery, Fiona claims she's unable to get the operation on the NHS meaning that she's raising £5,500 on GoFundMe.
She said: "I can't hold my baby close to me because my boobs are so big I can't even see him and he could suffocate.
"I wasn't able to breastfeed him as a baby. I was terrified I was going to suffocate him because I couldn't hold him properly because i was having to hold my boobs. I couldn't even see his face.
"If I had the operation I'd feel like a new person. I'd be starting life again, I'd be able to go shopping for blouses and clothes I've not been able to wear.
"I've considered moving to have the surgery because it seems like there's no other option.
"Having the surgery will give me the ability to live normally."
The court of Appeal has issued out last warning to The Independent National Electoral Commission and the APC that they have till 16th April to file their responses to the election petition jointly filed by the PDP and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, challenging President Buhari's victory.
Atiku and PDP had, on March 18, 2019 filed the petition before the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal, challenging the declaration of Buhari and APC as the winner of the presidential election.
According to the petitioners claim, contrary to INEC’s declaration, the PDP’s candidate was the valid winner of the 2019 presidential election. INEC, Buhari and APC are the first to the third respondents.
According to a source, Buhari, INEC and APC - none of the three had filed their responses to the petition regarding Atiku’s action as meaningless.
Paragraph 10(2) of the Electoral Act, 2010 provides for a period of not more than 21 days within which a respondent must reply to an election petition from the date of being served with it.
The non-filing of a reply within time, simply means the respondent has no defence.
A legal practitioner, Mr Tunde Falola, said, “A respondent, who does not file his reply to the petition within time has no defence to the petition and he would be deemed to have accepted those allegations contained in the petition.”
Four officers of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) have been dismissed and were arraigned before an Ikeja High Court, Lagos over accusations of corruption and abuse of office.
The dismissed SARS officers identified as
Sgt. Adeoye Adekunle, Sgt. Adeniran Adebowale, Sgt. Agbi Lucky and Sgt. Odighe Hehosa, were dismissed following a petition against them Chukwudi Godwin Odionye, referred to as ‘Bishop.’
The former police officers were docked on a 3 count charge bordering on conspiracy, corruption of public officer and abuse of office by a public officer
Bishop who wrote the petition on May 2, 2918, alleged that sometimes in June 4, 2017, he was in his house around Alagbado area of the state, when four armed men stormed his house to effect his arrest on the allegation of performing ‘fake’ miracles.
He, however, stated that after his arrest, he was taken to one hotel at Agege, where he was detained and threatened to be killed, if he fails to cooperate.
The petitioner further explained further that the following day, June 5, 2017, he was taken to the bank where he was made to transfer N7 million to the account of one of the operatives.
It could be recalled that the then Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Command, Lagos, Adamu Ibrahim, had approved the dismissal of the officers after a thorough investigation.
According to the police, the four policemen were dismissed and subsequently charged before a Magistrate court for armed robbery, kidnapping, unlawful detention, and intimidation, as well as threatening violence.
But at the State High Court, the four officers were charged for conspiracy, corruption by a public officer and abuse of office by a public officer.
The four defendants had however pleaded not guilty to the charges.
However, during yesterday’s proceedings, counsel to the former SARS officers, A.O Aguegebobo informed the court of a bail application he had filed before the court on behalf of his clients.
According to Aguegebobo, the defendants offence is a bailable offence. He also added that investigation on the matter had been concluded by the police. The defence counsel also informed the court that the defendants have been in prison custody since the 18th of July 2018.
Meanwhile, the prosecuting counsel, Adeola Odumabo however did not oppose to the bail application.
Ruling on the defendant’s bail application, the Presiding Judge, Justice Hakeem Oshodi admitted the defendants to bail in the sum N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
“The defendants are hereby admitted to bail in the sum of N500, 000 with two sureties. One of the sureties must be a blood relation while the other must be a police officer not less than an Inspector. The defendants are to be remanded in prison custody pending the perfection of their bail, ” the Judge ruled.
The matter was thereafter adjourned till October 15, 2019 for trial.
The capital of Yobe State, Damaturu, is under attack by Boko Haram insurgents, at the time of this report. Resident of Maisandari area, an outskirt of Damaturu, said the attackers came through the eastern part of the town and started shooting sporadically.
One of them, Usaini Maisandari, said they were outside his home when they saw the assailants coming into the area in hilux vans that are laden with Anti aircraft.
The eyewitness said, “We all scampered for safety. Can you hear the gunshot and explosions? I want you to pray for us please.”
According to Daily Trust, it was observed that heavy armed soldiers in four armoured carrier and many hilux vans were seen advancing toward the insurgents’ direction.
Nigeria's Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the dismissal of nine senior officers from the Force for gross misconduct.
The dismissal, which is to take place with immediate effect, was part of the outcome of its fifth Plenary Meeting that was held in Abuja on March 26 and 27.
Presiding over the meeting, Musiliu Adeola Smith, Chairman of PSC, also approved the demotion of six officers for different cases of misconduct.
A statement released by the commission read: “The Police Service Commission has approved the dismissal of nine senior Police officers for gross misconduct.
“The dismissal takes immediate effect. The Commission also approved the reduction in rank of another six officers for different cases of misconduct.”
At the meeting, the commission approved punishment for 10 officers, while CP Austin Agbonlahor was exonerated of the offence he was accused of.
“The Commission also approved the punishment of severe reprimand for five officers and reprimand for another five. One officer, CP Austin Agbonlahor, was however exonerated.
“Those dismissed were Abdul Yahaya Ahmed, a Superintendent of Police who will also be prosecuted; Adamu Damji Abare, another SP who also had his promotion from SP to CSP withdrawn before his dismissal.
“The Commission further requested the IGP to furnish it with information on the punishment awarded to other officers mentioned in the Police Investigation Reports involving SP Abare with regards to irregularities in the conduct of the 2011 recruitment exercise."
Names of other officers dismissed from the force are DSP Osondu Christian, DSP Samson Ahmidu and DSP Pius Timiala who will be prosecuted and whose promotion from DSP to SP was withdrawn.

The death toll of Nigerians killed in South Africa has continued to rise with another two being the latest victims in ongoing xenophobic attacks on foreigners in that country.
The latest victims were stabbed to death during xenophobic attacks in Johannesburg and Cape Town on April 5 and April 6, 2019, respectively.

Five more persons have been arrested by the police over the killing of a doctor at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba, last Friday.
A House Officer at LUTH, Dr. Stephen Urueye was stabbed to death a day after his convocation.
Urueye was among the students who graduated at the 50th convocation of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) last Wednesday.
Police spokesman Bala Elkana, a Deputy Superintendent (DSP), told The Nation last night that five more suspects had been arrested.
This brings to seven the suspects arrested in connection with the doctor’s death.
A teacher at a private school in Ogun State has been declared wanted for alleged sodomy on many pupils within ages nine and 11.
The teacher, Adebayo Gbadebo, was said to have fled last week after his alleged crimes at Isolog School, Agbole in Akute, were uncovered.
Although his last attempt was said to have been a fortnight ago, The Nation gathered that the suspect was declared wanted when some child advocates reported the case to the police.
Gbadebo’s alleged atrocities were exposed by a parent of one of his victims identified as Daniel, who is said to have developed a severe medical condition as a result of the anal r-pe.
It was learnt that the child’s parents knew about the incident after he allegedly sodomised another child.
When the school learnt about it, it was gathered that the head teacher, Mrs. Rachael Oduntun, allegedly fired Gbadebo without reporting the crime to the police.
The school was said to have also administered drugs on the victims without their parents knowing, just as it allegedly threatened workers and pupils not to discuss it with anyone or risk sack.
“These pupils have been taken to hospital for medical examination. One of the victims, aged nine, has been diagnosed with a severe condition. Her anal nerves have been damaged, which causes her to pass urine and faeces uncontrollably.
“It was discovered that Gbadebo started abusing her sexually when she was six-years-old, while he molested other victims from Basic Five.
“His wife has reported him for sexually abusing a kid in their neighbourhood. The man is a serial rapist and needs to be imprisoned before he goes about hurting other children,” said a source who pleaded anonymity.
Confirming the manhunt for the suspect, command spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi, a Deputy Superintendent (DSP), said it was unfortunate the school fired him without reporting the crime.
He said the school proprietor and headteacher had been ordered to produce the suspect.

The high-powered committee set up by the authorities of the Nigerian Army to investigate allegations of misconduct by soldiers during the March 9 governorship and House of Assembly elections in Rivers State is set to submits its report having concluded work.
Findings of the investigating committee, heads may roll in the army.
The committee is said to have indicted some personnel, after reviewing the video clips on activities of soldiers during the elections.
Top military sources told Daily Sun that the committee, headed by Major General Tari-Timiye Gagariga, would submit its report after the rescheduled elections in Rivers State by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In investigating the case, the committee, which was set up following outrage from the public over the conduct of soldiers during the governorship elections in Rivers State, visited the state where it met with Governor Nyesom Wike and other stakeholders.
The committee also visited other states, where allegations of misconduct by soldiers were reported and took time to review all the video clips on the alleged misconduct of army personnel during the elections and also interviewed eyewitnesses and stakeholders.
A military officer, who pleaded anonymity, told Daily Sun that some indicted army personnel may face General Court Martial (GCM) in the coming days if the recommendation of the committee is implemented.
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, had summoned some commanders of units and formations of the Nigerian Army across the nation, especially states where misconduct of army personnel was recorded to Abuja for interview.
Following this, the army chief raised the committee to probe into the allegations. The committee was to investigate the base, having in mind the code of transparency and accountability by army personnel deployed for election security duties.
The nine-member committee has its terms of reference to include thorough investigation of the reported activities, actions and inactions of personnel of the Nigerian Army in all the states where extant Rules of Engagement and Code of Conduct in internal security operations duties during election were violated.
It is also charged with the responsibility to investigate all reported infractions or violations against security agencies, particularly the army.
The army chief has assured Nigerians that appropriate punitive measures would be applied to those found culpable, in accordance with the military justice system.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Army has concluded plans to submit what it calls an “After Action Review” to the Federal Government.
The After Action Review document, Daily Sun gathered, is a complete report of the Nigerian Army’s operations, findings, observations and recommendations during the 2019 elections.
Sources told Daily Sun that the document, which is the first to be initiated by the army, would go a long way in helping government prepare for future elections, in terms of security.
