Oh Dear! Pregnant Woman Goes Into Coma After Seeing Her Husband's Father Get Murdered

The touching story has been told of how a retired Nigerian police officer was recently killed. The man's murder was told by his son who was identified as Comr. Chukwu Ogbu. 

According to him, his father was attacked by unknown gunmen and murdered in their home. Chukwu who shared a photo from the scene of the murder, revealed that his wife who witnessed the killing has gone into coma out of shock. The heartbroken man wrote;

"My dad has being assassinated by unknown Assailants. He was shot and left in the pool of his own blood...an innocent man who served 35yrs in the Nigeria Police & retired, they murdered him in cold blood.....

"My pregnant wife traumatized and unconscious after witnessing it... This is too much for a man to bear in a single night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Lagos Fire Service Staff Celebrating Release Of Their Boss From Kidnappers (Photos)

Staff of Lagos State Fire Service were pictured celebrating the release of the Director, Rasaki Musibau and six others on Wednesday. The victims were kidnapped on April 6 along the Ikorodu-Epe Expressway while on their way to Lagos.

Anambra Outlaws Expensive Funerals, Makes One Day Burial Ceremony Compulsory

The Anambra State House of Assembly on Wednesday outlawed expensive funerals in the state.

Passing the bill entitled a Law To Control Burial/Funeral Ceremonial Activities in the State, the House said it had become an offence to hold a funeral for more than a day in the state.

Before this development, communities had held funerals on an average of three days.

But the bill sponsored by the member representing Anaocha II constituency, Charles Ezeani stated that “Burial/funeral control bill is aimed at cutting down the cost of burial activities in the state”.

The bill provided that in the event of death, “No person shall deposit any corpse in the mortuary or any place beyond two months from the date of the death, while burial ceremonies in the state shall be for one day.”

A 50-year -old man, Malam Sani Yusuf, has been arrested by operatives of Niger State Police Command for allegedly stabbing his neighbour, Asabe Zagi, 60 years, several times for allegedly making love advances at his granddaughter.

Speaking with Vanguard at the police command, Yusuf said: “My neighbour, Zagi, who is a staff of Bosso Council has been running after my grand daughter and luring her with SIM cards and other things in order to have carnal knowledge of  her.

“He denied it when I confronted him, but as far as I know, I am sure that my allegations are correct and I stabbed him severally to teach him a lesson. I didn’t have the intention of killing him, hence the stabbing but I regret what I have done and  I plead for forgiveness.”

Police have said the suspect would soon be arraigned in court.

Cousin Stole My Wife, Man Cries Out

A South African man, Godfrey Kubeka has been left heartbroken by his wife. The 45-year-old from Soshanguve in Tshwane, South Africa claimed his wife left him for her cousin last week.

Godfrey claimed he was horrified when he entered his house last week and saw his wife and the cousin come out of the bedroom, half-n*ked.

He claimed his wife said she was helping her cousin bath.

“The man just left and my wife threatened to leave if I asked more questions. I continued asking her what was going on and she just left.”


He claimed he later found out his wife and the cousin were living together in Ga-Rankuwa.

Godfrey claimed after his wife left, he found she had previously been engaged to a man who had died and apparently left her a house in Ga-Rankuwa.

“I went there last week and found her and her cousin relaxing under a tree.”
Godfrey claimed when he phoned his mother-in-law, he was shocked by what she said.

“She said the man who owned the house had paid lobola for my wife but he and his mum had mistreated her. She said the man was related to a chief and if I went around asking questions, my wife would be fined or banished from the village.”

When the wife was contacted by a local media outlet, she said: Godfrey was spreading lies about her as she had left him. When asked why she had left Godfrey, she said she was tired of their fights.

“I could not take it anymore. I was tired of his jealousy.

“He knew I was a widow. I’m a God-fearing woman. How could I sleep with my cousin?” , she said.

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Speaks On Killing Of Official By His Colleague

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) says it has commenced an investigation into the alleged killing of one of its operatives by his colleague at the Free Trade Zone, Epe Expressway, in Lagos.

A statement by its spokesman, Mr Emmanuel Okeh, on Tuesday in Lagos said that the officer involved had been stripped of his arms and is currently in detention.

According to him, the ugly incident occurred as a result of an accidental discharge by a personnel of the corps, which led to some casualties involving another personnel of the Corps.


He said that Mamman Wuyah and Oshemi Innocent, were both shot, adding that Innocent died and Wuyah sustained an injury and is currently in the hospital.

The Commandant-General (C-G) of the corps, Mr Abdullahi Mohammadu, expressed regrets over the ugly incident that occurred at one of the beats, where personnel of the corps were deployed to protect the nation’s infrastructure.

“I received the information with a heavy heart, and in view of that, I commiserate with the family of the deceased and the injured.

“It is unfortunate in spite several warnings by the corps against such acts of negligence and carelessness,’’ he said.

Muhammadu, however, assured the public that adequate punitive action would be taken against the officer involved to avert a future reoccurrence and to serve as a deterrent to other personnel.

“Investigation into the remote causes of the incident is ongoing as a committee has been set up to critically look into the matter as the officer involved had already been stripped of his arms and is currently in detention.’’

Mohammadu said the officer would continue to be in detention pending the outcome of the report of the committee and justice is accordingly ensured.

SCARY! Lagos Cultists Kill Rivals, Cut Off Their Hands

A cult war in Ikorodu area of Lagos has claimed at least three lives in two days. According to reports, the clash started following the brutal killings of Gbendu, a suspected Eiye member, at Sago and a Vulcanizer, a suspected member of Black Axxe cult group (Aiye) at Ota–Ona last week.

The two groups reportedly launched deadly reprisal attacks on each other at the weekend and early morning on Monday, April 8.

It was gathered that two more members of the Black Axxe Confraternity were brutally killed last Saturday at Lucky Fibre area with their hands cut off and taken away by their assailants.

The two men were killed at a bar. It was also gathered that the two corpses were taken away by the police who arrived at the scene after the killings which left the residents of the area in shock and fear.

Also, a suspected member of the Eiye Confraternity was allegedly killed in the early hours of Monday morning in what was described as a reprisal attack by the Black Axxe confraternity hit squad.

Snow White, Sleeping Beauty & Lion King Are Movies Filled With Racism, Experts Claims

Whether it's the old classics or the newest blockbuster, Disney films have been a huge part of children's lives for generations.

But according to experts some of the older movies many of us grew up with could actually be extremely harmful to our little ones.

Many believe films such as Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Lion King could promote unhealthy body image, gold diggers and even racism and domestic abuse.

According to Dr Victoria Cann, a Humanities lecturer at the University of East Anglia, Beauty and the Beast is by far the "most dangerous" Disney film.


She claims it's a case of Stockholm Syndrome, telling the Sun : "This is the most dangerous because the Beast always feels on the verge of violence.

"It also gives the unnerving idea that if a woman perseveres long enough, she can change an angry partner.

"At the end, the beast then turns into this blonde-haired white man for another happy ever after, giving the idea that now he's good looking, he can’t possibly be angry or threatening."

Dr Cann also raises issues with Aladdin, claiming the 1992 movie is "racist".

She points out that all the "good" characters, including Aladdin, have pale skin, while the baddies have darker skin.

She says this same approach is used in the Lion King, with evil Scar much darker than the rest of the characters.

Another expert, Dr Laura Coffey-Glover from  Nottingham Trent University, believes Snow White creates unrealistic expectations for young girls.

She says the film portrays women as helpless characters who just have to wait around for a man to come and sweep them off their feet.

They also believe Sleeping Beauty promotes anorexia as her character has an impossibly thin waist.

As with Snow White, they also talk about the issue of consent as both films show the woman being kissed with a man while she is asleep.

Dr Cann says they "normalise men's sense of entitlement over women's bodies".

However the experts praise the more recent films, such as Frozen, which feature much more modern themes including friendship, family loyalty and feminism.

Court Still Unclear Why Man Killed His Family After Starting A Relationshup With A 17-Year Old

A father suspected of gassing his family to death was allegedly having an affair with a 17-year-old girl he met in the Philippines.

Fernando Manrique, 44, is accused of turning his house in a 'gas chamber' by wiring a device from the garden shed into the roof of the family home.

It is claimed Manrique channelled a deadly gas into their Sydney home, killing himself, his wife Maria Lutz and their two young autistic children, Elisa and Martin.

The family were found dead in October 2016, after friends of Maria became worried when she didn't reply to their messages or take the children to school on Monday morning.


Police found Maria dead in bed, alongside her 12-year-old daughter Elisa.
Manrique was found slumped in the hallway while Martin, 11, was found in another bedroom.

The family dog, named Tequila, was also found dead next to Martin.

Judge Truscott said there was no indication Maria was involved in her children’s deaths, saying: "The impression the friends of Maria have given the court is to make it very clear Maria loved her life and had every intention of continuing a loving and productive life with her children.

“There’s no suggestion in any of the evidence the deaths were merciful at all. She didn’t require mercy, she provided her two children with the utmost."

Manrique and Maria were childhood sweethearts who emigrated from Colombia to Australia.

The inquest heard the couple were in financial trouble, with Manrique being made redundant from his job and building up credit card debts of $28,000 (£15,000).

Manrique had set up a new business after losing his job and work often took him to the Phillipines.

He told friends he was struggling in his relationship with his wife and had started "hooking up" with other women during his business trips abroad.

It was also heard how Manrique had been wiring thousands of dollars to a 17-year-old girl called Jamielyn in the Phillipines.

He is said to have met the teenager in a bar in 2016 before going to to start a long-distance relationship with her.

Maria is said to have found out about the relationship, leading to further breakdown in their marriage.

Manrique had moved out of the family home before returning temporarily while he looked for somewhere to live.

However, Detective Sergeant Pooley said Manrique had already formulated a plan to gas the family after opening an account with BOC - a company supling carbon monoxide.

He had also visited DIY store Bunnings to buy, what investigators believe, was equipment to gas the family, such as gas cylinders.

The inquest continues.


Grandmother who gave birth to OWN grandchild because her daughter has no womb says she's prepared to do it Again

A grandmother who gave birth to her own grandchild – because her daughter was born without a womb has said that she would do it again.

Emma Miles, 55, from Wales, appeared on Monday's This Morning with daughter Tracey Smith, 31, and the baby that she gave birth to - Evie Siân Emma Smith on January 16th this year.

Daughter Tracey feared she would never have a child of her own after being diagnosed with Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser Syndrome (MRKH).

But her mother stepped in, and despite being 53 at the time of the pregnancy, she agreed to be a surrogate for her daughter and gave birth to a healthy girl - Evie via C-section - who weighed 7lbs 7oz.

On the show host Ruth Langsford asked Emma: ‘Question is - would you do it again?’ Emma replied instantly with: ‘Yes, I would.'

Twitter fans of This Morning loved their story, with many saying how sweet it was of her mother.

Talking on the show this morning Emma, the grandmother, said about Evie: 'I don’t see myself as her mother, I see her as my granddaughter.'

Tracey also revealed at 16 that she couldn’t have children:  'I had to see a lot of doctors and after a laparoscopy they told me I'd been born without a womb.'

Her now husband Adam and her started to look into surrogacy a few years ago: 'I thought it was never going to happen and my husband suggested looking into surrogacy, but it costs thousands.

'When we had a consultation, they suggested using a family member – so I asked mum,' Tracy admitted.

'You'd anything for your child,' Tracey's Mum Emma said.

 Because Tracey's ovaries still worked normally, she used IVF with her husband, Adam, 40, to create an embryo which was then implanted into her mother. And as they say, the rest is history.

Magic Johnson Quits As Laker's President

Magic Johnson quit as Los Angeles Lakers’ president of basketball operations last night, citing his desire to return to the simpler life he enjoyed as a wealthy businessman and beloved former player before taking charge of this tempestuous franchise just over two years ago.

Johnson didn’t tell owner Jeanie Buss or general manager Rob Pelinka about his shocking decision before he announced it in front of reporters about 90 minutes before the final game of the Lakers’ sixth consecutive losing season.

“I want to go back to having fun,” Johnson said before fighting off tears. “I want to go back to being who I was before taking on this job. We’re halfway there with LeBron coming (last summer). I think this summer, with that other star coming in, whoever is going to bring him in, I think this team is really going to be in position to contend for a championship with the growth of the young players.”


″(On Wednesday) I would have to affect somebody’s livelihood and their life,” Johnson said. “And I thought about it and I said, ‘That’s not fun for me. That’s not who I am.’ And then I don’t want to put her in the middle of us, even though she said, ‘Hey, you can do what you want to do.’ I know she has great love for him and great love for me.”

Johnson and Buss had a three-hour meeting Monday about the direction of the 16-time NBA champion Lakers, who haven’t made the postseason since 2013. Magic claimed he didn’t finalize his decision until Tuesday morning.
