Cronin said he understands that people will find it difficult to grasp his reasoning for the girl's pregnancy.

Having your birthday in January or February isn't necessarily the ideal time as the weather tends to be a bit cold and miserable.
But according to one study, people with the star sign Aquarius are most likely to become rich and famous.
The Journal of Social Sciences found that a large proportion of Hollywood stars were born between January 20 and February 18.
Researchers randomly selected from people of different walks of life, including politicians, scientists, authors, sports icons, singers, actors, and celebrities from history and from the current time.
Starting with a sample size of 100 and increasing to 200 and then 300, researchers found Aquarius to be the zodiac when most of the celebrities are born.
The study concludes: "The highest number of celebrities is born in the zodiac sign Aquarius."
Typical traits of an Aquarius include being energetic, imaginative and independent according to horoscope.com, so it makes sense some might go on to high-flying creative careers - if you're someone who believes in astrology that is.
Famous celebrities with that star sign include Jennifer Aniston, Oprah Winfrey and Cristiano Ronaldo.
This isn't the only study that indicates that January and February babies often end up in highly-desirable careers.
Other studies have suggested that people born in winter months are more likely to perform better in tests at school.
Meanwhile researchers within the UK Office of National Statistics analysed 19 different professions from a census to find out how career and birth months correlate.
They determined that people born in January most often went on to be doctors which is pretty amazing, although becoming a debt collector was also an increased likelihoood.
The same ONS study found that people born in February were more likely than any other month to be artists.
Babies born in January were also found to be more likely to grow up to be CEOs.
A study of S&P 500 companies from 1992 to 2009, found that 10 percent of CEOs were born in January, ranking them among the top five CEO-producing months.
It's worth noting that although these studies show a correlation between birth month and future career, it doesn't mean people born at other times of year aren't set for a fabulous future.
An Abuja High Court sitting in Maitama on Thursday ordered the police to show cause over it’s continued detention of Senator Dino Melaye who has been in police custody since January 4th.
Justice Yusuf Halilu gave the order after Melaye’s counsel, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN) informed the court that his client has been in police custody since Jan. 4 against what the law stipulated.
“We are talking about the liberty of a citizen not because he is a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, but a citizen, this is contrary to sections 35 and 36 of the Constitution of Nigeria. “If you keep a man for 13 days you have already presumed him guilty, ” he submitted.
Simon Lough, the respondent counsel, told the court that he only got the motion on notice on January 16, and needed five days according to law to reply. He added that he was and not aware of the order to show cause.
He said though Melaye was in the police custody, he as the counsel does not have the power to effect his investigation which was ongoing, preparatory to charging him to court. Lough therefore prayed the court for an adjournment to enable him file and serve his reply before January 18. The judge explained that the police was put on notice to come and show cause why the detained senator should not be granted bail.
“The court was approached by the police for his custody and the court granted it, and now the court ordered that the police should come and explain why he would not be released. I granted an order on January 14, that the police should come and show cause,’’ the judge said.
He, however, adjourned the hearing till January 18, to enable the respondent file his reply on the applicant. Both parties agreed to the application for adjournment prayed by the respondent. The judge further ordered the respondent to serve the applicant all the processes today.
The Court of Appeal sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has struck out an appeal by the All Progressives Congress, APC, challenging the ruling of the Justice Chiwendu Nworgu of the Rivers State High Court, which annulled its wards, local governments and state congresses.
The Court of Appeal had on December 12, 2018, struck out the same appeal for being filed out of time. However, the party on January 15, re-approached Court of Appeal challenging its earlier ruling, stressing that the lower court does not have the jurisdiction to hear the matter on the first instance.
But, the visiting Appeal Court panel constituted to handle the matter, struck it out, stressing that it was a pre-election matter.
Delivering the judgment on behalf of the panel, about 7p.m., yesterday, Justice C.N. Uwa noted that the matter which the lower court handled was a pre-election and ought to have been appealed and disposed off within 60 days after the judgment of the lower court.
Justice Uwa held “This is a pre-election matter. It had earlier been held by this same court in an appeal of the substantive matter. This court cannot seat on the same matter.
“The appeal is fundamentally defective. The court cannot go into the matter, as doing so will amount to an effort in futility.
“It is unnecessary to continue on an appeal no matter the merit, which this court has held as status bound. It would be an effort in futility to continue. This appeal is hereby struck out.”
A Consultant Pathologist, Dr. Olumuyiwa Pelemo, yesterday, gave graphic details of the decomposing corpse of the late daughter of the former deputy governor of Ondo State, Khadijat Oluboyo, who was killed by her boyfriend.
Recall that the deceased was allegedly killed for ritual by her boyfriend, Saidu-Shakiru Adeyemi, who dug a grave, buried her and slept on it for days before he was arrested.
Testifying at the resumption of the murder case before an Akure High Court, Dr. Olumuyiwa Pelemo, said the hairs on her head and pubic region were shaved, while her two upper front teeth were broken off.
The Police prosecution, led by Helen Falowo, had invited the medical expert to give evidence in the murder case, Vanguard reports.
Dr. Pelemo said the corpse, which was exhumed and presented for autopsy on July 9, 2018 was already at the early stage of decomposition.
According to him, it was observed “that there was an abnormal shaving of the hair on the deceased’s head and the pubic region while her two upper front teeth had been broken off, leaving only some fragments left.
He added that there were fractures on the bones of her neck, shoulder along with her second to the sixth ribs on both sides, a dislocation of her hip joints with another fracture on the upper part of her thigh.
Pelemo said that “the injuries could not have been self inflicted but given by another party, and inflicted with a significant pressure especially the upper thigh region which had a lot of muscles.
The medical practitioner said that “there were lacerations on her chest which damaged two major vessels known as the phemora artery and vein that circulate blood in the body.
“The combined effects of the injuries led to Khadijat’s death.”
The autopsy report was admitted after due process as an exhibit before the court.
The brother of the defendant also testified that the family got wind of the development when his brother confessed to him that the missing girl was actually dead and buried in his room.
He confessed that the defendant begged him to get a sack in which they could dispose the corpse, but decided to report to their father who in turn ordered him to report to the Police.
The testimony of the father of the defendant, Seidu Siyanbola corroborated that of his son. Seidu pointed out that he knew the deceased as his son’s girlfriend, adding that they had been courting for three years.
He added that his son confessed to him that some men had killed her and buried her inside his room and threatened to deal with his family if he reported the incident to the Police.
The father said that was the reason his son gave him for hiding the truth, while the deceased’s family members were looking for her.
He admitted that the defendant did not betray any emotion during the period that the deceased body was decomposing in his room.
Meanwhile, the prosecution has closed its case, while the defence was expected to open its case on January 21.
Nothing in this world is certain except death, taxes and that your personal information will leak online.
Today's devastating news is that a staggering 773 million records have been published containing email address and passwords - and you could well be affected.
This leak isn't from one particular company like Talk Talk or Yahoo though, it is a package of previously leaked information constructed to help nefarious hackers break into accounts.
It's called "Collection 1" and the details have been posted by Troy Hunt, security expert and the brains behind the website "HaveIBeenPwned".
Hunt gets access to these leaks through contacts and collects details.
He doesn't share them, so his site doesn't make the problem worse, but he does allow you to check your email address to see where it may have leaked thanks to hacks and general corporate carelessness.
For security reasons It won't directly tell you if your passwords have been exposed, but if your email address is in the database you need to assume it has been.
Many passwords that appear in leaks are "hashed". Hashing is a way of hiding the password in a way that means you can log into a website, but anyone accessing your details won't be able to see what it is.
Sometimes password hashes are so weak they can be broken and this is down to poor security design.
So what should you do if you discover your details have been compromised?
The first step is to change passwords for sites that matter.
You should already be using a strong and unique password for your online banking and email addresses. If you're not, rethink that and get changing.
The best protection from username/password hacks is to enable two-factor authentication. Most email companies support this, as do Twitter , Facebook and Instagram .
Using two-factor protects your account because you have to use an additional piece of security that hackers have no way of accessing.
Someone has spotted the face of Princess Charlotte in Meghan Markle’s knee. The Duchess of Sussex visited Mayhew animal welfare charity yesterday – where she has just become patron – to meet staff and pets.
Her form-fitting £25 H&M dress grabbed the headlines for showing off Meghan’s blossoming bump but now it has been speculated that the Duchess of Sussex was making the ‘ultimate tribute’ to Charlotte as the dress was cut just above the knee.
According to The Sun, Meghan’s knee bore an ‘uncanny resemblance’ to her niece, three. Alice Dear said she had ‘no words’ while Ed Tyler commented that the news was ‘huge if true’.
Cady drell tweeted: [I’m] gonna send this to my boss as proof that we’ve reached the internet event horizon and we should get the rest of the day off.’ Meghan seemed to have a great time visiting the animals and staff at Mayhew and even managed to laugh off being affectionately called a ‘fat lady’ by a pensioner from a nearby care home.
The former Suits actress, who is six month’s pregnant, giggled when Peggy made the comment and replied: ‘I’ll take that.’ Peggy and her friends receive petting dog visits organised by Mayhew, who brought in a number of four-legged friends for Meghan to meet. When she held Maggie, a one-year-old Jack Russell who had gone up for ‘adoption’ on the charity’s website, she said: ‘We can’t get another dog before the baby, our hands are full.’
She is one of the world's most iconic supermodels. So Naomi Campbell was naturally a welcome FROW guest at the Louis Vuitton Fall Winter, Men's Paris Fashion Week show on Thursday, where she led the stars catching a glimpse of Virgil Abloh's second collection, which was debuted at the French capital's Jardin des Tuileries which was turned into New York's Rivington and Ludlow.
The 48-year-old fashion icon looked sensational for her outing, however she was barely-recognisable due to her new bouncy hairdo as she shed her trademark tumbling tresses in favour of a short bouncy crop.
Naomi's new look will no doubt be a shock to fans as she was sporting an entirely different look just hours before when she headed to the Christian Dior store on Wednesday evening.
Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham has slammed a persistent instagram beggar with the name Sanmight92 on IG.
