New IGP Adamu Disbands FSARS, Takes More Actions

Mohammed Adamu, the acting inspector general of police, has ordered the immediate disbandment of the federal special anti-robbery squad (FSARS).

Speaking at his inaugural conference in Abuja on Monday, Adamu also directed that all quasi-investigation and operations outfits including the special investigation panel (SIP) and special tactical squad (STS) should also be disbanded.

“The proposed re-organisation will produce a new

Special Anti-Robbery Unit which will be professional enough to protect the citizens in their line of duty, but uniquely potent enough to respond to any major weapon-related organised crimes in the swiftest and most ethical manner,” he said.

“While this initiative is being perfected, the operations of SARS which is currently centralised at the Force Headquarters is hereby decentralised: consequently, with immediate effect, the Commissioner of Police in each of the 36 Police Commands and the FCT is to assume full command and control authority on all SARS in their commands, while the FHQ Unit is, henceforth, subsumed under the command of the DIG FCIID.

“The impact of this is that the DIG FCIID and Command CPS shall from this date, not only assume administrative and operational control of SARS in their respective Commands, they shall also be directly held liable for any professional misconducts resulting from the operations of the Units in their Commands.

“Similarly, all quasi-investigation and operations outfits including the Special Investigation Panel (SIP) and Special Tactical Squad (STS) or any other such Teams under whatever name are hereby disbanded.”

Adamu also said a special election investigation team (SEIT) has been set up to carry out detailed investigations of all arrested electoral offenders across the country.

Court Stops Buhari, AGF From Removing CJN Onnoghen

Nigeria's President, Muhammadu Buhari and the AGF, Abubakar Malami have been ordered by a court not to go ahead with the removal of Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen.

Justice Inyang Ekwo granted an order of interim injunction restraining President Buhari and the AGF from removing Onnoghen from office pending the hearing and determination of the suit filed by Action Peoples Party (APP).

According to Channels Television, the Justice made the ruling at a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Monday, January 21.

The court adjourned the hearing of the motion on notice to the 29th of January with an order to parties to maintain the status quo ante.

Ex-Super Eagles Defender, Brothers Jailed For Fraud

Former Super Eagles defender, Efe Sodje, alongside his brothers Stephen and Bright, were given prison sentences for fraud last year, it can now be reported.

According to Sky Sports, the three brothers were found to have syphoned more than £60,000 (over N28m) given to the Sodje Sports Foundation, a National Crime Agency (NCA) investigation found.

They were jailed in September 2018. Efe Sodje, who was part of Nigeria’s squad to the Korea/Japan 2002 World Cup, bagged 18 months sentence; Bright Sodje 21 months, and Stephen Sodje for 30 months – at the Central Criminal Court in relation to the fraud.

A judge at the same court on Monday lifted reporting restrictions preventing publication of the result of that trial, following the completion of a number of linked legal proceedings.

R Kelly's former wife has told of the 'verbal, physical and emotional' abuse she claims to have suffered during her marriage with the singer, while his daughter said the abuse allegations against him are 'hard to digest'.

Andrea Kelly told GMB she wanted to come forward about her own experience to 'give validity' to the stories of women who have come forward to abuse Kelly of abuse - although the 44-year-old said she could not 'confirm' their individual stories.

Joann, 21, said she is no longer in touch with her father but felt 'my heart is torn in two' out of her feeling for him and sympathy for the alleged victims.

Kelly is being criminally investigated after several woman shared detailed accounts of his alleged physical and emotional abuse in the documentary series Surviving R Kelly. The 52-year-old denies all the allegations.

Discussing the allegations, Andrea told GMB: 'We're dealing with this as best as possible. It is very personal, him being my ex-husband and the father of my children.

'In the beginning, Robert the person was funny, and we started out as friends. It evolved into a relationship - he was very broken, he shared intimate secrets with me about being abused as a child and his illiteracy.

'The thing that bonded us was that my father, a Baptist preacher, put his hands on my mother. Domestic abuse isn't foreign to both of us.'

Andrea said she could never feel sympathy for her husband but could 'portray understanding'.

'I'm a firm believer that just because you were abused doesn't mean you have a free pass to be an abuser,' she sad.

'I sit here not only as a survivor but also the mother of his children. It's very difficult to me but I know my position. I know that coming forward brings validity to these women stories so I could not say something.

'We and these women don't know each other so how could we have the same stories about the same man and not know each other.'

Andrea said Kelly was still being abusive to her, having stopped paying child support last year.

'I believe he is abusive, I cannot confirm each of these women's stories, but what rings true to my life is what I can speak on,' he said.

'He was abusive to me verbally, physically, emotionally, and financially.'

Meanwhile, Joann also said she could not 'confirm or deny' any of the allegations and was finding the situation very hard to deal with.

'The situation in the blogs and all the allegations, it's very hard to digest,' she said.

'That's still my father and it’s a very hard situation to digest as my heart is torn into two different places.

'I spent years with him, so it's hard to see all those people who have been affected by someone so close to me.'

Azelia Banks Sobs After Being Banned From Flight

Azealia Banks has launched an extraordinary tearful rant at Aer Lingus staff after a row with a stewardess before a flight from Gatwick to Dublin. 

The 27-year-old called Irish women 'ugly' and used foul-mouthed racial slurs during the bizarre tirade which she shared on her Instagram story.  

The musician removed herself from a morning flight to Dublin, ahead of her sold-out gig at The Academy in the Irish capital on Tuesday.

She claimed she had been 'banned' from the airline after leaving the flight, saying she had been 'treated like a wild animal' on what she called her 'travel day from hell'.

The airline has confirmed she left the 10.55am flight from Gatwick but declined to comment on her specific allegations. 

Banks famously launched a foul-mouthed tirade at a flight attendant calling him a 'f***ing f***ot' when she was unable to get off a Delta plane in 2005. 

Taking to social media today, she said a stewardess had accused her of threatening to 'sort you out'. 

The musician denied she had used those words, saying she was from New York and would not have used that turn of phrase. 

In a series of Instagram stories she said: 'Every time I come to the UK, they always make some s**t with these airline people.

'They are always starting s*** with me. I had my bags deep in the plane and the lady was asking me some questions. 

'I was trying to find my passport as I didn't have the answers and she was staring at me. I said. "Don't stare at me". 

'She goes to the Captain of the plane and said that I said, "Don't stare at me or I'll sort you out". I'm from NYC, I don't use that slang.'  

She continued: 'They crowded round me like I'm some sort of animal saying, "we're going to have a problem".' 

'I get off the plane. I've worked too hard in my life to be cornered by some ugly Irish b***h. They are ugly Irish women here. 

'Then all these security n***** come over treating me like a wild animal. They tried their hardest to get me to do something or freak out.'

She said: 'B**** you're not going to play me over no f***ing Aer Lingus flight. You're not going to disrespect me and make a f***ing spectacle out of me'. 

Azealia then said her manager had managed to book her on a flight with a different airline, so she could still make her gig. 

She claimed she was banned from the airline, adding: 'Now they're like, "you can never fly Aer Lingus because you got off the plane". At first, they were trying to get me to stay.

'...They kept saying, "Call the police, call the police",' before the artist made a racial slur.   

An airline spokesperson said: 'Aer Lingus can confirm that two guests scheduled to fly on 10:55am flight from London Gatwick to Dublin (EI233) this morning disembarked themselves prior to departure. 

'The guests in question got off the plane safely of their own accord, while all other guests remained on board. As they had luggage in the hold, the flight was delayed while that luggage was sourced. 

'The flight departed Gatwick at 12:07 and landed in Dublin at 13:22. Aer Lingus has a strict no-tolerance policy towards disruptive guest behaviour. 

'The safety and security of our guests and crew remains our first priority.'

Woman’s Lip Bitten Off By Angry Girlfriend Of Man Who Gave Her Free Ride [Photos]

An ulcer patient has lost her lip in her quest to adhere to medical advice to eat at regular intervals.

The 25-year-old hairdresser has lost her lower lip in a fight with a nurse, who was incensed that her boyfriend gave the victim a lift in her quest to get food, Ina-Thalia Quansah reports from Kwesimitsim, Western region.

“She grabbed my lip and started chewing it as I struggled to defend myself but to no avail; suddenly I saw my blood splashing on the floor that was the last thing I remember at the salon.

I only woke up to find out I am at the hospital and my lower lip was gone.  Beatrice Agyapong told Ina-Thalia, Joy News correspondent in Takoradi,  amidst tears on her hospital bed in Kwesimintim hospital.


Recounting her ordeal to Ina-Thalia, Beatrice Agyapong said “I was recently treated of ulcer and was advised by doctors to adopt the habit of eating early to avoid complications.”

So on Friday 18th January 2019 at about 8:00 am, I decided to go to Kwesimintsim to buy food.  Just as I stepped out of the house, I saw a private car known to me passing, so I signaled it to a stop asked for a lift to Kwesimintsim so I could find some food to buy.”

The owner of this private car happens to be the boyfriend of the nurse, whose name has only been given as Mummy.

After getting her food, Beatrice said she returned to work, a Saloon at Airport Ridge, a suburb of Sekondi – Takoradi.

But the nurse suddenly showed up and confronted her for boarding the boyfriend’s car.  In the ensuing confrontation, the nurse bit off the victim’s entire lower lip.

According to Ina-Thalia, the victim was immediately rushed to the hospital but doctors on duty said the cells in the bitten off part had died, hence could not be stitched back.

A nurse in charge at Kwesimintsim hospital, Belinda Hayford , who confirmed the story at the hospital, said the bitten flesh was not brought along so doctors on duty sent for the bitten off flesh but by the time it was the cells were dead.

She explained the only way to get another lip for Beatrice Agyapong is through plastic surgery. A report has since been made to the Kwesimintsim police but the perpetrator is yet to be arrested.

A 26 -year-old woman, Hajara Shuaibu on Monday prayed a Sharia court sitting at Magajin Gari, Kaduna State to allow her return N90,000 bride price to her husband Aliyu Muhammad, so as to end their marriage.

The complainant who resides at Hayin Banki, told the court that she was no longer interested in the marriage and was ready to divorce her husband through redemption (Khul’i).

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that “Khul’i” is a type of divorce permitted in Islam where a wife returns the dowry she received to her husband to end the marriage.


On his part, the defendant who resides at Sabon Gari, Zaria prayed the court to give them time to discuss the matter with their parents for settlement.

The Judge, Malam Musa Sa’ad-Goma after listening to both parties, asked the complainant if she agrees to discuss the matter and she answered in the affirmative.

The judge adjourned the case to January 24, for the two parties to present the result of their discussion.

Obanikoro Tells Court How He Gave Fayose $5m from Arms Funds On Dasuki's Orders

Musiliu Obanikoro, a former Minister of Defence for State, testified in the ongoing corruption trial of former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose.

Fayose is standing trial alongside his company, Spotless, on allegations that he benefitted from N6.9billion siphoned through the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) in the previous administration.

Obanikoro was led in evidence by Rotimi Jacobs (SAN), counsel to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), before Justice Mojisola Olatoregun of the Federal High Court in Lagos on Monday.


Giving his testimony, he said: “In June 2014, I received a call from Mr. Peter Ayodele Fayose, when we were approaching the gubernatorial election in Ekiti State wanting to know if there is any message from National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki, but I replied ‘no’. Shortly after his call, a message entered from the NSA saying a certain amount of money will be received into the account that was opened to manage Boko Haram threat under my watch as Minister of State for Defence.

“NSA told me that Fayose will call me as to how he will receive the money. A total equivalent of $5m from the National Security Adviser imprest account was given to Fayose by the order of NSA.”

Obanikoro said Fayose introduced one Biodun Agbele to him as the recipient for the money, which was done at Akure Airport, because it was cash.

“I had earlier wanted to transfer the dollars so that the naira equivalent can be withdrawn in Ado Ekiti, which was the reason I initially called Diamond Bank MD, but he replied that the bank does not have such capacity in Ado Ekiti for that huge amount of money,” he added.

Obanikoro said the sum of N200million was given to Fayose on June 5, 2014 from the National Security Adviser imprest account.

He equally said the sum of N2billion was delivered to Fayose during the Ekiti State election in 2014 from the NSA’s imprest account on June 16, 2014, noting that his aide, who is now late, was at the meeting where Fayose acknowledged receipt of the total Naira equivalent of the $5million.

Fayose's counsel, Kanu Agabi (SAN), applied for an adjournment to enable him cross-examine Obanikoro.

Meanwhile, counsel to Fayose's company, Mr Olalekan Ojo (SAN), who is also joined as a second defendant in the suit, also urged Justice Olatoregun to adjourn the case to enable him confer with his client on Obanikoro’s testimony.

Justice Olatoregun adjourned the case till February 5 and 6, 2019.

Another Man Caught In Ekiti With Human Faeces [Photos]

Another man has been caught in Ekiti allegedly picking human faeces. The young man was caught by residents who noticed he was packing somethings into a black polythene bag. He was confronted and alas human faces were found in the bag with him.

He was then stripped unclad, beaten and paraded in public after being alleged to be a ritualist.

This comes just days after a man was caught in a refuse dump in Ado-Ekiti collecting excreta. Seems Ekiti is on a whole new one!

Delta Man Who Wanted To Have A Spiritual Sight To See Winning Lotto Numbers Loses Sight

A 27 year-old man has lost an eye in his quest for spiritual powers and sight to help him see luck numbers and win lottery games.

The victim, Emmanuel Okachi, reportedly sought help from a witchdoctor in Ishiagu village, near Ogwashi-Uku in Delta State to acquire spiritual sight to see lucky numbers.

A friend of the victim, Osita Uzoka, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Ogwashi-Uku that the incident occurred on Jan. 12, 2019.

“He went to see a juju man to help him acquire spiritual sight so that he can be wining lotto games, popularly known as ‘Baba Ijebu.’


“He once told me that he was worried that he has been playing lotto games without success,” Uzoka said.

According to him, Emmanuel later sought the help of a witch doctor who assured him of spiritual solution. Uzoka narrated how the victim later went to the witch doctor who reportedly prepared some concoctions for him. He said the witch doctor gave Emmanuel the prepared substance to drink and rob on his eyes.

“He never told anyone what he did, but when he started feeling some discomfort in his left eye, he cried out.

“I heard about it from one of our friends so I went to see him, that was when he told me what transpired.

“He was taken to the hospital following a swollen eye, but no solution. Right now, he has lost his left eye,” Uzoka said.

An elder brother to the victim, Justin Okachi, told NAN that the family is devastated by the incident.

“We don’t want to say anything about it. We are really shocked by Emma’s desperation. “For now, we want to forget about the whole incident. He has his life to live,” Uche said.

NAN gathered from village sources that the witch doctor, whose name was not given, has since gone into hiding.

Court Restrains EFCC, Police From Arresting Fani-Kayode, Odumakin

An Abuja Federal High Court, has restrained the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigeria Police from arresting or detaining Femi Fani-Kayode and Yinka Odumakin.

Justice John Tsoho, gave the order on Monday, following an ex parte application argued by Mr Chukwuma Machukwu-Ume (SAN) on behalf of the duo.

Machukwu-Ume told the court that the three security agencies were planning to arrest and detain his clients over comments they made with regard to the travails of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen.


“The spokesman of the EFCC, Mr Tony Orilede, was alleged to have made the threat to arrest them publicly at a conference where he represented the EFCC chairman.

The Judge adjourned the matter until Feb. 4.

Court Restates Order Stopping CCT From Forcing CJN To Vacate Office

The National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) in Abuja on Monday restated its earlier order restraining the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and some others from forcing the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen to vacate office in view of the allegation of non-disclosure of assets made against him.

Also to be bound by the order are other defendants in a suit by Peter Abang. They are The Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), the National Judicial Council (NJC), the Federal Judicial Service Commission (FJSC), the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) and the Senate President.

Justice Sanusi Kado had, in an ex-parte ruling on January 14 this year made similar order and equally halted the scheduled trial of the CJN before the CCT on charges of non-declaration of assets.


The judge restrained all the defendants in the suit from attempting to force the CJN out office pending the hearing and determination of the plaintiff’s motion for interlocutory injunction.

Acting IGP Orders Disbandment Of FSARS, Others

The Acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the immediate disbandment of the Federal SARS, Special Investigation Panel and Special Tactical Squad.

He announced this on Monday at his inaugural conference with Commissioners of Police and other senior officers in Abuja.

Based on the new directive, there will now be a Special Anti-Robbery Squad domiciled in each of the 36 states under the direct supervision of the Commissioners of Police.

The IGP Special Investigation Panel and IGP Special Tactical Squad were established by the former IGP, Ibrahim Idris, who also centralised the operations of SARS into Federal SARS.

Cops Are Called To Blac Chyna's Home After Anonymous Tip-Off She Was Drunk & Neglecting Baby Dream

Police were called to Blac Chyna's home after she was accused of neglecting her child Dream Kardashian according to a new report.

An anonymous caller reported the 30-year-old to authorities Sunday evening, according to TMZ, claiming that the salon owner was drunk and unfit to care for the two-year-old.

When Los Angeles Police Department officers paid a visit to the home of Chyna, whose real name is Angela Renée White, everyone at the abode was sober and the toddler was being cared for fine.

A nanny was also on the premises, according to the outlet.



The Washington D.C. native was involved in a clash with one of her makeup artists on Sunday, sources told the outlet, which might have factored into the anonymous tip.

Thierry Henry has admitted his regret at calling a player's grandmother a 'whore' during Monaco's 5-1 defeat by Strasbourg on Saturday.

The former Arsenal striker, who took his first managerial job with the Ligue 1 side in October, was caught berating Kenny Lala from the touchline as the defender took a throw-in near the dugouts just before half-time.
