Dino Melaye Detained By Police As They File Fresh Charges

The Nigeria Police Force has snubbed an order of a Federal Capital Territory High Court which granted Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, bail.

It was gathered that the police refused to release the lawmaker on Monday despite the fact that Melaye had fulfilled the bail conditions.

The Punch learnt that the FCT Commissioner of Police, who was served the bail order, declined to release the senator.

Findings showed that the police had filed fresh nine charges against the embattled lawmaker and one Silas Omenka.

The charge dated January 14, 2019,was co-signed by Kehinde Oluwole, Malik Taiwo and Seyi Otunla, all of the force legal office, Abuja.

Melaye was accused of illegal obstruction of lawful arrest, resisting arrest and accusing the erstwhile Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, of planning to “inject him to death.”

One of the charges read in part, “That you Senator Dino Melaye, 45years, representing Kogi West… at about 11am, at your residence… inform the public on Twitter that the police detectives are trying to plant guns in your cars outside, an information you know to be false… thereby committing an offence punishable under Section 392 of the Penal Code."

Nigerian Footballer Sodje & Brothers Jailed In UK For Fraud

A popular sporting family has been “shamed” for milking a charity set up for poor African children, irishexaminer.com reports.

Ex-footballers Efe Sodje, 46, and Stephen Sodje, 43, and ex-rugby player Bright Sodje, 52, were found guilty and jailed for siphoning off money from their family charity, the Sodje Sports Foundation.

The fraud trial had heard how the Sodjes set up their
charity in 2009 to help provide sporting facilities to youngsters in Nigeria.

Ashley Carson, a businessman and director of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club, and one of the city’s MPs, Clive Betts, were recruited to give the charity respectability – but when they asked for bank statements and financial reports, they were fobbed off.

Once the pair resigned as trustees and directors in 2013, “the amount of money being transferred to the Sodje family increased dramatically”, prosecutor Julian Christopher QC said.

Cash raised at black tie dinners, auctions, charity football matches and a clay pigeon shoot went into Sodje bank accounts.

The SSF held a charity football match at Sheffield Wednesday’s grounds in 2009, and arranged a fundraising dinner at Charlton Football Club in September 2010.

In 2011, there was a gala dinner at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester for the SSF and the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital – a charity supported by England women’s football coach Phil Neville.

Efe handed out Easter eggs – provided by the hospital – to child cancer patients, while five Sodje brothers attended a £150-a-head black tie dinner.

The event raised almost £11,500, but Mr Christopher said, “Not a penny went to the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.”

Sentencing, Judge Michael Topolski QC told the defendants, “You have brought shame upon yourselves and your family.”

He sentenced Stephen, of Bexley, to two years and six months in prison, saying he lied repeatedly to the jury and was a “self-regarding and arrogant man with a strong sense of self-entitlement”.

The court heard he received about £30,000 from the charity funds, but continued to protest his innocence, describing it as expenses or wages.

His lawyer Kieran Galvin said the conviction was “shattering” and a “massive fall from grace” for the defendant, who now worked as a carer and has two young step-daughters.

Father-of-one Efe, who was “the face” of the charity, was given 18 months in jail, having received around £7,500 plus an unknown amount of cash from the clay pigeon shoot.

He collapsed in the dock and staggered away supported on each side by officers.

Bright, of Sale, Greater Manchester, was jailed for 21 months for his part in “milking the charity”.

He had received some £3,000, but also signed cheques to other family members totalling about £18,000.

The judge said, “All three of these defendants in various ways exploited their own and their families’ reputation, not only for the benefit of the poor children of the Niger valley but also for their own benefit.

“In this case, the defendants were all well-known and respected men, particularly in the world of football and sport both here and in Africa.

“One had the honour of playing for his country in the World Cup final.

“I have no doubt to some extent at least it was that form of respect that made it possible or more likely that their fans and admirers would make donations to the charity that had been formed by them in their name.”

He said, “at least £63,000 can be shown to have been received by the fund”, but added it was important to note that it did not include cash donations, and the defendants “went out of their way” to ensure that proper records were not kept.

Any good works done in the past would be “forever tainted by their dishonest and disreputable conduct,” he added.

In separate telephone interviews with The Punch, Bright and Efe insisted they were innocent of the charges.

Bright said, “We are still arguing about the case in court, so I can’t really say much. But I still maintain that we are not guilty as charged. But if they say mismanagement, and we never had any experience in running charity, right now, I cannot say much. When the time comes, I will be happy to come to Nigeria and sit in front of anybody and tell my side of the story.”

Efe said, “As far as I’m concerned we are not guilty. I can’t say much for now.”

APC Leaders Are Liars, Reject Them - Atiku

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, on Monday said he would not disappoint Nigerians if he was elected president.

The former Vice-President, who spoke during a PDP presidential campaign rally in Dutse, Jigawa State, said, “I will not disappoint you all. You should know that the APC are liars, they came to lie to us and deceived us.

“When we gave them our mandate, when they became President they forget about all what they promised us.

“Another important thing is that you should all come out and vote, don’t just vote but ensure that your vote count.”

The PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus, Prince Uche Secondus, said Atiku would unite the country. He said, “Atiku remains the man that will defeat the APC, the man they are afraid of.

Two Men Break Into Redeemed Church, Steal Church Property

Two men were, on Monday, arraigned before the Igbosere High Court for allegedly breaking into the Redeemed Christian Church of God in the Ijegun area of Lagos State and stealing items worth N680,000 at gunpoint.

The defendants, Bright Oriakwu and Babajide Akinola, were arraigned on five counts bordering on conspiracy, armed robbery, burglary and belonging to an unlawful society.

According to the prosecutor, Tunde Sunmonu, the defendants conspired with others still at large to break into the church and stole mixers, amplifiers and four speakers.

Sunmonu added that the defendants also stole from the people in the premises of the church.

The defendants were alleged to have committed the offences between November 27, 2015, and December 29, 2015, at No. 4 Ezimorah Street, off Marwa Road, Ijegun, Satellite Town, Lagos.

“The accused, while armed with a gun, robbed one Mr Chigozie Orgwu of his HP laptop worth N200,000, two mobile phones worth N110,000, a digital external drive worth N100,000, a watch worth N70,000 and a cash sum of N200,000,” Sunmonu said.

He added that the defendants were caught while trying to join an unlawful society, the Eiye Confraternity.

The offences, according to him, contravene sections 42 (a), 297 (a), 311 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The prosecutor, however, urged the court to remand the defendants in police custody and requested an accelerated trial.

Justice Adedayo Akintoye, however, ordered that the duo should be remanded in prison and adjourned the case till March 11 and 12 for trial.

Obasanjo Trends Over Letter To Buhari... Tinubu, Others Hit Him

The All Progressives Congress leaders, including a former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Monday at the presidential rally of the party in Maiduguri, took turns to berate former President Olusegun Obasanjo over his latest attack on President Muhammadu Buhari.

Obasanjo, had in a 16-page statement, likened Buhari to the late military dictator, Gen Sani Abacha, over poor leadership and Impunity.

But at the APC rally, Tinubu described Obasanjo as an expired leader, who should not be trusted, adding that Obasanjo’s government was notorious for election rigging.

The APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, also lambasted Obasanjo, saying the ex-President was watching when the Peoples Democratic Party government was stealing funds meant for fighting Boko Haram.

The Director-General of Buhari/Osinbajo Campaign Organisation and the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, recalled that when he was a governor in Rivers State, the Obasanjo’s government withdrew his security detail.

Obasanjo is an expired leader – Tinubu
Tinubu, who is the APC Campaign Co-Chairman, highlighted the barrage of attacks on Obasanjo, saying the ex-President should have retired to his farm in Ota and remained quiet.

He said, “It is unfortunate that expired leaders like Olusegun Obasanjo are ranting and lying. Don’t trust him. We are sweeping all the cobwebs of corruption away with broom out of Nigeria. Ota farm should be enough a retirement place for Obasanjo to keep quiet.

“Who among Nigerians will recall how the PDP government under Obasanjo was notorious for rigging elections? No government has upheld the tenets of democracy like the government of President Buhari. We asked for the recognition of June 12 from Obasanjo, he refused, but President Buhari as an honest man with integrity heard our cry and recognised June 12.

“Even if the forum of association of angry old men refuses to vote for Buhari, we will give him 95 per cent votes.”

Tinubu noted that four years ago the APC had promised to take the ship of Nigeria to the right direction. This, he said, the party had done.

Obasanjo is frustrated – Oshiomhole
APc chairman claimed that Obasanjo’s attack on Buhari was borne out of frustration.

He said, “The people writing epistle now watched how money meant for security was appropriated by not only the PDP but the generals. Under their watch, over 20 local government areas of Borno State were taken over by the Boko Haram terrorists before the coming of President Buhari.

“Today, no matter what they want to say, there is no local government where Boko Haram is hoisting its flag. All the 27 local government areas of Borno have been liberated by the APC government.”

Obasanjo’s govt drove me into exile, Amaechi says
Amaechi also said under the PDP government his security detail was withdrawn, while he was chased out of the country by Obasanjo.

Amaechi stated, “Sometime in 2006, I was driven out of this country by a PDP-led Federal Government. I went into exile in Ghana. I was in Ghana for 10 months. I was expelled from the party, the PDP until I became a governor. And when I became a governor, I told them I did not want to belong to the PDP again. They met me and apologised and readmitted me into the PDP.”

He urged Nigerians to compare the administration of the PDP with the current government of Buhari and decide which was closer to Abacha’s government.

“I was a governor in 2013, 2014, 2015. I had no security. A PDP-led government had chased my CSO and my ADC away. My ADC ran to London, my CSO was put in an underground cell. A major who was in my convoy was also put in an underground cell. I was left without security.”

PDP attacks Buhari for insulting Obasanjo
But the PDP on Monday attacked President Buhari for allegedly hauling insults on to respected leaders and elder statesmen, including Obasanjo.

The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, in a statement stated that in approving his media aide, Mallam Shehu Garba, to allegedly cast aspersions and insult on Obasanjo, Buhari was setting a very bad example to younger Nigerians.

He said, “Instead of attacking Obasanjo, President Buhari should have been sobered and retraced his steps in the interest of the corporate existence of our country which he is pushing to the precipice.”

Buhari is sick in spirit, soul and body –Obasanjo
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has attacked President Muhammadu Buhari, saying he is sick in the spirit, body and soul.

The elder statesman said this in an interview with BBC Yoruba.

Obasanjo said, “Buhari is sick in the spirit, body and soul. Let’s beg him to go and rest. He has tried his best. Let give chance to another person.

“When people ask me that what if the next person is not suitable, I tell them that is the beauty of democracy.”

Obasanjo Is An Expired Politician – Tinubu

National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Monday called on Nigerians to ignore former President Olusegun Obasanjo, dismissing him as an expired politician.

Tinubu, who spoke at the All Progressives Congress(APC) rally in Maiduguri, told the teeming supporters: “I can hear the other expired leaders like Obasanjo, ranting and lying. Don’t believe, don’t trust him, he is expired.”

Tinubu regretted the frequent attacks on the Buhari-led administration by Obasanjo, stressing the current government was cleaning up the mess and rot of the past PDP administrations.

“When we came on board in 2015, we made promises to all Nigerians that as the sheep of this country, we are going to turn it to the right direction and we have done that.

“We are sweeping all the cobwebs of the collateral corruption, we are sweeping it away to give Nigerians a new life, new home and a solid foundation; that is what President Buhari is doing and we are 100 per cent with him.

“President Muhammadu Buhari has been upright, firm and has been steady, focused with a great vision for the betterment and progress of this country.

“We can recall the rigging in 2003 under Obasanjo, we also knew what happened in 2007 under President Obasanjo.

“95 percent of you must come out and vote en mass for Buhari because no other president had upheld democratic principles like President Buhari.

Story Of UNILAG Graduate Turned Suspected Serial R*pist

Three employees of the University of Lagos on Monday told an Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court how an alleged r*pist, John Otema, attacked students on campus.

Otema is facing three counts of r*pe and assault occasioning harm.

He, however, denied committing the offences which contravene Sections 173 and 260(1)(2) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The Unilag employees who testified during Monday’s proceedings include Mr. Ayodeji Ajayi, a member of the Crime Section, Unilag Security Unit, who is also the Investigating Security Officer in the case.

The others are Dr. Adedoyin Solola from the University of Lagos Medical School; and Dr. Aishat Bello of the Unilag Medical Centre.

Ajayi, who gave evidence-in-chief on December 11, 2018, was cross-examined by Mr. Fred Onyeka, Otema’s defence counsel, during Monday’s proceedings.

NAN reports that Ajayi, while being led in evidence on December 11, 2018 by the state Prosecutor, Mrs. K. A. Momoh-Ayokambi, narrated how the first complainant (name withheld) told him how she was allegedly r*ped by the accused.

“On Wednesday January 17, 2018, while coming from her hostel to Moremi Hall, an unknown man parked his car and asked for directions to Moremi Hall; he compelled her to enter the car.

“The unknown man drove her to the Distant Learning Institute area where he assaulted her by punching her face several times; he bit her back and ordered her to remove her clothes.

“He took her n*de photos and had carnal knowledge of her twice without a condom. The defendant deflowered her that day, he asked her to bring a handkerchief which she used to clean her privates.

“He collected the handkerchief, took her pant and bra and took her to a dumpsite. He ordered her to leave his car and told her to count from one to 50 and he drove off,” he quoted the student as narrating.

Ajayi also testified on December 11, 2018 that another student (name withheld) had, on February 1, 2018, lodged a complaint at the Unilag Security Post that the accused raped her twice at 11.30p.m. on January 31, 2018 in his apartment at Bariga, Lagos.

He said that the accused was apprehended when the second student saw him outside New Hall (a hostel in Unilag) and alerted the university Security Section.

While being cross-examined on Monday by Onyeka, Ajayi denied assaulting Otema when he was apprehended by the security team of the university.

“I never poured water on the defendant; I did not tell the defendant to kneel before his car. I did not run a scan of the car’s plate number to determine whether it belonged to the defendant, as we do not have such gadget in our security unit.

“The last time I saw that car was when I went to the Adeniji Adele Police Station,” Ajayi said.

The witness told the court that though Unilag Security did not have jurisdiction outside the campus, the security team would be involved investigating cases of students’ assault.

In her evidence, Solola, who has been a staff of the Unilag Medical School for 12 years, explained her findings when she medically examined the first student.

“On examination, she had a swollen face, black eyes, and scratches on her neck and a visible bite mark on her upper back. She also had bruises on her arms.

“I asked her if she would do a vag-inal exam and she consented. She had a small laceration on the posterior aspect of the vag-ina; there was remnant of hymen seen and some clotted blood but she was not bleeding as at that time.

“We sent her for post-exposure propolatis and post-coital exposure and we also gave her an anti-tetanus injection, and the scratches and bite mark were healed,” she said.

Momoh-Ayokambi, the Prosecutor, sought to tender a Certified True Copy of the medical report but Onyeka objected on the grounds that it was not served on him as part of the proof of evidence.

Justice Sururat Soladoye upheld the rejection of the report on the grounds that it was not served on the defence counsel.

While being cross-examined by Onyeka, Solola said she had no physical contact with the accused while she conducted her investigation.

“During the examination, I only asked the victim about the identity of who perpetuated the act, and she said it was someone who was in a car, who had asked for directions,” Solola said.

Testifying, Dr. Bello, a staff of the Unilag Medical Centre, narrated her findings when she examined the second victim.

“A young lady came in at 2.30p.m. on February 1, 2018. She complained that she was s*xually assaulted; she said she visited a male friend (the defendant) and was assaulted.

“On examination, I saw a sad looking lady, areas of redness around both eyes and there was a bruise at the left part of her neck. On examination of the vag-ina, there was tenderness around the vulva. There was a cut around the opening of the vag-ina and a whitish discharge from the vag-ina.

“An assessment of s*xual assault was made based on the examination, and we further sent the patient for some investigation such as HIV, Hepatitis B and a pregnancy test which came out negative.

“There was a documentation done in the hospital in her case file; a report was made to the security unit at Unilag,” she said.

While being cross-examined by Onyeka, Bello also said she had no contact with the accused during her investigation.

The judge adjourned the case until February 18, for continuation of trial.

Just Imagine! This Man Spent 45 Years Of His Life In Prison For A Crime He Didn't Commit

A man who spent 45 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit has been set free, but he is now selling art he painted while in jail to make ends meet.

Richard Phillips, 73, was cleared of a 1971 homicide and was released from jail in 2017 after an investigation by University of Michigan law students and the Wayne County prosecutor’s office proved his innocence.

Last year, he became the longest-serving inmate in America to be granted exoneration, The Associated Press reported.

According to a Michigan law, Phillips could be eligible for more than $2 million in compensation — $50,000 for every year he spent wrongfully imprisoned.
However, the matter with the state is unsettled, and in the meantime, he says he needs cash.

Phillips says painting was his escape while facing a life sentence in a Michigan prison.

“I didn’t actually think I’d ever be free again. This art is what I did to stay sane,” the former auto worker said.

He was able to get painting supplies by selling handmade cards to other inmates.

Every morning, when his cellmate was gone, he would bring out his watercolors and paint scenes that inspired him, such as photos he saw in newspapers.

However, because of prison rules, he wasn’t allowed to keep his art, so he sent them to a pen pal in New York for safe keeping.

Once he was released, he said he visited the pen pal and was relieved to find more than 400 of his watercolor paintings in excellent condition.

Now, he has about 50 of them on display at a Detroit art gallery, hoping to sell them and make some money for basic needs.

Still, Phillips says it’s tough to part with his paintings. “These are like my children,” he told The Associated Press.

“But I don’t have any money. I don’t have a choice. Without this, I’d have a cup on the corner begging for nickels and dimes. I’m too old to get a job,” he continued.

Phillips’ petition for compensation is currently being reviewed by Michigan’s attorney general, Dana Nessel.

According to a spokesperson, the decision is difficult, because Phillips has an unresolved disputed conviction in a different state.

Phillips remains positive about the future. His attorney, Gabi Silver, called him one of the “warmest, kindest, most considerate” people she had ever met.

“To suffer what he has suffered, to still be able to find good in people and to still be able to see the beauty in life; it’s remarkable,” she said.

How I Gave Fayose $5m Cash From Security Fund - Obanikoro

Musiliu Obanikoro, a former minister of state for defence on Monday testified that he was directed to pay money from public funds to a former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose.

He gave evidence before Mojisola Olatoregun, a judge of the Federal High Court in Lagos during the trial of Mr Fayose.

Mr Obanikoro said he was directed to pay money to Mr Fayose from national security funds.

He said this while being led in evidence by the prosecuting counsel, Rotimi Jacobs, who is prosecuting the case on behalf of the anti-graft agency, EFCC.

Mr Fayose and his company, Spotless, are being prosecuted for alleged illegal diversion of funds of about N6.9 billion.

Mr Obanikoro told the court that, “on a Monday in June, 2014 I received a call from Mr Peter Ayodele Fayose, when we were approaching the gubernatorial election in Ekiti State, wanting to know if there is any message from National Security Adviser Col Sambo Dasuki but I replied no.

“But shortly after his call, a message came in from NSA saying certain amount of money will be received into the account that was opened to manage Boko Haram threat under my watch as minister of state for defence. NSA told me that Fayose will call me as to how he will receive the money.”

“A total equivalent of $5 million from National Security Adviser impress account was given to Fayose by the order of NSA.”

He also said that Mr Fayose introduced one “Biodun Agbele to me that he would be the one to receive the money for him which was done in Akure Airport because it was physical cash.”

“I had earlier wanted to transfer the dollars so that the Naira equivalent can be withdrawn in Ado Ekiti, which was the reason why I initially called Diamond Bank M.D but he replied that the bank does not have such capacity in Ado Ekiti for that huge amount of money.”

The former minister also told the court that due to the inability of the bank to pay the equivalent of the money in naira, he had to give physical cash of N200 million to Mr Fayose on June 5, 2014, from the National Security Adviser’s imprest account. He said another N2 billion was paid to Mr Fayose on the 16th of June 2014 from the same account.

He further informed the court that his late aide was in the meeting where Mr Fayose acknowledged the receipt of a total naira equivalent of $5m at Spotless hotel in Ado Ekiti, owned by Mr Fayose.

The counsel to Mr Fayose, Kanu Agabi, a senior advocate, applied for an adjournment to enable him to cross-examine Mr Obanikoro. He said the witness had said a lot in court and he would need time to look through his statements before cross-examining the witness.

The counsel to the 2nd defendant, Olalekan Ojo, a senior advocate, also urged the judge to adjourn the case to enable him to confer with his client on the evidence of the witness.

The judge, Mojisola Olatoregun, subsequently adjourned the case to February 4,5 and 6, 2019.

The EFCC is accusing the former governor and his company, Spotless, of receiving various funds from the office of former NSA, Dasuki Sambo. The monies are believed to have been meant for security tasks including funding the war against Boko Haram.

Part of the charge reads that “on June 17, 2014, Fayose and Agbele were said to have taken possession of the sum of N1.2 billion, for purposes of funding his gubernatorial election campaign in Ekiti State, which sum they reasonably ought to have known formed part of crime proceeds.”

The former governor was also alleged to have received a cash payment of $5 million (about N1.8 billion) from Mr Obanikoro, without going through any financial institution.

The offences contravened the provisions of sections 15(1), 15 (2), 15 (3), 16(2) (b), 16 (d), and 18 (c) of the Money Laundering Prohibition Act 2011.

Messrs Obanikoro and Fayose were allies and members of the opposition PDP during the period of the transaction. But Obanikoro has, however, since joined Nigeria’s ruling party, APC, and is now a prosecution witness.

Toor! Member Allegedly Defrauds Pastor Of N9m

For allegedly defrauding his former Pastor of N9m, the Police on Monday arraigned a 39-year-old businessman, Obiora Okosi, at a Gudu Upper Area court, sitting in Abuja.

The defendant, who resides at No. 89 Limka Rd., Nkpor, Anambra State, is being tried on two counts of criminal breach of trust and cheating.

The prosecutor, Blessing Igale, told the court that one David Elijah of 3rd Avenue, Gwarimpa, Abuja, reported the case at Police Force Headquarters, Abuja in December 2018.

Igale alleged that the defendant had convinced Elijah, the General Overseer of Grace Prophetic Ministry, Awka, to buy a plot of land located in the FCT for N12m.

She told the court that the complainant had paid the defendant N9m for the land but that all efforts made to recover the land or have the money returned to him had failed.

The prosecutor further alleged that rather than refund the money, the defendant resorted to threatening the life of the complainant.

The prosecutor said that the offences contravened the provisions of sections 311 and 321 of the Penal Code. The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Judge, Bello Rufai, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N1m, with a surety in like sum.

Rufai adjourned the case until January 29, for hearing.

New IGP Adamu Disbands FSARS, Takes More Actions

Mohammed Adamu, the acting inspector general of police, has ordered the immediate disbandment of the federal special anti-robbery squad (FSARS).

Speaking at his inaugural conference in Abuja on Monday, Adamu also directed that all quasi-investigation and operations outfits including the special investigation panel (SIP) and special tactical squad (STS) should also be disbanded.

“The proposed re-organisation will produce a new
Special Anti-Robbery Unit which will be professional enough to protect the citizens in their line of duty, but uniquely potent enough to respond to any major weapon-related organised crimes in the swiftest and most ethical manner,” he said.

“While this initiative is being perfected, the operations of SARS which is currently centralised at the Force Headquarters is hereby decentralised: consequently, with immediate effect, the Commissioner of Police in each of the 36 Police Commands and the FCT is to assume full command and control authority on all SARS in their commands, while the FHQ Unit is, henceforth, subsumed under the command of the DIG FCIID.

“The impact of this is that the DIG FCIID and Command CPS shall from this date, not only assume administrative and operational control of SARS in their respective Commands, they shall also be directly held liable for any professional misconducts resulting from the operations of the Units in their Commands.

“Similarly, all quasi-investigation and operations outfits including the Special Investigation Panel (SIP) and Special Tactical Squad (STS) or any other such Teams under whatever name are hereby disbanded.”

Adamu also said a special election investigation team (SEIT) has been set up to carry out detailed investigations of all arrested electoral offenders across the country.
