Bobrisky, Liz Anjorin Drag Troll Who Insulted BOB

Sigh! A troll this morning got more than what he bargained for after insulting Bobrisky. Liz Anjorin had posted a photo of Bob on her page, thanking him for attending her turbaning, but the married man instead insulted Bob for his way of life. Liz then went to his page, took some of his photos, including one with his wife and rained curses on him. And hmm, Bob did the same too! All that below...

Maryam Sanda Reveals N*de Pictures Caused Death Of Husband

Maryam Sanda, who is standing trial for allegedly killing her husband, Bilyaminu Bello, has reportedly revealed in a statement that n*de pictures on his phone led to the fight that eventually led to his killing.

According to Mrs Sanda in the said statement she made to the police, the fight eventually led to his (Bilyaminu) death.

Mrs Sanda was charged for the murder of Mr Bello, a son of former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairman, Haliru Bello.

The accused was charged alongside her mother, Maimuna Aliyu; her brother, Aliyu Sanda; and their house-help, Sadiya Aminu.

Mr Bello died in November 2017.

During a court session on Tuesday, a police officer involved in the investigation of Mr Bello’s death, Josephine Onyinyedu, told the court that Mrs Sanda had written the statement herself, “without being forced to do it”.

Mr Oyinyedu is the sixth witness presented to the court by the prosecution on Mrs Sanda’s trial.

In the statement which was tendered as an exhibit before the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High court in Maitama, Mrs Sanda said she saw nude pictures a lady had sent to her husband’s phone and confronted him.

According to Mrs Sanda in the statement, during the fight in their Maitama residence, Mr Bello had slipped on a wet floor and then fell over a broken shisha pot.

She added that she drove husband to the General Hospital in Maitama where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The counsel representing the prosecution, Fidelis Ogbobe, sought to tender a medical report which was issued by a doctor at the hospital and addressed to the divisional police officer (DPO).

But Mrs Sanda’s counsel, Olusegun Jolaawo, objected to the admissibility of the document.

Mr Jolaawo stated that only the doctor, “who is the maker of the document” can identify and tender the said report as an exhibit before the court.

Following this, the judge, Yusuf Halilu, ruled that the witness was in a good position to tender the document since the report was addressed to the police.

After the judge’s ruling, Mr Jolaawo revealed that he is set to file a no case application before the court.

Mr Halilu then adjourned to February 27, for continuation of trial.

Obasanjo Should Be Respected - Shehu Sani warns Buhari

The lawmaker representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to apply caution in dealing with former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

Sani who gave the warning via his twitter handle on Tuesday advised Buhari against probing Obasanjo because many of the current presidential aides were part of the former President’s government.

In the tweets laced with figurative expressions, Sani said, “If you decide to open and probe the kitchen and the food store left by Obj (Obasanjo) because of his bitter leaf letters, you will see the names of many people on your dining table today.

“The table manners and the cutlery they used for his (Obasanjo’s) spaghetti is the same they are using for your noodles.

“Nigerian leaders adopt habitual and perpetual friends of the throne and assume they are loyal friends of the king.”

Reps Pass Bill Criminalising Estimated Billing

The House of Representatives has passed a bill for an Act to amend the Electric Power Reform Act to prohibit and criminalise estimated billing by the Electricity Distribution Companies.

The bill was passed during a plenary presided over by the Deputy Speaker, Hon Yussuf Lasun, after it was read for the third time by the Clerk, at the floor of the House yesterday.

The bill, which was sponsored by the Leader of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila, was unanimously voted in support when it was put to voice vote.

The bill which contains sections criminalising the arbitrary estimation of energy consumed by consumers, who have not been supplied pre-paid meters by the electricity distribution companies, had scaled public hearing on Tuesday, June 5, 2018.

Speaking at the public hearing Gbajabiamila said there was nowhere in the world where electricity customers are billed arbitrarily as obtains in Nigeria.

Gbajabiamila said, “Any regulation that allows estimation of bills when the actual consumption can be ascertained is against natural justice and equity and should not stand.”

He then maintained that the bill would put an end to the estimated billing by the DisCos when passed. God bless Gbajabiamila for this.

"I don't want to say it wasn't dealt with properly, but I think we went about it, not the way we should and you learn your lesson, you live and you learn," he said.

"It was a good experience. I really enjoyed just being in a team and it was different from track and field and it was fun while it lasted."

Bolt's finest moment on a football pitch came in October when he started for the Mariners in a friendly and scored a brace of goals.

The multiple Olympic champion, who won gold medals in Beijing, London and Rio, will now focus on his business ventures.

Two Sisters Nabbed For Trying To Smuggle Cannabis, Tramadol Into Kuje Prison

Officers of the Kuje Medium Security Prison in the Federal Capital Territory have arrested two sisters for attempting to smuggle substances suspected to be cannabis and Tramadol into the prison premises.

The prime suspect, identified as Miss Blessing Chinwuba, allegedly concealed the prohibited items in a carton of neatly packed noodles, which she wanted to take into the prison.

She was arrested by vigilant officers at the prison’s gate before she could pass the items to an inmate, John Ifeanyichukwu.

This was contained in a statement by the FCT Prisons Service Command spokesman, Humphrey Chukwuedo, on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the prime suspect, who feigned ignorance of the contents of her illegal cargo during interrogation, claimed that the consignment was given to her by her younger sister, Victoria.

Victoria, while corroborating her sibling’s claims, also said she was unaware of the contents of the consignment, which she said she merely collected from a courier service provider.

The two suspects have been handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency for further investigation and possible prosecution.

Father Of R Kelly 'Prisoner' Says He Believes Daughter Has 'Stockholm Syndrome'

The father of alleged R Kelly captive Joycelyn Savage has revealed to DailyMailTV how his teenage daughter looked like a 'prisoner' and 'screamed like a madwoman' at the mention of the RnB singer's name during their disturbing last encounter more than two years ago.

Timothy Savage broke down as he spoke about how he fears for the life of his 'brainwashed' eldest daughter. He believes she is suffering from Stockholm syndrome - a psychological condition which sees hostages grow to love their captors.

'We had to bring attention to this because we thought our daughter was going to end up in the woods somewhere,' Timothy said
.

He said his daughter, who met Kelly when she was 19, has not seen any family in more than two years and even missed the chance to spend the last moments with her beloved grandfather on his deathbed.

The father and his attorney say that they have evidence Kelly locked up women in his homes in Atlanta and Chicago, beat them, made them urinate in buckets and refused to allow them to contact their families.

Timothy and his wife Jonjelyn, 43, have fought for two years to bring home Joycelyn after she disappeared in the middle of the night from her Georgia college campus in December 2016.

They owned two clothing boutiques in Atlanta but sold them to raise funds.

'We've used the majority of our savings, everything we have, in order to get our daughter home,' he said.

Joycelyn is believed to be living in one of Kelly's properties in Chicago along with another woman, Azriel Clary, whose family have also claimed that she is being held captive.

Her father, 45, told DailyMailTV: 'When she was 11, she recorded a studio EP of six songs. She always wanted to do modeling or singing. It's sad that I'm using the past tense.

'She was always outstanding. She was a quiet girl and respectful to her parents.'

In 2015, a woman connected to R Kelly, was shopping in their boutique and overheard the teen singing.

'She said: 'I can introduce you to someone that can help further Joycelyn's career,' Timothy said.

The parents then met with Kelly's manager at the time, Kevin 'KG' Gyles.

'He said Sony would probably be interested as long as R Kelly was the executive producer on Joycelyn's songs. We didn't have a problem,' Timothy said.

Joycelyn and her mother flew to California in 2015 to meet with Kelly while Timothy remained in Georgia to look after their two younger daughters, Jailyn, who is now 18, and Jori, 11.

'His assistant made great car and hotel arrangements, everything was fine,' Timothy said.

'R Kelly talked about her stamina, her songs, what Joycelyn needed to work on to sell the package to Sony.

'Kelly was going to meet with me in Georgia but that never happened.'

After a few months, the parents concluded that the music deal was going nowhere and urged their daughter to focus on college.

In summer 2016, Joycelyn started a liberal arts degree at Georgia Gwinnett College. She shared a dorm room with roommate Tory, a nursing student. During the first six months, Timothy and Jonjelyn gave their daughter the space to enjoy college life.

'We wanted to allow our daughter to grow but called her on a regular basis,' Timothy said.

During the calls, she seemed enthusiastic about the campus and her studies. R Kelly's name never came up.

'She mentioned some people, a young guy she was dating. She was enjoying it,' her father said. 'I had no clue what was going on.'

Unbeknown to her parents, R Kelly was renting two properties in John's Creek, an affluent suburb outside of Atlanta and short drive from their daughter's campus.

Little by little, the parents' contact with their daughter dwindled.

'My wife called her roommate because Jocelyn wouldn't answer the phone,' Timothy said.

'The roommate said she was glad we called because a lot of things had been going on with Joycelyn. She hadn't been in school or in her dorm room.'

The parents were so concerned that they filed a campus police report.

'At that time she was on a tour bus with R Kelly,' Timothy said.

The parents drove up to the campus from their home in Henry County to confront their daughter.

They were devastated by Joycelyn's appearance – she weighed around 90lbs and was 'so frail', her father said.

'Joycelyn didn't look like Joycelyn. She looked like somebody who had been kept in prison for a long period of time.'

On the drive home, Timothy asked his daughter to pray with him.

He said: 'We believe in prayer because we've been brought up in that. I wanted her to open up to me. She prayed with me and that meant I had somewhere to go.

'I reached over to hug my daughter to comfort her. She froze up like somebody had been hitting her.

'I tried to keep my emotions in until we got to the house. We had an evangelist over to help us pray and try to do the intervention. I decided to record the whole thing because we were just concerned about her well-being.'

At one point during the fraught meeting, Timothy mentioned R Kelly's name.

'It seemed like a time-bomb went off in her head. She ran out the house, screaming like a mad woman and ran all the way down the street.

'I ran after her, telling her, you can tell Daddy what's going on. It was terrifying for her mother to see her daughter in this state.'

'Nobody wrote a book about this. I'm like, how did we get here? How do we fix this?

'I don't know what type of hold Mr Kelly has on her; brainwashing or Stockholm Syndrome. She's in a situation where she's torn down, dependent on him to give her everything she needs.'

Joycelyn never told her parents she was in love with R Kelly.

'She told us that she had some type of feelings for him,' her father said.

The atmosphere was so fraught that the parents decided to return their daughter to campus to get a good night's sleep.

'We wanted to pick it up the next day' the father said. 'I asked her roommate to call me if anything goes wrong between now and the morning.'

It would be the last time that they saw their daughter.

On the drive home, Timothy had a call from Tory. 'She said somebody came to pick Joycelyn up in a private car.

'She didn't come home for Christmas 2016. Joycelyn would never miss Christmas.'

Over the next year, the parents frantically tried to get in touch with their daughter.

'Last time I talked to Joycelyn was in December 2017, she was talking to my wife.

'I heard my daughter's voice for two seconds. I was getting ready to speak then the phone hung up.'

The Savages have had occasional glimmers of hope, like a gift which arrived ten days after Christmas 2017.

'The gift had no return address. It said, I love you Jori. I gave it to [my youngest] because I wanted her to know that her sister still loved her.'

Along with Christmases, Joycelyn missed the last moments with her beloved grandfather, Howard Savage, 75, who died in June 2017 after a battle with cancer.

Atiku Is Two Times Better Than Buhari - Obasanjo Insists

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo says President Muhammadu Buhari has shown “utter incompetence, condones evil and corruption” in the almost four years he has been in power.

The elder statesman issued the fresh criticism of the president in an interview with BBC Pidgin.

Obasanjo said he believes that Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), will perform “two times better” than Buhari.

He said anyone could steal the whole country and go scot free as long as he belongs to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

“Atiku is not a messiah; he is not a saint. Fortunately, he has not claimed to be. He has not claimed a fake sanctimoniousness. He came here. He acknowledged his past misdeeds and showed remorse,” Obasanjo said.

“I am a believer and a Christian as such and the teaching of God in my own religion is to forgive so that you can be forgiven. In fact, it goes further that if you do not forgive, you have no right to expect God’s forgiveness.

“I’m a sinner and I want God to forgive me of my sins. So, if anybody who has offended me comes to ask for forgiveness, I must forgive him. That’s number one.

“Number two, the choice that we have for the immediate in Nigerian situation today and the immediate is 2019 is between the candidate of party APC and PDP. The other minor parties will line behind or not sufficiently relevant.

“So, if APC puts down Buhari and PDP puts down Atiku, and from what I know of Buhari and what you know, what he has done and shown is utter incompetence, nepotism, condones evil and misconduct, including corruption.

“The weakness of the body, mind and the totality of Buhari, compared with Atiku, I believe Atiku will perform two times better than Buhari.

“Now, you can steal the whole of Nigeria and if you belong to APC, you are safe. Corruption is not only stealing money; nepotism is a form of corruption.”

In his state of the nation address on Sunday, Obasanjo accused the president of taking the country back to the Sani Abacha era.

On Tuesday, Buhari and Obasanjo met at the council of state meeting, where the former president said the opening prayer, and both men exchanged banters.
