Diamond Platnumz Wants Tanzanian Government To Make His Wedding Day A Public Holiday

Bongo flava music star, Diamond Platnumz has asked the Tanzanian government to declare a national holiday on the day he will marry his Kenyan girlfriend, Tanasha Donna Barbieri Oketch, a model and radio personality.

While speaking to a local newspaper, Diamond explained that he wants the Tanzanian government to consider his wish so that all his family members can attend the ceremony.
 
And to the question on why he pushed the wedding date from valentines, Diamond explained saying, “The reason why we had to change the date is because Tanasha’s mother will be working on Valentine’s Day. I do not want a small wedding, if it is possible I would like the government to consider it a public holiday,” he said.


In December last year, Diamond officially announced his intentions to marry his wife material sweetheart on valentines day however, he extended the dates because some super star celebrities like Rick Ross could not make it yet he wanted his party to be big…like Prince Harry’s and Meghan Markle.

The couple has not yet shared the exact date when the wedding will happen.

Speaker Dogara Officially Dumps APC For PDP

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has officially announced his defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He made the announcement during Tuesday’s plenary at the lower chamber of the National Assembly in Abuja.

Speaker Dogara informed his colleagues that he has joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He also announced the defection of two other APC members of the House to the opposition party.


They are Ahmed Yerima who represents Misau/Damdam constituency in Bauchi State and Edward Pwajok from Jos South-East constituency in Plateau State.

However, Dogara did not give reasons why he and the other lawmakers were leaving the party.

Zamfara Declares Three-Day Fast, Prayers To Tackle Bandit Attacks

The Zamfara Government has called on the people of the state to embark on three-day fast and intensive prayers to seek God’s intervention against the activities of bandits, kidnappers and other crimes.

The state’s Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Bello Dankande, made the call at a news conference on Tuesday in Gusau.

He said, “I am sure you all know the efforts the state government and the Federal Government are making to tackle the activities of criminal elements in the state.


“We believe that the fast and prayers will facilitate Allah’s intervention for both the safety and success of our security men and bring the ugly situation to an end.

 “These three days of fasting is voluntary to everybody because we are all either directly or indirectly affected by the situation.

“We are also soliciting for the intensive reading of the complete Holy Qur’an by Islamic scholars and their students to invoke Allah’s help.”

House Of Reps Approve N30k As New Minimum Wage

The House of Representatives has approved N30,000 as the new national minimum wage.

The approval was agreed upon during the plenary session on Tuesday.

The House also adopted the report of the ad hoc committee which was set up to look into the bill earlier presented by President Muhammadu Buhari.

On Monday, a public hearing was held on the minimum wage bill, during which stakeholders presented various positions on the adoption of a new minimum wage figure.


Two clauses, however, exist. First, it takes effect from the date the President gives assent. Secondly, based on an earlier clause, companies with less than 25 people are excluded from being covered by the provisions of the bill.

The bill has been referred to the necessary committees for action, as well as the Senate.

The House of Representatives, afterwards, adjourned plenary till February 19, 2019.

Kim Jong-un has demanded North Koreans hand over their poo to government officials amid fears the country faces a fertiliser crisis.

The desperate measure is said to have been imposed to provide farmers with cheap manure in a bid to kickstart the Hermit Kingdom’s declining economy.

Crackpot dictator Kim, 35, has ordered citizens to hand over 100kg of human waste every day, RadioFreeAsia reports.

And anyone who fails to meet the quota must instead provide 300kg of compost, it has been claimed.


The entire nation has been “mobilised” to produce manure as the “first major task of the year,” a government insider revealed.

A DPRK source reportedly said: “The authorities in each local region task factories, institutions and citizens groups with assigning production quotas to each individual.

"They are demanding that each person produce 100kg of human feces per day, or about 3 tons per month.

"But how on earth can it be possible for one person to make 3 tons of human feces and deliver it?"

The tubby tyrant’s demands have pushed some residents to seek out specialist suppliers of poo.

The independent MP has been jailed for three months after being found guilty of lying to police to avoid a speeding fine.

After many months of legal tussle, the Federal High Court Abuja on Friday 23rd January passed a judgement in favour of Runtown restraining his embattled record label, Eric Many from interfering in his affairs.

In the judgement passed by Justice O.A Musa, it was ordered that the restraining order placed on Runtown from performing be immediately suspended while Eric Many was also restrained from enforcing the suspended orders of the court.

Runtown and his label, Eric Many led by businessman, Okwudili Umenyiora have been in court since 2018 when his contract expired.

Maya will be buried in Munich and there will be a memorial service at London’s Brompton Oratory in March.
