Notorious Guys Invade House In Lagos, Rob Married Woman Of Her Panties

Two bus conductors, Peter Ayodele, 20; and Chibuzor David, 21, were arraigned in Lagos on Tuesday for allegedly stealing three underwear belonging to a housewife.

“The defendants unlawfully entered the complainant, one Mrs. Kehinde Oladimeji's house in the night while she was sleeping and stole three of her panties. But luck ran out against them as they were caught by a team of policemen on patrol.

“When they were asked of their mission at the time of the night and could not give a satisfactory answer, they were searched and three female underwear were found on them.

“Ayodele told the Police where they stole the underwear from and when the scene of the theft was visited by the Police, the complainant confirmed that the panties were her own," the prosecutor said.

Ayodele, a resident of Oshodi; and David, who lives in Ejigbo, Lagos, were charged with two counts of conspiracy and stealing before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court.

NAN reports that while Ayodele pleaded guilty to the offences, David pleaded not guilty.

The Magistrate, Mrs. M.O. Tanimola, ordered that Ayodele be remanded in Kirikiri Prisons pending review of the facts of the case and sentencing; while David was granted N80,000 bail with two sureties in like sum.

The case was adjourned until March 4, for continuation.

Stoning Of APC Leaders: Party Vows To Punish Gov. Amosun

The All Progressives Congress has vowed to punish the Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, for allegedly hiring thugs that attacked President Muhammadu Buhari and party leaders at Monday’s campaign rally of the party in Abeokuta.

Expressing regrets at the disruption of the campaign,
the APC National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, in a statement on Tuesday said that those responsible for the “premeditated attacks” would be dealt with. The party however said the sanction would be delayed till after the elections.

APC said, “The All Progressives Congress (APC) regrets Monday’s premeditated attacks sponsored by Governor Ibikunle Amosun on President Muhammadu Buhari and other senior party leaders at the venue of the presidential campaign rally in Ogun State.

“This is one act of indiscipline too many. The APC will not condone acts of indiscipline, indiscretion, and anti-party activities from any party member no matter how highly placed.

“The party will review this gross misconduct of deliberately positioning thugs to attack and embarrass the President and the party’s leadership. The party will take a decision on this matter immediately after the elections.

“It must be stated that party supremacy and discipline according to our constitution are not matters of choice but binding principles which must be adhered to by all party members.

“The APC is a party known for discipline, justice, fairness, and equality hence any plan to destroy what this party stands for would be rejected. No single person will be allowed to put his personal and selfish interests ahead of the wishes of the people of Ogun State and elsewhere.”

The APC said the decision of the National Working Committee on post-primaries remained unbendable.

“Post primaries, the decision of the National Working Committee to uphold the wishes of party members is unbendable. Therefore, whatever means being presently deployed by persons intending to undermine the wishes of the people for personal gains will not be tolerated.

“We urge our teeming party supporters and members not to be disturbed by Monday’s condemnable incident. We urge all to continue trooping out en masse for our remaining campaigns and vote massively for all and only APC candidates in the forthcoming general elections,” the statement added.

Top APC Leaders In Secret Meeting With Atiku?

Seeing that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is in obvious lead, some top All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders have started reaching out in secret meetings with Atiku Abubakar, the PDP Presidential candidate in the February 16 election with a view to working out “deals” with him.

As confessed by one of the APC chieftains, “Atiku has the momentum now and the wise thing to do politically is to consider options, after all in politics there is no permanent friend or permanent enemy.”

According to The Authority Newspaper, among those reaching out to Atiku are Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and the Minister of Internal Affairs, General Abdulraman Dambazau, a very reliable source close to the Atiku camp disclosed. APC chairman Adams Oshiomhole was also mentioned in the secret moves to support Atiku.

These three APC henchmen, as disclosed, believe that the best option left for them is to start early to work out a contingency plan which if concretised may see them work secretly to deliver Atiku come Saturday, February 16.

Also elements from Tinubu’s camp believed to represent the interests of the “Bourdillon strongman” are among those reaching out to Atiku as revealed. Though details of this group’s discussions with the PDP presidential candidate are scanty, it may also not be unconnected to negotiating an “exit deal” to protect Tinubu’s (business) interests in case Atiku wins.

In the last few weeks, the PDP presidential candidate Atiku has continued to surge far ahead Buhari in both internal and foreign polls. This obviously may have set panic measures in the camp of the ruling party.

Justin Bieber 'Seeks Treatment For Depression'

Justin Bieber has been seeking treatment for depression, it has been claimed. Multiple sources confirmed the news to People magazine, pointedly insisting the newlywed pop star's mental health issues were unrelated to his marriage to Hailey Baldwin.

Saying that the 24-year-old seemed 'down and tired' one source told the magazine: 'He has been struggling a bit.'

They continued: 'It has nothing to do with Hailey — he is very happy being married to her. It's just something else that he struggles with mentally.

'He has good help around him and is receiving some treatment. He seems confident he will feel better soon.'

Justin, who connected with now wife Hailey, 22, through Hillsong, has been famous since he was a young teenager.

He recently admitted that this sudden intense fame means he now finds it difficult to trust people.

Drug Lord 'El Chapo' Found Guilty In US

Mexican drug kingpin Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán has been found guilty on all 10 counts at his drug-trafficking trial at a federal court in New York.

Guzmán, 61, was convicted on numerous counts including the distribution of cocaine and heroin, illegal firearms possession and money laundering.

He has yet to be sentenced, but the verdict could mean life in jail.

Guzmán was arrested in January 2016 after escaping from a Mexican prison through a tunnel five months earlier.

He was extradited to the US in 2017.

The Mexican was accused of being behind the all-powerful Sinaloa drug cartel, which prosecutors say was the biggest supplier of drugs to the US.

Tuesday's unanimous verdict by a jury in Brooklyn, which was read out in a packed courtroom, followed an 11-week trial.

Guzmán, wearing a dark suit jacket and tie, showed no visible sign of emotion as the verdict was announced.

As he was escorted from the courtroom, Guzmán shook the hands of his lawyers before exchanging glances with his wife, Emma Coronel, a 29-year-old former beauty queen, and giving her the thumbs up.

Judge Brian Cogan, who presided over the trial, thanked the jurors for their dedication at what he described as a complex trial, saying it was "remarkable and it made me very proud to be an American".

Guzmán's lawyers said they planned to launch an appeal.

For allegedly stealing a neighbour’s chewing gum, a girl was beaten and injured with a red-hot knife by her 25-year-old aunt Loveth Ozoihu.

Ozoihu, who was arraigned in an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, however, denied the offence.

The defendant, who is facing a charge of assault, occasioning harm, was granted a bail sum of N200, 000 by the Chief Magistrate, Mrs Olufunke Sule-Amzat.

Sule-Amzat ordered the defendant to provide two responsible sureties as part of the bail conditions.

She said that the sureties must be gainfully employed and show evidence of tax payments to the Lagos State Government; and adjourned the case until March 7, for trial.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Ozoihu, a resident of Josiah Aina Street, Alakuko, a suburb of Lagos State, reportedly beat her 7-year-old niece to a pulp, then burnt her with a red-hot knife from a cooking gas fire.

21 Savage Released From Custody On Bond

21 Savage, the British-born rapper who was arrested by immigration officials on Super Bowl Sunday, was released on bond Tuesday afternoon after spending nine days in ICE custody, according to a statement from his attorney's office.

The rapper, known legally as She-yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, entered the United States illegally in 2005 and stayed in the country after his nonimmigrant visa expired a year later, according to ICE officials. He was convicted of federal drug charges in 2014, which ICE cited as part of his arrest.

On Tuesday afternoon, 21 Savage's legal team said in a statement that the rapper had been released from custody on bail and was being placed into expedited deportation proceedings. Unauthorized immigrants are only eligible for release on bond if they're determined not to be a flight risk or not a danger to their community.

"He will not forget this ordeal or any of the other fathers, sons, family members, and faceless people, he was locked up with or that remain unjustly incarcerated across the country," his attorneys, Charles Kuck, Dina Laporte and Alex Spiro, wrote in a Facebook post published Tuesday.  "And he asks for your hearts and minds to be with them."

Kuck Baxter Immigration, the law office representing 21 Savage, confirmed the Facebook post and referred questions to FYI Brand Group, who did not immediately return an email requesting comment.
