President Muhammadu Buhari, while speaking at an emergency caucus meeting of the All Progressives Congress in Abuja on Monday morning, warned that anyone who foments trouble, especially by carrying ballot boxes, would be doing so at the “expense of his life”.

Buhari made the statement after reprimanding the Independent National Electoral Commission for postponing the general elections from February 16 to 23.

The president repeated that he gave INEC all necessary support to ensure a smooth exercise, but the electoral body still displayed “incompetence” and failed to let Nigerians go to the poll as originally scheduled.

Buhari also threatened consequences against INEC chairman Mahmood Yakubu, agreeing with the submission of Adams Oshiomhole that the electoral chief had compromised and was in purported collusion with the opposition PDP.

The national caucus meeting, which was initially televised for about 30 minutes, was cut off live broadcast after the president’s remarks. Journalists were also asked to leave the venue to allow for a closed-door session.

Election Postponement: Buhari, Osinbajo, Tinubu, Others Attend APC Caucus Meeting

President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and 11 governors are currently attending the national caucus meeting of the All Progressives Congress(APC).

A national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu, is also at the meeting.The party is meeting following Saturday’s postponement of the general elections.

The chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, is launching scathing attacks on the Independent National Election for the shift.

Mr Oshiomhole says the commission’s chairman is incompetent. He also accused the commission of hinting the opposition PDP of plans to postpone the polls, saying he could swear with the Koran.


The governors in attendance are governors of Zamfara, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti, Jigawa, Borno, Bauchi, Kebbi, Niger, Lagos and Kaduna state.

Also in attendance are the Senate leader, Ahmed Lawan, senators, Secretary to the Government of the Federation(SGF), Boss Mustapha, ministers, among others.

Four Arrested In Connection With The Killing Of PDP Ward Leader, Three Others

Four suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing of the Ward Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Bendeghe Ekiem community, Etung Local Government Area of Cross River State, Mr Ayuk Ogar.

He was said to have been shot dead along with three other party supporters.

It was learnt that Orgar and the others were killed in Bendeghe on Saturday during a gun duel between supporters of the PDP and the All Progressives Congress.


The clash occurred shortly after leaders of both parties in the area signed a peace pact to ensure violence-free elections.

It was gathered that several others sustained injuries during the clash and were receiving treatment at the Ikom General Hospital.

Kogi Deputy Governor Cries Out As His Security Details Are Withdrawn

Deputy governor of Kogi State, Simon Achuba, has raised the alarm over threat to his life, as his security details were withdrawn without any cogent reason.He appealed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to wade into the matter.

The governor, Yahaya Bello, has been at loggerheads with his deputy who emerged after the death of Abubakar Audu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2015 election.The conflict led to the severance of some of Achuba’s benefits.

Speaking during a press conference at his official residence in Lokoja yesterday, the deputy governor alleged that his security details were summoned to Government House for briefing, just as he was about to travel to his hometown for the botched election.


According to him, while he tried to reach them, the ADC to the governor also summoned his own ADC and his police orderly.Having waited in vain for them to return, he reportedly put a call through, only to discover that their lines were not reachable.

It was later gathered that they were detained and being interrogated on some gun-running charges, for which they were asked to make statements at the officer-in-charge, Special Anti-Robbery Squad (OC SARS) office in Government House.He explained that since that Friday, he had not seen them.

Achuba added that the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Busari, whom he called to explain what was going on, promised to attend to the matter. However, the CP affirmed that Achuba contacted him and that he promised to look into the matter. “I will contact the ADC to the governor on why the deputy governor’s details were withdrawn.

“There’s no problem. He (Achuba) had requested two extra policemen prior to the withdrawal of his details. I don’t know if those two were given to him before the withdrawal of his details.“We post policemen to Government House, but I think the ADC to the governor is the person in charge of security at the Government House. He posts them.“We will send two policemen there pending when the issue will be resolved,” he said.

Saudi Arabia Denies Crown Prince Seeks To Buy Man. U

Saudi Arabia’s crown prince is not seeking to buy Premier League football club Manchester United, the kingdom’s media minister said on Monday, denying reports and adding that there had only been a meeting with the Saudi wealth fund regarding sponsorship.

Reports that Mohammed Bin Salman intends to buy the club are “completely false”, the minister, Turki al-Shabanah, wrote on social network Twitter.

He was reacting to reports that the crown prince had sought to tempt the Glazer family to cede control of the club.


“Manchester United held a meeting with PIF Saudi to discuss (a) sponsorship opportunity,” Shabanah said, adding that no deal materialised.

On Sunday, the British newspaper, the Sun, said the crown prince was in a £3.8-billion ($4.9-billion) takeover bid for one of football’s most popular clubs.

The paper said a bid was first submitted in October but the fallout from the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the kingdom’s embassy in Istanbul put the “skids” on a potential offer.

Pray Or Elections May Not Hold, CAN Warns Nigerians

The Christian Association of Nigeria has called on Nigerians to pray this week if they want the general elections to hold.

President of the association, Rev Samson Ayokunle, made the call during a service at the Trinity Baptist Church, Ajobo, Ibadan, Oyo State capital, on Sunday.

He said, “About what is happening in the country, I want you to pray very well this week. If it’s about the things we see in the spirit, it is not sure that elections will hold at all. We won’t want elections to hold like they didn’t hold; if that should happen, it would cause trouble or even lead to war.


“That is why we have asked you to pray this week. This is a week for prayers. Pray that bad people will not be involved in Nigeria’s affairs. About the elections, we will pray that they will not result in war or bring agony. People who think they are powerful and want to cause problems for us, God Himself will give them problems and bind them. God will take power from them.

“Please, pray very well this week so that the elections might be able to hold on February 23 as the INEC has said. The postponement, to us, is a national embarrassment.”

Kano Court Grants Deji Adeyanju Bail

Deji Adeyanju, convener of Concerned Nigerians, has been released on bail by a Kano State Magistrate Court.

Adeyanju has been remanded in a Kano prison after he was rearrested and charged for culpable homicide by the Nigeria Police Force, over a case said to have been decided upon by the Kano State High Court in 2009.

Adeyanju was granted bail in the sum of N500,000 and two sureties. The court also ordered him to deposit his international passport.

Uche Jumbo Is Out Of Nigeria’s Only 4-Girl Group

Nigeria’s only 4-girl group consists of Uche Jombo, Omoni Oboli, Chioma Akpotha and ufuoma mcdermott. They were all colleagues until one day they rolled out photos announcing them as Nigeria’s only 4-girl group! They became so close that they acted in movies together, go on vacations together and practically couldn’t have a week go by without coming together.

So many of their colleagues were happy for them, that they found EACH OTHER, while some became envious, and the ‘sisters’ even sometimes take a swipe at them saying they are unbreakable.

Trouble however began when Uche collaborated with Ini Edo to drop a movie, her latest film, and Omoni Oboli was MISSING FROM THE PREMIERE. What? How??


Then Nigerians started digging… and before they could dig afar, Ini Edo helped out by calling out Omoni saying she is indeed a ‘good’ friend for snubbing Uche’s movie premiere.

Long story cut short, Omoni hasn’t been seen with Uche since then and Uche hasn’t been seen with the girl-group either.

So over the weekend, Omoni and Chioma went to Ufuoma who has been under the weather. Ufuoma brought the gist on instagram, with Uche Jombo clearly missing from the photo, but no words from the girls, which shows she is not being missing.

Many are now concluding the one time bubbling 4-girl group without mincing words can now be addressed as a 3-girl group as Uche Jombo as bowed out.

And hopefully the group won’t turn two, and then one…. Which eventually makes it all man for himself! Below is what Ufuoma wrote about her friends viist…

Election Postponement: NANS Suspends Planned Nationwide Protest

The National Association of Nigerian Students has suspended its proposed nationwide protest over the postponement of the Presidential and National Assembly elections, scheduled for today.

The spokesperson of the association, Azeez Adeyemi disclosed this while speaking with newsmen in Abeokuta this morning.

NANS had threatened to stage a nationwide protest today against the postponement of the elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

He cited an alleged plan by unnamed politicians to hijack the protest as the reason for “standing-down” the protest

Lobatan! I Said I Was Richer Than Osun State -Tinubu

All Progressives Congress chieftain, Bola Tinubu, has again stated that he is richer than Osun State and that he indeed said he was richer than Osun State during the run-up to the Osun State governorship election last year.

This comes months after Tinubu’s media team had claimed the APC chieftain was quoted out of context, Punch reports.

Tinubu had during the countdown to the Osun governorship election last September, paid a visit to the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, where he boasted that he was richer than Osun State.


While addressing party faithful ahead of the postponed Presidential and National Assembly elections in Lagos last Thursday, the former governor of Lagos State said he indeed made the statement but he did not know he was being recorded.

The APC chieftain also boasted that President Muhammadu Buhari did not possess the kind of money he can steal, adding that he did not even need to go to the Government Secretariat, Alausa, before he could get money.

He said, “They insulted me and said I used my mouth to speak anyhow. However, that rough-
handedness paid off in Osun. They claimed that we brought candidates from Lagos to become governors in Osun; people like (Rauf) Aregbesola and (Gboyega) Oyetola.

“If we train your children, and they become experts in their fields, won’t we ask them to come home to make things better? How much is your money that I’ll embezzle? You can’t match my pocket. I told them so, and their traditional rulers were seated.

“They were even recording the incident and published it. Let me not say something like that again today. However, Buhari doesn’t have the kind of money I can steal neither does he have the money I can collect. He doesn’t even have the money for Lagos votes. So, whatever I promise, it’s for real and is coming from my pocket. It’s not until I go to Alausa before I get money to give you.”

Addressing APC supporters on the need to deliver votes, Tinubu said handsome cash rewards await those who can deliver votes for the party.

He said he would not make mistakes of the past where people would collect money in advance and not deliver on election day.

Tinubu added, “Those of you that say you come to Bourdillon for mobilisation, it is mobilisation that we are doing here or don’t you understand? Definitely, if you know people in your neighbourhood, our members, how we used to do.

“They would surround me like the way ants surround sugar but they duped me; calling for mobilisation funds as if they are not all from the same neighbourhood.

“For this one, even if your footwear is worn-out, as long as you can deliver on votes, I guarantee that I’ll pay you money that will surprise you. May we not lack!

“Definitely, if you know people in your neighbourhood, who are our members, you should be able to call them out. If you’re a registered member, go out and vote. Vote and let it be much, and when I see the result, that’s when I’ll bring out money that is worthwhile for you.”

WWE: The Undertaker Retires From Wrestling

The Undertaker has reportedly finally retired as a wrestler. The WWE legend sent wrestling fans into meltdown when it was confirmed he would be appearing at the Starrcast II convention.

The booking would be the 53-year-old's first non-WWE event in decades.

It is unclear in what capacity he would be appearing but Wrestling Observer Newsletter editor Dave Meltzer suggests taking part in any match is unlikely.

And he believes it may well be the case that the Dead Man doesn't wrestle ever again.
That could well put to bed speculation that the Undertaker will make a shock return at WrestleMania 35.


Meltzer said: "At least as of a week ago he was not doing either [WrestleMania or Saudi Arabia] and obviously [WWE] can panic and the Saudi Arabia show if the Prince wants him they can offer him so much money to do it, but as of a week ago he was not on either show.

Photo: Woman Arrested For Defrauding Christian Faith-Based Organisation Of N100m

The Ogun State Police command has arrested a woman for allegedly defrauding a Christian faith-based organisation to the sum of N100m.

The suspect, 39-year-old Iwuagwu Onyinyechi was arrested under the pretence of assisting the organisation to raise fund for its charity programme

While parading the suspect on Sunday, Police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi told newsmen that the lady was arrested after a petition written by a Lagos-based lawyer of the organisation, Godswill Ojakovo, to the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, in which he complained that his client was defrauded by the suspect through an act of forgery.


According to Oyeyemi, “the suspect claimed to have got a Local Purchase Order (LPO) from a property company and appealed to the organisation to help fund the LPO, consequent upon which a sum of N33.118m was transferred into to her bank account.

“While the organisation was awaiting the repayment of the loan, the suspect came with another two LPOs she claimed to have got from a Catholic Hospital, Iju and a private school in Ikorodu, Lagos State, upon which another sum of N77m was given to her, after convincing the organisation with relevant documents and proofs to back her claims.

“But as soon as the suspect got the last payment in September 2018, she was nowhere to be found, prompting the organisation to make inquiries about the LPOs she submitted before they discovered it was all forged.

“Upon the petition, the Commissioner of Police Ogun State, Ahmed Iliyasu, directed his monitoring team to go after the suspect and bring her to book. The team technically tracked the suspect and got her arrested on January 21, 2019.

“On interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime by admitting that the LPOs presented by her were forged and some of the companies she claimed to be the owners of the LPOs, were made up by her.

“Meanwhile, the CP has directed the monitoring team to arraign the suspect in court as soon as the investigations are concluded,” DSP Oyeyemi stated.

A lady has raised alarm and warned other girls not to fall victim after her good friend took her to Dubai for pros-titution. Lovelyn Bianca revealed how she was tricked to Dubai by a fellow Nigerian lady who was once her good friend.

She claimed her friend, Precious Chinwe Orji from Uturu Onuaku in Abia state, takes desperate girls to Dubai for pros-titution (including her) and makes them swear an oath with a native doctor not to run or reveal their secret.

She alleged that the girls take the oath with promise to pay her N3 million in the course of doing pros-titution in the UAE city.

Bianca who admitted to doing pros-titution in Dubai and taking the oath, also revealed that she has paid Precious the N3 million as agreed. She said she paid her 13,000 dirham twice and both of them are now free from each other.

Doyin Okupe Blows Hot! Exposes How Lai Mohammed Allegedly Betrayed Saraki

The Special Adviser (Media) to the Director-General of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council, Dr. Doyin Okupe, has revealed how his principal, who is also the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, contributed the highest donation towards the realisation of President Muhammadu Buhari’s ambition in 2015.

Okupe, a former presidential spokesperson, made the revelation in a statement on Sunday, titled, “How Lai Mohammed betrayed Saraki”. Full statement below…


“Prior to the establishment of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s government, certain agreements were reached with principal stakeholders.

“Saraki was among the major stakeholders, being the single individual that raised the highest donation to the Buhari/All Progressives Congress campaign, far in excess of (what) Asiwaju (Bola) Tinubu or (Rotimi) Amaechi or anyone for that matter, (donated).

“Saraki was promised the post of Senate President and two ministerial slots.

“After May 29, 2015, President Muhammadu Buhari called Saraki and apologised that he could only have one ministerial slot instead of the two previously agreed.

“Saraki, most reluctantly, but in deference to the President, conceded.

“Shortly afterwards, the President requested for another political favour  from Saraki. This time, he wanted Saraki’s consent to use the remaining one ministerial slot allocated to him (Saraki) to appoint Lai Mohammed as minister.

“This was a gruesome blow to Saraki who questioned why the President could not ask Asiwaju (Tinubu) to accommodate Lai Mohammed in his own slot.

“The President confirmed to Saraki that Asiwaju had blatantly refused to do so. A thoroughly perplexed Saraki could only plead with the president to allow him go back home in Kwara State and find the best way to break this heart-shattering news to members of his political family.

“It was an unimaginable scenario. It took more than sagacity and political dexterity for the request of the President to be accepted but for the grace and very long lasting bonded relationship for the Saraki camp not to break up for this singular development.

 “Lai Mohammed was summoned by the elders of the group, including Alhaji Kawu Baraje and former Governor Shaba Lafiaji and others.

“Lai Mohammed wept profusely, severally rolling on bare floor and swearing on every sacred institution and object of faith.

“The elders told him point blank that they did not trust him but that they were doing this for God, the President and interest of their leader, Bukola Saraki.

“Today, Lai Mohammed is the leader of a movement planning to unseat Saraki and destroy him politically.”

Photos: Iraq Welcomes First Set Of Septuplets [Seven Babies] From 25-Year Old Lady

A new mother delivered a remarkable seven babies in a single natural birth with all the children reportedly in perfect condition and doing well.

The startling birth occurred at a hospital in the Diyali Province of eastern Iraq in what is believed to be the first septuplet delivery in the country.

Firas Al Izzawi, a spokesman for the local health department, said in a statement that the 25-year-old mother, who has not been named, had a natural birth and was healthy after the procedure.

The seven newborns, six girls and one boy, are said to be in good health after receiving medical check-ups and images show four of the tiny babies lying in a bed together.

Other images show two of the tots lying together shortly after the birth which it is believed is the first case of septuplets being born in Iraq.

Local media has since published images of the infants, who are being celebrated nationwide.
