PDP’s Atiku Speaks On Election Results

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has said that with the results collated so far, he is sure of winning the presidential election.

Mr Abubakar stated this on Sunday morning in a statement by his campaign spokesperson, Phrank Shaibu.

“With strong shares of vote in SS, SE as well as an increased share in SW and NC we are very pleased with the progress the PDP has made. We look forward to sharing some exciting news in other parts of the country very soon, which will confound all the armchair pundits,” Mr Shaibu said.

Atiku in the statement said “I would like to sincerely thank the millions of people who, despite having to bear the additional burden of a postponed election, came out yesterday to vote for me and the other PDP candidates standing in this election.”

The statement said with the PDP’s high tech, cloud-based SVC system – which is able to collate in real-time the results from the 176,000 voting points across the nation – the Presidential candidate could boldly assure his supporters that victory was at hand.

“With strong shares of vote in SS, SE as well as an increased share in SW and NC we are very pleased with the progress the PDP has made. We look forward to sharing some exciting news in other parts of the country very soon, which will confound all the armchair pundits.

The people of Nigeria can take solace that very soon the living Nightmare of the last four years will come to an end so that together we will get Nigeria working again.”

The PDP Presidential candidate urged Nigerians on the need to maximise their eternal vigilance in the next 48 hours to prevent the majority votes recorded at the polling units being disrupted by force by the APC at the collation centres.

“I am familiar with how brazen and the complete lack of shame the APC can exhibit, but even I was shocked to witness just how low they went last night by accusing the PDP of ‘recruiting armed thugs’ to do just that. Why would we want to do that when we are winning?”

“Furthermore I would like to say how proud I was of PDP supporters who conducted themselves so peacefully despite the significant provocations and threats of violence, removal and burning of ballot boxes and the likes.”

The statement also thanked the security forces and election officials who in the main conducted their duties with exemplary professionalism but tasked General Buhari on his promise of a free and fair election.

“General Buhari you have promised our people and the world that you would conduct ‘free, fair and credible elections’ so please call off the wilder elements within your party and deliver on your promise.”

Liz Anjorin Doesn’t Have Dirty Secrets Of Goldmynetv’s Chairman – Associate

Actress, Liz Anjorin, recently threatened to reveal dirty secrets between her and the Chairman of GoldmyneTV, Otunba Sesan Rufai, after the online platform reported a story about her donation to Baba Suwe that she didn’t like.

In a post on Instagram, Anjorin wrote, “I will put an end to this s**t now and forever. Watch out for the unspeakable and dirty story between us.”

However, when Sunday Scoop reached out to Rufai, he said the issue was too irrelevant for him to pay attention to.

But a close associate of Rufai told Sunday Scoop that Liz Anjorin only wanted attention. The source said, “We only reposted what she shared on social media and she felt offended. She wanted us to seek her permission before sharing the post on our social media platform. Later, our chairman instructed us to bring the post down.”

The associate also challenged her to go public with the dirty things she claimed to have about his boss.
He said, “People have been calling the chairman that Anjorin threatened to expose him. She can go ahead; he doesn’t have any skeleton in his cupboard. When the chairman saw her post, he was not disturbed at all. She doesn’t have anything on him or the company; she was just ranting to get the sympathy of the public. The chairman didn’t react to her post because it is not important to him. I am sure that if she greets him tomorrow at a social gathering, he will reply her.”

Explaining what went wrong, the source said, “A young woman attacked her on social media that she was living large when another actor, Baba Suwe, needed help. She then replied that nobody helped when her mother died of stroke. That was what we reposted on our Instagram platform. But despite bringing down the story, she still went on to insult the chairman.”

Olajumoke Orisaguna Speaks On Husband’s Accusations

Bread seller turned model, Olajumoke Orisaguna was in the news few days ago when her husband spoke about how she has been disrespecting him and more. Olajumoke in a chat with Sunday Scoop  denied the allegations saying she has handed over her husband, Sunday Orisaguna to God.

Tho, not wanting to reveal what happened between them, Jumoke was forced to say Sunday has been jobless and she has been the one taking care of him and the home! Aww.

“Whatever is going on is known to God. We are still together. He has never discussed all what he has been saying outside with me, so I don’t understand what he is driving at because we sleep in the same house. Well, he can continue saying whatever pleases him but I will not say anything bad about him. There is nobody I will discuss his matter with; I just leave him to God. God will judge between us,” she said.

Asked if Sunday was displeased because she no longer gave him money, Olajumoke said, “Now you understand what I have been saying. I do not need to break it down beyond that; you already know what I mean. I will not say anything bad about him. I have handed him to God.”

Refusing to categorically reveal her future plans as regards building a house, the former bread seller said, “There is nobody that would pray to live in a rented apartment for five years, and at the end of that time, not have something tangible to call his or her own. However, it is not everything one plans to do that is made public. One has to keep certain things within one as an elder. We all know where the shoe pinches.”

Reacting to the claims that things started going downhill for her after she left her former manager, Azuka Ogujuiba, Olajumoke said, “Azuka was one of the people that assisted me at the inception of my career. She is usually busy and that is why I decided to change my manager. I still communicate regularly with Azuka and we have even spoken today (Thursday). She and TY Bello are like sisters to me.”

Olajumoke said she hadn’t become a spendthrift since she came to the limelight. “I have always been a good manager. Even when I was working in the bakery, I knew how to manage the resources available to me. Can you imagine a man not working for two years and being fed by a woman?”

Female Corper Hides In The Bush, Cries As Gunmen Storm Their Polling Unit (Photos)

Election is war in Nigeria, an unfortunate reality. What continues to baffle many sane minds is why on earth will people who want to serve decide to kill fellow Nigerians just to get to the office. This is just not right.

Here's the heartbreaking moment a member of the NYSC working for INEC in Rivers State burst into tears, crying in fear for her life after gunmen with fully automatic assault machine guns stormed the pulling unit where she was posted to.

The political thugs shot indiscriminately to scare people in order to carry out their evil act. How sad!

Buhari To APC: We Have Not Won or Lost, Stay Vigilant

President Muhammadu Buhari has released a statement through his campaign spokesman, Festus Keyamo alleging that the opposition are planning something untoward before the announcement of official results by INEC, urging his party leaders and supporters to be vigilant.

The statement, which some say is controversial, reads;

'It has come to our knowledge from insiders within the PDP Campaign Council who are making last-minute efforts to switch allegiance to President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress that the PDP is currently recruiting armed thugs and miscreants nationwide to attack ward and local government collation centres this evening till the wee hours of tomorrow morning.

The purpose is to disrupt the collation process of the elections nationwide in order to cause crises and make this election inclusive. As we know, most of these collation centres are usually in schools or other places that are poorly protected.

This is therefore a clarion call to all law enforcement agencies to mobilise extra armed security to protect all collation centres nationwide. We also appeal to Nigerians of goodwill and our supporters to provide standby electricity this night at these collation centres.

We also call on all our party agents, supporters and patriotic Nigerians to stick with these election results from the various units up to the State Collation Centres. There is no cause for any political party at this stage to jubilate or be dejected. Nothing has been won and nothing has been lost. Official results have not been declared. Hence we call for eternal vigilance on the part of our agents and supporters.

We repeat: NOBODY SHOULD JUBILATE NOW AND ABANDON HIS/HER DUTIES. LET US KEEP OUR FEET FIRMLY ON THE GROUND AND STICK WITH OUR ASSIGNED ROLE(S) UNTIL FINAL RESULTS ARE DECLARED BY INEC.'

Election Saga: DSS Dismisses Officer For Taking Bribe

The Department of State Services has dismissed one of its staff, Jaja Otelemaba, for taking bribe from motorists while on election duty in Ekiti State. Mr Peter Afunanya, PRO of the Service, in a statement on Saturday in Abuja, said the officer was seen on social media where he was negotiating with a motorist for financial patronage.

“The fact is that when the news broke, the Service initiated a
line of investigative actions. These include the search and identification of the said officer; his withdrawal from the duty post and issuance of a memo as applicable to his cadre and rank,” he said.

He said that Otelemaba was tried in an orderly room and summarily dismissed in line with the Service’s disciplinary procedures.

The spokesman said that the dismissal was in accordance with the Director General of the Service’s commitment to promote discipline in the Service.

He said that his stance on issues concerning discipline has continued to prove his intolerance for misconduct and discreditable behaviour.

“The Service reaffirms its commitment to professionalism, excellence and the rule of law. The DSS, as usual, rededicates itself to the security of the ongoing electoral exercise and reassures the nation of its sustained transparency and accountability in dealing with citizens.”

How Weapons-Wielding Thugs Hurt Lagos Over Election

In a desperate bid to win at all cost, politicians and their thugs are hurting Lagos badly. Presidential and National Assembly elections at Okota, Oshodi/Isolo Local Government Area of Lagos were disrupted by weapons-wielding political thugs.

Eye witnesses said the hoodlums came in about 10 motorcycles and forcefully dispersed voters, INEC officials and security operatives with weapons.

Voters fled for their lives as the hoodlums unleashed mayhem on the area.

It was gathered that elections did not hold in some polling units as a result of the incident. Also, late arrival of INEC workers at various polling units across Oshodi Isolo and Alimosho Local Government Areas of Lagos delayed the commencement of the polls.

Most of the polling units visited by The Punch in the areas had one complaint or the other regarding the conduct of the election.

The monitoring, which started from the Oshodi Isolo LGA Secretariat showed late departure of INEC ad hoc workers and electoral materials to different polling units.

An INEC official on duty at the secretariat, who declined to reveal his identity, said some ad hoc workers did not turn up, necessitating emergency deployment of new set of workers to make up for the shortfall.

In Bolade/Sopeju, Sogunle/Alasia, Ewuntun Mofoluku areas and Adebimpe Avenue, Alimosho, voting was delayed for a minimum of two hours even though there was high turnout of voters.

Voters, while expressing their anger at the late commencement of the polls, said they got to the polling units as early as 7am.

R Kelly's Bail Set At $1 Million

R Kelly 's bail has been set at $1 million following his arrest on sex abuse charges.

The singer, real name Robert Kelly, 52, appeared in court in Chicago today after being held by police overnight.

During the brief hearing, Judge John Fitzgerald Lyke, Jr. set the Ignition star's bail at $1 million.

It was the same judge who oversaw Jussie Smollett's bond hearing earlier this week when the actor - accused of filing a false police report - was released on £76,693 bail.

He faced the court wearing a black hoodie and kept his hands behind his back throughout the hearing.

The singer is described as showing "very little emotion" and kept his eyes fixed on the floor for the majority of his time in court.

The judge described the allegations against Kelly as "disturbing" and ordered him not to have contact with anyone under the age of 18.

Kelly's attorney reportedly argued that the star is currently broke due to a number of financial setbacks.

Attorney Steven Greenberg is said to have told the judge Kelly has a child support judgement against him that he's unable to pay and he's not making any money.

Greenberg claimed Kelly's earning very little from his music and is not touring.

He also said his client was not a flight risk, telling the judge: "Contrary to the song, Mr Kelly doesn't like to fly."

He was referring to Kelly's huge hit single I Believe I Can Fly.

The entertainer faces a maximum sentence of 70 years in prison if convicted.

Buhari Defeats Atiku In His Polling Unit... Atiku's Supporters Say It's A Good Result

President Muhammadu Buhari has defeated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar at his polling unit in Adamawa state.

But jubilation broke out following the announcement that Buhari scored 186 votes while Atiku got 167 votes.

Atiku’s loyalists say a difference of just 19 votes is good, because the unit has been historically won by Buhari, who has stood in every presidential election since 2003.

INEC Cancels Elections In Parts Of Rivers State

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it has cancelled elections in Bonny and Akuku-Toru local government areas of Rivers State after voting failed to take off in the areas on Saturday.

Soldiers reportedly shot and killed people in some areas.

The commission’s spokesperson in Rivers State, Edwin Enabor, said elections in the areas would now hold on another date to be set by the commission.

“In Bonny, there was no election at all,” said Mr Enabor, adding that: “the exercise there has been postponed. It will hold on another day.”

A resident, Opuade Abbey, said the area had been taken over by armed security operatives including soldiers.

Elsewhere, in Okrika Local Government Area, Mr Enabor said sensitive materials for one ward was diverted.

“Therefore voting did not hold in the affected registration area (ward). The position of the commission is that election will be conducted separately for that registration area later.”
