Well, according to Oyoinsight.com, Akala has dumped his party despite he is the party’s Governorship candidate in the March 9th election. The website reports that, Akala made a u-turn yesterday after visiting Tinubu a second time, with his wife and son – Lamiju Akala who was stripped off his Local Government chairman postion when he decamped last month. Hopefully, he will get the position back now if his father has truly decamped.
Recall, APC Chieftain, Bola Tinubu is trying all his best to get Oyo State first seat for APC after Atiku shockingly won the Presidential election in the state. Fingers crossed!

Former Labour peer Lord Nazir Ahmed has been charged with two attempted r-pes and one indecent assault.
He is alleged to have committed the offences when he was a teenager in Rotherham in the 1970s. He is one of three men facing linked criminal charges.
Lord Ahmed, 61, joined the Labour party at 18 and became Rotherham’s first Asian councillor and youngest magistrate.
Tony Blair appointed the father of three as a peer in 1998, making him one of the first Muslims to enter the Lords. He left Labour in 2013 but remains a peer with no party affiliation.
Lord Ahmed is alleged to have indecently assaulted the boy in 1971-72, when he was 14 or 15, The Times reported.
He is also accused of two attempted r-pes in 1973-74 aged 16 or 17.
Two others are accused in connection with the assaults. Mohamed Farooq, 68, faces four charges of indecent assault and Mohammed Tariq, 63, two indecent assault charges.
They are due before Sheffield magistrates on March 19.
The U.S. government is offering $1 million for help tracking down the son of the late terrorist leader Osama bin Laden.
A State Department notice Thursday says the reward will be paid for help locating Hamza bin Laden in any country as part its 'rewards for justice' program.
The announcement says bin Laden's son has emerged as a key leader of the al-Qaeda terrorist group who is growing in prominence. His father was killed in a U.S. military raid in Pakistan in May 2011.
'Hamza bin Laden is the son of deceased former AQ leader Osama bin Laden and is emerging as a leader in the AQ franchise,' a State Department statement said, referring to Al-Qaeda.
Hamza bin Laden, who is about 30, was named a 'specially designated global terrorist' in January 2017.
The junior bin Laden has released audio and video messages on the internet calling for attacks against the West and has threatened revenge for his father's 2011 killing by U.S. forces, the department said in a statement.
Osama bin Laden was killed in a covert operation carried out in Abbottabad, Pakistan at a compound where the al-Qaeda leader was holed up.
In addition, Hamza allegedly married the daughter of Mohammed Atta, the 'lead hijacker and a mastermind' of the 9/11 attacks.
Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility for the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the U.S. and other notorious actions.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha, says the Federal Government will implement the New Minimum Wage of N30,000.
Addressing reporters on Thursday in Abuja, he stated that the government was committed to the implementation, despite the increase from N27,000 to N30,000 by the House of Reps.
“Look at where we took it from; from N18,000 as a minimum wage,”
Mr Mustapha said. “What is before the House of Representatives is N30,000, although our recommendation is N27,000. Whatever comes out of it, I can tell you that this President has sufficient capital in terms of his integrity to own up whatever the Nigerian people decide,” he assured the people.
The SGF further disclosed that the government has made adequate arrangement in the 2019 Appropriation Bill, to cater for the new wage.
He explained that the importance of this was to give workers across the country a reasonable wage, adding that President Muhammadu Buhari does not take the welfare of workers for granted.
Mr Mustapha said, “We have made adequate provision in the 2019 budget; we mean well for the good workers of Nigeria."

“I never at any point said that I announced the result of the Anambra South senatorial election under duress nor in the mode that is implied by the Punch Newspaper captioned as per above. No gun or knife was pointed at me the material time of the election result announcement”.
The Returning Officer said that any person or group, that feels aggrieved about the election should approach the election tribunal as the constitutionally recognized means for any aggrieved party.
Emphasizing on what could be the basis for the report in the Punch Newspaper, he said, “My letter of 25th February 2019, which was a response to a letter dated 23rd February 2019, written by Chief Sir Chris Uba, the PDP candidate is hereby referred to.

APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, while addressing journalists at the party's national secretariat in Abuja on Thursday, stated that Atiku Abubakar was destined never to be president. He further accused the PDP Presidential candidate of having poor understanding of the voting pattern of the regions, added that Senator Akpabio was rigged out in the Senatorial election which took place in Akwa Ibom State.
Oshiomhole, who accused Atiku of being desperate, said; "Leadership is about character. Atiku's desperation is so obvious, so desperate that in 2003, he challenged his own boss president Olusegun Obasanjo not to do a second term. And they fought Unclad in Wuse market."

The UN and Zimbabwean authorities on Thursday launched an urgent appeal for $234 million for more than five million people in urgent need of food due to a drought and a weak economy.
The appeal came as UN Humanitarian Affairs chief Mark Lowcock visited the country this week to get a firsthand account of the situation.
The funds are to “provide urgent food, health, water, sanitation, hygiene and protection support for 2.2 million people of the 5.3 million people in need over the next six months,” the United Nations said in a statement, which amounts to about a third of the country’s population.
“In areas across the country, there are acute shortages of essential medicines, and rising food insecurity has heightened the risk of gender-based violence, particularly for women and girls,” it said.
A government document seen by AFP stated that around 7.5 million people in both rural and urban areas will require food aid between February 2019 and March 2010.
“I am releasing 10 million dollars today as a first contribution to the appeal,” Lowcock said during the official launch in Harare.
A 25-year-old woman, Rose Bulus, on Thursday dragged her father, Josiah, to a Shari’a Court sitting in Magajin Gari, Kaduna State for refusing to allow her to marry a man she loves.
The complainant, who lives in Kaduna Central Area, told the court that she converted to Islam, to marry the man she chose but her father refused.
“I want the court to compel my father to allow me to marry the man I love and if he refuses, the court should do the needful’’, she prayed.
Josiah, the father of the complainant told the court that he was not aware of his daughter’s relationship with any man and was surprised to see a court sermon.
Josiah said, “The supposed suitor has never visited me to ask for the hand of my daughter hand in marriage,” he said.
The Judge, Malam Dahiru Lawal after listening to both parties said, “Even though marriage is a union between a man and a woman, parent’s consent is equally needed before the union takes place”.
He ordered the suitor and his people to appear in the court.
He adjourned the matter until March 4 for further hearing.

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity Femi Adesina has given hints that President Muhammadu might dissolve his cabinet before his inauguration on May 29.
Speaking on Arise Television on Thursday, Adesina assured that, unlike in 2015, Buhari would not spend a long time before choosing his members of his new cabinet.
Asked if the president would reshuffle his cabinet, Adesina replied: “One thing about governance is that the first mandate is for four years.
“That mandate elapses on May 29, and shortly before May 29, the president is likely going to officially dissolve his government. That is the way it is usually done.
“He says thank you to everybody that he has called to work with him and then he dissolves that government officially.
“Then when he is inaugurated for a second time, he now reconstitutes a government; he appoints his personal aides; he forms his cabinet, he appoints other people to fill other positions.”
There has been speculation that President Buhari will reshuffle his cabinet which took him six months to unveil.
