Shocking! How Pastor Iginla & Wife Both Have Children Out Of Wedlock

Popular Abuja-based pastor, Joshua Iginla, has admitted that he and his wife, Yemisi, both had children out of wedlock.

Iginla, who is the Senior Pastor of Champions Royal Assembly, who spoke to his congregation during a Sunday service, said when his wife brought an illegitimate child into their home, he forgave her, but that she refused to forgive him when he had his own child with another woman.

The cleric, in a video that has since gone viral, stated that though he had tried for seven years to “stable the vehicle,” it had resulted in a battle with his family members and disciples. Watch him confess his infidelity right  after the cut.

Akpabio Brags: PDP Lost Presidency The Day I Left Them

Senator Godswill Akpabio has said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lost the election the day he left and joined the All Progressives Congress (APC), where he could not win a reelection.

“My former party lost from the day I stepped out of it,” Akpabio stated in a one-on-one interview with Channels Television‘s Seun Okinbaloye. He said the PDP became lighter when the minority leader of the Senate moved to the ruling party. He said when he moved, he moved with thousands, hence depleting the PDP’s numbers and by extension its chances of winning the elections.

The former governor of Akwa Ibom, however, noted that the PDP would not have been able to defeat President Buhari even if he was there because Nigerians wanted continuity. “I believe strongly that the President needed to be re-elected,” Akpabio said.

Speaking about his loss at the Senatorial polls following his defection to the APC, Akpabio said he was robbed. He said the results from Ikot-Ekpene Senatorial District were mutilated in a bid to deprive him of his mandate.

He said, “those responsible, whether the REC in Akwa-Ibom State or those he instructed know the reality, my plea now is that they should announce my result. The reality is that I am asking for justice.

"I'm saying that INEC should be bold enough to do the right thing. I am disappointed that a state with so much followership as far as the party is concerned, the state that loves President Buhari so much was not allowed as a result of a conspiracy to bring out the votes”.

How I Slept In My Room & Woke Up In A 'River'

Written by Osayimwen Osahon George
Human life is so cheap in Nigeria. So cheap that we have exhausted our sympathy for victims of accidents, conflicts, crime, natural disasters and others.

When the news of such incidents break, we read the headlines, take note of the casualty/damage rate and then move on to the next news item with ease. The victims if they are lucky to tell the story live with the pains and indelible marks from painful recoveries and in the event of their demise, their families relieve the harrowing experience of losing their loved ones under very avoidable circumstances.

As the politicians share the spoils of war from the recently concluded 2019 presidential elections, they will hardly remember the over 30 common people who reportedly died as a result of electoral violence across the country and several others who died in the course of celebrating the victory of the incumbent leader, President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Lagos floods constitute a yearly ritual in the financial hub of Nigeria where people pay exorbitant amounts of money for house rents with minimum utility guaranteed. When the torrential rains fall, pictures of the woes of people and the accompanied gory tales are shared on social media and in the online media, people mostly motivated by eye-service sympathize with each other and it never stops there. The state government releases an official press statement condoling with the affected victims, the governor may visit the affected places, pretend to be working until tension subsides and then moves on with life till it It happens again. Its a vicious cycle!

In most parts of Lagos, one thing you will notice is that the gutters don't flow. The lack of good drainage facilities and poor town planning will forever haunt the city which houses over 21 million Nigerians fighting hard to survive the stranglehold of high cost of living and poor social amenities. This further confirms the unwarranted recognition of Lagos as one of the worst cities to live in across the world.

The stagnant gutters don't only produce massive stench and flies, fat mosquitoes flourish in them. Some Lagosians who believe they are the smartest in the world also dump refuse inside the gutters when rain falls. Majority of the posh young people and adults you see on social media live with these gutters and heaps of refuse but they will never show you that aspect of their lives.

The gutters in the Ago Palace Way area of Okota Lagos are very large but they hardly flow. The stagnant waters are so deep that they even harbour massive cat fishes which are harvested regularly by some folks from the north and middle-belt region either for consumption or for sale.

When I moved to Ago Palace Way in the year 2017, I sensed the clogged gutters were disasters waiting to happen but in Lagos, nobody talks about the gutters. If you do, people will wonder if you are interested in living inside them with some reptiles. When rain falls, we lament and pick our steps across the emergency 'streams' around us. Several times, I have had the cause to take off my shoes and socks to walk through the waters while on my way to work thereby exposing my feet to the danger of sharp objects or loitering reptiles beneath the coloured waters.

In my first week at Ago Palace Way, I noticed a small family was living in a makeshift house situated in the middle of a swamp and it appeared everything was fine. I wanted to interview an elderly man in the small compound and make a story out of it but my efforts were futile.

Well, it appears I don't need his story anymore. Life has given me my own story in a sacrificial and painful way.

Towards 2am on the 1st of March, 2019, I got an unwarranted visitor. It was a familiar disaster I have always had a premonition about. It happened that rain started falling and the hot weather got cosy gradually. I woke up to look around my house was I had earlier suffered from the problem of leakages around the roof. Trust me, the house isn't cheap, its not a shanty, its an average Lagos apartment of a room and a parlour.

I retired to my room to play around Instagram and WhatsApp pending on when sleep would come calling again. I finally slept around 4am and woke up at 6am to prepare for work. To confirm time, I decided to check my phone which is like a daily routine for me. As I reached out for my phone which was on the ground, I noticed the back was wet. It was shocking. I felt I had left a half sachet of pure water on the floor and it had poured while I slept. I couldn't remember leaving any sachet water anyway. I picked up my phone and switched on the flash light as the room was dark. I noticed there was a heavy flow of water from the living room and the under of my bed was wet. I got so scared and apprehensive. I swiftly rushed to the living room only to discover it had been transformed into a fish pond; the kind that is used to raise fingerlings.

My extension boxes were submerged. The saving grace I had was that they were all switched off including the one meant for the refrigerator. I could have been electrocuted. I quickly made my way to the central fuse and switched it off to prevent any possible electric shock. My furniture was affected, the speakers of my home theatre swam in the flood and other belongings. I peeped into my kitchen and I was heartbroken. It was also flooded with some of my food materials affected. My bathroom wasn't spared too including the veranda. It was as if I offended a mermaid as some superstitious people would tease. I ran out of the house to call the attention of the gateman. My phone battery was dying and I knew I needed to document the awry event and also contact certain people.

"Abdul! Abdul!! Abdul!!!, come see oh, water don enter my house" I said in a local parlance, Pidgin English.

He wasn't too shocked. He must have seen it coming I thought as the compound and outside the house were in bad shapes.

"Oga, the thing enter your house sef? Na three of una e affect for the compound and them dey pack water since" he said.

He followed to my apartment and he shook his head in sympathy and disgust. I gave him my phone to charge for me while I carried my cross in flowing tears towards Calvary.

I got a big bucket from the bathroom and started scooping water from my apartment. It was like a futile exercise. I later noticed that the water came from underground and it was as if the water level kept increasing as I scooped out water.

A concerned neighbour looked at me with pity and said: "I think you are wasting your time scooping out the water, its flowing back into your house. You better relax and wait for the water level to drop in general".

She was somehow correct, the gutters were full as usual and showed no signs of flowing. There were stagnant waters around the house. They had the capability of predisposing kids to the danger of drowning. I couldn't just leave my house in that bad shape and fold my arms. I continued to evacuate the water. I later got my phone and decided to make a video recording to present at work to buttress my unplanned absence. I contacted appropriate authorities at work in between the laborious work. My entire house was in a bad shape overnight, it was like a real nightmare.

Neighbours started trooping in one by one to sympathize with me. I have only heard about flooding all my life, I never experienced one. It was a common occurrence in ghetto areas in Ibadan where I grew up. The issue was hard to deal with. For about 5 hours I was still evacuating the water. I was tired, weak and hungry but it was hard to stop. Its an event I will never wish my worst enemy.

As I bit my fingers and licked my wounds, I was later told my absence at work which wasn't well 'communicated' had backfired and I was going to be sanctioned. All attempts at providing explanations and apologies proved ineffective. It was as if the world was against me. My world was crashing before my very eyes.

I wept in my heart as I spent the entire day cleaning up my house and sun-drying my properties. The flood ushered in hundreds of mosquitoes which my insecticide couldn't effectively eliminate. As the mosquitoes kept my company all through the night, I slowly counted my losses. My appetite for food dropped and I struggled to sleep coupled with recurrent issues of absentmindedness.

The job threat was a paramount concern but I appreciated God for the gift of life. I could have been electrocuted if any of my extension boxes was switched. I only stopped switching on the refrigerator overnight just two days to the incident. I could have died a cheap death with all my dreams and aspirations gone just like that. I can bet my life that the devil would have ushered me into hell fire if I had died because I was flirting with a heavy-chested Canada-based Nigerian lady via WhatsApp that midnight.

Most of us live with looming disasters but we bank on God to protect us from them like the Spiderman. Nobody takes due precautions anymore. They share wonderful testimonies when others are affected by avoidable disasters while little or no efforts arr made to prevent or mitigate any future re-occurrence.

I hope my story changes the mentality and approach of someone to similar issues so that we could make a difference in our localities.

Furious Bride Slams Baker For Her 'Ugly' Wedding Cake In Blistering Email

Planning a wedding can be one of the most stressful things you ever do. Even the most mild-mannered brides will, at some point, succumb to the stress. This sometimes means they (unfairly) get branded as "bridezillas" .

However, there are occasions when the bridezilla label seems to fit the bill nicely.

For example, sending the person responsible for your wedding cake a blistering email, slamming their efforts and describing the cake as "ugly".

Sounds horrid, doesn't it? Sadly this is what baker Jordan Rondel, who runs Auckland bakery The Caker, had to recently deal with.

Jordan had been working on this two-tier wedding cake with pink icing.

But her client wasn't happy with the fruits of her labour, and put it in an email.

"I don't know how I've paid for the simplest cake with minimal decorations and paid the amount I have just coz it's 'The Caker'," the bride fumed.

"This is just unacceptable. This is the ugliest cake I've seen. I want a full refund."

She then signed off with a charming: "I expect a reply back". Nice!

Rondel shared the bride's email on her Instagram and Facebook page, adding that she was "completely shook" by the feedback.

The Caker has plenty of loyal supporters, and they rallied.

"Wow, isn't that signature Caker style?! LOVE IT! Bet it tastes amazing too, which is the best part!" one fan wrote.

"It's beautiful, love the colour!! Be proud of your style, that’s why we all love what you do!!!" reassured another.

There were a couple of people, however, who did see where the bride was coming from.

"It's quite a naked cake, and the flowers do look a bit haberdashery. Not ugly, but I can see where someone might be a bit underwhelmed."

Well, you can't please everybody...

Is This The Most Dangerous Pre- Wedding Shoot?

A couple who found fame by sharing incredible photos of their travels around the world have been criticised for sharing a photo of them hanging out of a train

Portuguese bloggers Raquel and Miguel, who blog under the name Explorerssaurus shared two photos from their journey through Sri Lanka.

In the photo they are both hanging out the side of the train holding on to the bars.

Raquel who is the furthest out of the train, is standing on one leg while Miguel kisses her forehead.

The train is travelling over a bridge and appears to be extremely high up over an area of greenery.

Many have slammed the couple for posting the "dangerous" picture, and others are concerned people may try to copy them.

The caption reads: "We are all on a long journey, with problems to solve, lessons to learn, but most of all, experiences to enjoy. For where are you now  and where you will go, for "I've always known" and "I told you so", for "nothing is happening"  and "all has gone wrong"  just go out there and don't wait too long...

"No matter what happens, make sure you always enjoy this wonderful ride called life  When was the last time you went on a trip and where did you go?"

One angry commenter wrote: "Such a irresponsible picture!! Shame to see people who will do anything for social media even risk their lives!!"

A fan added: "Guys think about it! How many people are going to try this on without safety measures. I don't think this should be up on social media. No doubt it's an amazing picture but it's just doesn't deserve to be on social media."

Another wrote: "It doesn't matter how slow the train was moving! It's stupid and dangerous and most importantly you will inspire others to take similar risky and dangerous shots. How do you not understand that?"

One concerned fan commented: "Guys that's so dangerous. Please please be careful."

But other people loved the photos and defended the couple.

One wrote: "I have to say, as a follower, that this photo has nothing wrong with it. They are not responsible for anyone. If someone else is going to try this "position", it is their responsibility, period. Nothing else encharged on them."

Scotty T Shamelessly URINATES On Cash Machine

On a scale of one to 10 of outrageous behaviour, Scotty T earned himself a solid 11 with his unsavoury antics this weekend.

Not famed for his subtly, instead of finding a bush to pee behind on a wild night out in Newcastle, he chose to urinate all over a cash machine.

The reality star was pictured holding his todger with one hand and weeing as he entered his pin with the other.

Not giving two hoots who saw the unhygienic display, he at least had the decency to aim away from the key pad whilst he checked his balance.

Then keen to crack on with his night, he stumbled down the road while trying to do his flies up with one hand.

In the other he clutched a trusty can of Jack Daniels while a cigarette dangled from his mouth.

His gruesome carry-on come just a month after he pulled out of an adult pantomime after abysmal ticket sales.

Scotty was due to play the lead role in Jack and His Giant Beanstalk, but only 22 tickets were sold in the 650-seat Blackpool venue.

The former Celebrity Big Brother winner walked out due to 'illness', reportedly leaving the cast and crew furious.

Why We Arrested Babalele, Atiku’s Son-In-Law, Finance Officer – EFCC

Many days after raging furore over the arrest of Alhaji Babalele Abdullahi, who is the son-in-law to the defeated presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Monday owned up picking up the man.

The Commission while admitting for the first time that its operatives arrested Babalele, who is also the Finance Director of Atiku’s group of companies, justified the arrest of the man, saying that he was engaged in money laundering to the tune of€150 million.

The anti-graft agency did not however specify how the huge sum was laundered or where it originated and where it terminated.

But Vanguard learnt authoritatively that Atiku’s son-in-law was ‘taken away’ by security agents on the suspicion that he could use hard currency to unduly influence the outcome of many polls taking place in the country.

Although the EFCC had initially kept mute over the arrest of Babalele, the agency on Monday tried to douse rising tension over the detention of the man, admitting that he was in its custody but did not indicate the exact location where the man was being kept.

A source in the commission said: “Yes, he Babalele is being investigated over alleged case of money laundering and the sum involved is €150 million.

“Let it be known that investigation into the matter is ongoing and we can confirm that Babalele is in our custody.

But he will be released soon,” the source hinted on Monday following enquiry by Vanguard. However when contacted, the acting spokesman for EFCC, Mr. Tony Orilade, who confirmed the detention of Babalele, however declined further comments on the matter, insisting that the commission does not conduct its investigation in the media.

INEC Reverses Self, Declares PDP Winner Of Orlu/Orsu/Oru East Poll

The Independent National Electoral Commission (I NEC ) Monday reversed its earlier decision on Orlu-Orsu-Oru East Federal Constituency and declared the People’s Democratic Party candidate, Jerry Alagbaso winner.

The Returning Officer, Professor Innocent Madufor, had earlier declared election in the Constituency inconclusive.

But announcing the results Monday, the Returning Officer disclosed that the PDP candidate polled a total of 21,273 votes to defeat his closest rival of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Edwin Iheanacho, who got 20, 061 votes.

Explaining INEC’s decision to announce the result, despite declaring it inconclusive earlier, the State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Prof. Francis Ezeonu, stated that the circumstances surrounding that prompted INEC’s earlier decision has been resolved.

He disclosed that elections in some areas were declared inconclusive by the Returning Officer because Card Readers were not deployed.

In his words, “we won’t go back to conduct fresh elections in those areas where Card Readers were not deployed because it is stipulated in the INEC guideline that in those areas where Card Readers were not deployed either as a result of violence or compromise, the result should be returned as zero”.

Aisha Buhari Says President Will Close Gap Between Rich & Poor

Wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha, has reassured Nigerians that the President will use his second term to consolidate his previous campaign promises of securing the nation, growing the economy and fighting corruption.

Specifically, she said the president would alleviate poverty by closing the gap between the rich and the poor.

Mrs Aisha said this on Saturday during a dinner organized by her at the State House Conference Center in Abuja, to celebrate the president’s victory.

She also thanked the women and youths for their support throughout the election period.

“I wish I can invite all the 15 million Nigerians that voted for Mr President to this dinner, but no place can accommodate you all. So, let me say thank you and assure you that you made the right choice,” she was quoted as saying in a statement signed by her spokesperson, Suleiman Haruna.

“Specifically, I wish to express my appreciation to the women and youth presidential campaign team that I initiated to complement the efforts of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.

“As you all know by now, the aim of setting up the team was to get women and youth, who form the majority of the electorate, involved in all the campaign activities across the country,” she said.

Court Nullifies Kano PDP Governorship Primary

Barely five days to the governorship election, a Federal High Court in Kano on Monday nullified the governorship primary election conducted by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP,) which produced Abba Kabir-Yusuf as the PDP’s flag-bearer in the state.

The cancellation of the primary election followed the suit filed before the Court, by one of the party gubernatorial aspirants, Alhaji Ibrahim Ali-Amin, who challenged the legitimacy of the process which produced Kabir-Yusuf as candidate.

Al-Amin alleged that the PDP during the primary election “sidelined and booted him out” of the race.

Delivering a ruling, Justice Lewis Alagua, nullified the election on the premise that the party had no incontrovertible reason to deny the plaintiff participating in the primary election because he formally brought his expression and nomination form. Alagua also held that denying the plaintiff the right to participate in the primary election, contravened the provision of the Electoral Act. He ordered for a valid fresh primary election before the forthcoming governorship election on March 9 in the country.

Tinubu Bans Ajimobi From Appearing At APC Governorship Rallies

Abiola Ajimobi, the outgoing Governor of Oyo State, can no longer attend governorship campaign events of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, SaharaReporters understands.

Ajimobi lost his Oyo South Senatorial District bid to Dr. Kola Balogun of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 105,720 votes to Ajimobi’s 92,579 votes, meanwhile the other two senatorial slots were won by the APC.

To worsen matters, of the five federal constituencies in Ajimobi’s Oyo South, APC won only one, while PDP has already won three and is set to claim the fourth when the election is concluded this weekend.

APC’s woeful outing in Ajimobi’s expected stronghold has prompted protests from party leaders, with Bola Tinubu, the National leader, now personally overseeing the campaigns in a desperate bid to prevent a potential surrendering of the governorship to the PDP. And one of what Tinubu has quickly done, apart from buying off Adebayo Alao-Akala’s candidature, is to ban Ajimobi from showing up at APC governorship campaign meetings involving Bayo Adelabu, the party’s candidate.

“The belief of Tinubu and other APC leaders is that it is Ajimobi that the people are angry with — not APC — therefore he should stay away from campaign activities,” an APC source very familiar with the development told SaharaReporters.

“The fear is that Ajimobi’s appearance at Adelabu’s campaign rallies will be damaging for the party. In fact, there is a jingle of the party begging the people, explaining that Ajimobi, not the party, is the fall guy. Since the presidential and national assembly elections, Adelabu has been campaigning on his own — without the Governor’s involvement.”

APC Women Ban Adams Oshiomole From Imo

Women leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State, led by Theresa Ohanuha, have cautioned Adams Oshiomhole, the APC National Chairman, not to enter the state forthwith.

This was disclosed in a communiqué issued after their protest on Saturday.

The women protested the suspension of Rochas Okorocha, Governor of Imo State, from the party by the APC National Working Committee (NWC) led by Oshiomhole.

According to the women, Oshiomhole's actions are some of the reasons Imo State experienced low turnout in the presidential election.

They also noted that the National Chairman does not have moral justification to remain the party chairman after failing to deliver President Muhammadu Buhari and APC in his council and state during the February 23 elections.

They also accused the former Edo State Governor of unnecessarily attacking Okorocha because of the jealousy that he single-handedly “built the party” in the South East.

Ohanuha, who led the protesters, said: “These actions of Oshiomhole negatively affected the outcome of the recent presidential election in Imo. The suspension of the Imo West senator-elect, Governor Rochas Okorocha, on the basis of anti-party activities is unacceptable.

“We are sure that Mr. President is not aware of these events. We, the APC women in Imo State, respectfully appeal to Mr. President to call Oshiomhole to order.”
