Neighbors Attack Man Who Beat His Girlfriend For Hours

A young man got more than he bargained for recently after he visited a lady said to be his girlfriend in her apartment. One thing led to another and he started beating her, while she kept screaming.

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo says the National Chairman of the APC, Mr Adams Oshiomhole, and the party’s governorship candidate, Sen. Hope Uzodimma, are to blame for the inability of the party to win the governorship election.

He said posterity would judge the two for their alleged roles in the election.

In a release by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Sam Onwuemeodo in Owerri on Thursday, the governor alleged that Uzodinma worked for the Peoples Democratic Party in the just concluded elections.

He said Uzodimma was one of the first to celebrate with the PDP candidate, Emeka Ihedioha, after he was declared the winner of the election, citing a video of the two contestants as proof of his guilt.

“We had maintained that Chief Uzodinma was just a mole in the APC and today, the governorship election in the state and its outcome have obviously vindicated us, aside the fact that a video of Chief Uzodinma’s celebration with Ihedioha has gone viral on the social media.”

He also alleged that Uzodimma succeeded in the alleged plot by ensuring only his supporters were made agents of the party, adding that his target was to destroy APC in the South-East.

“Chief Uzodinma succeeded through Adams Oshiomhole to ensure that only his supporters were made agents of the party, from the list he sent from Abuja to INEC.

“Unfortunately, none of Uzodinma’s and Oshiomhole’s approved agents were seen either at the ward, local government or at the state level; they didn’t care about the election and its outcome.

“At the end of the day, the APC candidate came fourth. And he has been celebrating with the PDP candidate.

“Their target as it has been shown now is to totally destroy APC in the South-East and in Imo in particular, thereby authenticating the claim in some quarters that it is all about 2023.

“We had equally maintained the contention that Imo people would not vote for Uzodinma because they know him very well, but Oshiomhole refused to listen.

“He came fourth and never showed that he took part in the election; Posterity and history will judge Oshiomhole and Uzodinma over the fate of APC in the South-East, especially in Imo State,” Okorocha said.

Obasanjo To Oyo Governor-elect, Seyi Makinde: Be The Best Governor So Far

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Thursday advised the Oyo State Governor-elect, Seyi Makinde, not to run a Democratic system that would put the government of the state in his pocket.

Obasanjo said Makinde has the onerous task of striving to transform the capital of former old Western Region, urging the people to keep supporting him to succeed when eventually sworn-in.

The elder statesman gave the advice when he received the Governor-elect, his Deputy, Akeem Ademola, Oyo state chairman of PDP, Kunmi Mustapha, Bose Adelabu, Lagos state PDP chairman, Dominic Agboola among others at his Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, Ogun state.

The ex-Head of States described such government that serves narrow interest as “democratic so sa po”, meaning pocketing democratic system for personal gains against true democratic system.

He also advised Makinde to shun corruption.

“Be transparent and embark on developmental projects, which would be a delight to the people of Oyo state. Please run a government that will be making them ask, where have this type of government been all these years in Oyo state.

“You must give them something (positive), you must give them good democracy and not that one my younger brothers will call democratic so sa po’ (pocketing democracy).

“Where there is misunderstanding, call yourselves (your people) together and make peace in the overall interest of Oyo state.

“He cannot do it alone and since you have supported him now, you should continue to be together. You should be mindful that Oyo people are fearless and they don’t mind, whose oars is gored, that is why you are there now,” Obasanjo stated.

He promised to support the incoming  government and be available anytime his service is needed.

In his response, Makinde said the visit was meant to appreciate Baba Obasanjo and seeks wisdom from the elder statesman. The Governor-elect admitted that Oyo state was “in a bad shape but pledged to apply wisdom to make things better.

1,000 buildings in Lagos Island are ‘unfit for human habitation’

Kunle Awobodu, national president, Building Collapse Prevention Guild (BCPG), says there are over 1,000 buildings unfit for human habitation in Lagos Island.

Speaking in an interview with NAN, Awobodu said his group had brought such distressed buildings to the notice of the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) for demolition.

He was reacting to building that collapsed in the Ita-Faaji area of Lagos Island.

“There are over 1,000 distressed other buildings of this nature in Lagos, which, if nothing is done to demolish them, they will still collapse, resulting to more calamities in the state,” he said.

“The collapsed building had been marked for demolition about three times, but the building regulatory agency has not demolished it. We are moving round the circle and this has to stop. Let the building control agency take the bull by the horn, by ensuring that all distressed buildings in the state are identified and demolished.

“Let the state government look for preventive measures, rather than spending money for evacuation, investigation and remediation after the calamities and damages have occurred.”

He added that all the agencies responsible for monitoring buildings should be more proactive rather than wait till buildings collapse.

He also called on architects, building engineers, bricklayers and the end-users to live up to the expectations by complying with the construction rules and regulations guiding the industry.

Adelaja Adekanmbi, chairman of the Nigeria Institute of Building (NIOB), Lagos chapter, who spoke on the side, said there is a need for a town hall meeting with the government, professionals, developers and end-users in the building environment.

He said the meeting was necessary as a platform for comprehensive deliberation among the players, on how to tackle the issue of building collapse in Lagos state.

“Residents, who are the end-users have vital roles to play in curbing building collapse; they are in a better position to detect early illegal, abandoned and substandard constructions,” he said.

“LASBCA and other building regulatory authorities alone cannot properly monitor to detect when buildings are defective or when illegal constructions are going on, without the support of the residents.

“It is the residents that are in a better position to detect distressed and substandard buildings within their areas.

“It will be wicked of us to wait until calamity happens before government, institutions, professionals or individuals, can start to look for prevention. It requires collective efforts to end building collapse, and all players in the industry must contribute their quotas.”

Man Arrested For Dressing As A Female Muslim

Police officers in Lamu County have apprehended a man from Makueni after he was caught dressed in female Muslim attire. A neighbor called the attention of the police after spotting a ‘girl’ of suspicious character in the neighbourhood.

According to a police report, officers on patrol visited the house of Idris Kororo, a Somali man, where they found Mutuku. Dressed in a buibui, hijab and bra, Mutuku claimed he was a woman who went by the name Farida Chemutai.

Authorities say that the man arrived in Lamu county from Nairobi just two days ago.

Aww! Lagos Residents Troop Out To Donate Blood For Survivors Of Lagos Collapsed Building

Residents of Lagos State have responded en masse to the call to come out and donate blood for the survivors of the building collapse at Ita Faji, Lagos Island.

According to the executive secretary of Lagos State Blood Transfusion Service, Modupe Olaiya, the donor turn out has been massive and quite impressing.

“As early as yesterday night, we had people coming in to donate blood after office hours and people are still trooping in by the hour. I am really impressed by the turn out of donors,” Ms Olaiya said.

“As you can see by yourself, this centre is filled up. Despite people leaving immediately, they are done donating, people keep pouring in. This is not the only centre blood donation is ongoing. If you go to the pathology section right now, people are also there donating blood as well and it is filled.


“We have also instructed people who can’t make it down here to go to the nearest government hospital around them to donate blood and the blood will get to us as at when needed and reports we have been getting is that people are going to donate in those places as well.

“I am even receiving calls from people who are unable to leave their offices to come and donate, asking us to come down to their offices for the donation and we have to reschedule with them because we have a lot of people that need our attention here as well.

“We would also like that more people become regular donors because blood is important to save lives. It should not only be during emergencies like this that people come to donate blood. ”

Hollywood Actress, Rosie O'Donnell Speaks About How Her Father Molested Her As A Child

Rosie O'Donnell has gone public with allegations her father sexually abused her.

The actress told Variety, "It started very young."

"And then when my mother died, it sort of ended in a weird way, because then he was with these five children to take care of," she said. "On the whole, it's not something I like to talk about."

O'Donnell was 10 when her mother, Roseann, died from breast cancer.


Her father, Edward, died in 2015 from cancer.

O'Donnell shares the revelation in the forthcoming book "Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story of 'The View'" by Ramin Setoodeh, which is set to be published on April 2.

"Of course, it changes everyone," she told Variety of the abuse. "Any child who is put in that position, especially by someone in the family, you feel completely powerless and stuck, because the person you would tell is the person doing it."

The former talk show host has been an outspoken advocate for other alleged victims of sexual abuse, including Dylan Farrow.

O'Donnell talked to CNN in 2012 about her difficult relationship with her father. "He had his own issues and demons, he had a very tough childhood, he had an alcoholic, abusive father and never really got the help that I think every person needs when they have lived through that as a child," she said at the time. "I think that he had a lot of problems to deal with."

She said she had forgiven her father, even though she felt that some of what he had done to her and her siblings was "unforgivable."

"You get to be 50 years old you can't still be angry at what your father did in 1970," O'Donnell said.

"You have to work it out for yourself and find a place for it in your life and not rehash it forever."

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai was not involved in a ghastly auto crash as being claimed on social media.

Rumours went wild this afternoon that the Governor was involved in a ghastly crash that left his driver instantly dead and the condition of the Governor unknown.

Teary! Dying Mom Customized Loving Message On Daughter’s Wedding Shoes Because She Knew She Would Be Dead By Then

A woman found a secret message from her terminally ill mum who had died written on the soles of her wedding shoes.

Bride-to-be Emma, 38, who is due to get married in August, last week received the shoes and said she was ‘in bits’ when she saw her mum’s message.

Her mother was diagnosed with cancer a month after Emma got engaged to fiance Richard and she had hoped she would make it to the wedding, but sadly died in 2017.

Emma told the BBC: ‘It’s been so hard planning a wedding without having her with me, and I have had lots of tears.’


She said the shoes came in the post and she was told her mum had already paid for them.

Written on the soles of the shoes was the message: ‘Wanted you to have a gift from me on your wedding day. Your wedding shoes are my gift to you.

‘Hope you have a magical day. Lots and lots of love and big hugs, MUM xxxx.’

Emma said: ‘I had absolutely no idea, my fiancé knew about it. It was just an absolute shock.

‘I pulled out the one shoe and I saw part of the message and I couldn’t think who it would be.’

She said that when she realised it was from her mum: ‘I started to cry… I was just absolutely in bits.

‘I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t talk.’

Emma shared her story and a picture of the shoes to Facebook, where she was inundated with support.

Say What? Doctor Arrested For Mastu-rbating While Checking Woman's Private Part

Self discipline is not something to be taken for granted. A doctor identified as Ezequiel Fernández Bugin, has been arrested for allegedly mastur-bating while checking his patient's private part during an ultrasound session. 

The 33-year-old doctor has been charged with s*xual abuse.

He was taken into custody at the Canning Medical Center in the Argentine province of Buenos Aires. Hiss arrest came after the lady who was visiting the medical diagnostic imaging center in the town of Canning, noticed him making some strange movements.

The lady who also underwent a kidney exam, said the doctor was mastur-bating when she turned around and further realized that he had ejaculated on her back.
