Wife Cries Out: How Landlady Killed My Husband With Juju

The landlady of 16 Adekoya Street in Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State and her children are on the run, following alleged murder of one of her tenants, Idowu Oladele at the weekend.

The fleeing landlady, Fausat Ibrahim, was said to have hit the deceased with a charm on his chest, causing him to slump and died moments before being rushed to the hospital.

Late Oladele’s widow, Bose, narrated in tears how her husband was killed.

She said that trouble started after she and her late husband returned from a party at about 9pm on Saturday. They left the cooler which was used to take food to the party, at their door step, with the intention to wash them next day.

According to her, "barely had we settled down than we heard bangs on the door. When my husband opened the door, he found our landlady and her two children, Awwal and Zainab.

“The landlady asked why we put our property at our doorstep, that every part of the compound belongs to her. While my husband tried to reply, her son, Awwal, hit him on his head. As he turned to face Awwal, the landlady used a charm to hit my husband on his chest. He (husband) started jerking and after some minutes, he fell and died.”

When Vanguard visited the area, yesterday, tenants said the fleeing suspect had threatened severally to kill the deceased.

According to a tenant, who spoke on the condition of anonymity: “She has been threatening to take his life on several occasions. In fact, just some days ago, the landlady told Idowu that she would kill him very soon, because he was daring her in that compound.”

Boat Owner In Trouble After Being Caught Carrying Students Without Life Jackets

The National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) has impounded a boat and arrested the operator for ferrying 12 secondary school students on Lagos lagoon without life jackets.

Speaking in Lagos on Monday, the General Manager, Lagos Office, Muazu Sambo said the Lagos area office also arrested the boat operator and boat driver.

He added that the children were going from Takwa Bay to Osborne for a school events.

The NIWA boss stated that the owner of the boats and driver, Mr. Balogun Oriyomi and Solomon Gbenga respectively, will be handed over to the police for prosecution.

According to the NIWA GM, "ln the morning of Thursday 28th March 2019, management of NIWA on a control inspection arrested a private passenger boat on the Lagos lagoon."

The boat was conveying school children of the Government Secondary School who were all under 16 years old from Tarkwa Bay to Osborne for a Schools event. The route is one of the busiest. Most shockingly, none of the children wore a life jacket on that open boat.

“A standard approved life jacket is an essential requirement for water transportation and its use is mandatory, for it is the only tool that helps to ensure the survival of lives in the unfortunate event of a boat mishap.

“What is more, nobody can rule out the possibility of a mishap occurring on any trip at any given time due to several factors that may be beyond human control.

“NIWA places a very high premium on the safety of lives on water. The Authority had only recently toured all passenger jetties in Lagos on sensitization campaign on safety, with particular emphasis on the use of life jackets, amongst other requirements."

Nigerian Woman Executed In Saudi Arabia For Drugs

Saudi Arabia has executed a Nigerian woman convicted of trafficking drugs, the Agence France Presse news agency quotes state media as reporting. The woman was executed along with two Pakistani men and a Yemeni man in Islam’s holiest city, Mecca, on Monday.

A total of 53 people have been executed in the kingdom so far this year, AFP reports.

Saudi Arabia has resisted pressure from campaign groups to abolish the death penalty, saying it is a deterrent against crime.

PDP Leading In Rivers As Court Throws Out Suit Seeking To Stop Collation Of Results

The Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday morning dismissed a suit filed by the African Action Congress (AAC) and three of its members seeking to stop the Independent National Electoral Commission from collating and concluding the results of the March 9, 2019 governorship and House of Assembly Elections in Rivers State.

The collation has commenced and Governor Nyesom Wike of PDP is in clear lead.

Dismissing the suit in a judgment, Justice Inyang Ekwo upheld the preliminary objection filed by the Peoples Democratic Party to challenge the jurisdiction of the court to hear the case.

The judge agreed with the PDP that the Federal High Court lacked jurisdiction to hear the case adjudge to be seeking post-election prayers which could only be entertained by an election petition tribunal.

He held that the suit was an attempt by the plaintiffs to make the court constitute itself into an election petition tribunal.

People are horrified after spotting a tiny pair of denim shorts for sale online which leave very little to the imagination.

The Navy Denim Panties, from Y/Project, aren't for the faint-hearted thanks to their revealing design, which shows off almost all of the bum cheeks.

The Game Breaksdown Over Nipsey's Death

Everyone is heartbroken over the murder of Nipsey Hussle -- but none perhaps more so than The Game ... who lost sleep over it, and broke down while roaming the streets.

Game posted a few videos of himself driving early Monday morning -- around 4 AM, apparently -- in the wake of Nipsey's shooting death just hours earlier near Crenshaw. You don't see his face, but you can hear how distraught the Compton rapper is over it all.

He's dumbfounded by the fact Nipsey was gunned down at his own place of business  and in his own neighborhood in the Crenshaw District, no less. Game's disgusted by it, especially because NH was doing so much good in the area.

Game ends with saying, "LA on some bulls***, on me" ... which is similar to how Jay-Z responded when XXXTentacion was shot to death in Florida last year. Jay put the "streets" on blast in a song --  and it sounds like Game is doing the same here.

Man Who Claimed Supervisor Bullied Him By Farting At Him Loses Compensation Claim

An Australian man who claimed his supervisor bullied him by farting at him several times a day has lost a multi-million dollar compensation claim.

David Hingst demanded his former employer, Construction Engineering, pay out $1.8million AUS (£980,000) in damages.

The engineer alleged that his former supervisor, Greg Short, repeatedly broke wind inside their windowless communal office, forcing him to move to a new office space.

The situation continued, however, as Mr Short would enter his new office and fart in his presence.


“He would fart behind me and walk away. He would do this five or six times a day,” Mr Hingst said.

“He thrusted his bum at me while he was at work.”

He claimed Mr Short's actions were intended to get rid of him, and said he suffered psychological damage.

A court previously heard that the claimant had called his boss 'Mr Stinky' and sprayed deodorant at him.

The state of Victoria's Court of Appeal upheld a previous ruling against the plaintiff and said that breaking wind at colleagues did not necessarily amount to bullying.

Mr Hingst claimed that his employer had bullied him by firing him in 2009, but the firm said the global economic downturn that year was responsible for the termination his employment.

The former engineer says he will now appeal the ruling to Australia's High Court.

The 37-year-old songstress on Monday posted a child shot of the musical artist, whose real name was Ermias Asghedom.

'I’m praying with every ounce of my heart for your family,' Beyonce wrote, adding, 'Rest In Peace, Nipsey.'

The superstar singer was among a number of big names to express their grief at Hussle's death, as standouts from the worlds of entertainment, sports, politics and beyond have sent their condolences after the Sunday shooting at Nipsey's store, Marathon Clothing.

Bricklayer R-pes Nine-Year-Old Wife’s Sister In Osun

A 35-year-old bricklayer, Friday Kanu, has been arrested by the Osun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps for allegedly having carnal knowledge of a minor.

The suspect, it was learnt was arrested in Ilesha following complaints that he molested a nine-year-old pupil, and reportedly confessed to the crime while being interrogated.

The victim, it was gathered, was living with her sister, who is married to Friday, at Imadin, Ilesha, when the suspect first r-ped her.

On March 18, 2019, Friday was said to have taken advantage of his wife’s absence from home to r-pe the victim for the second time.


While being interrogated, the victim’s sister, Odunola Ajayi, said she agreed to Friday’s marriage proposal after she lost her mother to stroke in 2016 and became homeless.

She added that Friday’s behaviour became erratic after he sustained a head injury in an accident and he had to dispose of most of his belongings to raise money for medical treatment.

Friday, according to the Public Relations Officer of the NSCDC in Osun State, Babawale Afolabi, confessed to having r-ped the minor under the influence of alcohol.

The NSCDC spokesperson stated that the victim was taken to the Wesley Hospital, Ilesha for medical attention.

He said the corps would charge the suspect to court as soon as investigation was concluded.

Spiritualists Force Teenager To Swallow Metal Cross For Cleansing

Two spiritualists have been arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly forcing a 16-year-old housemaid to swallow a cross made of metal for spiritual cleansing.

The defendants, Kehinde Salami, 25; and Yetunde Okonola, 42, whose residential address was given as No. 20  Adeyeri Street, Ifako Ijaiye, Lagos, are facing four counts of conspiracy, conduct likely to cause breach of peace, false pretences and attempted murder.

The police prosecutor, Sergeant Kenrich Nomayo, alleged that the defendants attempted to kill 16-year-old Angelina Moses by telling her to swallow a metal cross against her wish.

Nomayo told the court that the defendants committed the offences on March 24, 2019, around 4pm at their residence.


He said the defendants conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace by claiming to see a particular vision concerning the victim.

The police prosecutor said, “The defendants said they ‘saw a vision’ concerning the housemaid that her destiny had been altered from her village and she was told that seven days of fasting and prayer would be conducted to deliver her.

“The defendants, alongside others, who are still at large, also gave the victim a metal cross to swallow on the pretext of delivering her from witchcraft, a representation they both knew to be false.

“As we speak, we do not know the state of health of the complainant as she is still receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.”

The charges read in part, “That you, Yetunde Okonola, Kehinde Salami and others now at large, on March 24, 2019, around 4pm, on No. 20 Adeyeri Street, Ifako Ijaiye, Lagos State, in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit; conduct likely to cause breach of peace and attempted murder.

“That you, Yetunde Okonola, Kehinde Salami and others now at large, on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned magisterial district, did attempt to kill one Angelina Moses, 16, by telling her to swallow a metal cross, which she did.

“That you, Yetunde Okonola, Kehinde Salami and others now at large, on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned magisterial district, did obtain the sum of N2,500 from one Angelina Moses, 16, on the pretext of delivering her from witchcraft, knowing same to be false.”

The offences were said to contravene sections 168, 203, 314 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 (revised).

The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The magistrate adjourned the case till April 30, 2019.

A lot of people aren't seeing the humor in Justin Bieber's fake pregnancy, April Fool's Day joke.

The 25-year old singer posted an ultrasound image on Instagram without any explanation in the caption on Monday, which gave the impression he and wife Hailey Baldwin were expecting their first child together.

The snap, and a series of follow-up shots, set off a frenzy of comments from fans and celebrities alike, who either offered their love and support or questioned whether this was an April Fool's stunt.

When Bieber finally copped to the joke, a number of people took to social media and left scathing comments.


This is all started around one in the afternoon with that ultrasound image. The comments came fast and furious.

Ellen DeGeneres was skeptical: '@JustinBieber, if you're April Fooling me, so help you.'

While Kris Jenner got emotional and wrote, 'Ugh I actually got chills.... I almost cried then I realized what day it is.' Actor Brent Rivera added, 'GOT ME!! wait, unless ur serious and ur gonna be a dad.'

And actor singer Ludacris shared a two hand-prayer emojis, in congratulations.

After the initial post, Baldwin seemed to shoot down pregnancy buzz by commenting with a tone of sarcasm: Very funny...'

But still her husband doubled down on the plan and posted three more photos showing Baldwin surrounded by a couple of medical professionals who are touching her stomach region.

'If U thought it was April fools,' he wrote in the caption.

Shortly after Bieber finally confessed to the April Fool's joke when he shared the same sonogram image, but with a puppy photoshopped in the middle.

'Wait omg is that a,,, APRIL FOOLS' the singer put in the caption.

Some people applauded the Sorry singer for his 'genius' prank with comments like: 'AWHHH MAN!! You got us all! We were sending up prayers and all! lol'

Bu there were many others who slammed him for being insensitive to couples who have struggled to conceive or have lost a child.

'As a woman that can't have children I find this disgusting and disrespectful,' sgsmiles30 commented. 'It just shows how immature you still are. Wouldn't it be Karma if you couldn't have children? I hope you at least have the decency to apologize for such a careless, disgusting act! If not shame on you and your mother for not teaching you right from wrong!'

User yaz.canales added: 'Pregnancy is not a joke... there is a lot of women who have lost babies and others who can not have them and you think it’s a joke.'

'I’ve always loved you and your music, but after this I don’t,' princssdarien2 commented. 'You just don’t joke about this. As someone who has lost a baby due to miscarriage, this just isn’t funny.'

One follower shared a simple: 'Wtf.'

At last check, Bieber has not responded to the backlash, and all three of his April Fool's posts remain on his Instagram page.

Smollet's Dismissal May Screw R Kelly - Lawyer

Jussie Smollett getting off scot-free is bad news for R. Kelly, because prosecutors might be itching for a big win ... so worries the singer's lawyer.

Steven Greenberg tells TMZ ... the outcome of Jussie's criminal case in Cook County -- in which all 16 felony charges against him were dropped by the State's Attorney might be damaging for Kelly, especially when it comes to a possible plea bargain.

He says, "I think it makes it more difficult for a friendly disposition because they’re going to be extremely reluctant to admit they brought these cases with scant evidence or that there are any other problems."


Greenberg adds State's Attorney Kim Foxx and her team may now view Kelly's case as a chance to redeem themselves after taking such intense heat from the City of Chicago and for that matter the nation for their decision to cut the actor loose.

It's worth noting -- Foxx seemed much more committed to prosecuting Kelly than Smollett.  Remember, she held a news conference in early January before charges were filed, urging victims to come forward. By contrast, Foxx recused herself from Jussie's case after she'd admitted to communicating with Smollett's family.

Greenberg concedes there's no way Foxx will recuse herself in the R. Kelly case because there were no equivalent communications ... at least as far as the lawyer knows.

Kelly's facing more serious charges than Smollett -- he's been hit with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. All are class 2 felonies which carry a max sentence of 3 to 7 years in prison for each offense.

He's denied all the allegations.

McDonald's Annoys Burger Lovers With 'Cruel' April Fools' Day Prank

McDonald's has left some fans disappointed with its April Fools' Day prank, but others are just glad it wasn't true.

The fast-chain claimed it was getting ready to release a new burger - The McPickle

The company's Australian social media accounts posted a short video of the new burger, a Big Mac style but with piles of gherkins instead of meat.

The caption read: "Pickle lovers, it's the news you've all been waiting for. "We're super stoked to announce the launch of our brand new McPickle Burger.


"It's time to tuck into juicy, flavoursome pickles layered between melted cheese, ketchup sauce and toasted sesame seed buns.

"It's sure to be a treat for all your senses."

Fans were really excited about the new burger and couldn't wait to try it.

One wrote: "I'm going to order 1000."

Another added: "I cannot wait to get one."

McDonald's later commented: "Available until yesterday" and people started to clock something wasn't quite right.

One wrote: "Oh s*** it's April 1st..."

Another commented: "Omfg if this is april fools joke imma be mad."

A fan added: "Cruel this isn't real."

Others demanded McDonald's actually add it to their menu, with one writing "Make it real" and another adding "I really wish this wasn't an April Fool's joke".
