Gay rights activist, Bisi Alimi has blasted a man who wrote him from Germany, asking him if he has ever met Christ and how Christ can sure help. Bisi said the mail got him upset… he munched the mail, then said both religion that are most visible today -- Christianity and Islam are arrogant.

Bisi also said the world will be better without both religion.

But wait, Mr Alimi failed to answer if the world created it self and why the God who created the world should not be honoured.


Even people who created man made things – cars etc, are all getting their references. So why should any man not acknowledge God. How can the world be a better place without religion?. That’s us cheating HIM. Thank God for His faithfulness, He could decide to destroy the world in a second, then let’s see what is left. If God were men, He would have sued us all. Look at it today, when a man invents a thing and another man tries to take credit, he goes ahead to sue and make millions in return. So why are we denying God of His credits, by simply not referencing Him.

The most painful part are the lazy ones, who have refused to study the words of God and just go on to say yes, Bisi is right. Who is Bisi? Is he not just a human being like you and I?

What did the Bible say in Leviticus 18:22: 'Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable’’.

Yet some people go ahead to praise him, just because they want to be his friend and deny the words of God? HILARIOUS! See if there is any spirit in you that is telling you to go and press your fellow woman;s breast, it's simply, it's not 21st century o, it's just the devil... it;s a demon... Use any word to describe it, you are just deceiving yourself and have refused to be truthful to yourself. A demon is a demon. In fact, they are (demons) laughing at the way they have changed the world to make people believe it is civilization. Too hilarious! MAY GOD REVEAL HIMSELF TO US ALL MORE.

1- Abrahamic religion is an arrogant self loathing religion. I know some people will come here and say not all Muslims or not all Christian, but the truth be told, the world will be a better place without these two blood thirsty arrogant religions

2- it sends a message that homophobia has no border or boundary, some are just more diplomatic with Theo fateful bullshit than others.

3- That religion is a self hating and spiteful movement that despite what it says, lack the component of human connection, empathy and care.

4- finally that like every other idiots online hiding behind religion, this person (possibly a man) that sends this message needs love and care more than I do.

Imagine me, being a young or vulnerable gay man, still struggling with my sexuality as either a Christian or Muslim. Still being hunted by the fear of hell fire and opening my inbox and receiving this kind of message from someone who doesn’t know me but think that he/ she is doing me a favour by indicating that hell fire is my portion?

This is why I will never give a yard in grace to religion, it doesn’t matter how it is practice, it is still rooted in arrogance and self loathing.

We Have No Deal With CJN Onnoghen - Buhari Presidency

There is no deal between the Presidency and embattled Justice Walter Onnoghen on his exit as Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), The Nation learnt last night.

Onnoghen who had been on suspension since January 25 following unsubstantiated allegations against him by the EFCC and the Presidency, turned in his letter of resignation on Thursday.

It is said that the Presidency wanted him to resign as they can't remove him through the senate.

But according to The Nation, highly placed Presidency sources said yesterday that at no time was a deal reached between the seat of power and Onnoghen or his representatives on how he should leave office.

Sources said his ongoing trial for non-declaration of assets would run its course.

There was anxiety yesterday over his fate at the Code of Conduct Tribunal which is handling the case.

Some forces in government are said to be pushing that the trial should go on, some members of the bench and the bar are in support of the NJC decision that Onnoghen be retired.

A top source at the CCT said the tribunal will go ahead with its sitting on April 15 unless there is a notice of discontinuance of the trial from the prosecutors.

Oshiomhole Slammed By Reps Members and Senators

Some returning and newly-elected members of the National Assembly have said the various committees of the federal parliament will not be allocated to only members of the APC.

The National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, had basted openly that only his party members would be in charge of most committees in the National Assembly.

But the lawmakers warned Oshiomhole against interfering in the affairs of the legislature.

They stated this in separate interviews with The Punch at the ongoing orientation organised for incoming members of the 9th National Assembly.

The Chief Whip of the House of Reps who's an APC member, Alhassan Garba, said;
“The national chairman of the APC, with due respect, may not always be right. This is a parliamentary institution only for the legislators. Even in our own rules, we don’t create situations whereby only the ruling party members will constitute the committees. So, it can’t be winners-take-all (thing). When we come to sharing of committee headship, certainly many committees will go to the opposition party.”

Ndume Shuns Tinubu; Insists On Becoming Senate President

The race for who becomes Senate President in the coming 9th Senate is still open. Last-minute attempts by the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, and other party leaders to pacify Senator Ali Ndume to drop his bid for the Senate presidency may have flopped.

Investigations revealed that the leadership of the party and some influential senators met last week and decided to reach out to Ndume, who is contesting the position against Senator Ahmad Lawan.

Ndume reportedly rejected moves by Tinubu to make him drop his ambition.

Details of how it all happened were still sketchy as of Saturday while Ndume who could confirm or deny the development, did not answer calls put across to him.

However, a senator told The Punch on condition of anonymity that a group of Pro-Lawan senator who travelled to Maiduguri on Friday returned to Abuja on Saturday evening without achieving their mission.

He said the group of senators had planned to meet Governor Kashim Shettima, also a senator-elect, but were disappointed when they could not meet with him.

The senator said, “The governor, who was probably aware of the Pro-Lawan senators’ visit, travelled out of the country before their arrival.

“The lawmakers decided to meet the deputy governor, who is not a stakeholder in the project. During the brief session, the deputy governor told the lawmakers that Shettima had travelled to Saudi Arabia.”

Shettima, who is from the same state with Ndume, is believed to be one of the major backers of the former Senate leader for the position.

The pro-Lawan senators-elect would have used the opportunity of their visit to convince Shettima on the need to respect the choice of the party by supporting Lawan.

Meanwhile, the leadership of the APC is facing a dilemma following the insistence of some senator-elect to contest the Senate presidency despite settling for Lawan for the job, The Punch has learnt.

Tinubu had said those not in support of the party’s zoning arrangement for the National Assembly positions were free to leave the party.

Speculation is rife that the party may expel any member who decides to move against its stand. But a member of the APC National Working Committee, who spoke with The Punch on condition of anonymity on Saturday, said, “The truth is that for now, the issue of expulsion for our members who are threatening to move against the party’s choice is not on the card.”

Presidency Cries Out: Why's INEC Quiet On Atiku's 'Victory' On Server Results

The Presidency through the Buhari Media organization (BMO) has expressed concern over the long silence of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over claims by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) that it had access to the commission’s backend Servers.

From the Server Results, Buhari was allegedly defeated by Atiku.

But the Buhari group say the silence of INEC is worrisome and frightening. Chairman and secretary of the group, Niyi Akinsiju and Cassidy Madueke, respectively said this in a statement.

The pro Buhari group said “this is most frightening. That INEC is not alarmed or bothered by such blatant claim by the PDP to have procured the hacking of its systems - whether it is false or not - is most worrisome. We would have expected INEC to swing into clearing the air immediately and distancing itself from such a criminal conduct. But INEC has kept a deafening silence. INEC’s silence on this confession of criminality against it is not golden.

“It is suspicious and carries a weight of taint that must be called out. It can be likened to a scenario where a thief says he has robbed a bank and the bank remains silent on the confession of robbery against it, whether its safes and moneys are intact or not. Silence is very weighty in any such instance”.

BMO said that it knew that the claim by the PDP that it was in possession of results fetched from the INEC servers was “a hoax and only an exhibition of the innate fraudulent character of the PDP. For instance, according to the group, the so-called results did not tally with reality, with fundamental errors such as the absence of votes of other political parties that participated during the election. Still, we believe that INEC ought not to be silent in the face of such wild allegations.

“The very character of the PDP is one of fraud, dishonesty and malfeasance; it is not out of its character to have made moves to procure the hacking into the INEC servers by some of the Commission’s staff. Its Freudian slip of this admission of the stupid attempt, however unsuccessful, must be dealt with and addressed with all sense of seriousness. This, INEC has failed to do.”

Reacting, PDP said Buhari and his team need not panic if they are sure they won the presidential election. The party said Nigerians will see the Results when they are released at the Tribunal.

Husband Stabbed By Brothers-in-law For Slapping His Wife

A man got more than he bargained for recently after slapping his wife in the presence of his sister-in-law in Lagos. The man had stormed his sister-in-law’s shop along the Igando-Ikotun road to continue dragging an issue he had with his wife.

In the course of their argument, he slapped his wife, prompting her to call in her two brothers, who swiftly moved in and stabbed the husband.

While heading to the hospital to get treated, the husband vowed that the fight has just begun. Sigh!

APC Panics; May Expel Ndume, Others Over Senate President

Indications are rife that the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is set to wield the big stick against Senators Ali Ndume and Danjuma Goje as well as other erring members, who flout it’s directives on the election of the National Assembly leadership.

This is coming as a result of intrigues and horse-trading that have recently characterised the position of the Senate President, in which some members are now against the decision of the party.

The party had earlier taken a position on the matter, zoning the Senate Presidency to the North East and endorsing Senator Ahmed Lawan as its preferred choice. But some senators are said to be against the choice of the party, leading to dissenting tunes among the federal lawmakers. While Ndume has consistently insisted on running for the senate presidency, Goje has yet to make his position public but being thronged on by his supporters, who want him to run for the exalted office. 

Telegraph investigations however revealed that the leadership of the party, headed by Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, is not ready to go into any form of negotiation, with a view to pacifying those rebelling against the party’s decision. Sources close to the APC leadership informed our correspondent that the “anti-party activities” currently being displayed by some key members of the party, will result in suspension or outright expulsion of some chieftains of the APC within and outside the National Assembly.

This, one of the sources said, is because of the recalcitrant attitude of some members of the party bigwigs, who are said to be supporting the rebellious cause of some of the lawmakers. A source that is close to the top echelon of the party told Saturday Telegraph that “any matter concerning the emergence of the leadership of the ninth assembly is strictly a decision to be made by the party’s leadership”. When probed further on the stance of the party and the purported disagreement within the ranks, the new House of Representatives member-elect, said; “Anybody, who defiantly violates the party’s zoning arrangement for the emergence of the leadership of the ninth assembly in June this year, would be made to face the penalty”.

He noted that Oshiomhole and the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, had warned the newly elected members not to toe the line of some ranking members, who are set to disobey the party. “Some key people including the national leader and the chairman had warned us not to go contrary to the publicly announced party’s zoning arrangement.

Those going against them are likely going to be indefinitely suspended, if not expelled. “If you will recall, the leader had last week said that anyone that is not in agreement with the party’s decision should quietly leave our fold. They have been advised to go to another party, but since they have refused to go on their own, the party will have to wield the big stick”, he said. Another source, who is a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) defector noted that the APC leaders were particularly angered by the steps being taken by some members of the opposition, who are positioning themselves to take advantage of the division within the APC lawmakers.

“Just like what happened earlier, members of the opposition PDP in the Senate are planning to take advantage of the cracks in the ruling party to field a candidate to produce the next President of the ninth Senate”, he said, adding that Ndume is risking expulsion from the party if he fails to drop his ambition to contest for the senate presidency.

The PDP interest 
Checks by Telegraph further revealed that there are three possible candidates from the PDP jostling for the position of the Senate President. They are Senators Ike Ekweremadu, who is the current Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe (PDP, Abia South) and James Manager (PDP, Delta South).

The PDP trio, sources said, would have a fierce contest among themselves, noting however that Abaribe is the preferred choice of the PDP among these three. Analysing the chances of the PDP candidates, a member of the opposition within the Senate said those against Ekweremadu are those that feel he had been too long in the saddle and there is need to have a fresh blood in the leadership. 

“The number one reason which favours Abaribe over the other two, is that other senators who have been in the Assembly since 2007 will be having a sense of monotony to continue to have Ekweremadu presiding over them.

“But others are of the opinion that, though Manager is well experienced and also qualifies to hold the office, Abaribe is perceived to have more public acceptance among his colleagues, especially with the high level of carriage and articulation with which he has operated in the Red Chamber in the last 12 years”. 

He however argued that, with 41 members, it would be difficult for his party to win the race, except the PDP could get the support of about 14 members from the ruling APC. “It will be difficult for us in the opposition to produce the President of the Senate. Unless we are able to woo not less 14 APC senators, we can’t pull any magic. We need simple majority of 55 out of 109 senators to give us victory,” he said.

Faces Of Alleged Killers Of UNILAG-trained Doctor

The Police in Lagos State have arrested two suspects in connection with the dispossession of valuables and gruesome murder of a Unilag graduate, Dr. Stephen Urueye. This was disclosed by DSP Bala Elkana, the state Police Public Relations Officer.

According to DSP Elkana, on 4th April, 2019, at about 9.45pm, the Itire Police Station received a distress call that some hoodlums armed with knives attacked one Dr Stephen Urueye, a Resident Doctor with LUTH and dispossessed him of his valuables such as mobile phones. They were said to have equally stabbed him at his right thigh and back with knife.

The incident happened around Canal Area of Ishaga Road, Idi Araba while the victim was going somewhere with his female friend, one Hakeem Habeeb Simbiat Opeyemi, a 200 level Student of Department of Health Education, Lagos State University.

The victim was reportedly rushed to Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi Araba, where he eventually died in the early hours of 5th April, 2019.

The two suspects, namely Gbadebo Jimoh and Malik Adeboye, were eventually arrested in connection with the dastardly act.

Senator Adeleke Qualified to Contest for Osun Governorship - Court of Appeal

The controversy over the eligibility of Senator Ademola Adeleke to contest the Osun governorship election has been put to rest as the Federal Court of Appeal sitting in Akure has reaffirmed his qualification and eligibility to contest the office.

The Court of Appeal dismissed an appeal against the judgement of Osogbo High court which had confirmed the eligibility of Senator Ademola Adeleke to contest for the governorship of Osun state. The Osogbo High Court had earlier ruled that Senator Adeleke is qualified to contest for the governorship having been educated up to secondary school level.

The petitioners however proceeded to appeal against the ruling, insisting that the Senator is not qualified and therefore Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi who is the second runner up at the governorship primary should be declared the winner of the primary.

The Appeal Court in its ruling dismissed the appeal on three grounds, affirming the judgement of the lower court that confirmed the eligibility of Senator Adeleke.

The first ground was that the court has no jurisdiction to hear the case. The second was that the petitioner has no locus standi to file the case and third was that the matter was brought to court outside the stipulated 14 days after the conduct of the primary.

Ex-NUC Boss In Age Falsification Scandal, Has 3 Birth Dates

Why are there many scandals involving top public office holders in Nigeria from year to year? The age of the former executive secretary of the Nigerian University Commission (NUC), Prof Peter Okebukola has become a subject of controversy.

The prof is reportedly involved in age falsification scandal.

Premium Times reports that the Professor of Science Education at the Lagos State University (LASU) has used different birth dates records to manipulate the system in his career. A document obtained by the newspaper showed that Prof Okebukola has three different birth dates.

According to the report, the professor has at different times in his career used February 17, 1949; February 17, 1948; or February 17, 1951, as his birthday.

Despite being aware of the discrepancies in his age, Lagos State University (LASU) has reportedly punished many lecturers for the same offence while condoning Prof Okebukola’s alleged age falsification.

Seriously? South Should Forget 2023 Presidency

Junaid Mohammed, a Second Republic member of House of Representatives has stated that the South should forget 2023 Presidency as the North will present a candidate in the election year.

The former lawmaker claimed that zoning and rotation of power have collapsed and as such any region with the political strength can claim the coveted position.

He also accused Ohanaeze of collecting millions of naira to support Atiku Abubakar’s presidential bid. Speaking with Vincent Kalu, Junaid Mohammed who stated that the South should forget 2023 Presidency, added that the 2019 election had people who were responsible for maintaining law and at the forefront on mangling the election and upturning peoples mandate.

On equity in 2023, he said; "I don’t want to hear about this equity and justice, that is sheer nonsense. The people who abused this equity and justice are the people from the Southeast because whatever we are talking about, in a democracy you cannot circumvent voting figures.

"You can say it is time for my people. We will not vote for you and let’s see what happens. I said it in one of my statements, look at the way the people of the Southeast voted during the last election; they have a humongous collection of votes and they all voted for Atiku, and they expect somebody to come from his own area to vote for them.

"If you want other Nigerians to vote for you, you better look for other Nigerians and make a choice. Maybe, in 2023, Kanu will come and force all Nigerians to vote for them. Democracy is a question of give and take; you vote for me and I vote for you, that was what Michael Okpara used to say. You don’t vote for me and maybe you think that by abusing me on the pages of newspapers that I will vote for you. I will not. If I come back into active politics, it will be because of that. Let us see, for abusing people how they will vote for you.

"Look at Ohanaeze, how they are duping people; they collected millions from Atiku. Let us see 2023, by the grace of God, which candidate they want to produce.

"There are over 232 ethnic groups in Nigeria, how can anybody be a candidate of a group and expect to be voted by the others. You pressmen you have a responsibility to enlighten people. I want to see how they will pick the candidate from Southeast in 2023. Some of us traditionally, we don’t talk too much, but don’t imagine that we will keep quiet and do your own bidding, it will not happen. See what is happening now, we have started the second term of Buhari’s administration, but today, people are scrambling for 2023, and the Yoruba are saying that it is their turn. How it’s their turn, I don’t know.

"We keep on making this mistake of agitation of, ‘it is our turn’ over and over again. After all, somebody says the classical definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome.

"This is what I see happening in Southeast; you don’t vote for anybody, you only vote for who gives money, also those who say they are in APGA; all those who belong to the Igbo faction of PDP. They should think back and think of their own generation of those who are promising and who are educated and who don’t see politics as trading. Politics is not trading; it is a serious matter."

‘No Territory In Nigeria Is Controlled By Boko Haram’, President Buhari At World Economic Forum

President Muhammadu Buhari has said that no territory in Nigeria is controlled by the Boko Haram terrorist group.

The President stated this on Friday at the World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa.

He explained that there has been a significant improvement in the fight against insurgency since his administration came into power.

“We made significant gains in fighting Boko Haram. We have recaptured all territories held by Boko Haram in 2014.


“We have liberated thousands of Nigerians held against their will.

“Today, I am pleased to say no territory in the Federal Republic of Nigeria is held or controlled by Boko Haram”, the President added.

According to him, the Buhari-led administration in the last four years has been focusing on security and the implementation of other inclusive policies.

“In the last four years, we focused on security while implementing inclusive policies”.
