His department had organized a pool party at a hotel in Calabar, and had a swimming competition. Ugbe is said to have drowned during the competition.

Kim Kardashian celebrated President Trump backing prison reform legislation that she lobbied for on Sunday's episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
During the episode titled Fire Escape, the 38-year-old reality star met with Alice Johnson —a former drug trafficker whom she had successfully lobbied President Trump to free back in 2018— to cook a meal together.
Johnson's two sisters joined the Kardashians for the cooking session held at Kendall Jenner's house as fires raged around Kim's home and other family members.

A lieutenant commander of the Nigeria navy, Solomon Derikoma, has been found dead at his Kaduna apartment. He was found dead by his colleagues, yesterday, Sunday May 12th.
It all started when they were expecting Solomon at a place they all agreed to meet before going on a study tour, but Solomon was no where to be found. They kept calling his mobile phone, but it was switched off. Some of his colleagues then decided to go and call him at home. On getting there, they found a padlock on his door suggesting he wasn't at home. But since they couldn’t reach him on phone, they decided to break the padlock.
What they saw however shocked them. His lifeless body was found in the pool of his own blood. A big stone was also seen beside him suggesting he could have been murdered.
His colleagues later called the police who came and took his corpse to the morgue.

The African Action Congress, AAC, today suspended its national chairman and 2019 presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, and nine others over alleged corruption and abuse of office.
The party which said the suspension of Sowore and others was for six months in the first instance, appointed Leonard Nzenwa,as the new national chairman.
Sowore’s suspension was conveyed in a communique read by Mazi Okwy, a member of the party’s National Executive Committee.
The decision of the party, according to the communique, signed by the acting National Chairman, Leonard Nzenwa and the Deputy National Secretary, Abayomi Francis Olufemi, was the resolution of the National Executive Committee of the AAC, at its 2nd National Executive Committee meeting, held 27th March, 2019, in Abuja.
The party, according to the communique, accused Mr Sowore, the publisher of SaharaReporters of “deliberate inability to convene or hold the constitutionally mandated quarterly meetings of the
National Executive Committee and other organs of the party.”
The Nigerian Army has said its troops of 22 Brigade,engaged in Operative Lafiya Dole, in collaboration with local vigilantes, have rescued 54 persons abducted by Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State.
The army, in a statement by its acting spokesman, Col. Sagir Musa, said out of the number, 29 were women while 25 others were children of various ages and sex.
The statement which said the troops’ success was during a clearance operation carried out into the hinterland of the state last Saturday, also said its troops of 145 Battalion, operating at Zari – Kasake and Jumachere villages in Damasak general area of Mobbar Local Government Area of the state, discovered and destroyed two Boko Haram terrorists’ logistics vehicles.
These doting sisters – who turned 83 yesterday – are believed to be Britain’s oldest living triplets.
Margaret, Mary and Muriel Beal were delivered naturally in only 13 minutes in 1936 and have remained close ever since, including in the years they all worked at the same sweet factory.
Identical twins Margaret and Mary still live together – and jokingly describe Muriel as the “odd one out”.
Muriel said: “We’ve always got on very well, although as the oldest Margaret can be bossy and thinks she’s in charge.
“There is definitely a special bond – Mary always seemed to know when I was pregnant before I even did. We would be lost without each other.”
Multiple births were rare in 1936 so it was considered very fortunate all three survived. Margaret was 5lb 10oz, Mary was 4lb 10oz and Muriel was 5lb 8oz.
Their mum Eva, who had three other children, dressed the girls in identical outfits as they grew up.
Their nephew Alan Burley, 60, said: “We call Margaret and Mary ‘M and M’ because Muriel lives away.
“They are all kind-hearted, will help anybody and have good characters.”
The Presidency has said there is no truth in reports that the Federal Government is considering shifting the inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari for second term from May 29 to June 12.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, made the clarification in an interview with a Punch correspondent. He said;
“There is no truth in that report. As a matter of fact, we will soon issue a statement on it to clear the air. The President was inaugurated for his first term in office on May 29, 2015. He ceases to be President on May 29, 2019, if he is not inaugurated for his second term on that day.
“For the avoidance of doubt, there is no plan to shift the President’s inauguration to June 12. The inauguration will hold on May 29. Those claiming that the inauguration will be shifted to June 12 are only trying to cause confusion in the polity. It is not true.”

A prominent Afghan journalist and political adviser has been gunned down in Kabul, just days after she warned on social media that she feared for her life.
Mena Mangal was shot dead on Saturday morning in south-east Kabul. The attack, in broad daylight in a public place, prompted an outpouring of grief and anger from women’s rights activists, directed at authorities who had left her unprotected in the face of threats.
“This woman had already shared that her life was in danger; why did nothing happen? We need answers,” said Wazhma Frogh, an Afghan human rights lawyer and women’s rights campaigner. “Why is it so easy in this society [for men] to keep killing women they disagree with?”
Mangal had shared her fears in a defiant post on Facebook on 3 May. She said she was being sent threatening messages but declared that a strong woman wasn’t afraid of death, and that she loved her country.
Interior ministry spokesman Nasrat Rahimi said unknown attackers had shot Mangal, and a special police unit was now investigating.
In a tearful video posted to Twitter, Mangal’s mother named a group of men as suspected killers, claiming they had previously kidnapped her daughter. The group were arrested for that abduction, she said, but later bribed their way out of detention.
