Photos: Inside the Beckhams' family trip to Miami

The entire Beckham clan have just wound down a week-long stay in Miami (where David is launching Inter Miami CF) with all six of them posing for a sweet family snap on Sunday.

Victoria, David and their four children grouped together for a touching photo, with each of them sharing it onto their own Instagram accounts.

The snap comes after a fun-filled week, in which the kids played in the pool while their parents put on a close display in the water, before taking their brood out for a trip around Florida's Everglades.

Victoria captioned her snap, 'We ❤️ Miami', while David shared the same image along with the words: 'Thank you Miami what a beautiful week, creating special memories & so excited @intermiamicf... So many more to come ⚽️'

Despite audio recording, Donald Trump denies calling Meghan ‘nasty’

US President Donald Trump has denied calling the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, “nasty” despite the comments being recorded.

“I never called Meghan Markle ‘nasty’,” he tweeted on Sunday, adding: “Made up by the Fake News Media, and they got caught cold!”

Mr Trump made his remarks about the duchess in a Sun newspaper interview ahead of his state visit to the UK.

The US former actress has been a vocal critic of Mr Trump.

She supported his Democratic challenger, Hillary Clinton, in the 2016 election and has referred to him as “divisive” and a “misogynist”.

Told of her comments during his interview with the Sun, President Trump said it was the first time he had heard them.

“I didn’t know that. What can I say? I didn’t know that she was nasty,” he said.

He went on to say that he was glad she had joined the royal family and he believed she would make a “very good” princess.

“It is nice, and I am sure she will do excellently,” he said.

On Saturday the Sun had posted an audio recording of the interview on its website.

Following Trump’s denial on Twitter the day after the interview was published, several commentators are now pointing out that the remarks were on tape and needs no denials.

Ibinabo Fibersima speaks up for Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko

Nollywood actress, Ibinabo Fiberesima has taking to her IG to defend newly weds, Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko saying they have made their choice and their decision should be respected. Ibinabo took out time to explain she knows both Ned and Regina individually writing;

HER FIRST POST READS;

I can stake everything on Prince Ned Nwoko's integrity. I know him personally and so I can vouch for him. If he's found happiness in Regina and she's accepted to reciprocate, then I think it's the height of hypocrisy and joblessness to interfere in their lives. Regina is my daughter, I love her and will always be there for her. Rita is my sister and I adore her as a dotting mother. Prince Ned is a big brother and I am deeply inspired by him.

I stand with Prince Ned and Regina Nwoko and their inalienable right to happiness. I say to them Happy Married life. May God bless your union with joy and beautiful children and may He use you both as a source of succour to many Nigerians; amen.
Ibinabo Fiberesima
God bless us all.

SECOND POST READS;

She will not be the first in this scenario and will not be the last and I strongly detest her being made a victim of her success. Regina is not underaged, she is a full fledged professional, an adult under the Nigerian law and is competent to make her own decisions. Majority of those crying blue murder and insulting Prince Ned Nwoko would sacrifice their families to be in Regina's shoes. Finally, the girl doesn’t give two about your opinion, she made her choice and everyone is bound to respect same.

I have known Regina since childhood and have never known a more humble, decent young lady given to high puritan values, discipline and family ethics. Indeed her mother RIta is an example of how a strong black African woman should be. Passionate about her children and willing to give her life to see them succeed along just lines. I never even heard about these bad belle Nigerians when Regina and her mother weathered the storm that is the Nigerian film industry.

THIRD POST READS;

I've listened to various comments, read the opinions, sometimes laced with vitriol and I've come to the conclusion that majority of Nigerians ascribe to themselves this pristine and Olympian moral standing which they believe gives them a divine right to judge others and poke their nose into what ordinarily is none of their business even when stinking skeletons are crying for air in their own wardrobes. How else can one explain the fact that a young adult girl's marriage to a man she loves and has pledged to spend her life with has suddenly become a potent topic of national discourse. The angst people throw concerning this issue would make one believe Prince Ned Nwoko a gentleman in his own right kidnapped, defiled and further coerced 'an underage' Regina Daniels into a sham of a union.

I must say along the line I found most deplorable and downright disappointing the comment of my sister and friend Shan George. Though she deleted it (of course she forgot the Internet and it's complexities) I found her comment rude and frankly ill thought. A person of her stand who should know better going ahead on social media to call out Prince Ned as 'disgusting and shameless' for marrying a 'child' and even questioning what he's done for his people is vindictive and vile. This is the same Prince Ned Munir Nwoko who has been a humanitarian philanthropist per excellence, a father to so many and is a man who has given his life to helping complete strangers all over the country, done so much for his community and Nigeria at large and is still doing so much in every sphere. Shan dear. No. You no try. He deserves an apology from you.

Please, these are questions and facts dearest Shan and our morally upright judges are seemingly oblivious to; Regina has worked extremely hard since childhood to attain her celebrity status and clout and doesn't need a man to keep her comfortable or in the limelight. She met with Ned, saw something she loved about him and 'agreed' to marry him when he 'proposed' to her. She is not a side chic but a fully married woman. Once married, the union officially became nobody's business. She will not be the first in this scenario and will not be the last and

Things or people don't make us feel better, Betty Irabor says in new IG note

Betty Irabor a Nigerian publisher who recently turned 63 this morning wrote on IG about how having material things doesn't make one better except we deal with the cancer within. Betty one once faced depression and even thought of suicide, while encouraging others wrote;

''I was about 12 when I first saw a Rolls Royce. It's owner was a guest of mum. Did I show off on that day? I earned renewed respect in the hood on Akinwunmi street.. well at least for few days! Sigh!! Yesterday I took the liberty of posing by this vintage monster of a ride In Warri. Na pose I pose o, I didn't say it's mine before you people will come for me!!

I remember thinking while in the throes of depression that as soon as my new ride arrived I would feel better. I didn't feel better. And that's how it goes on; when I get married I will feel better, when I am rich I will feel better, when I have children I will feel better, when I get that designer bag I will feel better, when I move into my new house I will feel better.

Truth is, things or people don't make us feel better until we fix the cancer within and own up to the fact that we feel hollow within and need help. We carry around burdens and pains that we need to offload so we can travel light. We cannot fake true happiness, it expires as soon as we are alone and the reality of what we are masking hits us. We can lie to the world about how well we are on the outside but we can't deceive our selves...

Life is about finding joy in little abundance and trusting that our current situation is only a part of our long journey....This present challenge is only a comma in a sentence and not the full stop...

 on what truly counts and live one day at a time. Most of us dont have it all figured out... na packaging...

Don't give up on yourself, believe in endless possibilities and don't focus on what could have been...

This is your time, make it count.''

Anthony Joshua apologizes to friends and supporters for letting them down

Anthony Joshua has been defeated by unfancied Mexican fighter Andy Ruiz Jr in one of the biggest shocks in heavyweight boxing history.

Anthony lost all three of his IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight titles after being stopped in the seventh round in front of a disbelieving 20,000-strong crowd at Madison Square Garden in New York. And now, Anthony is taking all the blame. Speaking shortly after the match, he said;

"Big respect to Andy, big big respect. He's a good fighter. Thank you America. Thank you everyone for coming out this evening. Sorry I let my friends down, sorry I let my supporters down."

He continued; "there's no excuses. It's my own fault. I got caught with a big shot. Congratulations to him. I would have preferred it to be Deontay Wilder, do you know what I mean? But it wasn't. It was Andy Ruiz, and he deserves it, and the fame and fortune he's about to receive.
"I don't want anyone to kind of drown in their sorrows. This is boxing. It's all the same. It just wasn't my night. It was Andy Ruiz's night. You know what? It's good for the TV".

House ownership: Blessing Okoro apologizes again

Instagram blogger, Blessing Okoro has once again apologized to her fans for presenting to them a house which isn’t hers on her 30th birthday. Blessing had posted a photo of the house on instagram saying she built it in celebration of her 30th birthday. Soon after the photo went viral, the real owner, an Igbo business man based in China, Onye Eze debunked the news saying the 7-bedroom mansion belonged to him.

Blessing went on to post a plan of a house, to prove the mansion belongs to her and even posted a photo of herself in her night wear in front of the house to prove it’s hers. At the end of it all, Blessing was apprehended, taking to the house, humiliated and made to confess in a video which has since gone viral.

Though she has apologized to her fans before, she is once again apologizing to them.

She wrote; Hey lovers.. I know it has been crazy lately and I am sincerely sorry.. I take responsibility for everything.. I hate that I had to put my friends and everyone else who looked up to me in this position.. Like everyone else I had goals set up for the year and one of them was to finish my house before my 30th birthday and it was a resolution I had layed out in public but because of certain reasons I couldn't meet up the dead line and that put me under a mental pressure for success.

I was impatient which led to beating myself too hard and I could have done better.. I AM REALLY SORRY I LET YOU ALL DOWN...I know better now.. I know not to go ahead of my victory and have small wins celebration.. Here's to everyone under any sort of pressure.

I had to experience a major meltdown to learn that patience is virtue.. Its only going to take a little time but the lines will eventually fall in pleasant places.. And for the incessant calls and text messages from my loved ones that were terrified seeing me on cuffs I was never arrested or detained and no police officers was associated with the act .it was thier best form of proving a point.

But i am grateful to everyone who stood by me, I hope you still find a place in your heart to forgive ,love me and accept me as the crazy happy girl you have always loved .
Thanks for not giving up on me entirely...

Andy Ruiz Jr. defeats Anthony Joshua to become world heavyweight champion

Anthony Joshua has suffered the first defeat of his professional career in a shock loss to Andy Ruiz Jr at Madison Square Garden.

Making his US debut at one of boxing’s hallowed venues, Joshua was stunned by the unfancied Ruiz, who sent the Briton to the mat four times en route to becoming the new IBF, WBA (Super) and WBO champion in front of a stunned New York crowd.

Ruiz had taken the fight on less than six weeks’ notice following Jarrell Miller’s failed drugs test in what was his second crack at world title gold, having fallen short against Joseph Parker in his only professional defeat.

He was dropped by Joshua early in the third round but responded emphatically, dropping the champion twice with the Olympic champion never truly recovering.

Joshua came forward with another flurry in the seventh round but again, left himself open with Ruiz capitalising magnificently - sending the champion down for the third time in the contest.

Some actresses fight others more beautiful than them – Funmi Awelewa

Pretty actress, Funmi Awelewa, believes physical attractiveness is one of the reasons actresses usually have ‘beef’ with one another. She told Sunday Scoop, “Many actresses envy the lives of others and if they can’t hide it anymore, they start having issues with the person. Physical attractiveness is one of the reasons some actresses ‘beef’ their colleagues, especially in social circles where appearance is highly valued. Some are scared of seeing others shine brighter than them. However, that is just my opinion.”

Lending her thoughts on her colleagues who lead fake lives on social media, Awelewa said, “I believe it’s a matter of choice. Some believe in the saying, ‘fake it till you make it’. Many people are struggling to appear awesome so as to be celebrated. They keep wanting more until they can’t get enough. Some actresses lead fake lives on social media because other people’s opinions matter to them more than theirs.

 As for me, I don’t have that awesome life everybody seems to be having on social media. Mine is a slow and steady game. I believe each day is a struggle to be a better version of myself. Don’t just exist and admire the lives of others while faking and messing up yours. If you’re your authentic self, you have no competition.”

I can still make gospel music – Maheeda

Singer, Maheeda, is called ‘Naija bad girl’ for a reason. Often posting near-nude and sensual pictures on social media, Maheeda does not hide the fact that she has had a rough past. Nurtured by the streets, she started her music career as a secular artiste, before changing to gospel music, and back to secular music.

She also told Sunday Scoop that despite her reputation as a ‘bad girl’, she could still choose to sing gospel music. She said, “It is a part of my life. I might just be in the mood to make gospel music one day. As artistes, we sing about everything and anything. And it’s always good to talk about God’s love, grace and mercies in one’s life. No one is perfect or worthy, and we are all in the world. If I feel like thanking God for everything, I will! If you like, call it ‘gospel’, or say I’m not worthy; that’s not my problem. I will always be sexy and show it off.”

She stated that she took a break from music to have time for her family. “It’s true that I have been away for a long time but I don’t have any regrets. I did it for my family. I am a full-time mum and wife now. If I could go back in time to start my career again, I wouldn’t change anything; I’d just improve on some areas,” she said.
