Nigeria's p*rn queen makes u-turn, says p*rn couldn't give me money and fame as she begs Nigerians for forgiveness

Savage Trap Queen in a chat with Saturday Beats shocked many when she said she has quit acting p*rn. Remember she had boasted about making between N80,000 to N100,000 per role when she features as a p*rn star?

But now she said it's all over and she has embraced a new life. Speaking to Saturday Beats she said,

“I was cheated and assaulted as a p*rn star. I was disrespected, and I wasn’t even paid completely. I don’t think anyone should go into it. I decided to quit when I looked at my life and caution myself. I didn’t know what I was doing. When I was into p*rn, people assumed I was making a lot of money. However, p*rn companies make more money than p*rn stars; they only give them a token. I said to myself that wasn’t the kind of life I wanted to live. I know the society I live in doesn’t accept such immorality. I won’t advise any young Nigerian to venture into it because whether you like it or not, whatever action you take has consequences, either good or bad”.

On how she started her career as a p*rn actress, she said;

“I didn’t plan to be a p*rn star. A friend actually told me about the job. She told me it was a reality TV show and not porn. When I complained to her that some of the faces I saw were the individuals I knew as p*rn stars, she still maintained that it was a reality TV show. However, on getting there, I realised it wasn’t a reality show; it was p*rn. The girls and the first person I worked with were convincing and led me into it. I could have resisted them, but I was foolish. I thought it would fetch me money and fame because I love being in the limelight. I love the celebrity lifestyle,” she said.

On her plans for the future and begging not to be judged, she said;

She stated, “I have embraced a new life and I’m trying hard to penetrate into Nollywood because I want to become an actress. I also love dancing so I can do well as a video vixen or model. I am tired of being judged. I just want to lead a normal and peaceful life, and be happy. I hope Nigerians out there give me another chance so I won’t go hungry or fall into depression again because I have been depressed a couple of times.”

Closure of Lagos-Ibadan expressway postponed

The Federal Government has shifted from 3 August to 2 September , the planned closure for repairs of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The Federal Controller of Works in Lagos State, Mr Adedamola Kuti, made the announcement in Lagos on Friday.

He explained that due to the busy nature of the highway, the Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing had made announcements earlier on the closure, in a bid to reduce stress for commuters.

Kuti added that because the government and the contractor handling the rehabilitation were sensitive to the plight of road users, they decided to shift the construction to Sept. 2 from Aug. 3 scheduled earlier for commencement of work.

“You may wish to know that the road project is an ongoing one and the contractor’s mode of operation is to create diversion as necessary to enable reconstruction work to be carried out at a specific location.

“This has been done on several occasions along the alignment.

“The intended reconstruction and expansion work of the section between Berger Junction and Kara Bridge is designed to follow the same way.

“This location has high volume of traffic and commercial activities, hence an early release of information to the public to intimate them of the planned work.

“The idea is to divert traffic at this location to enable construction work to be carried out.

“To ensure effective traffic management and show sensitivity to Nigerians, the government and the contractors have now reviewed the work plan.

Soldiers allegedly gang-rape AAUA student at checkpoint... and witness says it's not the first time

Some soldiers have allegedly r-ped a female student (name withheld) of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko.

The incident allegedly happened on Wednesday evening at the military checkpoint at Ikare Akoko in Akoko North-East Local Government Area of Ondo State.

According to a source, the soldiers, who were attached to the Ikare Akoko checkpoint, allegedly r-ped the lady, a 300-level student at AAUA, while she was returning from the campus.

The source, who identified one of the soldiers, alleged that the soldiers took turns to s-xually assault the victim.

He said one of the soldiers at the checkpoint allegedly ordered the victim to get down from a vehicle she and others were travelling in, and took her into a cubicle at the back of the checkpoint where the soldiers allegedly forcefully had s-x with her.

A student of the institution who witnessed the incident but who did not want her name in print for fear of intimidation and harassment confirmed the incident.

She said, “We went to Ikare Police Station to report the incident and then rushed her to Ondo State Specialist Hospital, Ikare-Akoko, for examination and treatment.

“As I’m talking to you, she is at the hospital and doctors confirmed that she was r-ped.”

The eyewitness said it was not the first time such a thing would be happening at the military checkpoint in the town.

A Police source at the Ikare Police Station, who confirmed that the incident was reported at the station around 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, said the Police had stepped into the matter.

The source confirmed that the name of a Lance Corporal was mentioned in the statement written by the complainant.

“The matter was reported here, but I  won’t say more on it. When we complete our investigation, it would be sent to the headquarters in Akure,” he stated.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State Command, Mr. Femi Joseph, however, said he was not aware of the incident.

The management of the AAUA said it had commenced investigation into the matter and had constituted a panel of inquiry to examine the allegation.

The Head of Media and Protocol Unit of the university, Mr. Victor Akinpelumi, confirmed that the management of the institution was aware of the incident and had initiated an investigation into it.

Rwanda denies closing border againt Congo DR

Rwanda’s health minister said the border with Democratic Republic of the Congo remained open on Thursday, appearing to contradict an earlier statement that the frontier was closed near the Ebola-hit Congolese city of Goma.

“The border was never closed and it is not closed,” Diane Gashumba told reporters as she sat next to the state minister of foreign affairs, Olivier Nduhungirehe, who earlier said it was shut.

Slowdowns in traffic at the border had been caused by increased screening for Ebola not a shutdown, Gashumba said.

Plane lands on US ROAD after fuel system malfunction

Authorities say a small plane landed on a busy stretch of road in Washington state, stunning drivers but hurting no one.

The Washington State Patrol says the single-propeller KR2 aircraft landed Thursday on the street in the city of Parkland, south of Tacoma.

Trooper Johnna Batiste says the pilot was able to land during a break in traffic after a fuel system malfunction caused the plane to stall. Video shows it stopping just before an intersection.

Driver Dennis Diessner told Seattle TV station KOMO that the plane came so close to his car that he thought he could have reached out and touched it. He says he pulled over to make sure the pilot was OK.

Batiste says a trooper who was nearby helped the pilot push the plane into a parking lot.

Ex-Kwara assemblyman Adebayo docked for land fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has docked a former member of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Muhammed Adebayo on a six-count charge of land fraud.

He was charged on Thursday before Justice Sikiru Oyinloye of the Kwara State High Court,

Count two of the charges reads: “That you, Mohammed Adebayo, sometimes in July 2013 in Ilorin within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court with intent to defraud, obtained the sum of N950,000 (Nine Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) only from one Mary Omowunmi Kolade on the false pretence that three plots of land (situated at Molete, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State) which you sold to her belonged to you, a representation you knew to be false punishable under section 1 of the Advance Fee Fraud and other Fraud Related Offences.”

Adebayo pleaded “not guilty” to the charge.

Counsel for the EFCC, S.T. Ola thereafter, urged to court to fix a date for the commencement of trial.

Defence counsel, M.D. Yusuf, however, moved the bail application of his client.

Justice Oyinlola granted the defendant bail in the sum of N1million with two sureties in like sum.

The case has been adjourned till September 24, 2019 for commencement of trial.
