Chioma's girlfriend is actually pregnant, and she was snapped alongside her pregnant friend. The photo got online and Nigerians did their thing -- someone photoshopped chioma into her friend's body and it trended like her pregnant pics were actually leaked, lol.

This is sad! Roads leading to Lagos from Sango in Ogun State, and those moving to Abule-Egba from Oshodi and other parts of the expressway (Lagos-Abeokuta) have been deserted as Hausa and Yoruba traders clash.

The tribes who sell at the Oke-Odo market are currently fighting each other. What brought about the clash has not been ascertained, but police men are already on ground to calm the situation. More photos below...

Becca praises husband in the sweetest way as they celebrate their first wedding anniversary

Aww! It's Becca and her manager, Tobi Sanni Daniel's first wedding anniversary today, 18th of August, 2019 and Becca has come all out to praise her man and reveal more of him to the world.

According to the Ghanaian singer, when Tobi proposed to her in New York, she had said, mehn... this dude has some confidence while 'mocking' him, today they are man and wife and she is most grateful.

Parents woke up to find three-month-old baby dead after falling into their bed

Devastated parents woke up to find their three-month-old baby dead in their bed after he rolled in from his cot.

An inquest into the boy's death was held at Hull Coroner's Court on Friday where the boy's mum gave an account of what happened on December 4, 2018.

She found her son lifeless, white and not breathing that morning, report Hull Live.

The day before the youngster was diagnosed with a viral upper respiratory tract infection after developing a chesty cough, with doctors telling his parents he would recover in a few days.


That night, the baby’s parents went to sleep around 9.45pm with the tot falling asleep in a cot next to their bed.

However, tragedy struck the following morning when the baby’s mum woke up suddenly to find the little boy in the couple’s bed.

She said: “At 9.45pm we all went to bed. Neither my partner nor I had been drinking and our baby was in a cot next to our bed.

“One of our daughters woke up crying in the night and her crying woke up our other daughter so they both came into our bed.

“My partner gave our baby a bottle and he woke up. He then placed him back in his cot and I woke up suddenly because of light coming in.

“I realised our baby had rolled into our bed. He was white and not breathing and I woke up my partner and told him to ring an ambulance.”

The boy’s father took him downstairs and placed him on a kitchen table before paramedics arrived around 8.30am.

The mother stayed with the couple’s other two children while her partner went in the ambulance with paramedics who administered adrenaline shots and chest compressions in a bid to revive the youngster.

On arrival at Hull Royal Infirmary, doctors made their desperate efforts to bring the baby back to his life but he was pronounced dead at 9.10am on December 4.

Waiter shot dead for being 'too slow with sandwich

A customer fatally shot a waiter at a pizzeria on the outskirts of Paris, apparently enraged at being made to wait for a sandwich, according to witnesses.

 The waiter’s colleagues called police after he was shot in the shoulder with a handgun in the Noisy-le-Grand suburb, 15km east of Paris’s city centre on Friday night.

 Attempts to revive the 28-year-old failed and he died at the scene. The gunman, who a witness said lost his temper “as his sandwich wasn’t prepared quickly enough”, fled the scene. Police have opened a murder investigation.

 With the shooter still on the run on Saturday, shocked residents gathered outside the pizza and sandwich eatery. “He was killed for a sandwich?” one asked, unbelievingly. “It is sad,” said a 29-year-old woman. “It’s a quiet restaurant, without any problems. It just opened a few months ago.”

Woman thought she had kidney stones but gives birth to triplets instead

A new mother has had the shock of her life after she was rushed to hospital for what she thought was kidney stones and ended up giving birth to triplets.

Dannette Glitz, from Sturgis in South Dakota in the US, had no idea she was pregnant as she did not feel any movement and did not experience any morning sickness.

In a post on Facebook , she said: "I started getting pains in my back and in my side and it felt like kidney stones.

"I kept pushing on till Saturday and I was in so much pain all I could do was lie in my bed and cry. It hurt to move and even breath."


Dannette thought she needed urgent surgery to break up the stones and went into hospital on August 10.

But was shocked when the doctor told her she was 34-weeks pregnant.

Initially the doctor thought she was having twins and the third baby even took them by surprise.

Dannette told KOTA-TV: "You don’t ever see triplets being conceived naturally, let alone going 34 weeks without knowing.

Her friend has now set up a fundraising page to help the couple buy supplies for the babies.

A total of £727 has been raised so far .

63 bombed to death at wedding party (photos)

A suicide bomber killed 63 and wounded 182 at a wedding reception in the Afghan capital Kabul last night.

Women and children were among the casualties after the explosion at a west Kabul wedding hall, according to interior ministry spokesman Nasrat Rahimi. 

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast, which went off in the men's reception area of a west Kabul wedding hall - and the Taliban have condemned the blast.

But President Ashraf Ghani said the militants could not escape blame for the 'barbaric' attack.


'The Taliban cannot absolve themselves of blame for they provide platform for terrorists,' he said on Twitter.

Pictures on social media from the scene of the Kabul blast showed bodies strewn amid overturned tables and chairs at the wedding hall, with dark blood stains on the carpet.

And this morning the shoes of the victims have been piled up outside the venue, as relatives and friends of those who died say prayers ahead of their burials.

Professional rugby player Archie Bruce, 20, is found dead in his hotel room

A 20-year-old professional rugby league player has been found dead in his hotel bedroom.

Batley Bulldogs scrum-half Archie Bruce only made his debut for the West Yorkshire club last night against Toulouse.

The team lost 46-0 and it is understood they stayed in the French city overnight for the Betfred Championship match.
 
Club chairman Kevin Nicholas said in a statement: 'Batley Bulldogs are greatly saddened to announce the passing of their player Archie Bruce who was found in his hotel bedroom early this morning having made his debut against Toulouse the previous evening.'

Nigerian man, Samuel Nwankwo jailed in London for swallowing 67 wraps of cocaine

A Nigerian man who swallowed 67 wraps of cocaine before taking a flight from Brazil to London has been jailed for four years.

Samuel Nwankwo, (27), from Eastfield, Peterborough but originally from Nigeria was stopped by Border Police at Terminal 3 London Heathrow as he alighted from a Latam Airlines flight from Sao Paulo on February 11 this year.

Nwankwo had been to the South American country for five days and had no checked baggage with him. He claimed he had been visiting his wife and was short on annual leave.

A body scan at the airport revealed suspicious shapes inside Nwankwo. He was then taken to a hospital for a CT scan where dozens of concealed packages were identified inside him.


Today (Friday, August 16) Nwankwo was jailed for four years at Isleworth Crown Court and the drugs were also ordered to be destroyed. He had previously pleaded guilty to one count of fraudulent evasion on the importation of a prohibited Class A drug.

Cindy Fayefunmi, from the CPS said: “Importing drugs by ingestion is illegal and could lead to lethal consequences. Nwankwo was lucky to be alive after taking such a high quantity of cocaine.

“The CPS takes the trafficking of illegal drugs extremely seriously and will prosecute those who flout drug rules.”

The cocaine found in Nwankwo equated to 67 swallower wraps with the average purity of 77.1 per cent. The estimated value of the amount he had was £82,210.

Gunmen open fire on mourners in Benue, kill four

The Benue Police Command has confirmed the killing of four persons in the early hours of Saturday at a burial in Tongov district of Katsina-Ala Local Government Area.

The commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Mukaddas Garba, on Saturday in Makurdi, said that incident occurred during the burial of one late Tor Amaafu.

Garba said the police had commenced investigation into the matter, assuring that the perpetrators would be brought to book.

He urged the public to assist the police with relevant information that would lead to the culprits’ arrest.

An eyewitness revealed that the gunmen, who numbered over 10, opened fire on the mourners and killed many while others sustained injuries in the process.

Shocking video: IPOB members attack Ike Ekweremadu today in Germany

The immediate past Deputy President of the Senate, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu has confirmed a physical assault on him by some members of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, in Nuremberg, Germany, today.

Ekweremadu confirmed the attack in a statement released by his Media Assistant, Uche Anichukwu.

In the video, Ekweremadu was seen being violently questioned over his alleged conspiracy with the Federal Government to proscribe the IPOB in the South East and killing several of its followers.

The Senator who also gave account of the event on his social media handle, however, assured that he was safe but condemned the attack. Read the statement below...

“I attended the Second Annual Cultural Festival and Convention organised by Ndi-Igbo Germany in Nurnberg today where I was billed to give a keynote address along with the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo, who, however could not make it eventually.

“I was given a resounding welcome by Ndigbo in Germany and everything went smoothly until some men, who identified themselves as IPOB members stormed the venue and began to complain about the killings in the South East, stressing that there would be no Igbo event at the venue.

“I tried to engage them, but when they became unruly, I had to leave the venue. The organisers also invited the police and I was accompanied out of the venue.

“Much as I am disappointed in their conduct, especially as I am one of the persons, who have spoken up on justice for Ndigbo, the Python Dance, judicial killings in Igbo land and elsewhere both on the floor of the Senate and in my written and personal engagements with the Presidency and the media as well as rallied the South East Senate Caucus to secure Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s release with Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe taking him on bail to douse tension in the South East, I nevertheless do not hold this to heart against them, for they know not what they do.

“I have received thousands of solidarity calls and messages from well meaning Ndigbo. I want to assure them that I am hail and hearty. I have also spoken with the Nigerian Ambassador to Germany, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar.”

Ghanaian footballer, Kingsley Sarfo jailed in Sweden for rape is released (photos)

Ghana footballer Kingsley Sarfo has been released from prison in Sweden. He was released earlier than expected and has been deported to his home country, Ghana.

The 24-year-old was released early this week on the ground of good conduct following his incarceration over a r-pe accusation which he denies.

He was jailed for two years and eight months in the European country for two child rape counts.

Sarfo had been in prison after he was charged with defilement in Sweden months earlier and all was taken into consideration for his early release.


He was immediately released from custody and deported to Ghana where he is planning to restart his career.

The midfielder, who took Sweden by storm with his speed and great dribbling ability, is the second Ghanaian player to be jailed in the European country following the ordeal of Kwame Bonsu.
