Ed Sheeran reveals he'll be taking an 'extended break' from music to spend time with wife

He has been touring the world for the last two years. And Ed Sheeran reportedly revealed that he will be taking an 'extended break' at his fourth and final homecoming show on Monday in Chantry Park, Ipswich, following the end of his record-breaking Divide tour.

The Shape Of You hitmaker, 28, is said to be taking a short hiatus from music in order to spend time with his wife Cherry Seaborn, who he married in December 2018.

Ed reportedly said at his final show on Monday night, after turning his hometown into a massive festival venue: 'As you may or not know, I’ve been on the Divide tour for over two years now and this is the last day of the whole thing.'


'There is something very bittersweet about it. I love that you guys are here and we are ending it in Ipswich. This is my last gig for probably 18 months,' The Sun reports.

Flashes from smartphone selfies could be giving you wrinkles, scientists claim

If you love a good selfie , you might want to consider turning the flash on your smartphone off.

A new study has warned that flashes from smartphone selfies could be giving you wrinkles.

Researchers from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences have discovered that flashes from LEDs - which are used in most smartphones - can affect the skin’s ability to repair itself, leading to early ageing.

Based on the findings, the researchers are urging smartphone manufactures to use Xenon rather than LEDs.


Dr Najmeh Arjmandi, who led the study, said: “Frequent exposure to visible light spectrum of the selfie flashes may cause skin damage and accelerated skin ageing.

“Although, there are numerous advantages for the use of LEDs over Xenon flashes, the peak spectral intensity of LEDs lies in the blue region.

“Current data show that exposure to blue light can lead to different levels of damage in human eyes and skin.

“Changing the spectral output of LED-based smartphones’ flashes can be introduced as an effective method for reducing the adverse health effects associated with exposure to blue light.”

In the study, the researchers looked at the effect of selfie flashes on the skin.

They found that UV rays emitted by selfie flashes cause reactive oxygen species, which destabilise skin cell molecules, and lead to the formation of wrinkles.

However, this effect is only seen when the smartphone is held up to the face, and not when it’s on a tripod.

I’ve lost my manhood, I can’t make love again, Kidnap kingpin Wadume says

Suspected kidnap kingpin, Hamisu Bala popularly known as Wadume, has claimed he can no longer have s.e.x, having lost his manhood in the incident in which three policemen and a civilian were allegedly killed by soldiers.

The suspected kidnapper is undergoing interrogation since he was re-arrested in Kano by police detectives.

A source told The Nation that “Wadume is giving a lot of information, and most of his revelations are true. But as a criminal, some of his information are half-truth.”


It was gathered that some of his starting revelations might have affected and delayed submission of the report of the probe panel constituted by the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen. Abayomi Olonisakin, on the prompting of the president.

Wadume said although the soldiers were out to rescue him from operatives of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) that arrested him in Ibi on August 7 at about 6pm, one of the bullets they rained on the bus conveying them had injured his scrotum.

He added that he has observed that his p.e.n.is no longer erects.

Wadume, 34, has four wives and four children with two of the wives.

“The other two are yet to conceive,” he said.

He narrated: “I was arrested by the police in Ibi on August 7. The police said I am a kidnapper and they handcuffed my hands and legs.

“On our way, we passed through an army checkpoint and after identification, they allowed us to go. We passed the second checkpoint which had mobile policemen and they also allowed us to pass.

“At the third checkpoint, we wasted a little time but they allowed us to go after the policemen told them they were detectives on assignment.

“Five minutes after we left that point, an army patrol vehicle started shooting at us. Our vehicle got hit, summersaulted severally times and crashed.

“When the bus stopped, all of us came out alive, except for bullet wounds. A bullet hit part of my scrotum.

“When I ran to my uncle in Kano state, he called a doctor to treat the bullet wound that affected my private part.

“It is possible, I cannot use it (manhood) again because of the damage and I have discovered that when I wake up in the morning these days, I no longer have erection.”

Wendy Williams confirms her estranged husband indeed welcomed a child, as she makes it clear she is out for good

Wendy Williams has confirmed her estranged husband Kevin Hunter has fathered a child with another woman.

During an interview with The New York Times Magazine, the TV host claimed that her husband of 21 years had a daughter with massage therapist Sharina Hudson.

'I never thought that I would be in this position. I’m a very forgiving person, but there’s one thing that I could never be a part of, and that one thing happened,' Williams explained in the interview.




When asked what that 'one thing' is, Williams exclaimed: 'Kevin has a daughter.'

'Kevin had a major indiscretion that he will have to deal with for the rest of his life. An indiscretion that I will not deal with,' she added.

The pair share a 19-year-old son which is one of the reasons Williams will have Hunter in her life.

'He will always be my family, because we have a 19-year-old son, and we were together for 25 years and married for 21. But there was no vacillating. I’m out.'

Nigeria’s Helen ‘Iron Lady’ Joseph is set for action against Martina Horgasx from Hungary on Thursday in her bumpy return to professional boxing.

The Super-Bantamweight fight, holding at the Foxwoods Resort, Mashantucket, Connecticut, United States, is the second for the 30-year-old after a one-year competition drought occasioned by lack of sponsorship.

French Montana's security guard arrested over a sucker punch and the rapper is caught in between

He gave a powerful speech on behalf of immigrants on the VMA stage while presenting Best Latin Video on Monday evening.

But things weren't all that smooth for French Montana following the event with his bad streak of luck continuing into Tuesday morning.

The 34-year-old artist was caught in the middle of an arrest involving his security at a club before losing it in public at his team hours later over an alleged sucker punch.


French was at the Avenue nightclub in New York alongside 2 Chainz, ASAP Ferg and DJ Khaled on Monday following the VMAs in New Jersey.

And while the artists appeared to be all in high spirits while putting on a show in the club, things turned south at around 2:30 am on Tuesday, when one person from French's team got into trouble. 

According to sources, a security member was arrested for what was believed to be 'unlawful possession.' It has not been reported what category of unlawful possession it was.

But relax, he's going to no jail, this is not SWEDEN!
