A Coalition of Civil Society Groups on Monday, protested at the United Kingdom High Commission in Abuja over the court judgment granted to Process and Industrial Development Ltd to take over $9.6bn worth of Nigeria’s asset.
Various placards with inscription such “$9.6bn judgement is a fraud,” “No to illegal take over of our national assets,” “Nigeria rejects fraudulent judgment from British judge,” among others were carried.
The protesters vow to continue the action for the next one week until the judgement is reversed.

Oh dear! An auto dealer, MJ Autos has called Bobrisky out over a fake surprise he had wanted to pull on his 28th birthday. Bob was going to present a range rover he is yet to fully pay for to himself as a surprise gift from bae, but that stunt failed when the police sealed up his birthday venue.
As if that was not enough. The auto dealer and his agent had to write police series of letters before the SUV which was already parked at the venue of the party was let out.

A millionaire model agency boss thought to have vital evidence about the Jeffrey Epstein s-x scandal has vanished.

French prosecutors have opened their own inquiry into the crimes of American financier Epstein, 66.
The convicted paedophile, a friend of Prince Andrew, committed suicide in jail on August 10 while awaiting trial on child sex trafficking charges.
Brunel, who helped found the New York model agency MC2 and is credited with finding supermodels such as Christy Turlington, has strenuously denied any wrongdoing.
It was claimed Russian ex-model Svetlana Pozhidaeva, who was signed to MC2, was pictured at Epstein’s New York mansion in 2010.
Ms Pozhidaeva, the daughter of a Lieutenant Colonel in the Red Army, has denied it is her in the photo.
A day before it was taken, Prince Andrew was photographed standing in the doorway of Epstein’s home.
One of Epstein’s victims, Virginia Roberts, has alleged she slept with the Duke of York three times, which he has strongly denied.
He has also denied knowing anything about Epstein’s illegal activities.

Two women in hijabs suffered a string of injuries including suspected broken ribs and internal bleeding during a racist attack on the London Tube.
The horror assault happened during the evening rush hour at North Ealing station.
British Transport Police (BTP) are investigating after the two victims, one in her 60s and the other in her 30s, were seriously injured.
The women were racially abused before the attacker lashed out.
Both had to be taken to hospital after the incident.
Investigators have released a CCTV image of a woman they believe could help with their enquiries.
In a statement, police said: "The incident happened at 5.30pm on August 23.
"Two women, aged in their 60s and 30s, are reported to have made verbally abused for wearing hijabs.
"They were then attacked. Both were taken to hospital with the older victim suffering possible broken ribs and the younger suffering a black eye, bruising and internal bleeding."
The statement ended adding for public help to get the attacker.
Thousands of Hong Kong university and school students swapped classes for democracy demonstrations on Monday, the latest act of defiance in an anti-government movement that has plunged the Chinese-ruled city into its biggest political crisis in decades.
The boycott follows a weekend marred by some of the worst violence since unrest escalated more than three months ago, with protesters burning barricades and throwing petrol bombs, and police retaliating with water cannon, tear gas and batons.
Riot police on Monday patrolled the subway, known as the MTR, where some of the most violent clashes have erupted.
Hundreds of students gathered outside the Chinese University of Hong Kong, one of the city’s largest, taking turns to make speeches from a stage with a black backdrop embossed with “Students in Unity Boycott for our City”.
“I come here just to tell others that even after summer holidays end we are not back to our normal life, we should continue to fight for Hong Kong,” said one 19-year old student who asked to be identified as just Chan.
“These protests awaken me to care more about the society and care for the voiceless.”

Team Nigeria arrived in Abuja to a rousing welcome on Sunday after finishing second overall at the just-concluded 12th African Games in Rabat, Morocco.
The team arrived on Sunday evening via a chartered flight.
The Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, and other officials were on hand at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport to welcome the athletes and officials.
Dare commended the contingent for representing the country well and promised them better welfare and preparations for future international competitions.
Team Nigeria capped a memorable outing in Morocco with a second-place finish, behind defending champions Egypt.
Egypt emerged tops on the medals table with 99 gold, 96 silver and 69 bronze medals, while Nigeria won a total of 121 medals.
South Africa, Algeria and hosts Morocco complete the top five respectively, after 15 days of sports activities in the North African country.
The 12th African Games took place from Aug. 19 to Aug. 31.
Ghana is scheduled to host the next edition in 2023.
A portion of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway will be shut today for reconstruction, signalling a harrowing traffic experience for travellers between the two cities.
Last week, the Federal Government warned motorists to plan an alternative their route to avoid being trapped in traffic.
The failed portion of the road earmarked for repairs, would have been shut earlier in August, but it was postponed because of the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s convention.
The failed portion of about 600 metres stretching from the Kara Cattle Market end inward Berger Bus Stop would be completed by the second week of December.
Director of Highways, South West Federal Ministry of Works, Mr Funso Adebiyi, said last week that the target was to complete that critical portion of the road before Christmas when more people would be travelling.
According to him, by December 15, the road would be opened substantially for the Yuletide season to avoid traffic jam.
He assured that the reconstruction would not suffer any financial hiccup as funds for the project was already domiciled with the Nigerian Sovereign Investment Agency (NSIA), adding that approval for release of such funds, rests with the President.

Actor-comedian Kevin Hart and two others have been involved in a car crash in Calabasas, California. This happened on Sunday.
Hart and the driver, Jared Black, sustained "major back injuries" and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Black was driving Hart's 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, according to the report, when he lost control of the vehicle. It went off the road and rolled down an embankment.
Patrol officers have said Black was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision. The third occupant did not suffer any substantial injuries.
Hart bought the Plymouth back in July as a 40th birthday gift to himself.
Former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and his sons, Seni and Niyi were at the Emirates Stadium, London on Sunday to watch the match between Arsenal and Tottenham.
Saraki wrote on his twitter account before the match thus: “Just getting to the Emirates stadium to watch the NLD (Arsenal vs Tottenham) with my sons, Seni and Niyi.

Bobrisky has given up about having to celebrate his 28th birthday. The entertainer who was stopped from having his birthday on Saturday, August 31st by the Nigerian Police has now agreed to give out the birthday cakes. He made a post saying any couple getting married this weekend can come and have it.

Works and housing minister Babatunde Fashola has alerted members of the public to a fake Facebook account opened in his name and warned people against falling prey to the antics of the scammers behind it.
Fashola, in a statement by Mr Hakeen Bello, his Special Adviser on Communications, said that the fake account, which had his name and picture, was opened by dupes and scammers.
“The minister has, on several occasions in the past, disclaimed such fake accounts,” the statement said and reiterated that Fashola’s verified Facebook account remained @BABATUNDEFASHOLA.
It said that the latest fake account set up in the former Lagos State Governor’s name claimed that the Federal Government was giving out the sum of N700,000 to youths and young adults to enable them pay school fees, set up businesses and invest in businesses, among others.
Part of the publication written in very poor English by the scammers read:
“All the Nigeria Citozings of All the and Local Government in Nigeria Are Beneficiary of the Federal Government Money Enpwoerment to Empower the Youth to Pay There School.
“Adult to do Business Etc. Contact Number 08035339533). Good News…To All Nigeria Youth and Adult… Federal Government is Giving Out N700,000 Free Cash Transfer To All To Empower the Youth Further Their Educations, Open Good Business and Learn Good Works.
“Call Mr Adebayo Kola, the Federal Government Cashier on 09035339533. All the Nigerian Citizens of All the States and Local Governments …” Bello said.
Bello quoted the minister as describing the activities of the scammers as “unfortunate”, wondering why people still fall prey to the scammers “in spite of repeated warnings and disclaimers”.
The statement said that the warning became necessary in view of the increasing activities of the scammers.
It was like a scene in a home movie, during a wedding ceremony on Saturday, in Benin City, Edo State, when a woman walked to the church altar, seized the microphone from the pastor, accused the groom of dumping her for his new bride, and demanded that the wedding ceremony be stopped immediately.
The dramatic scene occurred at the International Pentecostal Holiness Church, Benin City, during the wedding ceremony between a man simply identified as Dele and his bride whose name was given as Blessing, said to be a caterer by profession.
The enraged woman whose identity could not be ascertained, was said to have learnt about the wedding ceremony via a Facebook post by an unidentified user before the traditional and court wedding ceremonies were held.
It was gathered that the angry woman had stormed the church with some hefty-looking men, in an Audi car at about 6.30am, and waited patiently till the wedding ceremony began at 12 pm.
Trouble started when the officiating pastor asked the congregation if anyone knew of any reason for why the couple should not be joined as husband and wife.
At the point when the ring bearer was about handling the ring box to the groom, the self-acclaimed jilted lover matched to the altar, seized the microphone from the pastor and shouted “no! no! this wedding will not hold.”
The shocked pastor was said to have repeated the announcement for the second time, and the light-complexion woman again answered “no” in a thunderous voice, to the bewilderment of the entire congregation.
She further narrated how the groom proposed to marry her in 2017, after a courtship that lasted for seven years, but that the relationship did not produce any child.
The enraged woman told the congregation that she entered into a covenant with Dele before the church altar where he worshiped.
According to her, “He (Dele) no longer picked my calls. He abandoned me. Why? What did I do to you?”
The new bride who watched helplessly as her joy and hope faded, collapsed on her seat, while Dele, who was clad in a cream-coloured suit on black trousers and a pair of glasses, broke down in tears.
Turmoil pervaded the entire neighborhood, following the suspension of the wedding ceremony by the officiating pastor.
Some of the invitees accused the presiding pastor of failing to carryout a background check on the couple, whereas others blamed the unfortunate incident on the sexual recklessness of the groom.
A member of the church who did not want to be named, claimed that the groom was sighted at the birthday celebration of his ex-lover just few weeks ago.
She added that tears were seen on Dele’s eyes even before the commencement of the wedding ceremony.
According to her, “The best man who was highly embarrassed by his action, urged him to calm down while he used a white handkerchief to wipe away his tears.
“Dele attended her birthday few weeks ago. It will surprise you to know that Dele was still going to see that girl at home. Why will you do such such thing when your wedding is around the corner?” She queried.
Two hours after the incident, the officiating pastor was allegedly given another directive by the authorities of the church to join the couple who later arrived in a grey-coloured SUV, in holy matrimony.
Asari Dokubo, leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Salvation Force (NDPSF), has accused Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers, of lying about the demolition of a mosque in the state.
Asari said he and his family worship at the mosque located at Trans-Amadi in Port Harcourt, and that the property was legally acquired.
The governor had denied demolishing the mosque, saying there was no building on the site at the time of the clearance exercise.
“It is most unfortunate that fickle minded persons will claim that a mosque was demolished at this place, when no mosque existed here. The story was concocted by mischief makers to score cheap points,” he said.
But Asari said Wike is lying, and asked why he carried out a demolition exercise on the site if there was no mosque in the location. He also said many Rivers citizens are members of the Trans-Amadi mosque congregation.
”I have been down for eight days which makes it difficult for me to talk on the issues that are trending now; one of the issues is concerning the dastardly act carried out by the governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike, in demolishing my mosque,” he said.
”I am a member of the congregation of the Trans-Amadi central mosque. That is where I pray with my family. I, alone, have 21 children and I live with 59 other children. They are on holiday. The bulk of them pray. Fortunately, they are in my village, Ogbama with me.
”The debate continues to drag on. Wike claiming there was no mosque; I will say that is a lie. He is lying. And you know, Wike you are lying. if there is no mosque why did you go there? We legally acquired the land for the mosque like other groups there. we acquired it from Dr Sotonye Amadi; a christian group acquired part of that land and they have built their churches, why did you and your brother, Rotimi Amaechi single out our mosque to demolish and to prevent us from building?
”The person who acquired the land for the mosque is an Ijaw man, an Okrika, Ijaw man. This land was acquired legally. Why is this mosque a problem to you?
”Rivers state members are active members of that mosque. What offence have we committed against our motherland that you will dictate to us what religion to follow. There are some of you that are Ogboni members; has Ogboni any relationship with Rivers state? you used our money to build a Christian interdenominational centre.
”There is nothing you can do to stop us from being Muslims. You take our money to sponsor Tambuwal. You say you are the governor of all Rivers people; you should examine yourself. You take on weak opponents, but bow before the enemy.
”We are Rivers Muslims. There is nothing you can do about it. You will look at us and get a heart-attack. In the next three years you will be out of government house.
”And people are praising you because you said Rivers state is a Christian state. It will never be a Christian state. You not even a Christian. I don”t now which of you is a Christian.
More than 100 people have died in Yemen after the Saudi-led coalition launched a series of air strikes on a detention centre, according to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
The ICRC said that at least 40 survivors were being treated after the attack on Sunday in the city of Dhamar.
Local residents reported hearing six air strikes during the night.
The Saudi-led coalition, which backs Yemen’s government, said its attack destroyed a drone and missile site.
The Iran-aligned Houthi rebel movement, which is fighting in opposition to the government and Saudi-led coalition, said the strikes had hit a facility it was using as a prison. The ICRC said it had visited detainees at the location before.
Franz Rauchenstein, the head of delegation for the ICRC in Yemen, said the organisation was collecting bodies from the site and described the chances of finding more survivors as “very low”.
