Africans are confused about s*x – Lorraine Lionheart

Curvy Botswana singer, Lorraine Lionheart, who has performed at different parts of the country, has shared her opinion on how Africans perceive s3x.

Commenting on the notion some people have that Africans are hypocritical when it comes to s3x, she told Saturday Beats,

“I wouldn’t say (Africans are) hypocritical (about s3x). S3x education in Africa is usually limited to biology classes in secondary school and most of us just dive in to the unknown as we grow. As a result of that, the way we express our knowledge and understanding of s3x is to a point forgivable.

Our views about it are so confused and conflicted and it’s because of our struggles to find the balance between cultural or traditional ways and the modern (western) ways. Religion doesn’t help us much when it comes to s3x education.  It even adds more drama to our perspective.”

New Minister, Akpabio stops employment in NDDC

The Federal Government has ordered the suspension of any employment exercise in the Niger Delta Development Commission with immediate effect.

The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio who issued the order, also directed the suspension of handing over of appointment letters, documentation and all other processes connected to employment into the NDDC.

A statement issued on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Anietie Ekong, said Akpabio gave the directive in a letter issued by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Didi Walson-Jack, to the Acting Managing Director of the NDDC, Dr. Akwagaga Enyia.

He said, “According to the Ministerial directive, the commission’s payroll should not accommodate any new employees and should revert to the status quo as at August 31, 2019, while he should be furnished within three days with a detailed report of any employment exercise being undertaken by the Commission.

“The letter said the suspension exercise is to subsist until a due process evaluation of the purported exercise is carried out by the Ministry in consultation with the two NDDC Committees of the National Assembly and sought prompt action of the Acting Managing Director on the matter.”

Rosy Meurer calls out filmmaker Chukwuma Innocent

Nollywood actress, Rosy Meurer, has called out a movie producer, Ideh Chukwuma Innocent for allegedly duping her during the production of her movie. In a lengthy post on instagram, the actress called out the producer warning him not to let it get more messier than this.

" I gave IDEH CHUKWUMA INNOCENT AKA ONESOUL my money to produce for me, he seemed very professional and focused. The way he spoke to me and all the lies he told me made me feel comfortable enough to trust everything into his hands.

''I let him pick the cast, let him use his team, he literally did all the arrangements and I was just like an actor in his film. I didn’t get involved much or question his decisions. He negotiated and paid the cast and crew, I didn’t get involved in that either. I don’t know how much he paid anyone, I was kind enough to make it flexible enough for him to still be able to cut and chop from wherever if he needed to.

''All I did was trust my money and my production into his hands and I expected him to deliver in the end. Okay now, production is over. What’s up? I don’t have my master copy, I don’t have my capital, I don’t have my profit yet everyday my lovely fans, friends and family send me clips excited that they are watching a movie I’m in, only to see that it is MY OWN MOVIE. Zero money. WHY? This year should be almost 3 years since I’ve been begging this nitwit to pay me what he owes me. If his car didn’t break down, the ATM stopped working when it was his turn or they have not paid him.

''All these platforms I see my movie on, he says 2years counting they all have not paid him. He has been doing empowerment, traveling, doing films, bought a car and so many other things. He sleeps very well at night. Have I not tried?? Has he not killed my experience and dreams to produce movies often. I heard after falling victim that this is who he is, this is what he does and how he survives. SCAM!!!! Nigguh pay me my money! I am not going to take it likely with you. Don’t let it get to a situation where it will be above my power. Please let me know my payment plan! To all my lovely insta fam, producers, directors, actors, film makers, my Nollywood family I beg please help me beg @thisisonesoul to pay me what he owes for peace to reign. #enoughisenough #paymewhatyouoweme #scamproducer #wickedman #shameonyou"

Lovely photos of couple who got married years after they served as little bride and page boy at a wedding

Couple who served as page boy and little bride at a wedding has ended up becoming husband and wife. The bride shared the photos on her Instagram page writing;

''My #flashbackfriday puts forth the story of my life.... who would have known that this would happen.
From being little bride and groom, from being just family friends, from being the only older person I knew to help me with the kids that would bully me in primary school, we're now husband and wife.

My parents and hubby's were friends long before I existed this had nothing to do with an arranged marriage, because we became an item officially 2 years ago because I and my family relocated and we lost contact till 2013, thanks to FB and BBM. Just look at my dad carrying my husband in his arms not knowing he'd become his son inlaw 27 years l8r. Jehovah was definitely involved and were indeed grateful''.

Father of dying quadruplet begs Governor Obiano, others for help

Christopher Okoye-Ifemma, a businessman from Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State who recently had a set of quadruplets has appealed to Governor Willie Obiano and his Wife for assistance to save the lives of his dying children.

Okoye-Ifemma, 54, said the hospital management told him that N1.5m was required to keep alive each of the children on life support, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

He said although the babies had brought joy to him and his wife after waiting for 13 years without a child, keeping them alive at the hospital had been difficult.

He said, “My wife was delivered of quadruplets, including three males and one female on September 25, through Cesarean Section at ObiJackson Women and Children Hospital at Okija.

“These children have been in the incubator because they were born at seven months old, with two on life support and the other two stable.

“So far, I have spent over N 700,000. To be specific, N480, 000 was paid to the hospital’s account for drugs and hospital services and about N200, 000 for other bills. On Monday, one of the children on life support died, the remaining three are in a critical condition. The hospital management said if I do not pay substantial amount of money by this weekend, they will take them off the incubator.

“I appeal to Gov. Willie Obiano and his wife, the Commissioner for Health and well-meaning individuals to come to our aid.”

Shame of being r.a.p.e.d led us to baby factories –Rescued pregnant teenagers

Three pregnant teenagers among those rescued from baby factories in the Ikotun and Abaranje areas of Lagos said the shame of carrying babies born after r.a.p.e incidents led them to the state.

The teenagers, Joy, 15, Happiness, 17 and Favour, 17, were part of the 19 pregnant persons and four children rescued recently from baby factories in the communities.

The locations, according to the police, are Adisa Street, Ikotun; Owosho Street, Governor Road, Ikotun; Olugbeyohun Street, Olakunle bus stop, Abaranje; and Anomo Street, Abaranje.

Men from the Isheri Osun Police Station were said to have stormed the buildings on September 19, and arrested two suspects, a “nurse” and “caregiver” while their ringleader, one Oluchi, is still at large.

Narrating the events leading to her stay in the clandestine home, Happiness told City Round that she was gang-raped by three young men at a bar in Awka, Anambra State, where she worked as an attendant.

She stated that her boss gave her concoctions to abort the pregnancy to no avail and sent her back to her village in Agwata .

The teenager said she was ashamed to return to her parents with pregnancy, especially when she could not tell who was responsible for it.

While she was looking for where she could stay till she was delivered of the baby, Happiness, who is now seven months pregnant, said a woman called Mama Dada linked her up with Oluchi.

She said, “Mama Dada brought me to Lagos on August 17. She told me a woman takes care of pregnant women and she assured me that the woman would take care of me. I was raped at a bar by three boys. One of them is called Rich. They ran away.

“On the day I was r.a.p.e.d, my friend asked me to drink with them. I told them I don’t take alcohol. They persuaded me and after taking it, I slept off. I woke up and found out they had pulled off my clothes and raped me.

“I told my boss and she informed her husband. They gave me some concoctions to abort the pregnancy, but it didn’t work. My parents are in the village. They are farmers. My mother warned me while I was leaving the village not to come back home with pregnancy.

“I am ashamed of myself. I don’t know who the pregnancy belongs to among the three men. Mama Dada did not tell me the woman (Oluchi) would sell the baby.”

Joy, 15, from Akwa Ibom State, looked tired and depressed. Her pregnancy, which is in the eighth month, outweighs her fragile posture. She appeared dishevelled and could hardly coordinate her thoughts.

“It was a boy called John that impregnated me. He raped me. One aunty brought me to Lagos. I don’t remember her name. They promised to give me N300,000 after I gave birth. Since I got there, I took garri in the morning,” she disclosed, trying to wipe off the sweat on her face.

“I am not happy with this condition. I am too young to be pregnant. I want to go back to school,” she added. She kept mum when asked about her parents.

Favour, a 17-year-old girl from Mbaise in Imo State, explained that she was raped by her cousin, one Emeka, which resulted in the pregnancy, adding that her uncle handed her over to Oluchi.

She said, “It was my cousin who raped me. I went to visit my uncle that day but he was not around. I met only Emeka at home. He started touching me and before I knew it, he dragged me to the floor and r.a.p.e.d me. My uncle asked me to follow Madam Oluchi to Lagos because of the shame.”

She claimed that the agreement she had with Oluchi was that the baby would be given out for adoption, adding that she was not aware of the plan to sell the baby.

Another victim, Maureen Gift, 20, from Omagwa, Rivers State, said she agreed to stay with Oluchi in Lagos because her boyfriend rejected the pregnancy and her parents chased her away.

She stated, “My boyfriend was maltreating me. He said he didn’t need the baby. He sent me away and I went back to my parents’ home. I went back to appeal to him. He asked me to go away and threatened to kill me.

“When my mother started mounting pressure on me to leave, I became confused. I met with a midwife who introduced me to her brother in Lagos. The man came to Rivers and we left for Lagos. My plan was that after giving birth, I would find something to do in Lagos. I didn’t know they wanted to sell my baby when I gave birth.”

But a 25-year-old woman, who gave her name only as Kelechi, was fully aware of her mission in Lagos. She had decided to sell her baby for N200,000 upon delivery because her boyfriend denied responsibility for the pregnancy.

Another pregnant woman, Ana Oma from Rivers State, said, “Madam Oluchi promised me N500, 000 if the baby is a boy and N300, 000 if it is a girl. I agreed. But some days after, I started having bad dreams. I told the caregiver living with us to give me money to go back but she ignored me.”

One of the two suspects arrested, Mrs Sherifat Ipaye, a self-acclaimed nurse, denied knowing Oluchi. The secondary school leaver said she was engaged by the caregiver, Mrs Happiness Ukwuoma, claiming that she was not aware the babies were being sold.

She said, “I am a nurse. I learnt it from one of my brothers who has a hospital in Ketu and later I worked at a hospital on Ijegun Road. Madam Happiness called me sometime in July that she had some pregnant women she would bring for me to help deliver of their babies. I said I would collect N20, 000 per delivery but we negotiated and agreed on N15, 000.

“She had brought three women so far. They only spent a day in my house. Once they gave birth, she would come for the mother and the baby, but I don’t know where she took them to. She just gave me money for one job. She still owes me N30, 000. I was handling the fourth one when policemen came and arrested me. I knew what I did is illegal. All I want is forgiveness.”

Ukwuoma, who was in charge of a two-bedroom apartment used for one of the baby factories in Ikotun, said Oluchi placed her on a monthly salary of N20,000, adding that she had handed over three babies to her so far.

She said, “I am from Orlu in Imo State. I am only taking care of the pregnant women at the apartment she (Oluchi) rented in Ikotun. I started working for her in June and she paid me N20, 000 every month. Nine pregnant women were with me when the police came. Since we have been working together, three pregnant women had given birth.

“She took the babies away and paid their mothers. I don’t know how much she gave them. It was through my husband that I knew her. He was a commercial driver and Oluchi once boarded his bus from Imo to Lagos.”

Handing the victims over to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Bala Elkana, said the command was closing in on the prime suspect and other members of the syndicate.

NAPTIP Zonal Commander in Lagos, Mr Daniel Atokolo, said the victims would be rehabilitated and profiled to get more facts on the case.

He said, “We will profile them to know those behind the trafficking otherwise it will continue to be a vicious circle. Those who have good news for us may not go immediately because we need them in our investigation and at the point of prosecution as witnesses.”

Oscar-Nominated actress, Diahann Carroll dies at 84

Diahann Carroll, the Oscar-nominated actor and singer who won critical acclaim as the first black woman to star in a non-servant lead role in a TV series as Julia, has died. She was 84.

Carroll’s daughter, Susan Kay, told the Associated Press her mother died on Friday in Los Angeles of cancer. During her long career, Carroll earned a Tony award for the musical No Strings and an Academy Award nomination for Claudine.

But she was perhaps best known for her pioneering work on Julia. Carroll played Julia Baker, a nurse whose husband had been killed in Vietnam, in the groundbreaking situation comedy that aired from 1968 to 1971.

Although she was not the first black woman to star in her own TV show (Ethel Waters played a maid in the 1950s series Beulah), she was the first to star as someone other than a servant. NBC executives were wary about putting Julia on the network during the racial unrest of the 1960s, but it was an immediate hit.

Pictured! Man disguises as prostitute, defrauds patrons at Lagos clubs

Luck has run out on a 29-year-old man, Victor Monday, one year after he started disguising as a prostitute to defraud men.

Monday was arrested by a police team from the Mushin Police Station around 12am on Ogunmokun Street while he was in female costume waiting for “a client” by the roadside.

He was initially apprehended for staying late outside without giving any genuine reason.

City Round learnt that it was not immediately known to the policemen that Monday, who adopted the name Joy to perpetrate the crime, is not a female.

He wore a wig, makeup and put on padded breasts. He was said to have been kept in the female cell until much later in the morning when a policeman on an inspection around the cell spotted him.

The cop reportedly noticed he had few strands of beards which aroused his suspicion.  His real appearance was unravalled by the officer who searched through his body.

A police source told Punch correspondent that Monday blamed the act on joblessness, adding that the suspect targeted men in nightclubs within the state.

“His mode of operation was to go to clubs at night and look for men he would spend the night with while disguising like a woman. He would dance around to attract men to himself. Whoever is interested in spending the night with him would approach him.

“He would collect some money from his unsuspecting victim as part payment for his service and have fun on his bill. While they were drinking and wining, he would tell the man that he wanted to urinate and use that opportunity to run away. He said he made between N7,000 and N10,000 per night,” the source said.

In his statement, the suspect, who hails from Rivers State, said he was a stylist before he went into the crime in 2018. He said he was once arrested by the police for the same offence but his church members assisted in securing his bail.

He said, “I came to Lagos last year and was squatting around. When it was night, I would look for a hidden place to dress like a woman and go to any club to dance as a woman.  Men who have feelings for me would give me money, but I don’t follow them to hotels.  I managed to run away.

“At times, I made N8,000 per day. I was going to a nightclub on September 15 when police arrested me. I told them my name is Joy, but later one of them discovered that I am a man. I do this because I don’t have a job.”

A police prosecutor, Inspector Koti Aondohemba, consequently brought the suspect before an Ogba Magistrates’ Court on four counts bordering on impersonation and fraud.

The offences, according to the police, contravene sections 168(d), 314 and 380 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The presiding magistrate, Mrs M. O. Tanimola, granted him bail in the sum of N80, 000 with one surety in the like sum. The case was adjourned till October 16, 2019 for mention.

Pastor tortures 10-year-old boy with an electric iron

A pastor with the Eagles Prophetic Gospel Centre in Gombe State has been arrested for child cruelty, by causing hurt to a 10-year-old boy.

34-year-old Pastor Emmanuel of Labor quarters in Tumfure, Akko Local Government Area, who was presented before reporters by the police alongside 15 other criminal suspects, claims that his victim, Daniel James, had been a truant, causing him to inflict the cruel punishment.

The pitiless preacher told Daily Sun that 10-year-old James was the son of an ex prostitute who had become a born again Christian as a result of a preaching outreach by his church.

“The 10-year-old boy committed a crime of stealing, which has been his habitual character. So, on that day, I took another dimension of punishment; I used electric iron to threaten him and it burnt him,” Pastor Emmanuel confessed.

He added that he took the kid to come and live with him after the church helped his mother find a place to live and a business to sustain herself and her elder son who is 19-year-old.

“They lived close to an Almajiri School and the boy always had a problem with the Almajiris. So, I took him to live with me. I made a mistake of not reporting him to the police. I always report his character to the mother before I decide to punish him on my own. In the church, everybody knew me to be a very disciplined man,” the pastor said.

Police spokesperson Obed Mary Malum confirmed to reporters that the suspect had confessed to using a hot electric iron to burn the 10-year-old boy in different parts of his body. The police says the preacher will soon be prosecuted in court.

Kim Kardashian’s Paris robbery to be made into movie

The dramatic Paris gems heist in which Kim Kardashian was tied up and robbed of jewellery worth some nine million euros is to be made into a movie.

"Fashion Week" will be adapted from a 130-page graphic novel that cult French writer and director Joann Sfar has written but which has yet to be published, the producers said Thursday.

The American reality television star was threatened with a gun, tied up and gagged in the bathroom of a luxury residence in the French capital where she was staying during fashion week in October 2016.

Eleven people have since been charged in connection with the robbery, the biggest heist of one individual in France in two decades.

Despite the wave of arrests of mostly well-known and ageing French career gangsters, only one piece of jewellery has been recovered.

A total of 9 million euros ($10.6 million) worth of jewellery was taken.

One of the team of five robbers who forced their way into Kardashian's apartment dropped a diamond-encrusted cross worth 30,000 euros while he was fleeing the scene on a bicycle.

It was found by a passer-by a few hours later.

The suspected ringleader, 61-year-old Aomar Ait Khedache, told investigators he had struggled to find a buyer for Kardashian's 18.88-carat ring, which she had flaunted on Instagram.

The huge gem was given to her by her husband, the rapper Kanye West.

Ait Khedache said it was "too recognisable" and that he had given it to an unidentified third party.

Sfar is one of France's best known comic and graphic novel authors, and also made "Gainsbourg", the acclaimed 2010 biopic about the hard-living French singer and songwriter of "Je t'aime".

He said that like the graphic novel, the movie would be about "a group of old school crooks who eye up the jewellery of a influential celebrity and find themselves swept up in the whirlwind of the fashion world."

Sfar admitted it was "liberally based on the raid on Kim Kardashian".

Comedian MC Fine arrested for spreading fake news

The police says it has arrested a comedian, Augustine Valentine, popularly known as `MC Fine’, for alleged spread of fake news.

Biodun Makanjuola, Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the force in Bwari, FCT, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), that Mr Valentine posted a false report on facebook alleging the apprehension of a female kidnapper.

“After investigation, we found the report to be fake,” he said.

NAN reports that the middle-aged woman, simply identified as Zulai, had been attacked on Wednesday, around Zenith Bank area in Bwari, over the suspicion that she had attempted to kidnap a two-year-old male child.

The police, who were quick to intervene, arrested the woman and, during investigation, found out that she was physically and psychologically unstable.

The DPO told NAN that while the investigation was going on, Mr Valentine posted misleading information on the incident, on the social media platform.

“When she was brought here, I asked my people to first take her to the General Hospital for medicals. They came back with a medical report indicating that she was suffering from depression.

“The report also referred her to Karu Psychiatric Hospital for proper evaluation. Right now, we are preparing to take her there.

“We were still on the matter when I started receiving calls about a post on Facebook claiming that the woman was a kidnapper. The report claimed that her phone had message conversations on how many children to be kidnapped.

“I made efforts and finally discovered who posted the story, brought him here for questioning, and he confessed he only added some of the details to add glamour to the story.”

The DPO, while expressing displeasure over the incident, cautioned against spreading unverified news, pointing out that such actions could cause a negative impact on people involved and result in a security breach in the affected community.

“We are working with the affected families to douse the tension. This town can be volatile, so we are not taking anything for granted,” he said.

Speaking with NAN, Mr Valentine, who regretted his action, admitted that he was not at the scene of the incident when it occurred on Wednesday.

According to him, the pictures and the alleged story were sent to him via Whatsapp, a social media platform, by an unknown number.

He had earlier raised a fake alarm, through his facebook account, that a woman was caught in Bwari attempting to steal a child who was playing with his mates around the Bwari market.

Mr Valentine, on facebook, claimed that “the crowd gathered, checked her phone which revealed how many children she was asked to provide by her accomplices”.

Dikko Samuel, Mai Angwuan Bwari, who is also the grandfather of the child Ms Zulai was accused of attempting to kidnap, told NAN that his wife called his attention to the incident when he was on his farm.

According to him, his wife, who was cooking corn by the roadside, turned and saw the suspected kidnapper holding the child and walking away.

“That was when she raised an alarm and people gathered and started attacking the woman. They were about to lynch her when we intervened and told the angry crowd that she was insane.

“I was also made to understand that she loves children and that they always followed her around because she gave them sweets and biscuits.”

When NAN visited the house of the suspected kidnapper, the son of the owner of the property on which she lived, who also pleaded anonymity, said that she had lived in the house for more than a decade.

According to him, Ms Zulai had been unstable for a long time but was harmless and had never shown any sign of violence or criminal behaviour.

He also said that she sometimes had a lot of children in her company, buy sweets and other food items for them when they surrounded her, with no parent complaining of a missing child.

Tyga hints Kylie Jenner is lying about Travis Scott split

Tyga has broken his silence over ex girlfriend Kylie Jenner 's split from Travis Scott .

The rapper threw shade at the billionaire makeup mogul and hinted that she was lying about what really happened with that 2am recording studio date.

Jenner already took to Twitter to confirm she and Travis had broken up, writing: "The internet makes everything 100 times more dramatic than what it really is.

"There was no "2am date with Tyga". You see me drop two of my friends off at a studio that he happened to be at."

But Tyga responded less than an hour after the Kardashian sister released her statement.

The Taste hitmaker simply posted a blue cap emoji, which can symbolise someone is "cappin", or lying.

Cappin is defined by the  Urban Dictionary  as "frontin" - saying stuff that isn't true.

However billionaire Kylie insists she was simply providing a lift for her friends to the studio.
