Sexy Pastor's Daughter Living Like A "Slay Queen" Dies ...drugged by man friend

Naa Dromor Adjei, a popular Ghanaian Instagram slay queen has been poisoned to death by a guy. A report by GHbase indicates that the slay queen went on a date with a guy who, somehow, added drug to her drink to sedate her.

Unfortunately for Naa Dromor Adjei, the drug made her have cardiac arrest...

She was rushed to a hospital but died after arriving because oxygen was cut off from her brain due to the drug. A screenshot shared by her friend reads:
This friend allegedly put some sort of sedative drug into Naa’s drink which caused her to go into cardiac arrest. There was a delay in getting Naa adequate medical care and it is unknown how long she went without oxygen to the brain. As a result, all brain activity stopped”.

Ambode Saga: Two Former Commissioners Opens Up

Former Lagos commissioners, Mr Olusegun Banjo (Economic Planning and Budget) and Mr Olawale Oluwo (Energy and Mineral Resources), have denied indicting ex-governor Akinwunmi Ambode before an ad hoc committee of the state House of Assembly.

The men on Thursday refuted reports that they incriminated their former boss in the statements they made to the committee of the house of assembly.

They insisted that Lagos Accountant-General, Mrs Shukrat Umar, buttressed their claims
when she told the committee on Wednesday that the State Executive Council approved the budget for the purchase of 820 vehicles for the state.

The Assembly had claimed that Ambode did not get approval for the purchase of the buses and subsequently set up a probe committee.

The committee had summoned the former commissioners and some other government officials to make statements on the project.

Banjo and Oluwo were reported to have indicted Ambode when they appeared before the committee.

But the former commissioners in separate statements said the reports were a misrepresentation of what transpired at the proceedings of the committee.

Banjo said he told the lawmakers that he was appointed in February 2018 when the issue of bus purchase had already been on the ground.

He pointed out that the issue was not contained in the budget he managed, though it could have been in earlier budgets.

Oluwo acknowledged that he attended the second session of the committee on October 15 alongside a former Commissioner for Agriculture, Toyin Suara.

For the avoidance of doubt, I reiterate that I did not and could never have indicted Akinwunmi Ambode. I am a committed democrat, a loyal team player and a strong believer in the principle of collective responsibility,” he said.

Man Sues His In-laws For Giving Him Pregnant Daughter

A 35 -year-old man, Ibrahim Adamu has dragged both his parents-in-law before the Magajin Gari Shari’a Court in Kaduna, accusing them of foisting their pregnant daughter on him in marriage.

The defendants are Sani Dogon-Zikiri, his father-in-law and Laura Sani, his mother-in-law, both accused of deceit and breach of trust.

The plaintiff, who resides at Rijjana village, told the court through his counsel, Mr. Hussaini Yakubu, that the defendants had deceitfully gotten their daughter married to him knowing she was already pregnant.

The plaintiff also accused his wife, Nafisa Sani of allegedly conniving with her parents to deceive him.

“The complainant and his wife had conducted a pregnancy test shortly after marriage which confirmed that she was two weeks pregnant before the wedding. He then asked his wife about the pregnancy and she confirmed that the pregnancy wasn’t his”, the counsel to the plaintiff’ told the court.

The counsel prayed the court to compel the defendants to pay his client the sum of N100,000 as compensation for deception.

The defendants, through their lawyer, Mr. Abubakar Suleiman, denied the allegations. Suleiman argued that the plaintiff ought to have raised alarm the very moment he discovered his wife’s alleged pregnancy rather than wait until the baby was born.

Man Caught With Pretty Lady's Severed Head (Photos)

This is tragic. A graphic clip circulating online shows the moment a man was caught with a woman's head in a polythene bag. The man was forced to remove the content of the bag, and to the surprise of those who forced him, it was a lady's severed head he was carrying.

Photos purportedly showing the woman who was beheaded have also been shared online. It shows her wearing the same hairstyle seen on the severed head.

Here's rapper Ruggedman's reaction to the incident;
Just saw a video of a young man with the head of a girl in a nylon bag.
I weep for this country.
He should be killed in a public firing Squad for all to see.
You just killed another mans daughter because you want to be rich.

Border closure: No country is targeted, Nigerian Government replies Ghana

The Nigerian Government says there is no ulterior motive in its decision to close the nation’s borders.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Geoffrey Onyeama, stated this during a meeting with two Ghanaian ministers on Thursday in Abuja.

He told Ghana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Integration, Shirley Botchwey, and the country’s Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kyerematen, that no country was targeted in the border closure.

According to the minister, Nigeria, as a member of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), respects the rules of the regional body.

He gave assurance that free movement of persons and goods would continue, stressing that the border closure was targeted at criminal activities and not countries.

Onyeama also informed the Ghanaian ministers that the Nigerian government would ensure that issues raised by their country would be looked into and addressed as soon as possible.

Read the tweets by the minister below:

''Met with H.E. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Ghanaian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Integration and H.E. @Alankyerematen, Ghanaian Minister of Trade and Industry. I assured that after the meeting between the Ministers and relevant stakeholders, the challenge of ease of trade…''

''…not countries. So, in addressing a particular country’s issues, it would not be a disadvantage to another country because for us, it is a measure to address a particular issue. #BorderClosure 🇳🇬🇬🇭 @NigeriaGov @DigiCommsNG @GhanaMFA @ecowas_cedeao''.

Jonathan-led AU observers declare Mozambique elections peaceful, transparent

The African Union has described Mozambique’s October 15 general elections as peaceful and conducted in a transparent manner.

The Union which deployed a team of election experts and short-term observers to the southern African nation’s Presidential, legislative and provincial elections noted that voting stations opened on time, while polling was largely conducted in a calm and peaceful environment throughout the day.

Head of AU Election Observation Mission former President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan stated this in Maputo on Thursday while presenting the mission’s preliminary report at a press conference jointly held with many other election observation groups.

He recognised notable improvement in the legal framework and management of the elections, notwithstanding the nation’s political and security challenges

Declaring the process of voting as transparent, Jonathan further noted that in “all the polling stations we visited, polling staff were professional, knowledgeable and diligently followed the opening, voting, closing and counting procedures.”

The mission however observed that diligent application of the procedures made vote counting process cumbersome and slow.

He said: “In view of these findings, our initial conclusions are that the 2019 elections were well administered within an improved legal framework, while the political and security context remains uncertain. The Mission commends the various stakeholders for their invaluable contributions to achieving this milestone so far.”

Police arrest fake journalists who tried to extort Minister of Petroleum at National Assembly complex

Men of the Nigeria Police Force attached to the National Assembly Complex Abuja on Thursday arrested three fake journalists on the premises.

The suspects,  identified simply as Balarabe Umar, Joseph Andor and Ibrahim Bello, were handed over to the Divisional Police Officer, National Assembly Division, Mr Abdullahi Sambo.

The alleged impersonators were discovered shortly after the appearance of the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, before the joint Senate and House of Representatives’ Committees on Petroleum.

Shortly after Sylva spoke to newsmen, the suspects, posing as journalists, allegedly accosted the minister to demand for gratification.

When attempts were made to stop them, the suspects threatened to beat up journalists, forcing members of the NASS press corps to invite the sergeants-at-arms and the DPO, who arrested the suspects.

G-Worldwide reignites lawsuit against Kizz Daniel

G-Worldwide Entertainment (GWW), the Record Label through which Kizz Daniel rose to fame and became positioned to attract fortune, has reignited its legal battle against Kizz Daniel, who is now its former signee.

The Label in pursuit of this course has engaged the law firm of Olisa Agbakoba Legal, led by Senior Counsel, Dr. Olisa Agbakoba, SAN, to prosecute its claims against the Artiste.

G-WorldWide now wants General damages in the sum of Two Hundred Million Naira (200,000,000), special damages for breach of contract in the sum of N179,499,957.00 (One Hundred and Seventy-Nine Million, Four Hundred and Ninety-Nine Thousand, Nine Hundred and Fifty-Seven Naira) and N150, 000, 000 (One Hundred and Fifty Million Naira) for contract exit fees, among other reliefs.

Following the Artiste’s exit from the recording contract he executed with GWW in 2017, coupled with the alleged imprecise media bout instigated by the Artiste to damage GWW’s reputation, the Record Label has sought legal redress against the Artiste before the relevant Courts in Nigeria, viz: a claim for breach of recording contract against the Artiste before the High Court of Lagos State, and another claim before the Federal High Court, Lagos for infringement of its intellectual property rights by the Artiste.

The matter pending at the High Court of Lagos State, which was commenced by an Originating Summons, came up on Monday, October 7, 2019, for Judgment before Hon. Justice Taofiquat Oyekan-Abdullai.

However, GWW through its Solicitors informed the Court that it had filed an Application seeking two alternative prayers; A prayer to stay proceedings pending reference of the matter to Arbitration, as provided under the enabling contract between the parties and a prayer granting leave to amend its originating process.

The Court, after hearing Counsel’s submissions on behalf of GWW, with respect to the reasons necessitating the application, appreciated the peculiarity of the circumstances, which is predicated on the fact that the former counsel representing the Label, argued the Originating Summons in defiance of the label’s instructions to defer steps in the suit, and ultimately withdraw the suit in view of its decision to engage another law firm.

Consequently, the Court adjourned the matter for the hearing of the Label’s application to January 21, 2020.

The 21-year-old actually found favour before Justice Patricia Ajoku of the Federal High Court, Ibadan, who commuted the one year punishment proposed for his offence to six months.

The judge succumb to his lawyer’s passionate plea that his client had missed two examination sessions owing to the criminal charge filed against him by the Ibadan zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Ogunremi had pleaded guilty to the one-count amended charge with which he was arraigned on Wednesday consequent upon a plea bargain arrangement between him and the Commission.

Many Nigerians can’t sing National Anthem , recite the pledge - Lai Mohammed

The Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has lamented the growing lack of patriotism among Nigerians, saying many citizens today can neither sing the National Anthem nor recite the National Pledge.

This was as the government also clarified its decision to launch the “Change begins with me” campaign in September 2016, saying the move was not an attempt to ingrain the change mantra of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC in the minds of Nigerians, but that the programme was designed without any partisan consideration.

Lai Mohammed stated this Thursday in Abuja at the public presentation of the Mindshift Advocacy for Development Initiative – an organization advocating for value-reorientation and attitudinal change among Nigerians.

The minister who was represented by a Director in the ministry, Mr Samuel Soughul, also lamented that in spite of the best attempts of President Muhammadu Buhari to reposition the country for greatness, few bad eggs in the society continue to constitute a clog in the wheel.

“I think we are making progress. I won’t say all, there are few bad eggs in our society that forming the clog in the wheel of our progress. Let’s start from basics. If you love your country, you must love anything that is associated with your country. You love your country and you love your countrymen, you love the paraphernalia of the state.

“The National Anthem, some of us cannot read, cannot recite, cannot write. Is it the currency of the country, Naira that we abuse? Is it the Constitution that we do not obey its provisions? We have a lot to say but the future is still bright.”

Mohammed continued: “In 1976, there was a desire by Prof. Felicia Adewole to come up with a contract for citizens to sign with their country, Nigeria and she made a draft which was proved right. That is what we have today as a National Pledge. By following that Pledge, we will not have turbulence around our homes, we will not need bullet-proof vehicles, we will be our brother’s keeper.

“Our tertiary institutions, the award certificates based on the fact that the graduands have been ‘found worthy in character and learning’. Now, President Muhammadu Buhari, having viewed this with concerns, on Thursday, September 8 2016, launched a value-reorientation campaign ‘Change begins with me’. This campaign is not a slogan and it should not be associated with party slogan as such. It is a patriotic slogan and campaign – a value-reorientation campaign. What it means is that the change we want should start with us instead of pointing accusing fingers,” Mohammed said.

'Who Will Fund Aisha Buhari’s New Office As First Lady?'

Following the appointments of six aides for the office of the first lady, the Peoples Democratic Party has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to explain how it will be funded.

In a statement released on Thursday, the party also asked Buhari to clarify the rationale behind the office despite his promise to scrap it.

The party also reacted to new directives issued to senior government officials by the president including slashing of their estacodes.

Kola Ologbondiyan, PDP spokesman, said while Buhari claims to reduce cost of governance, the presidency drains Nigeria’s valuable resources.

Ologbondiyan said: “While the PDP is still monitoring the implementation of directive to government functionaries on cost cut, the party tasks President Buhari to take the first step by immediately fulfilling his promise to reduce the Presidential fleet, as well as cut his over-bloated entourages and curtail the opulent lifestyle in the Presidency, which is daily flaunted before suffering and impoverished Nigerians.

“We invite Nigerians to note that the Buhari Presidency has proven to be extremely expensive and a major draining pipe for valuable resources, while millions of compatriots, who look up to government for solutions, wallow in hunger and acute poverty.

“The profligacy that permeates the Buhari Presidency had further manifested in the public fight between the First Lady, Aisha Buhari, and President Buhari’s nephews over issues of opulent accommodation in our presidential villa.”

The main opposition party also accused the president of failing to disclose the details of the presidency’s budget “despite demands by our party and other well-meaning groups in Nigeria.”

“The failure to make the details of the Presidency budget public places a huge burden on the Buhari Presidency, particularly in the face of allegations of budgetary corruption and financial sleaze,” it said.

“Unless the Presidency budget is made public for Nigerians to see, any directive on cost cut remains cosmetic.”

Fire guts Lagos waterworks, traffic diverted

Fire from suspected gas leakage on Thursday gutted some parts of the Lagos State Water Corporation, Onikan Roundabout, Lagos Island.

Officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority were said to have diverted traffic from the area to avert aggravating the situation.

The Lagos State Fire Service stated that the fire started from a gas pipeline in the corporation.

The agency added that efforts were on to curtail its spread and shut the source of the gas.

The spokesperson for the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Nosa Okubor, in a statement, said officials of the agency and other first responders were battling the inferno.

He, however, noted that it had been confined to a secluded part of the complex.

“The fire was discovered to have ignited from different places on the ground inside and outside the water corporation complex.

“Further investigations revealed that the fire could be from an underground gas or petrol facility suspected to be a pipeline,” he added.

Don't Be a Fool! President Trump writes Turkish leader, Erdogan

President Donald Trump wrote a letter to Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan calling on him to “work out a good deal!” and warning him not to be a “tough guy” or “fool.”

“History will look upon you favorably if you get this done the right and humane way,” according to the Oct. 9 letter, reported earlier by Fox Business Network and confirmed by the White House. “It will look upon you forever as the devil if good things don’t happen.”

Trump has been trying to contain the damage from his sudden move last week to pull American forces from northern Syria, allowing Turkey to proceed with a military operation in the region. The withdrawal left Kurdish fighters who fought for several years alongside American troops against Islamic State exposed to attack from the Turkish military.

Trump on Wednesday stood by his decision, rejecting criticism from key GOP supporters in Congress that he abandoned Kurdish allies and allowed Russia to fill the void.

Trump’s letter told the Turkish leader: “I have worked hard to solve some of your problems.” He didn’t elaborate.

Trump also referred to the case of Andrew Brunson, an evangelical pastor who had been held captive in Turkey on terrorism charges.

Trump told Erdogan in the letter: “You don’t want to be responsible for slaughtering thousands of people, and I don’t want to be responsible for destroying the Turkish economy — and I will. I’ve already given you a little glimpse with respect to Pastor Brunson.”

Brunson was freed from prison in Turkey in 2018 after Trump doubled metal tariffs on Turkey, fueling a weakening of the lira, and imposed financial sanctions on key Erdogan aides involved in the pastor’s case. Brunson had been accused of collaborating with terrorist groups and participating in a 2016 coup attempt in Turkey, charges he strongly denied.

Earlier Wednesday, Trump insisted the letter was proof that he hadn’t provided Erodgan a “green light” for his incursion into Syria.

“I wrote a letter right after that conversation — a very powerful letter,” Trump told reporters at the White House. “There was never given a green light. They’ve been wanting to do that for years and, frankly, they’ve been fighting for many, many years.”

Republican allies sought to spin the letter as evidence that the administration had warned Turkey against misbehavior. House Foreign Affairs Committee leader Michael McCaul described the missive as “very stern” and said it proved Turkey had acted despite warnings from the White House.
