P*rn star Jessica Jaymes' cause of death confirmed after she tragically died at 43

Porn star Jessica Jaymes' cause of death has been confirmed after she tragically died at the age of 43.

The adult film actress and reality star, whose real name was Jessica Redding, died in September when she suffered a seizure at her home in California.

The LA County Coroner's Office has ruled that Jessica's death was "natural", but that alcohol abuse, or "chronic ethanol abuse", also played a part as a contributing factor.

Jessica had been found unresponsive at her home in North Hills, LA, by a friend on September 17.

The friend, who went to check on her after becoming concerned, called an ambulance and law enforcement say emergency services received a call for a cardiac arrest in the San Fernando Valley.

Sadly, Jessica was pronounced dead at the scene.

We did not choose who colonized us. As ever, this film and many like it, is proudly Nigerian. ”

Turkey captures sister of dead IS leader in raid

The sister of former Islamic State group (IS) leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has been captured in northern Syria, Turkish officials say.

The 65-year-old, named as Rasmiya Awad, was detained in a raid on Monday near the town of Azaz, officials said.

Turkish officials, cited by several media outlets, said the arrest could yield valuable intelligence about IS.

Baghdadi killed himself during a raid by US special forces on his compound in north-west Syria last month. His death was hailed as a victory for US President Donald Trump, but critics argue that IS remains a security threat in Syria and elsewhere.

Work romance: Man comes up with his love story after McDonald's fired it's CEO for falling in love with a staff

Australian businessman Gary Lyon still thinks it was "bizarre" that he lost his senior management job for dating a junior colleague.

But it all turned out for the best in the end - he has been married to Tamra for 12 years and they have an 11-year-old daughter, Charlotte.

Now Mr Lyon and his wife have their own company in Brisbane and he says he would be perfectly happy if two of his employees fell in love.

"It wouldn't bother me in the slightest," he says, "as long as it didn't affect their work."

Mr Lyon contacted the BBC after reading that McDonald's had fired its chief executive Steve Easterbrook after he had a relationship with an employee.

The US fast food giant said the relationship was consensual, but Mr Easterbrook had "violated company policy" and shown "poor judgement".

The issue has shed light on the difficulties that staff can face if they find romance at work, especially if one is more senior than the other.

In Mr Lyon's case, he was an operations manager at a firm making doors and windows. He met the future Mrs Lyon when she joined his team as a project co-ordinator. After three or four months, they got together at an office function.

"I always liked her and she made it known that she liked me as well," he said. "It went from there."

At the time, he was 41 and she was 14 years younger. They initially kept the relationship secret, but eventually made it known that they were an item.

"You don't believe it's an issue for other people, but it transpires that it is, and you don't see why, because it doesn't impact your work," he says.

"You spend a lot of time with people at work, so you get to know them quite well."

After the couple had been seeing each other for about three months, he was called in and, as he puts it: "Then the hammer dropped."

He lost his job, but she kept hers. "She was pretty upset, but there's not much you can do. You've just got to keep going."

Mr Lyon says there was no clear workplace code in place about dating colleagues. He describes the decision as "very arbitrary" and says it represents "a very archaic view of the world".

"Should managers be banned from dating subordinates? Not if it is consensual," he says.

"You can't choose where you find love, so why penalise both parties by firing one of them?"

Sowore rejects Apostle Suleman’s surety offer

The legal team of Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore, has rejected a possible offer by President, Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman, to stand surety for the detained activist.

Suleman had in a tweet on Monday expressed concerns that though Sowore had hurt many people in the past including himself, he is of the opinion that Sowore should not be allowed to “rot where he is.”

However, one of Sowore’s lawyers, Inibehe Effiong, told The Punch that Suleman was not eligible to stand surety for the detained activist.

Effiong said the court was clear that the surety must be resident in Abuja.

He further stated that the cleric had been involved in a public spat with Sowore and therefore, there was conflict of interest.

The lawyer said the challenge Sowore had was that the Federal Government had seriously politicised the matter thereby discouraging people from standing surety for his client.

Effiong, however, said he was confident that the activist would meet his bail conditions soon.

He said, “His (Suleman’s) offer cannot be considered let alone accepted. The man who is making the offer is on record of having had a public altercation with Sowore. So, there will be no basis for Sowore to consider it.

“The court stated that the surety must be resident in Abuja and the last time I checked, he was not resident in Abuja. So, I am not sure he is eligible to stand surety for him. So there is no way Sowore can accept such an offer.

“So, we are turning it down and we are not even considering it. The way the Federal Government politicised the matter, made it difficult for the bail conditions to be met. But we are in the process of perfecting the bail.”

Sowore had in a report published through his platform, accused Suleman of engaging in extra-marital affairs with a woman known as Stephanie Otobo.

The activist, who is the Convener of #RevolutionNow, was arrested by the Department of State Services on August 2, 2019, for allegedly trying to overthrow the President Muhammadu Buhari government.

Pilot gets life ban after woman's cockpit photo

A Chinese pilot has been banned from flying after a photo went viral showing a female passenger in the cockpit.

The photo was taken in January on an Air Guilin flight from Guilin city to Yangzhou city, state media said, but was widely shared this week - causing the airline to take action.

It shows a woman posing in the cockpit with refreshments laid out next to her.

Air Guilin said in a statement the pilot had violated air safety regulations.

The woman is rumoured to be a flight attendant in training at a Guilin university, according to news site Chinese News Service.

Air Guilin did not specify if the photo was taken mid-flight, but Chinese pilots and analysts said the photo appears to have been taken during the flight.

The pilot, who was not named, has been banned from flying for life, though it is unclear if he was fired from all roles by the airline.

Air Guilin said in a statement that he had "violated [regulations] by allowing irrelevant personnel into the cockpit".

According to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, passengers are not allowed to enter the cockpit without special approval or under "necessary" circumstances.

Other staff members involved in the incident have also been "suspended indefinitely" while further investigations are held.

The Academy disqualifies Nigeria’s Oscar entry Lionheart

The Academy has disqualified Nigeria’s “Lionheart” from the Oscar race in the Best International Feature Film category, dropping the number of films competing for the award to 92 from what had been a record 93 entries.

This year’s field is now tied with 2017’s as the largest in the category’s history. Snce “Lionheart” was made by actress-turned-director Genevieve Nnaji, its disqualification drops the number of female directors in this year’s race to 28, which is still a category record.

It was the first film ever submitted to the Oscars by Nigeria.

“Lionheart,” in which Nnaji also stars, is partially in the Igbo language of Nigeria. But it is mostly in English, which violates an Academy rule that entries in the category must have “a predominantly non-English dialogue track.”

The film had not been vetted by the Academy’s International Feature Film Award Executive Committee in advance of the Oct. 7 announcement of qualifying films but was recently viewed and determined not to qualify in a category that until this year was known as Best Foreign Language Film.

LASU student Afeez docked for raping 2 muslim virgins

Two muslim students of the Lagos State University (LASU) on Monday narrated before an Ikeja Special Offences Court how they were robbed and r.a.p.e.d at gunpoint by a fellow student, Afeez Ogunbowale.

The students, who were both wearing niqabs (Islamic garment which covers the body leaving the eyes uncovered), in a two-hour testimony revealed to the court that they lost their virginity in the attack.

They made the claims while testifying as prosecuting witnesses during the trial of Ogunbowale, over alleged robbery and rape. In his Facebook post, Ogunbowale had attended Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta before coming to LASU in 2017.

Led in evidence by Mrs. O.A Bajulaiye-Bishi, the prosecuting counsel, the students, who were roommates, told the court that they were 200 level students when the alleged rape and robbery occurred on April 18, 2018.

The witnesses told the court that at around 3a.m., a torch was flashed into their apartment, awakening them suddenly and five men, including Ogunbowale, who were armed with a gun and machetes, forced themselves in.

Student A (name withheld), 23, told the court “they took three phones, a gold chain, earpiece, power bank and N1, 200. Three of the men left, leaving the defendant and one other person who I cannot identify.

“The defendant told the other guy ‘I want to sleep with these girls’. The defendant went to the toilet with my roommate while the second man tried to rape me.

“The second man could not penetrate me because I had an asthmatic attack and the second man left me to swap places with the defendant.

“The defendant came and had sex with me while I had the asthmatic attack and my roommate was screaming and pleading for him to leave me alone and he said in pidgin English ‘if she wan die, make she die’.

“The other three men came back into the apartment and saw the chaos. They told the two other men that this was not what they came here to do and they assisted in looking for my inhaler. My inhaler was found and they all left my apartment.”

Student A told the court that they lodged a report at the Ojo Barracks and they were referred to the Mirabel Center for medical examination and counselling.

“The case was transferred to the Festac Police Station, then to the Ikeja Police Station. When the defendant was apprehended and brought to the Ikeja Police Station, he was shocked when he saw us there.

“He went on his knees and said to us in Yoruba ‘Alhaja please’,” Student A said.

While being cross-examined by Mr Bisi Salau, the defence counsel, Student A said that she recognised Ogunbowale as her assailant because she had seen him a number of times on campus.

She noted that the residence where the alleged crime occurred belonged to her aunt.

“I was a virgin until the day that incident occurred, I cannot remember the exact date I went to the Mirabel Center. When I reported the incident at the Ojo Barracks, they called to inform the Vice-Chancellor of LASU about it.

“The five men who came to our apartment were armed with a gun and the defendant was the one who carried the gun, he touched me with the gun.

“The defendant has a group of friends in my class and his friend sent me a friendship request on Facebook.

“When I looked through his friends list, I saw the defendant’s photograph which I gave to the campus Department of State Security (DSS) official.

“I saw the defendant on campus and alerted the campus security. He was apprehended in September 2018,” Student A said.

Student B (name withheld),20, while giving her testimony narrated how Ogunbowale allegedly raped her.

“The defendant took me to the toilet and pointed a gun at my head, that day I was still a virgin and it was difficult for him to penetrate into me. He said to me ‘you never do am before.’

“He took me to a chair and raped me and the second man left my roommate and exchanged places with him and raped me as well.

“After we had reported the incident to authorities, we were examined and counselled. We had to go there over a long period of time but we had to cut that short because of our exams.

“We could not even take some of our medication because of our school examination,” she said.

The alleged culprit Ogunbowale pleaded not guilty during his arraignment for five-counts of robbery and rape.

The case was adjourned till Nov. 25 for further hearing.

Woman who spent £14k on her body goes blind after getting her eyeballs tattooed

A tattoo addict went blind for three weeks after undergoing an agonising procedure to turn her eyes blue.

Amber Luke, 24, from Central Coast, New South Wales, Australia, has spent £13,901 on transforming her looks, having her tongue split, earlobes stretched and other 'modifications'.

These include 200 tattoos, a boob job, lip and cheek fillers and ear spike implants, however getting her eyes tattooed was the most painful of them all.

Ms Luke, who refers to herself as the 'Blue Eyed White Dragon', said: "I can't even begin to describe to you what the feeling was like.

"The best thing I can give you is once the eyeball was penetrated with the ink, it felt like (the tattoo artist) grabbed 10 shards of glass and rubbed it in my eye.

"That happened four times per eye, that was pretty brutal. Unfortunately, my artist went too deep into my eyeball."

She added that the procedure does not cause blindness if done correctly, Mail Online reports.

The ordeal has put the Australian off undergoing further extreme body modifications, although she plans to keep getting tattoos until she is fully covered.

Ms Luke's mum, Vikki, broke down in tears after finding out about about her daughter's eyeball treatment.

Vikki said she questioned why her daughter took the risk, however she has accepted that there is nothing she can do to deter her.

The mother emphasised that she just wanted to support her daughter, who never saw herself as beautiful while growing up.

Ms Luke said she has no regrets about her 10-year transformation.

The 'body modifier' claims to have received a mix of negative and positive feedback from strangers about her looks.

Abba Kyari takes bill to Buhari in London for signing

The Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, on Monday took a bill to President Muhammadu Buhari, who is in London on a private visit, for signing.

The bill amended the Deep Offshore (and Inland Basin Production Sharing Contract) Act.

The President on Twitter described the signing as a landmark moment for Nigeria. In a photo which was posted on social media, Kyari, who was wearing a suit, was seen presenting the bill to the President who was sitting down.

Buhari, will be in London for the next two weeks, failed to transfer power to Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo as he had done several times in the past.

This implies that all memos, bills and other documents requiring the President’s signature must be taken to London for signing.
