A teenager died after she was allegedly r.a.p.e.d by a group of boys at a house party.
Jhoselin Monica Calani, 17, attended the gathering at a friend's house on October 16. She is believed to have collapsed during the celebrations.
It is believed she was then brutally raped by the group in Oruro, Bolivia. When she woke, Jhoselin complained of soreness in her hips and struggled to stand.
She was dashed to hospital but died there two weeks later.
Her grief-stricken mum now wants the four teenage boys arrested on suspicion of her rape to be prosecuted for murder or femicide.
“I want to tell you those guys cannot go out, justice must be carried out, they must pay for what they did, they should not be punished with a minor penalty,” she said.
Police continue to investigate the tragedy, and are questioning the suspects, each aged 16 or 17.
Alcohol was served at the party, officers say.
But they are exploring whether other drugs were also present.
Orlando Zapata, the Oruro department attorney, said Jhoselin “did not remember what happened, she felt very cold and presented a strong pain in the hips”.
Hundreds gathered to mourn Jhoselin at her funeral last week.

The landowner's body was so decomposed that determining a cause of death was impossible, experts told St Albans Crown Court.
Taylor and burly Cannon, who is a digger driver, were jointly convicted of his murder by a jury of eight women and four men after little more than 11 hours of deliberations.
Grey-haired Cannon, wearing a dark suit, shook his head as the verdicts were returned, while Taylor appeared to make no reaction.
Dozens of violent WhatsApp messages expressing a desire to seriously harm Mr Taylor were read in court. The messages showed the pair had enjoyed discussing sexually graphic and violent ways of seriously harming Mr Taylor, who suffered from both tinnitus and arthritis .
They included fantasies of showering together as his blood ran down the drain and cutting his ligaments and fingers off.
But Taylor and Cannon, both of Hitchin, Hertfordshire, will be sentenced on Friday by judge Michael Kay QC.

Elaine Herzberg, 49, was hit by the car as she crossed a road in Tempe, Arizona.
The US National Transportation Safety Board (NSTB) found the car failed to properly identify her as a pedestrian.
The detailed findings raised a series of safety issues but did not determine the probable cause of the accident.
The safety board is expected to make that finding when it meets on 19 November.
The findings, released on Tuesday, may also be used to help shape recommendations for the developing autonomous driving industry. The sector has come under sharp scrutiny in the wake of the accident.

The Federal High Court in Lagos has fixed November 22, 2019 for the arraignment of 46 persons charged with homosexuality by the police.
The defendants were said to have been arrested in August at a hotel in Egbeda.
The police brought them to court on Tuesday for arraignment. But Justice Rilwan Aikawa said his courtroom was too small for the arraignment of the 46 defendants.
The judge said he would have to adjourn the arraignment while he looked for a bigger courtroom where the arraignment could take place.
“We cannot have 57 persons in this court. We have to look for a day we can use Court 2, so it can be convenient for all,” the judge said and adjourned till November 22.
A man has had a 12cm-long flesh-eating tapeworm removed from his head which had been slowly eating his brain for the past 15 years.
Wang Lei first started to feel numbness down his left side in 2007, and has continued to suffer withfail health ever since.
He has seen multiple specialists and was once treated for a malignant brain tumour, as doctors tried to figure the cause of his issues.
But the young man's condition continued to worsen and he started to suffer frequent seizures and blackouts, according to local media.
In 2018, doctors discovered that a tapeworm was living in his brain and they advised the patient to undergo non-surgical treatment as the parasite was considered to be in a risky area to operate on.
Unfortunately, the tapeworm continued to live in Mr Wang's head and he recently underwent an operation at the Guangdong Sanjiu Brain Hospital to remove it.
Following the two-hour procedure, medics removed a Sparganum mansoni parasite commonly found in the intestines of cats and dogs, but rarely in people, according to reports.
Doctor Gu told local media: "The surgery was risky.
"The live tapeworm was moving in his brain and we had to remove all of it otherwise the leftover part could grow again.
"It is not the only case, our hospital has treated four patients this year.

The six-storey building gutted by fire on Tuesday in Lagos Island has collapsed, killing a policeman at the scene.
The six-storey building located at 43 Martins Street, Lagos Island, collapsed around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday as firemen continued spirited efforts at extinguishing the inferno.
A section of the burning building collapsed on the policeman, severely injuring him while trying to control the surging crowd.
Confirming the death, Mr Olanrewaju Elegushi, Special Adviser to Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Lagos Central Business District, said the policeman died in the hospital following injuries sustained in the building collapse.

The Oyo State Government has marked the alleged torture centre in Ibadan where 259 inmates were rescued by the police on Monday for demolition.
Gov. Seyi Makinde made the disclosure on Tuesday when he visited the alleged detention facility at Olore Bus Stop, Ojoo end of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The state police command in an operation led by CP Shina Olukolu on Monday busted the alleged detention facility where the inmates were rescued.
The operation had led to the arrest of five persons, including one of the operators of the centre identified as Ismail Olore.
22 persons among the rescued inmates have been hospitalised because they were critically ill as a result of alleged inhuman treatment and infections at the centre.
“We have marked the facility for demolition. We have here Ministry of Lands and Urban Planning, Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Health.
“The government will do everything that is humanly possible to ensure that this kind of thing is stopped in our environment.
“We want to encourage our people, the parents, even family members, if you need to rehabilitate members of your family that are not behaving well, we have government institutions that can do that.
“And we are trying to rehabilitate those places. They are for the people of Oyo State.
“So, whatever is necessary, looking at the laws of our land, regarding this kind of thing, we will ensure we get this place away from those people doing this type of thing within the ambit of the law,” the governor said.
Makinde explained that the 22 hospitalised inmates were presently receiving treatment at Adeoyo State Hospital in Ibadan, promising they would be released to their parents once the doctors discharge them.
The governor said that the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare had been mobilised to take care of those rescued from the facility.
According to him, first, we need to have immediate palliatives for them. Then, we have to look at deeper issues on how to resettle them, how to reunite them with their families. We are not going to leave them alone at this point.
Makinde, while addressing parents of the rescued inmates at the temporary rehabilitation centre provided by the state government, said the rescued inmates would be released to their parents once they were given clean bill of health.
He said that the law enforcement agencies would ensure those involved in the act were prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
The governor enjoined parents and guardians to join hands with the government in correcting societal ills.
“If you have children that are misbehaving, the government is there to correct and we have correctional facilities where the rehabilitation can be done,” he said.
A Nigerian pastor Stanley Omoregie and 23 other suspected members of a sex trafficking ring accused of forcing Nigerian women into prostitution will go on trial today in Lyon, France the latest case to highlight the growing use of Nigerian migrants as sex slaves in Europe.
The arrest of the suspects was triggered by an investigation by police in Lyon, where an estimate showed that half the city’s sex workers are Nigerian. Police authorities received a tip about the Nigerian pastor accused of exploiting several sex workers who lived in apartments he owned.

A 22-year-old Nigerian trader residing in Ghana is said to have had a consensual relationship with a food vendor assistant which led to pregnancy.
In this case, the assistant is 15-year-old, therefore not mature enough to be involved in such a relationship as she is considered incapable of making the right decision for herself yet.
