We didn’t call for Oshiomhole’s resignation - APC Governors

Governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday denounced purported call by the Director General of Progressive Governors’ Forum, Saliu Lukman on Wednesday asking the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole to convene a NEC meeting or resign.

According to them, the said the statement did not emanate and could not have emanated from the Progressive Governors Forum.

A source close to one of the governors, told the Nation that “The Director General is on his own sponsored errand.”

It was also learnt there has been no meeting of the Progressives Governors Forum or that of the forum’s executives to deliberate on current issues that could have warranted such volatile statement credited to the Director General.

APC National Vice Chairman (South-South), Hilliard Eta, dismissed Lukman’s statement, saying the director general was “speaking for himself”.

Fatoyinbo vindicated, shame on Busola Dakolo - FFK

Femi Fani-Kayode is elated that Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, COZA, has been vindicated after a High Court in Abuja threw out a suit filed by Busola Dakolo over alleged r.a.p.e.

Fani-Kayode pronounced shame on Dakolo and all others trying to cast aspersion on Fatoyinbo and his ministry.

Dakolo had filed the suit against Fatoyinbo after she claimed that the COZA pastor raped her 20 years ago when she was 16 years in Ilorin, Kwara State.

A High Court in Bwari, Abuja had on Thursday threw out the case filed by Dakolo against Fatoyinbo. This came after Fatoyinbo filed an objection and an affidavit at the Court reiterating that Busola’s statements were false and concocted to embarrass, scandalise and ridicule him.

Reacting to the development, Fani-Kayode said “Now that Biodun Fatoyinbo of COZA Global has been vindicated, I say shame on the accuser of the brethren & all those who mocked and crucified him without seeing any hard and credible evidence.

“Those that make false allegations do great damage to the cause of decency and justice.”

No shaking: I’m in for Bayelsa governorship poll- Lyon

The All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in Bayelsa State, Chief David Lyon said he is still contesting the gubernatorial poll on Saturday, calling on his supporters not to panic.

A Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa, had on Thursday nullified the governorship primaries that produced Chief David Lyon as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for the Nov. 16 poll in the state.

Delivering judgment, Justice Jane Inyang, held that the primaries were conducted arbitrarily outside the rules of the party.

Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, former Minister of State for Agriculture, had dragged APC to court over alleged irregularities during a direct primary conducted by the party on Sept. 4.

However, Lyon said the Court of Appeal has asked all parties to return to the status quo and called on Bayelsans to come out on Saturday and vote massively for the APC.

Speaking through the Alternate Director General of the David Lyon and Degi Eremienyo Campaign Organization, Prof. Seyefa Brisibe, Lyon asked the people not to be deterred by antics of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Describing the ruling as a procured judgement, Brisibe urged Bayelsans not to panic but go ahead to vote the APC and its candidate during the Saturday governorship election.

“Let me use this opportunity to let all Bayelsans and our teaming supporters know that there is no cause for alarm. Our candidates, Chief David Lyon and Bishop Degi Eremienyo are fully, squarely on the ballot.

“This is because, we, as law abiding citizens, have done what is proper, judicious and procedural to see that that judgement does not stand.

“I want to appeal to all Bayelsans in the remotest areas, which our next governor stands for, to come out en masse to vote the APC come November 16,” he said.

Tyson Fury's wife tried to convince him to retire

Tyson Fury has revealed his wife Paris tried to convince him to quit following his draw with Deontay Wilder .

Fury was knocked down twice by the heavyweight world champion last year but still looked to have done enough to win.

The three ringside judges ruled differently however with the fight scored a controversial draw.

Fury and his whole team were devastated but it was wife who was most affected.

"Paris was in a worse state and couldn’t get over what she had witnessed that night," he writes in his autobiography Behind The Mask.

" She not only told me to retire but she also didn't feel that she could sit through another fight with me against Wilder.

"In the immediate aftermath, she felt so ill and when she got back to our hotel room she ripped off her false nails, wiped away her make-up and sat on the bed, crying for three hours.

"It was horrible to see my wife go through that kind of trauma and I’m sure there are many wives and girlfriends of boxers who can relate to that experience, because they know the fine line between a glorious night in the ring and a tragic one.

"Through the tears, Paris didn't hold back: 'I don’t want you fighting again, Tyson. It’s too hard, it’s not worth it!'

"The emotional roller-coaster that Paris, Hughie and my family went through illustrates how much they care. That’s the depth of love and concern that few others in boxing can really have for a fighter.

Everyone else is doing a job and if the fighter loses, well, they just move on to the next show. With regard to the management team and the promoters, if I lose it’s a case of, ‘Oh well, bad luck’ but it’s not the end of the world to them.

Man jailed for 12 years for raping foster daughter

A man who r.a.p.e.d his foster daughter after giving her alcohol - and then tried to claim she sexually assaulted him - has been jailed for 12 years.

A judge hit out at Richard Moloney, 41, telling the rapist he has shown no remorse over the attack on traumatised Ciara Monaghan, who has waived her right to anonymity, who has since tried to take her own life.

Moloney plied Ms Monaghan, then 16, and her friend with vodka and beer before he r.a.p.e.d her at his home in Roscrea, Co Tipperary in Ireland.

The judge said the rapist lied when he gave evidence under oath at his trial, claiming his victim had sexually assaulted him, the Irish Mirror reports.

Ms Monaghan and her supporters hugged when Moloney was jailed, and she said outside court that she was pleased with the sentence.

Moloney was found guilty by a jury of r.a.p.e, oral r.a.p.e and sexually assaulting Ms Monaghan, now 19, on July 16, 2016.

The conviction followed a trial at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin last July.

At a sentencing hearing in October, brave Ms Monaghan turned to face Moloney and told him: "Today I stand in front of you a survivor."

She waived her right to anonymity so Moloney can be identified.

The attack has had a “very destructive” impact on the victim and she has suffered enormously, Mr Justice Alex Owens said as he jailed Moloney on Wednesday.

The court heard Ms Monaghan was home alone for the weekend with her foster father when he plied both her and her friend with vodka and beer.

When the friend got sick and went to bed, Moloney attacked his foster daughter by kissing her and forcing her to give him oral sex before taking her into his bedroom and raping her.

During the attack she was distressed and tried to call out, but he put his hand over her mouth, a garda detective told Conor Devally SC, prosecuting.

Afterwards, the girl told her friend what had happened and the pair left the house in the early hours of the morning.

When interviewed by gardai, the man “painted a picture of her being brazen and highly sexualised”, Mr Devally said.

The man told gardai he woke up at one point and found her on top of him and told her: “Go back to bed you little b****.”

Mr Sexton said the offence was out of character for his client and he urged the judge to take into account the “years of positive activity” with the foster children prior to the rape.

Justice Owens imposed a post release supervision period of four years and ordered Moloney to stay away from the victim and to engage in an alcohol addiction programme.

Kevin Hart opens up needing help to use the toilet amid recovery from car crash

Kevin Hart spoke about the hardships he faced during his recovery from a major car crash less than three months ago - including how he felt needing a helper to use the toilet.

'It is the most humbling thing in the world,' he said while appearing Tuesday on his SiriusXM show Straight From The Hart. 'You really are helpless. There was nothing I could do.'

The Ride Along actor continues his physical recovery from a September 1 crash which required him to have three areas of his spine fused in an emergency surgery.

Hart was a passenger in his own 1970 Plymouth Barracuda when it veered off Mulholland Highway and careened into a ditch in Malibu Hills, California.

The vehicle was being driven at the time by Jared Black, 28, the fiance of Rebecca Broxterman, 31, who is the personal trainer of his wife Eniko Parrish, 35.

Hart delved into detail about the physical misery he experienced from severe stomach issues during a time he was largely immobile following surgery in the days following the crash.

'To move is a Goddamn event,' Hart said, recalling one instance in which he was awakened by the severe urge to defecate early in the morning while he was hospitalized. 'In my mind, I'm gonna f***ing s*** out my mouth - it's trying to come out!'

Hart said he 'sat up out that bed like the Goddamn Undertaker,' referring to a fast sit-up move from the WWE wrestler.

'My stomach felt like somebody lit dynamite and threw it in my f***ing stomach and ran,' said Hart.

The comedian said he found relief from a healthcare professional named Jose who was quick to help as his urge to move his bowels worsened.

'Here's the most humbling thing in the world: Eniko is sitting on the Goddamn couch; Jose was my nurse, he's like, 60 years old, Mexican dude,' the comic recalled. 'Jose comes in and don't ask me no questions.

'Jose grabs the gauze, puts this spongy soapy s*** on the gauze, turns me round and starts wiping my a**. He said, "It's OK man, I've been doing this for 40 years ... keep it coming man."'

Hart lauded his nurse for his professionalism, adding the real takeaway was the despair he felt as his body remained immobile during his recovery.

'It was humbling how it happened,' he said. 'You really are helpless. There was nothing I could do - there was nothing I could do to stop that.'

Troubled Edo PDP also mocks troubled Edo APC... and the mockery is legendary...

All hail politicians! Troubled Edo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that on Tuesday suspended its former governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, is now mocking Edo APC which is also deeply troubled (open secret).

PDP mocked the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), over the gale of suspension rocking it.

The state chairman of PDP, Dan Orbih, who was reacting to the crisis, while addressing journalists in Benin, said that it is only in APC that the national chairman, the state chairman and the secretary, would be suspended in one day.

Orbih, who described APC as a disorganised party, wondered how it could rule the state and be expected to restore law and order.

He denied allegation that Governor Godwin Obaseki gave PDP the sum of N6 billion to enable him defect to the party.

He said: “Governor Obaseki has no business giving anybody money to join the PDP. If he has N6 billion to join PDP, I will advise him to spend that money to address the problems of the state.

“We don’t need any money from anybody to join our party. Our party is open to all those who are interested in joining us as member including Governor Obaseki. I know very well that the problems facing his government is that they don’t have a proper party structure. I see APC as a disorganised party in Edo State.

“We have heard that they have suspended the state chairman, Barrister Ojezua and another report said that the new chairman, Col David Imoise was not properly elected. The truth is that you cannot put the state in the hand of people who cannot manage themselves.”

We had s.e.x less than 3 times a year.. court documents show shocking revelation Halle Berry made during daughter's custody battle with ex, Aubry

Halle Berry made explosive claims about her ex Gabriel Aubry, accusing him of incest, racism and emotional abuse during their fight over custody of daughter Nahla, back at the turn of the decade.

New details have come to light about the case through documents obtained by Radar.com which were originally sealed by courts.

In the explosive legal documents from the 2011 case, the actress made several shocking claims about her ex.

Berry, 53, and Aubry engaged in a bitter public custody battle after their split in 2010. The couple began dating in 2005 and welcomed daughter Nahla in March 2008.

Among Berry's claims about Aubry: She reported he used racial epithets during their relationship, in addition to displaying bias by refusing to recognize their daughter as biracial.

She also discussed Gabriel's past sexual relationship with a member of his family, contending that the emotional damage from that situation ruined her and Aubry's sex life.

'After the first six months of our relationship, our sex life diminished and after one year we had sex less than three times per year,' Halle testified, according to legal documents.

Berry said that Aubry failed to deal with their issues.

'[Gabriel] refused to either recognize or accept responsibility for these issues. Instead, he criticized my body in ways which are very demeaning to women … I finally convinced [him] to go to a joint therapist to address these issues.'

She claimed Aubry admitted to having a sexual relationship with a member of his family during the time he was bouncing between foster homes.

n her deposition Berry said the relationship went on 'for years' until the unidentified partner ended things.

Berry further accused Aubry of having a history of mental health issues, suggesting he was unfit to be Nahla's primary parent.
