And Rihanna made sure to lead the glamour as she joined Cate Blanchett and Julia Roberts at the star-studded British Fashion Awards 2019 in partnership with Swarovski at the historic Royal Albert Hall in Kensington, London, on Monday night.

The superstar, 31, made an entrance in a halterneck mint green satin mini dress and wrapped a matching sheer dress coat over her statuesque frame.

Upping the style ante, the singer wore a pair of complementing gloves and satin strappy heels. She sported a statement diamond choker around her neck and diamond earrings.

The beauty mogul, who's brand Fenty won the Urban Luxe category, worked her raven-coloured hair into long braids as she posed for photos with ASAP Rocky.

Kenya Moore tearfully reveals sleeping next to both daughter and husband Marc Daily caused intimacy issues before split

Intimacy issues due to cosleeping with their baby daughter may have led to Kenya Moore's split with husband.

The 48-year-old reality star tearfully admitted on Sunday night's episode of the Real Housewives Of Atlanta that she wasn't having sex with Marc Daly, 49, partially because he always wanted to have their daughter Brooklyn in bed with them.

She teared up as she told Porsha Williams:  'The baby has changed so much in our lives.

'She’s in the bed all the time. He does not want me to put her in a crib. It’s been difficult. We [sleep together] when we can, but it definitely is not as often as I would like.


'It’s hard being in relationships, especially when you have a little one involved. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad, sometimes you feel like you want to give up. … I just don’t like where we are right now.'

Williams, 38, told Moore that she and  Daly needed 'to connect sexually.'

When asked how long it has been since the couple had slept together Moore didn't 'even want to say that number.'

Kenya and Marc released statements in September acknowledging the 'difficult decision' to end their marriage.

'He didn't last long': Prince Andrew accuser in tears as she recalls 'sex with royal'

Prince Andrew's accuser claims sex with the Royal "didn't last very long" and she had to jump straight into the shower after being left feeling "ashamed and dirty".

In a harrowing moment from tonight's BBC Panorama special, the 35-year-old mother-of-three was left in tears as she described how "disgusting" sex with the Royal reportedly was.

She claims she was 17 when the Duke of York "got up and he said thanks, and walked out", while she "sat there in bed, horrified and ashamed".

The next day, she claims, alleged madame Ghislaine Maxwell patted her on the back and told her she "did a really good job...you've made him really happy".


Prince Andrew strenuously denies the claims and says he has no recollection of ever meeting Ms Giuffre - nee Roberts.
Ms Giuffre told BBC Panorama: "There was a bath and it started there, then it led into the bedroom.

"It didn't last very long, the whole entire procedure, it was disgusting.

"He wasn't mean or anything but...

"He got up and he said thanks, and walked out.

"I sat there in bed, just horrified and ashamed and felt dirty and had to get up and go have a shower.
"And the next day Ghislaine tells me I did a really good job and she pats me on the back and tells me 'you've made him really happy'."

Fighting back tears, she describes how "it was a wicked time in my life, it was a really scary time in my life."

"I had just been abused by a member of a Royal Family," she adds.

"So when you talk about these chains, yeah I wasn't chained to a sink, these powerful people were my chains.

"I couldn't comprehend how in the highest levels of the government, powerful people were allowing this to happen. Not only allowing it to happen but participating."
At this point she breaks down and the interview is paused.

In excruciating detail, she alleged how she was brought to London by Epstein in 2001, introduced to Andrew and taken to Tramp nightclub, and asked by the duke to dance.
Andrew has denied any wrongdoing and insists he has never met Virginia, despite a picture showing him with his arm around her at the London flat of British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell.

The prince has suggested the photo was doctored.

Policeman kills Ondo driver over N50 bribe

Some truck drivers, on Monday, barricaded the Akure-Owo Expressway at Uso in the Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, to protest  the alleged killing of one of them by a policeman at a checkpoint in the town.

It was gathered that the protest halted vehicular movement on the road for several hours.

The deceased, whose identity had yet to be ascertained as of the time of filing this report, was said to be heading for the northern part of the country when the tragedy struck.

He was said to have engaged in a hot argument with the policeman, who allegedly demanded a N50 bribe from him.


A source said, “The policeman stopped the truck driver at the checkpoint and they engaged in an argument over a bribe of N50. The driver refused to offer the policeman the bribe and suddenly, the policeman shot the man in the head and he fell down and died.

“This infuriated the other truck drivers and they barricaded the road in protest.”

Another source stated that efforts made by a team of policemen, who were deployed in the scene, could not end the protest as the drivers insisted that the killer cop must face the music.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr Femi Joseph, who confirmed the incident, described it as sad and unfortunate.

He gave an assurance that the culprit would be brought to justice.

Five awaiting trial inmates electrocuted in Ikoyi prison

Five awaiting trial inmates of the Ikoyi Medium Security Custodial Centre (Ikoyi Prison), Lagos, have been electrocuted after an electric wire snapped and fell on a cell on Monday.

Punch correspondent gathered that several others were injured and rushed to hospital for treatment in the early morning incident.

A source said the casualties would have been more but for the intervention of medical workers in the centre.

Punch Metro gathered that more than 100 inmates were in the cell at the time of the incident.


The source stated, “Actually, what happened was that while some inmates were going to the courts this morning (Monday), there was a power surge.

“The surge cut off an electric wire. You know, Nigerian prisons use metal bunk beds. So, the inmates, who were close to the bunk beds, were the major casualties.

“The five deceased inmates were the closest to the bunk beds and that was why they did not survive it.

“If not for the medical workers in the prison, many more inmates would have died. The prison authorities called the power company and power was disconnected. The officers also offered first aid, which reduced the number of casualties.”

Punch correspondent gathered that the matter had been reported to the authorities in Abuja and a delegation had visited the centre for an on-the-spot assessment.

The spokesperson for the Nigerian Correctional Service, Francis Enobore, confirmed the incident.

Enobore, in a statement he issued on behalf of the Controller General of the NCS, Ja’afaru Ahmed, described the incident as “tragic and most ill-fated.”

Aregbesola has ordered a probe of the incident and directed that steps should be taken to prevent future incidents.

Whitney Houston's secret sadness and life she hid from the public

Whitney Houston 's death sent shockwaves around the world in 2012. The much-loved superstar was tragically found unconscious and submerged in the bathtub in her suite at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Paramedics were called and performed CPR, but she was pronounced dead. She was just 48.

A coroner later ruled that Whitney died by drowning and the affected of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use.

There was much Whitney hid from her fans throughout her life in the spotlight, including her decades-long struggle with drug abuse and a secret lesbian relationship.


Film Whitney: Can I Be Me delved into the star's secret sadness and the cause of her tragic downfall.

Documentary maker Nick Broomfield searched for the answers to exactly what killed Whitney.

He said: "In the end I think the divide between who she was and what her public persona was became more and more difficult. And she just went down, down, down."

It was claimed in 2016 that Whitney was bisexual, and that she had a secret lesbian relationship with her assistant Robyn Crawford, but that she kept it quiet to avoid upsetting her mother, Cissy.

Whitney's ex-husband Bobby Brown told Us Weekly magazine: "I really feel that if Robyn was accepted into Whitney’s life, Whitney would still be alive today. She didn’t have close friends with her anymore."

Cissy wrote about her dislike for Robyn in her 2013 book Remembering Whitney.

In an interview with Oprah, she was asked if she would have been bothered if her daughter was gay.

Cissy snapped back: "Absolutely."

Oprah asked: "You wouldn't have condoned it?"

And Cissy said: "Not at all."

She continued: "I didn’t particularly like [Crawford]. She just spoke too much, disrespectful sometimes, like she had something over Nippy [Whitney’s nickname], and I didn’t like that at all. She was all right, she turned out to be all right, I guess. That was her friend."

Whitney and Robyn bonded when they were teenagers and worked together at a community centre in New Jersey.

Whitney was rescued from bullies by Robyn on a number of occasions, with the star being targeted at school when her modelling career began to take off.

And when Whitney moved out of the family home, she and Robyn moved into an apartment together.

It's been claimed that deep into Whitney's 14-year marriage to Bobby, Robyn was still very much a part of her life.

Whitney's make up artist and friend Ellin Lavar gave her thoughts on the relationship in Can I Be Me.

She said: "I don’t think she was gay, I think she was bisexual. Robyn provided a safe place for her. In that Whitney found safety and solace."

And gay rights activist Peter Tatchell once said Robyn was Whitney's true love.

He told Pink News in 2012: "When I met them [Whitney and Robyn], it was obvious they were madly in love. Their intimacy and affection was so sweet and romantic."

Robyn, who quit as Whitney's assistant in 2000, did not speak in the film, but was seen in archive footage.

Whitney's ex once accused her of having an agenda.

In Derrick Handspike's unauthorised 2008 biography Bobby Brown: The Truth, The Whole Truth and Nothing But, he quoted Bobby saying: "Now I realise Whitney had a different agenda than I did when we got married. I believe her agenda was to clean up her image while mine was to be loved and have children.

"Whitney felt she had to make rumours of a lesbian affair go away. Since she was the American Sweetheart and all, that didn’t go too well with her image. In Whitney’s situation the only solution was to get married and have kids. That would kill all speculation whether it was true or not."

Whitney's security guard, Kevin Ammons, said in Can I Be Me: "Robyn and Whitney were like twins. They were inseparable. They had a bond and Bobby Brown could never remove Robyn. He wanted to be the man in the relationship."

Whitney's former bodyguard, David Roberts, says he witnessed her overdose on her 1999 tour and compiled a report for the people managing her affairs.

Documentary maker Broomfield said: "By then Whitney and Bobby were completely out of control. And I think he and various other people tried to bring that to the attention of the estate.

"He wrote that report that was incredibly detailed. And full of concern. I have a copy of it. And no one chose to act on it. Not at all."

David, who was let go from his position, claims that if the report had been taken seriously "Whitney and Bobbi Kristina would still be here".

Bobbi, Whitney and Bobby's daughter, died in 2015, at the age of 22, in very similar circumstances to her mother.

NUC uncovers 100 fake professors in varsities

The National Universities Commission has said it has uncovered about 100 fake professors across Nigerian universities.

The NUC Executive Secretary, Prof Abubakar Rasheed, stated this in the November edition of the commission’s bulletin, obtained by  Punch correspondent.

The ES noted that the commission published the details of the fake professors on its website and also sent the names to the various universities for verification.

According to the bulletin, Rasheed stated this at the 2019 retreat for Vice-Chancellors by the NUC Strategy Advisory Committee.


The NUC boss said, “The updated version of those documents will be published by December 2019 and professors in their respective universities uploaded their CV on the website which was used in the compilation of the directory. About 100 fake professors also uploaded their details but we detected them.

“This measure helped in identifying fake professors in the system. The fight against fake professors is a collective responsibility.”

The Federal Government on Monday assured Nigerians of adequate fuel supply this Yuletide.

It gave the assurance during a meeting in Abuja with stakeholders in the oil and gas sector.

The meeting, which held at the Presidential Villa, was chaired by the Chief of Staff to the President, Mr Abba Kyari.

The meeting also discussed security plans for the season and palliatives by the Ministry of Works and Housing to ensure safe journeys.

Our teachers caned us on the buttocks - Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday relived his experience in middle and secondary schools, while growing up and said his teachers never spared the rod, whenever he and his schoolmates misbehaved

“I spent nine years in the boarding school where the teachers showered us with love, care and total commitment. They treated you as their own children.

“They commended you when you did well, and flogged you on bare buttocks if you misbehaved,” said the President.

He shared his schooling experience in Daura, Katsina State, today after he was honoured by the town’s Community Secondary School, which he co-founded with five other persons, 50 years ago.


Buhari said he became an orphan at a young age, but his nine years in boarding school and joining the army shaped his life.

He said Nigeria’s socio-economic and political salvation will come from education, urging citizens to embrace learning as a way of life while the government will do its best to provide access.

He praised the current management of the school, which is now renamed Pilot Secondary School, Daura, for maintaining high standards.

President Buhari implored the old boys association to carry on the good work they were going, leading up to the current position of the school.

Simon Cowell broke down in tears during tonight's Celebrity X Factor final, worrying viewers in the process.

The business mogul, 60, was left stunned by the charity single and burst into tears when host Dermot O'Leary turned to him.

It came when he was asked for his response on the song - he was left covering his eyes and unable to speak to Dermot.

The host mentioned the charity was "close to his heart".


Turning to the judge, he said: "Simon I know both those charities are very close to your heart. What do you want to say?"

Simon paused for a moment and whispered: "Oh God," before shielding his face from the camera.


Co-star Nicole Scherzinger was quick to comfort Simon as Louis Walsh was left stunned.

His girlfriend Lauren Silverman ran onto the stage and wrapped her arms around him, before Dermot moved on and turned the camera away from clearly upset Simon.

"OK, I don't need to say anything else Simon, thank you," Dermot announced.

One concerned fan wrote: "When Simon cried oh gosh my heart".

Lagos adjusts closing, resumption dates for public primary schools

The Lagos State Government has announced the adjustment in closing date for first term year 2019/2020 and resumption date for second term Y2019/2020 school calendar. The state government through State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, announced the adjustment in a circular dated November 27, 2019.

The circular was signed by Mrs. M. A Folami, Acting Director, School Support Services for Executive Chairman, SUBEB, Folami explained that the measure has become necessary as the Public Pre-Primary School and Primary School Head Teachers and Teachers would be attending Eko Excel Pre Service Professional Development and Technology Training programme between December 2019 and January 2020.

The circular read in part, “I’m directed to inform you that the Commissioner for Education has approved that the Y2019/2020 Academic calendar for Lagos Pre-Primary and Primary schools be adjusted thus: For the first term of 2019/2020 academic session Lagos State Public Primary Schools will vacate Friday, December 6th, 2019 as against the earlier date of December 13th, 2019.

 “For the second term of 2019/2020 academic session Lagos State Public Primary Schools will resume on January 20th 2020 as against the previous date of January 6th 2020.”

Watching African movies makes one stupid – Son of the first president of Ghana

Son of the first president of Ghana Dr. Kwame Krumah, Sekou Nkrumah has bared his teeth at lovers of African movies saying it makes them stupid.

According to Dr. Sekou, Africa movies are full of ghosts, something he does not believe in and as such people who watch those movies are of the conviction that ghosts truly exist in this world.

“I don’t believe in ghosts. You watch too many African movies! Those movies make you stupid”, he responded to a comment by one Mohammed Aboagye, a known National Democratic Congress (NDC) activist who warned that the ghost of his late father would haunt him.

“I’m just imagining the kind of slaps Sekou Nkrumah will get from his father Dr. Kwame Nkrumah if they meet somewhere. His thoughts are like those who overthrew the father. #Bonsam”, Mohamed Aboagye posted earlier.

Sekou’s comment comes at a point where Ghanaians are complaining of the collapse of the movie industry which used to be very vibrant some years ago.

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott have sent fans into a tailspin after they were spotted together over the American Thanksgiving celebrations weekend - sparking hopes they have reunited.

The video is captioned: “Kylie and Travis today at a casino near Palm Springs” and has drawn attention and speculation from fans.

“Following her around like a little puppy dog , right up in her ear,” one fan wrote.

“Obviously hes hiding behind her that dosent look like a positive sign at all! Bye boy!” wrote another.

While others questioned the authenticity of the arguably hazy footage.

“Is that really stormis dad??? I dont think so... some close source says its not,” one fan wrote.

“Eyewitnesses have said while they were near one another the whole time -- reportedly hitting at least one table, grabbing drinks, chatting and otherwise perusing the grounds,” TMZ reports.

While the exact nature of Kylie and Travis’ relationship is in doubt, the pair have been vocal about wanting to share responsibility for their daughter since their shock split in the autumn.

“Travis and i are on great terms and our main focus right now is Stormi our friendship and our daughter is priority,” Kylie wrote on Twitter in October.

Benik Afobe announces the tragic death of his 2-year old daughter

Benik Afobe has announced the tragic death of his two-year-old daughter. She unexpectedly passed away after a severe infection.

Heartbroken Afobe explained how Amora was rushed to hospital but died following complications - with doctors doing everything they could.

Afobe, who is currently on loan at Bristol City from Stoke, wrote in a statement: "It is with an extremely heavy heart that the Afobe family have today confirmed the devastating news that their first child, their beloved daughter Amora, 2, passed away late on Friday.


"Amora was taken to hospital for treatment after unexpectedly developing a severe infection. Unfortunately she then suffered a number of serious complications and despite doctors doing absolutely everything that they possibly could, Amora passed away peacefully with the love of her family by her side.

"The entire family have been left totally devastated and heartbroken, and would like to ask that their privacy is respected at this incredibly difficult time."

Striker Afobe started his career at Arsenal, where he came through the academy with the likes of good friend Jack Wilshere.

3 people die as another plane crashes in the US

Three persons died when a small plane crashed on the north side of the San Antonio International Airport in Texas late on Sunday, NBC Chicago reported, citing fire officials.

The plane was on its way from Sugarland to Boerne when it developed engine problems and diverted to the San Antonio International Airport, the report added, citing San Antonio fire chief Charles Hood.

The plane crashed into a sidewalk killing all three passengers.

CNN reported that the pilot wanted to make an emergency landing when the crash occurred.


The aircraft was found on the sidewalk and street completely demolished when first responders arrived.

“There were no commercial buildings hit, no apartment complexes,” San Antonio Fire Chief Charles Hood said. “As tragic as it is, it could’ve been much worse.”

A 20-block scan of the area was conducted in every direction to ensure no debris remained, Hood said.

Australian James Bond, George Lazenby, 80, boasts about bedding more over a thousand women

George Lazenby became the youngest person to play James Bond in 1969 at just 29.

And 50 years on from the Australian actor's one-off role as 007 in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, George claims it made him an instant hit with the ladies.

Now 80, he told The Herald Sun on Sunday he has likely slept with more than a thousand women in his time, adding: 'I would go through six girls a week in London.'

The former car salesman is the only Australian to have ever played 007, with the coveted role his first-ever acting gig.

Speaking of his promiscuous period abroad, George said: 'It was the time of the pill, mini-skirts, the girls were crazy. You had to run and hide after a while.'

He said the rumour of him bedding a thousand women was most likely true, explaining: 'There wasn't anything better to do. I don't know, I never counted but it went on from 1964 until 1980 when AIDS came in. I didn't want to die for it.'

However, the former male model's most astonishing sexual admission came from the set of the James Bond film.

'I was messing with the receptionist at the hotel in the stuntman's tent and she [co-star Diana Rigg] was walking up the path and the boys lifted the side of the tent up and there I was on the job. That blew it with Diana and me' he recalled.

The legendary star received a Golden Globe nomination for his portrayal of 007, but refused to make another Bond film as he thought the franchise was 'over'.

George previously told The Lady magazine that he had made the decision not to return for a second film, despite the misconception that he had been fired from the franchise.

'My manager told me James Bond was over,' he said.
