Photos: Inside the cell where Jeffrey Epstein 'killed himself'

Graphic photographs from Jeffrey Epstein's autopsy have revealed for the first time his bloody neck wound - as other images taken inside his New York prison cell show several nooses fashioned from bed sheets, pills and electrical cords.

The images, which were obtained by 60 Minutes and shown publicly for the first time on Sunday, were taken by the New York City medical examiner's office after Epstein killed himself in his cell last August.

The millionaire pedophile's death at Manhattan's Metropolitan Correctional Center - while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges - was officially ruled as a suicide by hanging.

His death prompted widespread conspiracy theories and speculation that he had instead been murdered.

The photos from inside his cell reveal that fragments of material were found hanging from a window, while a large strip of bedding was also looped through a hole on the top bunk bed.

Chloe Green poses up a storm in strapless bikini

She has been littering social media with snaps of her enviable figure and lifestyle.

And Chloe Green was up to her old tricks once more on Saturday as she shared an image of herself posing on an immaculate beach in a mystery, palm tree-laden location.

The Topshop heiress, 28, turned up the heat over festive season as she posed up a storm in a variety of racy bikinis, including a topless shot of her doing a headstand on a paddle board.

The star's stunning backdrop this time around was the perfect beach, where she candidly leaned on an exotic tree in a khaki green two piece bikini.

Oprah Winfrey and Lady Gaga cry as singer reveals she developed PTSD after being r.a.p.e.d repeatedly at 19

She kicked off her 2020 Vision: Your Life In Focus Tour on Saturday in Florida. And gracing Oprah's, 65, national tour as the first guest, was none other than 'the incomparable' Lady Gaga.

The 33-year-old took to the stage where she candidly opened up to the 15,000 person crowd about her PTSD after being raped, bringing the talk-show queen to tears.

Gaga, who suffers from fibromyalgia, revealed that even during the hour-long chat she was in 'head-to-toe pain,' according to Rolling Stone.

'What’s interesting about it is that I’ve found through neuropsych research and my relationship with my doctors that fibromyalgia can be treated through mental health therapy,' she shared.

'And mental health is a medical condition, it should be treated as a medical condition. It should not be ignored.'

The A Star Is Born actress, who rocked bright pink hair and a black power suit, went on to open up about being repeatedly raped when she was still a teen.

'I was raped repeatedly when I was 19 years old, and I also developed PTSD as a result of being raped and also not processing that trauma,' she shared.

'I all of a sudden became a star and was traveling the world going from hotel room to garage to limo to stage, and I never dealt with it, and then all of a sudden I started to experience this incredible intense pain throughout my entire body that mimicked the illness I felt after I was r.a.p.e.d.'

In an IGTV video following their on-stage chat, Oprah was seen tearfully searching for the singer.

'You were so amazing. You were so good. You were so vulnerable, you were so real, I couldn't even believe you were doing that. I was like, "Am I hearing correctly?" Oh my you were so real,' Oprah said through the tears.

And while the talk show queen was saying all those kind and heart warming things, Gaga couldn't help but cry herself.

'You were so good, so strong, so you, it was so good. Thank you for doing that for me.'

Gaga replied: 'Of course, that's what happens when you're in the presence of an angel.'

The powerful duo continued to compliment each other for the vulnerable confessions in front of the crowd.

Macron speaks to Trump, says Iran must not escalate situation

Emmanuel Macron expressed France’s solidarity with its allies during a telephone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday and said Iran must avoid “destabilizing” actions after a top Iranian military commander was killed in a U.S. air strike in Baghdad.

“Given the recent rise in tensions in Iraq and the region, the President of the Republic highlighted his total solidarity with our allies in light of the attacks carried out in recent weeks against the coalition in Iraq,” Macron’s office said in a statement.

“He also expressed his concerns regarding the destabilizing activities of the Quds force under General Qassem Soleimani and highlighted the need for Iran... to avoid taking any measures that could lead to an escalation in the situation and destabilizing the region.”

Jennifer Lopez leads the list of worst-dressed stars at the Golden Globes

Jennifer Lopez is expected to be the big winner of the night at the 77th annual Golden Globes - but the Hustlers star suffered a rather unexpected fail before even making it into the ceremony thanks to her baffling ensemble.

The 50-year-old made quite the statement as she arrived at the event, looking not unlike an over-the-top Christmas gift in her green, white, and gold gown.

As if the color scheme wasn't festive enough, the voluminous dress also featured an enormous array of bow embellishments on the front, leaving the star looking as though she was set to be placed under a Christmas tree - not up on stage accepting a Best Support Actress award.

Despite the rather awkward fashion flop, Jennifer, who attended the award show with her fiance Alex Rodriguez, still managed to look incredibly glamorous thanks to her beautiful hair and makeup - and the incredible jewels dangling from her neck and ears.

Jennifer was certainly not the only big-name star of the night to face a fashion-focused struggle.

Joining the Golden Globe nominee on the list is The Politician star Gwyneth Paltrow, who wore an incredibly scandalous sheer brown dress that left far too little to the imagination, exposing both her bra and underwear - which were all the more visible when the actress turned around and showed off the dress from behind.

Golden Globes: Eddie Murphy & fiancee dazzle on red carpet

Eddie Murphy and Paige Butcher were Hollywood royalty as they made their way down the red carpet at the 77th Golden Globe Awards held Sunday at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.

The Dolemite Is My Name actor, 58, donned a dark burgundy velvet jacket with black pants to the proceedings, with black sunglasses and shoes.

Butcher, a 40-year-old Perth, Australia native, looked amazing in a high-low strapless dress with a grey top and black bottom, with sandal heels and a furry black clutch. Her straight blonde locks were parted and down as she made her way down the red carpet at the ceremony.

The duo, who confirmed their engagement in September of 2018, are parents to two children: three-year-old daughter Izzy and one-year-old son Max.

Murphy has 10 children in all, five with ex-wife Nicole Murphy, and one each from past relationships with Mel B, Tamara Hood and Paulette McNeely.

Beyonce wears busty gold gown as she turns up fashionably late to Golden Globes ceremony with Jay-Z

Beyoncé turned up fashionably late to the Golden Globes on Sunday night. The 38-year-old singer, who was nominated for her fourth Golden Globe, skipped the red carpet, but crept in with Jay-Z almost an hour after it began.

One person in attendance noted that the couple arrived when Kate McKinnon was presenting Ellen DeGeneres with the Carol Burnett Award for Achievement in Television.
They were accompanied by their bodyguard, who appeared to carry their own bottles of champagne.

Beyoncé wore a showstopping gown of course, putting her décolletage on show in a plunging black and gold ensemble.

She wore a sleeveless black gown, which featured two oversized shimmering gold puffy shoulders.

They were tucked into a high-waisted floor-length black skirt, which hugged her gorgeous curves.
She accessorized the look with a pair of sparkling diamond chandelier earrings peaking out from her hair.

The Dreamgirls star was accompanied by Jay-Z, who looked sharp in a classic black tuxedo.

Beyoncé was also among the evening's nominees, receiving a Best Original Song nod for Spirit from The Lion King, which she ultimately lost to I'm Gonna Love Me Again from Rocketman.

Golden Globes 2020: Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift lead the glamour on the red carpet

It's one of the most important nights in Hollywood - and the stars certainly haven't disappointed when it comes to their glitzy Golden Globes attire.

Kicking off awards season in style, Jennifer Aniston led the glamour on the red carpet as she arrived in a show-stopping black strapless gown.

The former Friends star - who is up for several awards for her starring role in The Morning Show - oozed old Hollywood glamour in the sleek and sophisticated gown.

Allowing her dress to take centre stage, Jennifer styled her hair in her signature lose waves and wore a layered diamond necklace to add a little glitz to her monochrome look.

Rather than her on-stage uniform of mini skirts and sequin tuxedo jackets, Taylor Swift chose a vintage-inspired floral maxi dress which showed off her midriff.

The star - who is nominated for an award for Cats - showed off the sophisticated train of her dress as she made her way into the ceremony separately from her boyfriend Joe Alwyn.

Taking a leaf out of Jennifer Aniston's book, Scarlett Johansson also paid tribute to Old Hollywood with her classic red satin gown - complete with a plunging V-neckline and voluminous train.

Phone thief arrested in 2017 caught stealing again

A suspect who had been arrested and charged for pickpocketing and stealing in 2017 by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command, was again rearrested by RRS for similar offence.

The suspect, Tunde Ajeigbe 27-years-old, with two other accomplices (Ekene and Bolenbe) allegedly rode a motorcycle to 7Up to rob unsuspecting members of the public. Tunde jumped down from the bike and snatched an android phone from a passenger travelling on a commercial bus.

He thereafter joined his cohorts on the bike and sped off but luck was against them as eyes witnesses who were at the scene of the crime gave them a hot chase from that spot until they got to Otedola Bridge and alerted RRS men underneath the bridge.

The policemen gave the fleeing thieves a hot chase forcing them to abandon their motorcycle and made for the bush before Tunde was arrested. The two others escaped.

In his confessional statement with the police, Tunde confessed to have been arrested for a similar offence sometime in 2017 and was charged to court for the crime.

“I was arrested around Ojota after I snatched a lady’s phone and got caught by the police’.

“I was remanded in the prison since then and was released on 19th of November 2019 but couldn’t go back to my wife and child. I went back to the house I rented before going to prison but couldn’t find my properties and my family again so I made for the street again.

“I went back to Oshodi under bridge to go join my friends again who gave me clothes to wear and bought me food before we went back into our usual job.

“Although, after spending some days in Mushin, some of my area brothers who knew I just came from prison helped me secure a motorcycle on hire purchase but that wasn’t enough for me as I wanted to make quick money to go see my mother in the village after leaving home for three years without seeing her.

“My aged mother would be worried after I left home without returning and no one knew my whereabouts as my wife never informed my family that I have been arrested and remanded in the prison. I, therefore, sought to steal again to raise some money but unfortunately I was caught.”

Both Ekene and Bolenbe are at large and the police are still on their trail but a motorcycle with registration number FST-279 QJ was recovered from the thieves while they escaped with the stolen phone.

Commenting on the development, the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, warned all criminal elements in the state to stay off as the command will not allow any hiding place for them. He vowed to fetch them out while he ordered the case be transferred to Special Anti Robbery Squad for further investigations.

World War 3 fears as Iran puts $80m bounty on Donald Trump’s head and threatens to attack the White House

Iran has put an $80million bounty on the head of Donald Trump as it vowed to attack the White House.

The chilling announcement was broadcast live as millions of Iranians to the streets for the televised funeral of assassinated General Qasem Soleimani.

Iran also vowed to ramp up its nukes program as it tonight pulled out of its 2015 nuclear deal.

The government announced - as hundreds of thousands took to the streets in Mashhad to mourn General Soleimani - it will no longer abide by any restrictions on its operations put in place by the deal.

State TV announced the bounty, saying: “Iran has 80 million inhabitants. Based on the Iranian population, we want to raise $80million (£61million) which is a reward for those who get close to the head of President Trump."

In response, Trump said America would strike back immediately and possibly "disproportionately" if they acted.

He tweeted: "These Media Posts will serve as notification to the United States Congress that should Iran strike any U.S. person or target, the United States will quickly and fully strike back and perhaps in a disproportionate manner."

It comes as the two country's teeter on the brink of war after Iran threatened to attack the White House while branding Donald Trump a "terrorist in a suit" after he vowed to target 52 sites in the Islamic Republic.

The menacing message was delivered by Iranian politician Abolfazl Abutorabi, who labelled the US’s deadly strike on General Soleimani “a declaration of war”.

He said: “'We can attack the White House itself, we can respond to them on the American soil. We have the power, and God willing we will respond in an appropriate time.

Pastor Bakare unveils the true enemies of Nigeria

The General Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare on Sunday unveiled a long list of the true enemies of Nigeria and among them are not just the mighty political, religious and economic lords, but also the common man.

Bakare in an illuminating speech on the state of the nation to mark the beginning of a new decade said the true enemies are found in every level of government, from the local to the state to the federal levels, and in every arm of government in Nigeria.

“Fellow Nigerians, the true enemies of our nation are found at every level of government, from the local to the state to the federal levels, and in every arm of government. They can also be found on the streets, in households and in the marketplace.

The true enemies of Nigeria are those who, paraphrasing the words of George Washington, seek to build their greatness upon their country’s ruin. John Addison had earlier foreshadowed this sentiment when he asked the vital question: “Is there not some chosen curse, some hidden thunder in the stores of heaven, red with uncommon wrath, to blast the man who owes his greatness to his country’s ruin?”

“As it is with the leadership, so it is with the citizenry. Leaders and citizens have their citizenship in common; they are drawn from among us and are a reflection of our basest instincts or our highest ideals at every level of government. In Nigeria, the vast majority of our people regularly take turns perpetuating the cycle of corruption either as beneficiaries or benefactors.

These enemies in citizens’ clothing are those who choose to be spectators while the nation goes down the drain on their watch; those perverts on the pulpit who hide under togas of godliness to manipulate the vulnerable; those economic behemoths who window dress their underhandedness with filthlanthropy; those who are perpetually “not on seat” because they can’t “come and go and die;” those who rob, rape, raze, pillage, abduct, murder, dismember in the name of hunger or misguided rage; those who sell their votes or connive with political bandits to short-change their children’s children; those who partake of loot and celebrate looters from the same ethnic group or religious organisation; those who say of the looters, “We know say na thief, but this thief na our thief.” These are the true enemies of Nigeria.

“At the local level of government, the true enemies of our nation are those agents of oppression who place excruciating multiple tax burdens on often defenceless Nigerians – the petty traders, okada riders, keke drivers, bricklayers, pepper grinders, carpenters, vulcanisers, mechanics and other artisans – not because they want to amass the proceeds for the benefit of the people, but because they must make remittances to their morally bankrupt political benefactors. These are the true enemies of Nigeria.

“At the state level, the true enemies of Nigeria are those state governments that feed fat on unaccounted-for security votes; those who deploy the paraphernalia of office in their selfish interests rather than in the service of the people; those who connive with zonal political oligarchs to personalise and privatise the state; those who deploy the force of state to quell dissent; those who paralyse local governance structures in such a manner that discredits genuine arguments for restructuring and devolution of powers; those who give critics an excuse to postulate that if state governments are already abusing the little power they currently wield, what will they do if we devolve yet more powers to them? These power-drunk state officials are the true enemies of Nigeria.
17/25

“At the zonal level, the enemies of Nigeria are those who have perverted their influence and turned the states within their zones of influence into personal estates.

They are the political puppeteers who rig the system to enthrone their stooges and use them to corner resources and opportunities. They are the political bandits and pseudo- democrats who are maniacal in merchandising the will of the people, from masterminding vote-buying to engineering seemingly spontaneous outbreaks of political violence. These are the true enemies of Nigeria.

“At the federal level, the true enemies of Nigeria are in every arm of government. In the judiciary, they are judges who pervert justice and auction judgements to the highest bidder.

In the legislature, they are those legislators who rob the nation “under the guise of constituency projects” and are quick to pass laws that undermine our national freedoms, thereby threatening our national stability.

In the executive arm of government, the enemies of our nation are those who deploy the machinery of state against hapless citizens; those who serve self rather than the people; adversaries clad as advisers who could inadvertently destroy the legacy of any president through fabricated facts and contrived counsel in a bid to protect their political careers.

“These are the true enemies that we must stand up against, not the angry young fellow who throws salvos at Mr President hoping to get a few retweets, not the journalist who stares the government squarely in the face, and certainly not the dissenting voice in the midst of sycophants”.

Bakare urged Nigerians in this new decade to stand up against the true enemies highlighted in his statement at all levels rather than attack journalists who criticise the government or youths who use the social media as a tool of mobilisation.

APC may break into four parties, cleric warns

The Founder and President of Shiloh Word Chapel, Abuja, Prophet Samuel Ikechukwu, has warned the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), against impending break up of the party, except it takes proactive steps to avert it.

Ikechukwu, who announced this as part of his prophetic insight into the year 2020 and beyond, while coming down from prayer mountain, also forewarned against the death of an unnamed president of a nation.

“The present ruling party, APC should maintain unity, if not, your party will crash and divide into four over night, to fight one another.

“I saw a president slumped and the flag lowered in 2020. God have mercy,” he warned.

For incumbent and past governors, the cleric warned against alarming scandals and political setups, said more leaders will go to jail.

He said: “I see more leaders going to jail and lots of assassinations. Remember all governors and ex-governors in prayers against health cases that will be alarming, political setups and great political scandals.

“Nigerian judicial system shall be sanitised. From now on, I see the UN and America getting involved in Nigeria’s affairs politically and on religion related-related matters.”

Ikechukwu also earned Christians in the country to brace up for difficult times and persecution from the government.

“Christians be ready for real persecutions by new laws and war of faith. I see religious leaders in Nigeria and Africa fighting and betraying, haunting each other, as trials increase in the church, instead of coming together to pray,” he said.

Rivers bans 437 schools from operating

Tough times await thousands of parents and guardians in Rivers State, whose children and wards attend any of the 437 private schools banned by the Rivers Government, through State Ministry of Education from resuming for the second term 2019/2020 academic session on Monday, 6 January, 2020.

Ahead of the resumption of schools, the Rivers Government had banned 437 unaccredited and unapproved private schools from reopening for next Academic session and also to cease operating in the state.

PM News Correspondent who has been following the event reports that if the state government goes ahead with its threat, most students and pupils will be forced out of school due to inability to secure admission and few schools available to absorb children to be displaced from schools.

The affected 437 schools did not scale through the laid out criteria set by the State Ministry of Education which was handed down to the Committee led by Professor Ozo Mekuri Ndimele, the Vice-Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education to screen, accredit and approve schools to operate.
