World’s first transgender children’s doll with p.e.n.i.s underneath women’s clothes spotted on sale in toy store

The world 's first transgender doll has gone on sale in a Russian toy shop.

Pics of the doll  - which features a p.e.n.i.s and dress - have gone viral after being spotted in Planeta Igrushek (Planet Of Toys) shop in the city of Novosibirsk, Siberia.

The images, posted online, show a doll with long blonde hair and female facial features.

And underneath a red and yellow polka dot dress, there appears to be male genitalia.

The doll is the first of its kind spotted in Russia - and thought to be among the first child transgender dolls in the world.

A transgender doll divided opinion in Argentina when it went on sale at Toys R Us in 2018, while in 2019 toy company Mattel announced a gender neutral Barbie doll.

The images attracted opinion on social media, with one writing: "Is it ok to produce toys like that for children?"

Another said: "All they have to do is buy a medical tool kit and the kid can learn how to amputate."

But some people were unimpressed by the forward thinking toy.

One user wrote: "I think it is really terrible what is going on in this child's parent's head.

"Have you considered that it could simply be a manufacturing defect? Or they accidentally put a female head on a male body?"

Another simply wrote: "I believe this is a liberal attempt to change the society."

UK makes fresh bid to confiscate Ibori’s £117m assets

A British prosecutor launched a fresh attempt on Thursday to confiscate tens of millions of pounds stolen from an oil-producing state in Nigeria by its former governor, who was convicted of laundering his loot in Britain.

James Ibori, who was governor of Delta State from 1999 to 2007, pleaded guilty at London’s Southwark Crown Court in 2012 to 10 counts of fraud and money-laundering. He received a 13-year jail sentence.

The case was a rare example of a prominent Nigerian politician being punished for his part in the endemic corruption that has blighted Africa’s most populous country for decades. Since then, several other Nigerian former state governors have been convicted in their own country.

Having served half of his sentence in pre- and post-trial detention, Ibori was released from jail in December 2016 and is now back in Nigeria.

In 2013, a first attempt was made in Britain to confiscate his assets, but it was aborted after three weeks of hearings because of unresolved legal disputes.

Then the confiscation process was stalled for several years while Ibori and several of his associates, who had been convicted for their roles in laundering his money, appealed unsuccessfully against their convictions.

Restarting the process at Southwark on Thursday, prosecution counsel Jonathan Kinnear began listing assets that Britain seeks to confiscate from Ibori and return to Nigerian public funds.

The total value of the known proceeds of his crimes came to 117 million pounds ($153 million), he said. However, only a portion of that sum is likely to be recoverable.

During his time in office, Ibori, 57, amassed a portfolio of luxury properties in Nigeria, London, Washington, Houston and Johannesburg. He traveled all over the world, staying in the most expensive hotels and spending lavishly in luxury stores.

His lifestyle during those years was a far cry from his modest beginnings in life. As a young man, he had worked as a shop assistant at a branch of the home improvements chain Wickes in London, where he was caught trying to steal from the store and was convicted of theft.

Britain’s National Crime Agency estimates that around 1 billion pounds in dirty money moves into or through the United Kingdom every year. Ibori is one of the only ultimate beneficiaries of such practices to have been convicted.

The case is expected to last around four weeks.

10-year-old pupil stabs colleague to death in fight over girl

Police in Bududa District in eastern Uganda are hunting for a 10-year-old pupil for allegedly stabbing to death a colleague he accused of having an affair with his 11-year-old girlfriend.

The suspect, a pupil of Buwali Primary School and resident of Bunamubi trading centre in Bunamubi Parish in Bukigai Sub County is currently on the run with his father.

Police identified the victim as Sam Watsosi, 16. Watsosi was allegedly stabbed with a knife below the naval area on Sunday on suspicion that he was dating the suspect’s longtime girlfriend.

After the incident, which happened at Bunamubi trading center in Bunamubi Parish in Bukigai Sub County, Watsosi was rushed to Bududa hospital bleeding profusely.

He died on Monday evening. He was a senior two student at Bulucheke Secondary School in Bududa District.

The body was still at the hospital mortuary awaiting autopsy.

Bududa District Police Commander (DPC) Mr Jaffar Magyezi, confirmed the incident on Wednesday morning and said they were hunting for the suspect.

“We are hunting for the pupil, who is currently on the run with his father following the death his colleague,” he said.

There's high tension in the area as the relatives of the deceased threatening to attack the family of the suspect in retaliation.

However, Mr Maggyezi asked Watsosi’s family to exercise restraint, saying the suspect will be apprehended and charged with murder in court.

Mr Charles Mutabali Kibeti, the LCIII chairperson of Bunamubi trading centre, described the incident as regrettable.”

“It was an unfortunate incident but we request the relatives of the deceased to refrain from seeking for revenge,” he said.

The LCIII chairperson, Bukigai Sub-county, said the incident was a sign of moral decay in the community.

“It is very surprising that a 10-year-old boy can have a girlfriend, whom he is willing to do anything to protect at such a tender age,” he said.

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott ‘ready for second baby together ASAP’

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott are “ready for a second baby together,” a source has sensationally claimed.

The couple, who have almost 2-year-old Stormi Webster together, have continued to work as coparents since their split in October – but their family setup could be about to change.

According to the rapper, his feelings about Kylie haven't changed at all.

In a recent interview with XXL , Travis sent a message to Kylie, saying he still loves her and "always will."

"The hard part about relationships is just trying to be in one without a million outside voices interfering," he added.

Travis also talked about the big role Stormi plays in his life, saying, “I’ve been spending time with my family and with my daughter, Stormi. Being a dad is better than what I thought it would be."

And now a source has told RadarOnline, the couple may be ready to have another baby.

“Kylie’s convinced herself there’s no better option out there than Travis, who totally gets her and is a perfect dad as well as someone who can cope with her fame levels,” the source said.

Sanwo-Olu sacks Commissioner in Cabinet reshuffle

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has sacked Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Shulamite Olufunke Adebolu in a minor Cabinet reshuffle.

Mrs. Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf, erstwhile Commissioner for Home Affairs has been redeployed to head the Tourism Ministry.

Her sack was tactical as the governor omitted her name from the list of commissioners redeployed.

Her portfolio had been given to another without her being redeployed to another ministry.

However, in the cabinet reshuffle, eight cabinet portfolios affected by the redeployment include ministries of Local Government, Special Duties, Wealth Creation and Employment, Tourism, Arts and Culture, Home Affairs as well as Waterfront Infrastructure. Others are the Central Business District and Urban Development.

According to Akosile, Governor Sanwo-Olu has moved three commissioners around, while two Special Advisers have been assigned new roles as commissioners. Affected commissioners and their new portfolios are: Commissioner for Special Duties, Dr. Wale Ahmed who has now been moved to Local Government and Community Affairs; Mrs. Yetunde Arobieke, formerly Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs has been moved to the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment.

Also, Mrs. Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf has been moved from the Ministry of Home Affairs to the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture as Commissioner.

At least 15 killed in Mali night attack

There are reports from central Mali that at least 15 people have been killed in an overnight attack on a Fulani village.

A security official told the French news agency that some of the victims had their throats slit during the attack on Sinda village near the town of Douentza in the Mopti region of central Mali.

A local official said Dozo traditional hunters carried out the killings.

Ethnic violence in the area has grown worse following the proliferation of Islamist armed groups.

Correspondents say some communities perceive the Fulani as being close to the jihadists as they recruit from their villages.

We will sustain efforts to end child marriage -Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari, has vowed that his administration would sustain ongoing efforts to end child marriage and improve girl-child education in the country.

Speaking at the commission of the headquarters building of the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs in Abuja, Buhari said it was the collective duty of all to ensure that mothers of today and tomorrow were educated, encouraged and empowered.

He said, “Our quest is to ensure that concerns of women, children, and other vulnerable citizens are given prominence and ultimately addressed. A key priority of our government is the development and implementation of social inclusion and economic sustenance policies.

“Our determination is to ensure that economic growth and prosperity are felt by as wide a circle as possible. In particular, we are laying great emphasis on education of the girl-child. The high level of young girls who are out of school, or unable to complete school due to socio-economic pressures, is disturbing and must be addressed.

Southwest may lose 2023 Presidency because of Amotekun – Miyetti Allah

Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, the umbrella association of Fulani herdsmen,  has warned that Southwest may lose the 2023 presidency for their support for the region’s security outfit, Operation Amotekun.

Alhassan Saleh, Miyetti Allah’s National Secretary, said the herders were disappointed with the way Southwest governors were supporting Amotekun.

“This Amotekun scheme is political and is not the solution to the problem of insecurity. What the South-West governors should have done is to continue to push for state police. Where did they expect to get the funding from at a time some of them are struggling to pay salaries?

“It is best they give up on this idea because it may affect the chances of the South-West to produce the President in 2023. The thinking is that if the South-West, a major stakeholder in this government, can be toying with this idea now, they may do worse when they get to power,” Saleh told the Punch in an interview.

Saleh said the decision of the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, declaring the outfit illegal, was in order and that the group fully supported him.

Woman who suffered seven miscarriages and spent N23,600,000 on IVF becomes a mother

A woman who suffered seven heartbreaking miscarriages is finally about to become a mum - thanks to her best friend of 20 years.

Sophie Smith, 33, and her husband Jack, 36, had given up hope of ever becoming parents to their own children after spending six years and £50,000 on IVF desperately trying to conceive.

The couple, from Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, went through five devastating miscarriages and two ectopic pregnancies that required both of her fallopian tubes to be removed - leaving Sophie unable to have children of her own.

But their despair turned to joy when Sophie's best friend, Emiliana Hall, stepped in and offered to carry a baby for the couple.

The mum-of-two was pregnant with her son Theo, now two, at the time but was determined to give her friends ‘the greatest gift of life’.

And now, the best pals - who stuck up a friendship on their first day in secondary school - are delighted to be shopping for baby-grows together as Emiliana is six-months pregnant with Sophie and Jack's baby.

Sophie, a fashion buyer, said: "I believe it was fate that I met Em at 12-years-old during our first year of secondary school.

“If someone had told me 20 years ago, that one of my best friends would go on to carry my genetic baby I would have laughed.

“But all that time has been building up this moment, one I now believe was always meant to be.

“We have always had a strong friendship, even after she once ordered four taxis to turn up to my house at 2am on a school night as a joke.

“She has saved us from our immense pain and given us back our hope by offering to be our surrogate."

Nnamdi Kanu declares support for Amotekun

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), has thrown his weight behind Operation Amotekun, the regional security outfit of Nigeria's Southwest geopolitical region.

Backing Southwest governors against the federal Government's stance, Kanu maintained that the security outfit had come to stay.

In a statement through IPOB Spokesperson, Emma Powerful, Kanu praised Southwest governors for setting up the security outfit, as he described it as a laudable effort.

The statement read, “The final and definitive stance of the Biafran people is that IPOB will support Operation Amotekun with all our might.

“Regardless of the history of politics that may have existed between the East and the West in the past, we have sworn to work with this generation of Yoruba leadership with the likes of Pa Ayo Adebanjo, Yinka Odumakin, Femi Fani-Kayode and Omoyele Sowore at the helm.

“I will support this generation of Yorubas that setup Amotekun. IPOB will work with them. If they want one million men, I will give them to ensure this expansionism is stopped.

“We will support the Yorubas in all forms and by every means necessary.

“IPOB will back Amotekun Security Outfit. Amotekun is not going anywhere. They are here to stay and IPOB will support them."

Patrick Stewart celebrates Picard launch by kissing fellow actor

Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart packed on the PDA when they met up at the premiere of Sir Patrick’s new show Star Trek: Picard.

The famously close actors posed together on the white carpet at the launch in London. Sir Ian made it a memorable moment by getting down on one knee to jokingly propose to his pal.

The X-Men star clearly said ‘yes’ as they gave each other a peck on the lips.

Patrick, 79, looked dapper in an all black suit which he teamed with black shoes and black glasses. Sir Ian, 80, was dressed for the January weather in a grey hat with a long checked coat over a dark suit with a blue, pattered scarf.

The Star Trek actor was also supported by his wife Sunny Ozell, 41, on the night, who looked stunning in a knee-length pink sequinned dress.

Akwa Ibom comedian arrested over Facebook posts

A popular stand-up comedian in Akwa Ibom State has been arrested by the police allegedly on the order of an Akwa Ibom government official.

The comedian, whose stage name is Sir James, was arrested on Wednesday in Uyo. He is accused of posting “injurious” comments on Facebook against the commissioner for tourism in the state, Orman Esin, two persons in the entertainment industry in the state told Premium Times on Thursday.

Sir James, before his arrest, took to Facebook to launch a vigorous campaign against an alleged poor treatment of local entertainers by state officials.

He specifically accused the commissioner, Mr Esin, and his ministry of refusing to pay or underpaying several artistes who performed in a state-organised event during the Christmas holiday.

“I heard the Commissioner’s house is receiving unexpected guests this morning & currently paying some artistes,” Sir James wrote a few days ago on the social media site.

“Some people who called me for direction to his house are now send me ‘Thank You’ & ‘God Bless’.

“Hurry up, go & get your money coz he may be going overseas for vacation with his family this weekend,” he added.

In another Facebook post, the comedian said he was not afraid of litigation or arrest.

“The problem is not that he accused the commissioner of not paying entertainers, the problem is that he published the commissioner’s house address and phone number on Facebook,” one entertainer told Premium Times Thursday.

Having more s.e.x makes early menopause less likely, research finds

Women who have s.e.x more often are less likely to have an early menopause, according to research that raises the intriguing possibility that lifestyle factors could play a more significant role than previously thought in determining when the menopause occurs.

The study, based on data collected from nearly 3,000 women who were followed for 10 years, found that those who reported engaging in sexual activity weekly were 28% less likely to have experienced menopause at any given age than women who engaged in sexual activity less than monthly.

Megan Arnot, a PhD student at UCL and the study’s first author, said the findings suggest that if a woman is not having s.e.x – and there is no chance of pregnancy – the body might “choose” not to invest in ovulation.

“There may be a biological energetic trade-off between investing energy into ovulation and investing elsewhere, such as keeping active by looking after grandchildren,” she said.

The study, published in the journal Royal Society Open Science, found that women of any age who had s.e.x weekly were 28% less likely to experience the menopause compared with those who had sex less than monthly. Those who had s.e.x monthly were 19% less likely to experience menopause at any given age compared with those who had s.e.x less than monthly.

The researchers have yet to establish what the biological mechanism might be that would result in sexual activity actively influencing when a woman’s reproductive cycle comes to an end.

The menopause is thought to occur when the number of maturing egg follicles in the ovaries drops beneath a critical threshold.

One possibility is that sexual activity stimulates the release of oestrogen, which plays a role in the complex cascade of chemical signals that result in an egg being released each month before the menopause. But the study did not test this directly. A challenge, Arnot said, is that “the whole hormonal mechanisms surrounding the menopause is really poorly understood”, meaning the work does not slot neatly into a well-established framework.

Another possibility is that the two factors – how often a woman has sex and age at menopause – are both determined by some other hormonal or biological factor that was not measured in the study. In this case the link would not be causal.

The study looked at whether living with a male partner played a part but found no link, suggesting that exposure to male pheromones did not explain the findings.

Prof Ruth Mace, an evolutionary anthropologist at UCL and the paper’s senior author, said: “The menopause is, of course, an inevitability for women, and there is no behavioural intervention that will prevent reproductive cessation. Nonetheless, these results are an initial indication that menopause timing may be adaptive in response to the likelihood of becoming pregnant.”

Gunman opens fire in Russian court

A suspect armed with a rifle opened fire in a Russian courthouse killing one man and injuring a woman.

The attack according to report occurred early morning on Thursday. A male court officer suffered a gunshot wound to his stomach in the attack and died in an ambulance en route to the hospital.

The prosecutor’s office in Kemerovo Region, where the magistrates’ court is located, has launched a probe into the incident.

There has been conflicting information about the identity of the attacker.

There were unconfirmed reports that the assailant might have been an aggrieved defendant who left the courtroom mid-hearing, only to return with a firearm that he allegedly kept in his vehicle. As the man re-entered the building, armed with a deadly weapon, a court officer attempted to stop him but was shot dead in the process, a law enforcement source told TASS.

The shooter then moved to the courtroom, where he fired at another person, the source told the Agency.

However, another source reportedly revealed that knowledge of the investigation told Interfax news agency that the shooter was, in fact, a victim in a criminal case.

“It has been preliminarily established that the gunman was a victim in a criminal case that was being heard by the court. The injured woman is a witness,” the source said.

Man who claims he was unjustly detained over Hanan Buhari's 'sim card' sues her and DSS for N500m

Tope Akinyode, lawyer to Mr Anthony Okolie, an Asaba-based businessman detained for 10 weeks by the DSS for owning a SIM card previously registered in Hanan Buhari’s name, has made good his threat to sue all the parties involved in Okolie’s ordeal.

A suit has now been filed in which Okolie is asking President Buhari’s daughter, the Department of State Services (DSS) and MTN, to pay him N500 million compensation.

Mr Okolie, 33, was arrested on July 19, 2019 in Asaba.

The suit, with number FHC/ASB/CS/3/2020, is seeking an order to “compel the respondents (DSS, Hanan and MTN) jointly or severally to pay the applicant the sum of N500,000,000 only as general and aggravated damages for the gross and unlawful violation of the applicant’s right to acquire moveable properties, freedom of movement and self-dignity.”

Okolie said in the suit that he was detained with handcuffs until September 22, 2019, as the DSS waited for Hanan, who was schooling in the United Kingdom, to come and clear him but she never did.

The trader also attached the receipt he was issued after purchasing the SIM card as well as the SIM certificate.

According to the affidavit, he bought the SIM card on December 8, 2018, with phone number, 09035666662, for the sum of N1,000.

Okolie asked the court to declare that his long detention was an abuse of his fundamental human rights and that the actions of the DSS contravened sections 35 and 34 of the 1999 Constitution.
