Prince Harry arrives UK for a final round of royal engagements before Megxit

Prince Harry has arrived in Edinburgh to host a sustainable travel conference in his first public appearance in the UK since announcing he was quitting as a senior royal.

He arrived in Scotland on a train from London as he returned to the UK for a final round of royal engagements before he steps down at the end of March.

The Duke of Sussex will kick things off on Wednesday with a summit for Travalyst, a sustainable tourism partnership that he launched last year.

Its launch was overshadowed by an on-going controversy about the Sussexes use of private jets while campaigning on the dangers of climate change.


Harry is expected to unveil a new holiday scheme with a ‘scoring system’ to help jet-setters pick environmentally-friendly flights.

He wants the Travalyst project to ‘bring more transparency around carbon emissions for individual flights’ and make holidays as eco-friendly as possible.

Some of the biggest names in the industry are thought to be backing his proposals to make travel more sustainable, including Booking.com Skyscanner, and TripAdvisor.

A spokesperson explaining why he is speaking at the event said: ‘Our ambition is to transform travel and tourism so that every holiday people take, every trip they book, will have a positive impact and better protect the destinations and communities they visit.

‘Whether it is through the activities people do, where they stay, or how they get there, we are looking for ways to make it easier for everyone to choose, and for the industry to provide more purposeful and sustainable options.’

Prince Harry has previously defended his use of private jets by saying it is necessary for his family’s security.

The trip to Edinburgh will be in addition to six other planned engagements he and Meghan have in the UK over a two-week period as they prepare to leave royal life behind.

Liverpool fans are named s.e.x.i.e.s.t in Premier league with Southampton fans leading from behind

Liverpool fans are top of the league when it comes to being the 'sexiest' supporters of all Premier League teams.

According to a survey from Free Super Tips, the Reds beat off competition for the title of best-looking fans and those who other supporters would most want to sleep with.
Liverpool fans received 26 per cent share of the vote ahead of second-placed Chelsea, who racked up 20 per cent.

Angelina Jolie and Daniel Craig both support the Reds and have presumably boosted their clubs' profile in terms of its good looking supporter base.


Manchester United fans secured 18 per cent of the vote to place third, while north Londoners Arsenal came fourth with 17 per cent.

Kano government bans street begging by Almajiris

Kano State Government has banned street begging by Almajiri children in a bid to fully consolidate the free and compulsory primary and secondary schools education policy in the state.

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje made this known during the launch of Basic Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) and the Distribution of Offer of Appointment to 7,500 volunteer teachers, held at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, on Tuesday.

Lamenting on the ugly situation of the social menace, Governor Ganduje stressed that the parents and/or guardians of the children would be taken to court for disrespecting our laws.

“This policy of free and compulsory basic and secondary education goes along with the integration of our Almajiri system into the mainstream policy implementation; which suggests that English and Arithmetic must be included in the Almajiri School’s curriculum.


“While they will continue acquiring their study of the Holy Qur’an, they would at the same time, learn English and Arithmetic, which will give them an opportunity to continue with their studies to secondary schools and beyond.

“It is not only that the beggar is caught, his parents and/or guardians. Such parents or guardians would be taken to court for disrespecting our laws,” he insisted.

Teenager who is not "smart on paper" makes £10K a week online

A teenager who failed his GCSEs is on the cusp of becoming a millionaire – making £10,000 a week by working just two hours a day.

Ashley Richards, from Tenby, Wales, is featured on BBC Wales' new documentary, Young Welsh and Pretty Minted, making £2,000 in just 30 seconds.

Armed with only his laptop and a mobile, the 19-year-old has been known to bring home £8,000 in one day by trading money on the internet to support his appetite for a £120,000 car and designer watches, Wales Online reports.

During the show, self-taught Ashley explains what he does: "I buy a currency at a lesser price and sell it at a higher price, it can all depend on various things like interest rates, bank decisions, Brexit.


"I am always looking at trends in the market. I had to teach myself how to do it online. I probably downloaded about 400 eBooks."

It all started when Ashley withdrew £450 out of his bank account on the day he found out he hadn't passed his GCSEs.

He can work from anywhere in the world, and usually starts his day with two hours of trading in the morning.

Catching up with Ashley after the show was filmed, he explained: "It's the foreign exchange – all sorts of currency.

"My friend got me into it, he was doing it and I got into it via him – I'm not at his level yet," he laughed.

"I've always been looking at what I can do later in life as a job, with minimal GCSEs."

The teen added: "I'm not very smart on paper, I'd say. Not academic.

"I had to look at stuff that wasn't really academic related. There was no other way.

"For me, I felt I either had to go via school, go to university and get a normal job like that or find my own path."

Mission Impossible 7 filming halted over coronavirus fears as Tom Cruise 'flees' in Italy

Tom Cruise 's latest Mission: Impossible movie has been halted over fears that the cast and crew could be hit with coronavirus.

Filming of the seventh movie in the action franchise has been paused in Italy, producers have said.

It was scheduled for a three-week shoot in Venice, but production has now been stopped after more than 200 people tested positive for the virus in Italy.

It is the largest number of confirmed cases of the disease outside Asia.

In a statement, Paramount Pictures said it was following the advice of the Venetian government and using an "abundance of caution" in halting production.

This Chinese man's coronavirus protection outfit is the most extreme you've ever seen

A Chinese man has dressed up as an astronaut to protect himself from the coronavirus while going out shopping.

 The man, known by his surname Li, purchased the 125 yuan full-body costume online for 'extra protection' as the deadly disease sweeps through the country. He said: 'I thought the costume was adorable and it could protect me [from the virus].

 'I am wearing a face mask underneath as well. It's double protection,' added Mr Li from Fujian Province as he spoke to video news outlet Pear.

 The Chinese resident asked his friend to film a video of him donning the inflated outfit and cruising around his complex in the city of Sanming on a scooter.


 He received mixed reactions from other residents after sharing the video online. Mr Li did not explain how much he had spent on the apparel, but a similar costume costs 125 yuan on average on Chinese e-commerce site Taobao.

25 Boko Haram commanders, chief judge killed, terrorists in disarray

No fewer than 25 high profile Boko Haram commanders have been neutralised by Nigeria’s Air Force and ground forces in the last two months of intensified offensives near Lake Chad.

Both the killings and the brutal offensives have thrown the fractured terrorists in disarray.

The dead included Muhammad Shuwa who was recently appointed by the terrorists as their chief judge.

In-fighting among the terrorists has also trimmed the leadership. For instance, Abu-Mossad Albarnawee, son of Boko Haram founder Muhammed Yusuf was initially replaced by Ba’a Idirisa. After the elimination of Idirisa on 9 February, ISWAP appointed Abba-Gana as the new factional leader for the group.

“There is an anticipation of an imminent and massive protest in the ISWAP camps as some fighters started accusing the leadership of misleading them, while on the other hand mothers of the trained child soldiers are also calling on their children to lay down their arms and surrender.”

OAU lecturer dies after giving birth to twins

A lecturer in the Department of Quantity Surveying at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, simply identified as Dr. Mrs Akintola, has passed on following complications resulting from child birth.

Late Akintola, The Punch learnt, fell ill after giving birth to a set of twins and died on Monday.

The Public Relations Officer of the university, Abiodun Olanrewaju, confirmed Akintola’s death in a telephone conversation.

He, however, did not give details of the incident.

He told The Punch, “Unfortunately, the story is true. The details are not palatable. She gave birth to a set of twins. And there were complications thereafter.

“She was treated only to give up the ghost yesterday (Monday) morning.”

Paying less than your tithe is deception to God – Adeboye

General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has said any Christian paying less than what he or she is supposed to pay as tithe is deception to God.

He said God could not be deceived.

“Paying less than your tithe is deception to God; it would have been better if you didn’t pay it at all,” he said.

The man of God added that telling “a lie to the marriage counsellor in your Church that you and your fiancee/fiance have not had any sexual relations before marriage is trying to deceive God. As an usher, changing the remittance figures is trying to deceive God.


“It is dangerous and thus, has grave consequences. Don’t do it. Is there any area where you have been trying to deceive God? Repent now.”

Adeboye, on his Instagram page said “It is impossible to deceive God because He knows all things, including the thoughts of your heart and the motives behind your actions. In Samuel 15:13-15 for example, King Saul told Samuel that he had already obeyed God’s commandments as regards the Amalekites.

“However, the latter heard the noise of animals. The King then lied that they were for sacrifice to God.
Why would anyone try to deceive God? In the first place, he should have asked himself if oxen sound differently for the Prophet to know which is from Amalek and which is not. He should have known that Samuel was acting based on divine knowledge. You can’t hide anything from God!

“Ananias and Sapphira lied to the Holy Spirit and never got a chance to repent (Acts 5:1-11). They would not have died if they had simply been honest about how much they sold the land for and how much they kept back. They were not forced to sell; they just wanted to deceive the Holy Spirit and they paid dearly for it. Do not attempt to deceive God.”

According to him, “Many years ago, when the Redeemed Christian Church of God was small, one man joined us and became very active almost immediately. In fact, we thought he was a blessing until God revealed his true identity. I was on a lengthy fast when he came to see me. There and then, God told me he was a spy, operating from the church so he would not be easily found.

“I confronted him and he tried to cover up. I told him he wouldn’t last beyond the next seven days. Within the week, God exposed him and he was picked by the then military government of Nigeria.”

Three schools close in UK over coronavirus fears

Three schools in Cheshire, United Kingdom have been closed over fears of a coronavirus outbreak.

The schools are: Cransley School, in Northwich, Brine Leas Academy, in Nantwich, and Sandbach High School, in Sandbach.

They were closed today after a number of pupils returned from trips to Italy over half-term.

Italy is now the greatest coronavirus-hit country in Europe, with over 200 infections and seven deaths.

The country has locked down 11 towns, while upcoming football matches in its Serie A and the Europa League will be played behind closed doors.

Eight year-old boy dies in well in Kano

An eight-year-old boy, Ahmed Isyaku, has died after falling into a well at Kadebawa in Garko Local Government Area of Kano State.

The spokesman of the State Fire Service, Alhaji Saidu Mohammed, made the disclosure in Kano on Tuesday. Mohammed said that the incident occurred on Monday evening when the deceased went to fetch water.

“We received a distress call from one Malam Tijjani Ayuba at about 5:05 p.m.

“On receiving the information, we quickly sent our rescue team to the scene at about 5:40 p.m.

“Ahmed was found dead and his corpse was handed over to his father, Malam Isyaku, of Kadebawa village,” he added.

World's oldest man dies aged 112 just days after claiming world record

The world's oldest man has died at the ripe old age of 112. Chitetsu Watanabe, of Joetsu City, Niigata, in Japan, had been certified as a Guinness World Record on February 12 before passing away on Sunday.

He died just 11 days before his 113th birthday at 11.10pm local time on February 23, according to reports, with Englishman Bob Weighton having now taken over his mantle of the world's oldest living man.

Mr Watanabe had succeeded German Gustav Gerneth who died on October 22, 2019, putting his long life down to laughing often and not getting angry, as well as trying his best to eat healthily.

A woman who says Mother Nature was "generous" by giving her natural 34KK b.o.o.b.s has shared some of the disturbing messages she gets from strangers online.

Despite having back pain and struggling to find clothes that fit, Anastasia Berthier loves her large chest.

She said: “I haven’t done any surgeries on my b.r.e.a.s.t. Mother Nature was pretty generous to me.

“As a teenager I used to be embarrassed of my big b.r.e.a.s.t.s. “At the age of 15 I was already a D cup. But when I grew up, I learned how to accept myself and my body and even benefit from it.


“There aren’t many women in the world who have my natural b.r.e.a.s.t size, a fit body and cute face, so why I should be not happy?

“However, it’s hard to find lingerie for my size. Some stores cater to my b.r.e.a.s.t size, which is often the biggest size they have in stock, but not for all types of lingerie.

“I have to buy clothes in really big sizes then go and customise it with a tailor to fit, because I have a small waist compared to my b.r.e.a.s.t.s.”

“I do have back pain if I stand or sit in the same position for too long, but daily activities are fine and it does not bother me at all to do sports with the right sports bra. And yes, I can sleep on my stomach.”

But her large size does attract a lot of negative attention online, and on occasion it can actually be quite scary for Anastasia, who lives in Moscow, Russia.

She has faced repeated harassment from an online stalker for years, who has also disturbed her friends, family and even photographers she’s worked with in hopes to reach out her.

And one of her followers threatened to slit his wrists open if she didn’t reply back to his messages.

Anastasia said: “One crazy guy was threatening me that he will go to the kitchen and cut his veins if I will not answer.

“And I have crazy stalker who is following me for a few years, annoying my family, friends and photographers with who I work.

“There is a lot of pretty ill people and it's can be dangerous when they obsessed with you.”

Despite that, Anastasia loves her fans and said they constantly inspire her to create new content to share to the world.

She added: “I do have a lot of admirers and I really love my fans, they are such an inspiration for me! They give me a lot of support and ideas!

“My favourite comments are from women. When a woman gives you a compliment it’s always a big pleasure, but it’s very rare. Also, I love when followers appreciate my philosophy or my life advice.”

Anastasia now works as a model, but before that was a graphic designer and content writer for online magazine. She's also a painter and would often be commissioned for her pieces.

But this didn't pay well, and she was often left with no money at all by the end of the month.

She said: "Sometimes I didn’t have enough money to survive until end of the month so I accepted dinner dates just to eat!”

Just In: Court jails Olisa Metuh 7 years over N400m fraud

The Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday sentenced former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, to seven years in prison.

He was convicted by Justice Okon Abang on all seven counts filed against him the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Metuh was jailed for money laundering and criminal diversion of funds to the tune of N400 million.

The charges were filed against Metuh and his company, Destra investment, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).


Abang, sentenced Metuh after convicting him and found him guilty of all the charges brought against him by the anti-graft agency.

Giving his judgement, Justice Abang sentenced Metuh to seven years imprisonment in respect to Counts One to Three.

On Count Four, the PDP spokesman was sentenced to five years while he got seven, three and seven years for Counts Five, Six, and Seven years respectively.

The judge held that all the sentences should run concurrently, with effect from February 25, 2020.

He also sentenced Dextra Investment to pay a fine of N25 million with respect to Counts Five and Six, while Metuh was also ordered to pay a fine of N375 million.

Justice Abang further ordered that the account of Dextra Investment should be forfeited to the Federal Government and the company be dissolved, Channels Tv reports.

Iran deputy health minister tests positive for coronavirus

Iran’s deputy health minister said he has contracted the coronavirus and placed himself in isolation, a day after appearing feverish at a press conference in which he downplayed its spread in the shrine city of Qom and said mass quarantines were unnecessary.

Iraj Harirchi posted a video on social media on Tuesday acknowledging he had caught the virus, which appears to be taking rapid hold in parts of Iran. The news has underscored widespread fears that the outbreak may have passed a tipping point, before authorities had been able to gauge its full extent.

Images of one of the country’s most senior public health officials appearing sweaty and pale and acknowledging he had contracted the disease left many Iranians deeply troubled and are likely to further paralyse a county reeling from its rapid onset. In the short video, Hirachi acknowledged that “many may get infected” echoing concerns that have taken root in the rest of the Middle East, which is home to millions of people living in densely packed refugee camps.



“I wanted to tell you that I got corona,” said Harirchi. “I had a fever yesterday. The tests came back positive last night. I isolated myself. Just a few moments ago, I was told that the final test came. I’ll start taking medicine. Generally, I feel fine. I just felt a bit tired, I had a fever, and it will drop.


“Be sure with the effort of the medical staff and ministry of health headed by the [health minister] and with your support and the state and military within the coming weeks, we’ll be victorious against this virus.

“We’ll defeat corona. Be assured. I’m saying this deep from my heart. This virus is democratic, and it doesn’t distinguish between poor and rich or statesman and an ordinary citizen.

“Many might get infected, but we have enough effective medicine, take care of yourselves. Take care of the nurses and doctors who work heroically.”
