Queen meets Anthony Joshua during Commonwealth Day service

He is used to being king of the ring, but  boxer Anthony Joshua came face-to-face with real life royalty when he met the Queen at Westminster Abbey.

The British world champion, 30, was introduced to the Queen, 90, following the Commonwealth Day Service in London  yesterday.

Standing at 6ft 6in tall, charming Joshua towered over the diminutive 5ft 4in monarch during their brief conversation.

At one point he bent down to move his head closer to the monarch's, as if to better hear what she was saying.

Joshua, dapper in a suit and tie, was also introduced to the Duchess of Sussex, 38, who looked stunning in an emerald green ensemble by Emilia Wickstead.

He also shook hands with Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his pregnant fiancee, Carrie Symonds.

Mr Cruz, Arizona Congressman Paul Gosar, Georgia Congressman Doug Collins and Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz are all self-quarantining for the recommended 14-days after they met the same infected person at CPAC, a conservative political conference, at the end of February.

Republican Representative Mark Meadows, President Donald Trump's newly appointedchief of staff, also met the person and is in self-quarantine. He is not exhibiting any symptoms and a precautionary test came back negative, a spokesman said.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle bow out at final working royals engagement (photos)

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made their last public appearance as working members of the Royal Family.

Prince Harry and Meghan joined the Queen and other senior royals at the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey on Monday afternoon.

The couple have been carrying out a series of public appearances in the UK before stepping back as working royals.

From 31 March, they will stop using their HRH titles and receiving public money.

The duke and duchess joined the Queen - who is head of the Commonwealth - the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in the central London church.

Last-minute changes meant the Cambridges and the Sussexes were led straight to their seats - rather than waiting for the Queen and taking part in the procession as they did in 2019.
