Shocking moment exhausted Dutch Health Minister COLLAPSES in Parliament due to 'fatigue from intense weeks' fighting coronavirus crisis

The Dutch health minister collapsed yesterday in parliament because of 'fatigue from intense weeks' of working against the coronavirus crisis.

Bruno Bruins, 56, fell behind the speaker's lectern while taking questions and was helped up by fellow ministers. He took a sip of water and was seen leaving the room unassisted.

'I was feeling faint from fatigue and intense weeks. I am feeling better now. I am going home now to rest this evening so I can return tomorrow to fight the corona crisis,' he said in a message on social media.


Bruins is the top government health official in the Netherlands, where the number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus rose by 346 on Wednesday to 2,051, with 58 deaths, the country's National Institute for Health (RIVM) said.

The Dutch government on Sunday ordered the closing of all schools, bars, restaurants, sex clubs and cannabis cafes in a bid to fight the spread of the new coronavirus.

Queues quickly built up at 'coffee shops' where cannabis is sold after the announcement, which follows pressure on the government to follow the lead of other European countries.

'From tomorrow, March 16 until April 6, the coming three weeks, schools and day care centres will be closed except for those children whose parents are in vital jobs,' Education Minister Arie Slob said.

Couple caught having s.e.x in a car in Milan are arrested for breaching coronavirus lockdown

A couple caught having sex in a car were arrested for breaching coronavirus quarantine rules in Italy.

The 23-year-old Egyptian man and 40-year-old Tunisian woman were caught in the act by a police officer on the outskirts of Milan.

Quite apart from decency laws, the pair chose a particularly bad time for their roadside fling, with authorities on alert for breaches of the virus lockdown.

The pair were accused of ignoring a quarantine rule which bans two people from being in the front or back of a vehicle together, according to news agency ANSA.


It is not clear whether the couple will face further action, but authorities have been keeping a wary eye on all road vehicles in order to enforce a ban on travel.

Italians are only allowed outside to buy food, give or receive medical care, or travel to work if absolutely necessary.

Despite the ample opportunities for indoor entertainment, the couple were caught in the act on a road in Mecenate near Milan which has been heavily hit by the outbreak.

Elsewhere, a family who were relaxing on a lawn were ordered to move by police in San Donato Milanese near Milan today.

The region of Lombardy which includes Milan has had the largest number of cases in Italy and hospitals in the northern province are struggling to cope.

Some Christians claim coming of coronavirus was prophesied in the Bible

The deadly march of the coronavirus has sparked panic in many countries across the world, with some believers saying it is a sign of the End Times.

Covid-19 is a pandemic that is unlike anything else seen before and has forced entire nations to go into complete lockdown in a bid to curb its deadly assault.

Already, the virus has infected more than 200,000 and killed a massive 16,610 within the four months since it first appeared in China.

The drastic measures taken by nations and the alarming death rate has led numerous Christians to question whether we are living in the End Times, and point to passages in the Bible as proof.


One of the more popular beliefs among some Christians is that the coronavirus is evidence the first Horseman of the Apocalypse has started to ride.

In the Bible, John the Apostle wrote in Revelation 6: “They (the Four Horsemen) were given authority over a quarter of the Earth, to kill with the sword, and with famine, and with death, and by means of Earth’s wild animals.”

In numerous interpretations of the Bible, the first horseman is known as Pestilence – and is associated with disease and plague.

But, the Bible is actually very specific about what will happen before the End Times are triggered, namely that the great temple in Jerusalem will be rebuilt – something that has not happened yet.

Despite this, many Christians took to social media and chat groups, believing that the coronavirus crisis is a one of the natural disasters that, according to them, signify the end of days.

One Christian said on social media: “It’s mad how two of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse can already be seen this year.

“War: America’s feud with Iran and Pestilence: Coronavirus outbreak.”

Another believer posted: “Global food shortages coming to an all-time high famine. Coronavirus – Pestilence. US- Iran air strikes and standoff – War. Kobe and also tons of other people – Death.

“We really do be living in the rapture.”

But, many other Christians and pastors are not buying into the hype of some of their fellow believers - with Bible experts claiming they have not understood the sacred text.

Jeff Kinley, who has written books on Biblical prophecy, told MSN News: “If a person were just completely ignorant about what the Bible says about the End Times, they may think this right now. This is it.”

He then pointed to Jesus’s own words in Luke 21:11, which said: “There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.”

Mr Kinley said of this passage: “I think he’s referring to a future time. I don’t think this is an actual fulfilment of that.”

Of course, scientists take a starkly different view and have pointed to the origins of the virus as coming from a Chinese wet market where live animals are slaughtered and sold on site – something that can easily cause disease spread.

And, as the virus continues to rapidly spread, scientists are racing to develop a vaccine to finally put an end to the epidemic.

Coronavirus: Lagos to shut all public and private schools

The Lagos State Government has said that it will close down all public and private schools from Monday, March 23, 2020, as part of the preventive measures against the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic,

The State announced this on its Twitter handle; @followlasg and explained that the move is necessary to prevent children and their teachers from getting more vulnerable to the pandemic.

The Tweet read; “It is important for parents to ensure that their children practise ‘social distancing’ while at home, wash their hands regularly or use hand sanitizers and observe high standards of personal hygiene. Children should be encouraged to remain at home.”


It further read; “The closure is not intended to create panic but to arrest the spread of the disease, which has become a global threat.

“The Incident Command Centre, headed by the Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who is the Incident Commander, will continue to trace all contacts of the identified cases and encourage anyone who has information about suspected cases to report to the nearest hospital or call the emergency telephone numbers 08023169485, 08033565529, 08052817243 and 08023401214,” it added.

Man arrested for digging up Kobe Bryant and Gianna's alleged grave! (disturbing photos)

On Friday a disturbed man was arrested for digging up a grave site reported to belong to Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna in Newport Beach, MTO News has learned.

Kobe Bryant tragically died last month in a helicopter accident that took the lives of his daughter Gianna, and 7 other passengers causing the entire world to mourn their shocking death.

Last week, a disturbed man did the unthinkable however- he "dug up' A gravesite that the UK’s Daily mail reported belonged to Kobe and Gianna.

The man snuck onto the private gravesite, MTO News learned, with tools and began digging. Police say that the man peeled back the grass and began digging - and he dug fairly deep into the ground.


It's not clear, however, whether the man reached any of the deceased’s coffins.

MTO obtained exclusive images showing police putting the man in handcuffs and taking photos of the crime scene.

The unidentified male had been seen wearing knee pads, and carrying equipment that he used to dig through the area where he believed Kobe and Gianna had been laid to rest.

He appeared to focus his efforts on one particular corner of the area and what appeared to be rectangular cutting marks could be seen through the grass.

Another man kills his girlfriend after she mocked him for being a flop in bed

A jealous boyfriend battered his lover, 20, to death with a brick after she mocked him for being a flop in bed, it is claimed.

The victim, named only as Kristina, died from a bleed on the brain after the savage attack in the
village of Novonikolaevka, southern Ukraine.

The 20-year-old’s body was found in a pool of her own blood near a local night club on March 10.

The club’s manager Tatiana Slobodtseva said to local media: “The body was found by children on their way to school. The whole village is shocked.”


Kristina was last seen with her 24-year-old lover Yury the evening before being discovered dead.

He was arrested after the remains of her mobile phone were found in his house, police said.

After being cornered with the evidence, Yury confessed in full to murdering Kristina, detectives said.

He allegedly told the Odesa Region Police Department: “I hit her with a brick on the head. The brick cracked in half.

“She fell onto the ground and started bleeding from her mouth. I realised she was dead and fled.”

The man explained he attacked Kristina “after she mocked him for his failure to satisfy her in bed”, investigators said.

Oleg Bekh, the head of local police, commented: “The suspect met the victim at a local night club and led her outside to have a talk.

“They started arguing and he hit her on the right part of her head causing her to fall from stairs.

“The victim died from brain haemorrhage caused by the blow.

“After realising she was dead, the man took her mobile phone and fled the scene.

“The remains of the device were found in his stove after he tried to burn it down.”

Cops say Yury tried to destroy Kristina’s phone to hide the calls he made shortly before her murder.

Police launched a criminal case for murder against the lover, who was taken into custody.

Yury worked as a handyman at local school.

16-year old boy of Nigerian descent is arrested in Britain for stabbing 21-year old to death

This is the moment an aspiring grime artist was arrested at Stanstead Airport after knifing to death the cousin of an S Club 7 member in a knife rampage outside a nightclub.

Vasilios Ofogeli, who can be named for the first time, was just 16 when he killed 21-year-old Andre Bent on August 25 during a brawl outside Gallery nightclub in Maidstone.

Mr Bent is the cousin of S Club 7's Bradley McIntosh.

Ofogeli was also found guilty this week of two counts of attempted murder, and wounding with intent.


He was remanded in custody until he is sentenced on April 24.

The court heard Mr Bent had been out celebrating a pal's birthday on the night of the attack and watched rapper Mostack perform at the club.

Violence broke out after Mostack's entourage - which included Ofogeli - left the venue's VIP lounge just before 3am.

At that point Ofogeli stabbed Mr Bent, as well as his friends Lucas Baker, Patrick Silva-Conceicao and Joshua Robinson with a large machete-style knife.

Mr Bent, from Lambeth, South London, was stabbed in the chest and collapsed unconscious from a 21cm-deep chest wound.

He bled to death about 40 minutes later.

Ofogeli, himself a budding rapper known as Scarz8th and whose sinister videos promoting drugs, gangs and violence can still be found on YouTube, then fled back to his home in North London before catching a flight later that day to Greece.

He was arrested by police on the tarmac at Stansted Airport when he returned six days later.

The weapon was found in its sheath in a back garden near his home.

Ofogeli admitted stabbing all four victims but told the jury he acted in self-defence or while defending his friends, claiming they came under attack from belts.

Tragically, Mr Bent died hours before his girlfriend Maria was due to tell him she was pregnant.

Their baby is due on April 25.

Oprah Winfrey rubbishes news of her alleged arrest

Oprah Winfrey has blasted fake claims that she has been arrested for s.e.x trafficking after a QAnon conspiracy theory went viral.

The talk show host took to social media after reports began to trend that her house in Baco Raton, Florida was being raided.

She said there had been activity at her home, but that it was part of precautions she was taking amid the coronavirus outbreak.

"Just got a phone call that my name is trending," she said.

"And being trolled for some awful FAKE thing.

"It’s NOT TRUE. Haven’t been raided, or arrested.

"Just sanitizing and self distancing with the rest of the world. Stay safe everybody."

QAnon is a far-right conspiracy theory about a supposed plot by a hidden, or "deep state", government against President Trump and his supporters.

The theory often involves smears against liberal Hollywood figures, Democratic politicians, and high-level officials, including claims that they are involved in an international sex trafficking ring.

UEFA confirm Liverpool won't be crowned champions if Premier League season is cancelled

UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin has denied claims that Liverpool will be crowned champions if the league is cancelled due to coronavirus.

Jurgen Klopp's side are just two wins away from securing their first Premier League title in 30 years.

But the outbreak of coronavirus has caused the English top-flight to be suspended until April 4 at the earliest.

It is not known whether season will be able to go ahead by then or if the games can be played at a later date in the year.


Reports had suggested the league would be gifted to Liverpool after just 29 games as they are 25 points clear at the top.

But Ceferin slammed the rumours as "fake news" as he outlined Uefa's plans to finish the season.

Speaking, he said: "I've saw and heard some again fake news that Uefa will advise leagues to finish the championships now and decide that the winners are the ones who are number one now.

"I can say that it's not true.

"Our goal is to finish the leagues and we didn't recommend anything like that to any association or league."

13-year old girl is crushed in shopping stampede as panic buyers rush to stock up on tissue paper

A youngster has been crushed after shoppers flooded into a supermarket in Australia to grab toilet roll. The 13-year-old girl had been at the Coles store in Perth to stock up on school snacks and loo roll, but was reportedly knocked over and "trampled" by desperate shoppers hoarding bog roll.

Speaking to The Western Australian, the girl's mum, Emma - who is currently wheelchair-bound following an operation - said she was disappointed with the other shoppers' actions.

She said: "[My daughter] was pushed to the ground and then stood on by adults who had no care in the world for a child on the floor.

"People were walking over her while she was crying on the ground just to get what they wanted."


The 13-year-old, named as Hayley by 7 News was taken for an X-ray after she sustained a swollen knee.

Emma continued: "Once [the manager] had been told what had happened he took myself and my children straight out the back and got ice to put on my daughter's knee."

A Coles spokesperson said: "Coles takes the wellbeing of our customers and team members seriously and we are constantly reviewing security measures to manage the unprecedented levels of demand we are seeing in our stores.

"We ask that customers to continue to show compassion towards fellow customers and team members at this challenging time."

Zlatan Ibrahimovic launches fundraisers to fight coronavirus

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has launched a fundraiser to help fight coronavirus and has called on fellow footballers to help “kick this virus away”.

The AC Milan striker plays in Italy, the country so far worst affected by the pandemic other than China.

It appears Ibrahimovic has made two 50,000 euro (£46,054) donations.

“Italy has always given me so much and, in this dramatic moment, I want to give back even more to this country that I love,” Ibrahimovic said on Instagram.

“I count on the generosity of my colleagues, of all professional athletes and of those who want to make a small or large donation according to their possibilities, to kick this virus away.

“Together we can really help hospitals and doctors and nurses who selflessly work every day to save our lives. Because today we are the ones cheering for them!

“Let’s together kick the coronavirus away and win this match!”

An hour after Ibrahimovic’s post, the fund had raised 109,652 euros (£100,999).

And with Zlatan being Zlatan, there was a classic line from the veteran striker.

Two die in Plateau well, as fire service worker is injured

Two men on Wednesday died in a well located at a compound in K-Vom community, the Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.

It was gathered that the deceased were working inside the well when they suddenly collapsed inside the pit.

It was further gathered that some community members who were alarmed by the incident immediately alerted some policemen in the area who in turn, called men of the state fire service for assistance.


However, one of the fire service workers who were drafted to the scene was critically injured in the head while trying to pull out the victims from the well.

The Plateau State Director of Fire Service, Mr Samuel Nzwak, confirmed the development.

Nzwak said, “What happened was that some policemen came to our office in Bukuru in the morning and requested our assistance to rescue two people said to be trapped inside a well in K-Vom.

“The two people working inside the well were already dead when they were pulled out from the well eventually.

“But while inside the well, a stone from nowhere fell and hit one of our service men on the head and he sustained some injuries.

“He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital and from the report I got, he is responding to treatment. It was really an unfortunate incident.”

I defiled four-year-old girl because we’re friends – Suspect

A 20-year-old man, Mr Isaac Boniface, is in police custody for allegedly defiling a four-year-old girl in the Dahwol community, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The suspect, who claimed to be working with a mattress manufacturing firm, was among the over 22 suspected criminals paraded by the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Isaac Akinmoyede, for various offences at the command’s headquarters in Jos on Wednesday.

Boniface, who confessed to defiling the victim, told punch correspondent that he committed the act because the little girl was his friend.

He said, “My name is Isaac Boniface and I live in the same compound with the girl and her mother. Anytime I was going to work or passing by, the girl would greet me and I would greet her back because we are friends.

“So, one day, I took her to a corner in the compound and had carnal knowledge of her. The mother later told me to follow her to somewhere and that was how I was arrested by the police.”

The CP, who condemned the action of the suspect, said he and the other suspects would be charged when investigations on their respective cases were concluded.

Corps member dies in Akwa Ibom while sleeping

A member of the National Youths Service Corps deployed to Akwa Ibom State, Mrs Queen Eziuche, died on Sunday morning at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Ikot Itie Udung in the Nsit Antai Local Government Area of the state.

Eziuche, who was a Batch B member with call up number: NYSC/ISU/2020/0562, reportedly died in her sleep after the normal morning exercise.

The state NYSC Coordinator, Mr Julius Amusan, who confirmed her passing while speaking with pumch correspondent on Wednesday, said she died from an ailment suspected to be a terminal disease.

Amusan said, “She did not fall sick, she had an ailment suspected to be a terminal disease which she did not disclose.

“She came with a report indicating that she was medically fit for the NYSC programme.

“There was a form she was given to fill in, whether she was suffering from any chronic disease, but it was just on Sunday morning, according to her friends, that she woke up early in the morning for her normal exercise and she came back and slept, but she died in her sleep that morning.”

Meanwhile, Governor Udom Emmanuel lamented the death of the youth corps member.

In a condolence message to the deceased’s family and the Director General of the NYSC, the governor expressed shock over the development.

 Emmanuel said, “The sudden exit of Mrs Queen Eziuche has deprived Akwa Ibom State of the contribution she would have made in expanding the layers of our common humanity and also service to her fatherland.”

EFCC arraigns ex-Bauchi accountant for alleged N258m scam

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Gombe Zonal Office, has arraigned a former Accountant General of Bauchi State, Yusuf Gokaru, before the Bauchi State High Court on an alleged N258m fraud.

Gokaru was arraigned on Wednesday before Justice A. H. Suleiman alongside one Ibrahim Lele, an official of the state Treasury Department.

The EFCC charged the defendants with 40 counts bordering on obtaining money under false pretences and also concealing property belonging to the state government.

The prosecutors said the offences were contrary to Section 7 Sub 1 (a) (ii) of the Advanced Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act 2006 and punishable under Section 7 Sub 2 of the same Act.

After the charges were read to the defendants, Justice Suleiman asked if they understood the charges and they said they did. However, they pleaded not guilty.

Counsel for the defendants, Babangida Mohammed, requested bail for the accused on health grounds.

Justice Suleiman obliged by granted the duo bail.

Lawyer for the anti-corruption body, Ahmed Muntaka, said since the defendants pleaded not guilty the case should be adjourned to enable them to bring their witnesses.

The judge then adjourned the case till April 28 for the commencement of trial.

Muntaka, who spoke with journalists shortly after the court sitting, said they filed the case on March 4.

He said, “The World Bank, as part of the assistance it offers certain states gave the Bauchi State Government a huge amount of money and out of the money, N258m, as contained in the charges, was diverted by the persons before the court in various trenches.

“They raised some mandates and kept withdrawing those mandates, and at the same time trying to remove the money from where it was lodged into a different account, thereby concealing the source of the money in order to perpetrate their own fraud.”

Coronavirus patient says it 'feels like her body is on fire'

A woman fighting coronavirus said it felt like her whole body was on fire and she ‘had swallowed glass’.

Mum-of-three Mandy Charlton, 46, was admitted to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle via ambulance on Friday evening with a temperature of more than 38 degrees celsius.

The photographer is now self-isolating at home until the end of the week and has been sleeping for 20 hours a day and taking paracetamol to recover.

Mandy, from Newcastle, said: ‘I know my temperature was once 37.9 and once over 39. I have a weird dry cough which hurts.

‘My body has felt like it has been on fire, waking up drenched, horrible. I’ve had flu before but this was something else.

‘When it came to the hospital saying I was well enough to go home and self-isolate, I asked how I would get home.

‘They said I could wait nine hours whilst they tried to get some isolation transport or I could ask a friend.

‘I had a panic attack at that point, thankful for my best friend who risked her own health to get me home.

‘I don’t for one moment blame the doctors or the nurses, I wholly place the blame on the government.’

Mandy believes she contracted the virus from one of her daughters when she came home from school with a fever last week.

She spent a night in the hospital before being discharged 12 hours later.

Mandy said fortunately her children are old enough to be able to look after themselves during her self-isolation period.

Mandy said: ‘One of the nurses said I was lucky to be admitted when I was.

‘At the moment they’re coping, but in a few weeks they won’t be. The porters weren’t even given masks.

‘I asked one of them and he said the day before they’d had to wear plastic visors but then on that day, Friday, they’d been told they would be fine without any protection.

‘The paramedics were having to borrow masks and aprons as they’d run out.’
