So the House of Representatives resumed plenary today in Abuja as the country's cases of COVID-19 surpasses 1000.
Clerk to the House, Patrick Giwa, had announced the resumption on Sunday night in a memo via Twitter.
The House had adjourned plenary on March 24, a week before the Federal Government ordered lockdown in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja as well as Lagos and Ogun States as part of measures to curb the spread of the virus.
Giwa stated that the aides of the members and other staff of the House were to work from home for the time being.
Nigerians have reacted to the climbing of the mountain by popular prophet, TB Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, to pray for the eradication of the deadly virus.
In a video shared on his official Facebook page, the prophet was seen praying alone on a mountain.

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has described the allegation by a social media personality, Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo, that its leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, is dead as the height of deceit, cocktail of madness and irresponsible social media practice.
IPOB also said that the likes of Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo are the people that are bringing bad name to Social media and should be ignored and not to be taken serious because nothing good will come from her and her outfit.
In a statement by IPOB’s Media and Publicity Emma Powerful, the pro Biafra group said it would not have ordinarily join issues with the the social media personality, because she is a roadside service provider to gullible people that wants to use the name of IPOB and its leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, to get rich and be relevant, but to tell the world for the last time that it will not respond to allegations of people like Olunloyo who think that the only way to get rich and relevant is conniving with the cabal in Aso Rock to destroy the name of leader, and wishing him death.
“We are aware that she has collected money from the Nigerian Federal Government like her likes have been doing to tarnish the image of IPOB and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and is therefore doing everything possible to justify her pay, as well as be relevant to her pay masters, the current administration she is working for in Nigeria.

Three siblings in Ebonyi State have drowned in a river at Amaeze in Ishiagu, Ivo Local Government Area of the state.
The three siblings whose names were withheld got drowned mysteriously on Saturday after they left home to the river but never returned alive.
Their bodies were found floating on the water while the circumstances surrounding their deaths remained unknown.

Aisha, wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), medical consumables and assorted food items to Kano State.
She presented the items to the state government through her Special Adviser (SA) on Administration, Hadi Uba.
The SA said the items were meant for about 500,000 households across the state to cushion the effect of the lockdown in the fight against COVID-19 spread.
Uba said 16 trailer loads of assorted food items, including rice, spaghetti, flour, cooking oil and milk would be distributed in collaboration with the state government to the needy.
He added that the PPEs included 300,000 hand gloves, 300,000 face masks as well as protective gowns.
Also included were 10 pieces of automatic dispensers, among other medical items.

…She was delivered of a baby, Consultant Gynecologist insists.
A woman, Faith Obinna, who claimed she gave birth to twins at St. Raphael Divine Mercy Hospital in Ikorodu area of Lagos State, while unconscious, has accused the hospital management of allegedly stealing one of her twins immediately after birth.
The victim, Faith Obinna who did several scans in the same hospital which revealed that she was pregnant for twins claimed she was sedated on the day she had a caesarean section and was later presented with only one of the twins.
According to Faith Obinna who called for help from well-meaning Nigerians and the government of Lagos State, “I delivered on 6th March at Saint Raphael hospital, I had caesarean section because I was pregnant for twins.
“Before the cesarean session, I had done three scans in the same hospital which confirmed I was pregnant with twins.
“On the day of the caesarean section, we were three women who delivered their babies through caesarean section.
“I was the only one they gave sleeping injection even when I told the doctor before the time not to administer it but they did so that I won’t know when they took my baby.
But when they brought the two babies out I was still partially conscious because of the injection.”
But the consultant gynecologist has however insisted that the woman only gave to a baby, and not twins.
President Muhammadu Buhari has imposed a total lockdown on Kano State, following the manner COVID-19 testing and other related issues are going on in the state.
Speaking during his nationwide broadcast on Monday night, Buhari said;
With regards to Kano, I have directed the enforcement of a total lockdown for a period of two weeks effective immediately.
The hospital shared the cheering news in a tweet on Monday afternoon, saying the mother and child are doing just fine;
