61 year-old Madonna posts crotch shot on Instagram and says she gives 'zero f**s'

Pop icon Madonna has caused a stir by posting a risque snap on Instagram.

The Queen of Pop, 61, took to social media to share a snap of her.

Madonna captioned the image: "Current Wardrobe Sitch... And for those of you who are offended in any way by this photo then I want to let you know that I have successfully graduated from the University of Zero F*^ks Given.

"Thanks for coming to my Graduation Ceremony! @stevenkleinstudio "

Naturally, Madonna's fans and celebrity pals were quick to celebrate the singer's bold post.

Photographer and filmmaker Steven Klein responded under the post, writing: "2020VISION POWERED EXPRESSIVE & DETERMINED THE ART OF NOT GIVING A F*CK... MADONNA  #MASTER -PIECE"

As a fellow pop star and friend of Madonna, Katy Perry commented: "Omg I just enrolled in that college!"

Actress Asia Argento also wrote: "Ti amo!! ❤️  #freethenipple "

Madonna has long fought on to remain highly sexual in her art despite criticism and calls from some quarters to 'grow old gracefully'.

The division was also reflected by others commenting on her post, with one writing: "Girl I love you dearly. why?? why?? think about your kids.

"too much..way too much. .u r an original dont be like everyone else please."

Another commented: "To Old to be doing this. Madonna was relevant ages ago. She needs to take a rest.

"Retire from Music with Dignity, she has been dethroned by many others already."

Meanwhile, another concluded: "Please act according to your age."

However, the biggest-selling music artist of all-time has continued to prove that she will never go quietly and give in to criticism.

French club offer Victor Osimhen private jet to fly back to Nigeria for his father's burial

The President of Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick has revealed that Victor Osimhen will arrive in the country in a matter of days for the burial of his father.

Osimhen announced the passing of his dad, through his Twitter account on Sunday, Mr. Patrick Osimhen, 80, died in Lagos on Saturday night after a brief illness according to reports.

President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick was the first to reach out to the player following the outbreak of the sad news, and he assured the former U17 World Cup winner of the empathy and support of the country’s football family at this challenging moment for the youngster and his family.

“I have spoken to Victor Osimhen and expressed the sorrow of the NFF and the entire Nigerian Football family. His club, Lille OSC of France, has given him a private aircraft to come to Nigeria to be with his family and probably for the burial rites.

We have applied for a landing permit but we are yet to get this. However, we are still on it and hopeful for the sake of the young lad.

“The loss of either parent is usually a moment of heartbreak for anyone. We condole with Victor (Osimhen) at this moment and pray that God will grant his late father eternal rest, while also granting the family the fortitude to bear the great loss.”

Osimhen is the record holder for number of goals at the FIFA U17 World Cup, after winning the top scorer at the 2015 finals in Chile with 10 goals as the Golden Eaglets cruised to a fifth title, and has scored four goals for Nigeria at senior level, including three in the Super Eagles’ 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Lesotho late last year. He was involved in all four goals against Lesotho in Maseru, scoring two and providing assists for the other two as Nigeria got a firm hold on leadership of their AFCON qualifying pool.

SGF Boss Mustapha & Chief of Staff Gambari May Clash Over Sack

The sack of the former managing director of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Mr. Usman Mohammed, appears to have pitted the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Boss Mustapha, against the Chief of Staff (COS) to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, and organised labour.

Labour has alleged that the SGF queried the sacking of Mohammed, approved by President Muhammadu Buhari through the Office of the CoS.

Gambari, in the letter titled “Re: Aligning the Transmission Company of Nigeria with the Presidential Power Initiative” addressed to the Minister of Power, said: “Further to your submission on the above subject, kindly be advised that the President has approved the immediate removal of the current managing director of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Usman Gur Mohammed, directed that Sure Abdulaziz be installed as acting managing director pending your submission of a substantive list for the board and executive management of the TCN.”

But immediately the TCN MD was sacked, the SGF released a circular on what should be the procedure for the removal of heads of public agencies in the country, in what was considered a response to the sack of the TCN boss without his consent.

Mustapha, in the circular, condemned the “arbitrary removal” of chief executive officers (CEOs) of government agencies and parastatals given the attendant impact on the stability and service delivery of the agencies.”

He stated emphatically that no minister had the power to unilaterally remove CEOs of agencies without going through the disciplinary procedure approved by the President for erring heads of agencies.

“When an act bordering on serious misconduct against a chief executive officer is reported, it shall be the duty of the supervising minister through the permanent secretary to refer the matter to the governing board for necessary action. The board shall, in line with due process, issue him/her a query requesting an explanation with respect to the specific act(s) complained about; the board shall forward its findings and recommendations to the minister for further consideration and necessary action; upon receipt of the submission from the minister, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation shall without delay cause an independent investigation and advise Mr. President on the appropriate course of action.”

But some stakeholders in the power sector alleged that the SGF’s directive was specifically targeted at the Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, wondering what interest Mustapha had in the power sector.

A competent source told Daily Sun that President Buhari had directed all correspondences to be channelled through his Chief of Staff, insisting that Mustapha’s action was a direct affront on the orders of the President.

“It is important to note that this removal of the TCN MD was a directive of the President, which was passed through the minister of power, and the minister is the person that the President sent to the power sector to go and do the necessary reforms in the sector, with a view to improving the power situation of the country.

“The SGF is asking and actually asserting that the President did not follow due process by issuing a memo and a circular to all the ministers, insisting that none of the ministers has power to remove or recommend the removal of any of the heads of parastatals under their ministries,” said the source that preferred to remain anonymous.

In the same vein, the labour movement expressed shock on the circular, saying the aim was to restore the former TCN MD to office. In a letter to President Buhari, signed by the general secretary, Umar Abubakar Dubagari, labour declared that the unions in the power sector would go on strike if the sacked MD be reinstated.

“Your Excellency is hereby notified of pending labour action by our union and Trade Union Congress (TUC) in the unlikely event that the circular restores UG Mohammed to TCN and if the wrongful termination of our president is not reversed immediately,” the letter read.

The Senior Staff Association of Electrical and Allied Companies (SSAEAC) recently protested the sacking of its president, Chris Okonkwo, a general manager and career officer by the former TCN MD. The union questioned the SGF’s circular, demanding to know why it was issued on the same date that the President approved the removal of Mohammed.

“Why did the circular seem to make the ministers helpless and dependent on SGF to act in the ministries? How could it be explained that the circular is not a reaction to and an act of insubordination to the President and his Chief of Staff?” the union queried.

Meanwhile, a coalition of 21 stakeholder-civil society groups, drawn from the National Power Sector Stakeholders’ Forum (NPSSF), also urged the President to call Mustapha to order for what it described as the usurpation of the statutory powers of cabinet ministers.

Buhari Cancels Appointments, Approvals Made By Late Abba Kyari

Is something going on that Nigerians are not aware of? There is an indication that President Muhammadu Buhari may have directed his new Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Agboola Gambari to cancel all appointments and approvals made by the late Chief of staff Abba Kyari without his permission.

Though no reason was given for the President’s alleged action, however, reports indicated that no less than 150 memos without the President’s authorization may have been uncovered.

President Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina acknowledged The Guardian’s SMS seeking clarification on the development but declined to confirm or refute the reports.

He simply said, “I’ve seen your text, I’ve seen your text,” and ended the chat when our Reporter reached him again minutes later via a phone call on Sunday.

Presidency Failing To Screen, Approve COVID19 Cure From Madagascar

Over a week after receiving the Madagascan native formulation for the treatment of COVID-19, the Presidency has yet to send the samples to the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) for testing.

A top source disclosed that the drug, which was delivered to the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), by his Guinea Bissau counterpart, Umarro Embalo, nine days ago had remained in the possession of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.

The source, who wished to remain anonymous, told The Punch that with the manner in which things “are being done, the drug would not be available for testing till June given the Islamic holiday which extends from Sunday to Tuesday.”

He said, “We were told that the drug, which was delivered in five cartons, was delivered to the SGF who was supposed to deliver the sample to the Federal Ministry of Health and then NAFDAC for testing.

“However, as of today, May 23, 2020, the sample has not been sent to NAFDAC for testing. I even doubt if the ministry has received it. And work resumes on Wednesday.”

The source lamented the slow pace of work by the Federal Government regarding its response to COVID-19.

He noted that this was the same manner in which some drugs sent to Nigeria by the West African Health Organisation were delayed by over a month due to bureaucratic processes.

He added, “In March, WAHO (West African Health Organisation) distributed 30,500 diagnostic test kits; 10,000 Personal Protective Equipment and 740,000 Chloroquine and Azithromycin tablets to be shared by all ECOWAS states, including Nigeria.

“The drugs were to be certified by NAFDAC before use. However, NAFDAC only received the drugs a month after they had arrived. These delays were caused by government bureaucracy.”

The source lamented that it might be June before the Madagascan drug could be deployed for scientific analysis, adding that herbal drugs would need a longer testing period than orthodox medicine.

He said NAFDAC would check for animal toxicity, microbial content and others in the drug which might take about 10 days.

“It could take about 10 days for NAFDAC to test and certify the drugs. So, the Madagascan medicine ought to have been sent on time in anticipation of the testing time but that has not been done,” he said.

The SGF had, at the daily COVID-19 briefing last Tuesday, said he had received the consignment and it would be sent to the ministry of health.

Mustapha had said, “As God would have it, the President of Guinea Bissau decided to visit our President last Saturday and when he was coming, he came with our consignment of five cartons and those five cartons were delivered to me yesterday in the evening, sealed, without a bottle out of it.

“I am going to engage the minister of health who has the responsibility of validation, through his institutions that are chartered by law to do that. The President was upfront with that even when he took delivery of it from the President of Guinea Bissau.

“He said it quite clearly of what we are going to do with the consignment would be guided by science, under the processes of validation. We’ll now know where to go.”

However, a top source at the ministry of health told Sunday PUNCH that the cartons were still at the SGF’s office.

The source said there seemed to be a communication gap between the minister and the SGF.

“The SGF informed the minister to pick up the drugs but it seems the minister was also expecting the SGF to send the drugs to the ministry. It was a simple communication problem,” he said.

"FG's N20k Cash Transfer, School Feeding A Fraud" - Buba Galadima

Alhaji Buba Galadima, a former ally of President Muhammadu Buhari has said the school feeding programme of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government, even when all schools are closed due to COVID-19 pandemic, as a fraud.

Speaking in a chat with Daily Independent at the weekend, Galadima, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said it is insane for the government to claim that it was embarking on feeding of school children when all schools in the country are shut.

He also added that he has not seen anyone who has received the N20,000 Conditional Cash Transfer promised to poor households across the country.

According to Galadima “The federal government is making Nigerians look like fools. How can somebody in his right senses say that they are doing school feeding when all the schools have been shut down?”

They are just making Nigerians look like fools who don’t know what they are doing. It is nothing but a fraud.

“Tell me which children in your area that they give food to or show me one person who has received the N20,000 palliative. It is so surprising that Nigerians, especially the media kept quiet in the face of all these” he said.
