Hushpuppi Contracted By Atiku & PDP For 2019 Election - Buhari's Aide

Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Media Mrs. Lauretta Onochie has again reacted to the arrest of Hushpuppi and his subsequent extradition to the United States.

According to the statement she made on her verified Twitter handle, Mrs. Onochie said,
"The Dubai Strategy. #Hushpuppi was very prominent in the strategy to change the government of the federal Republic of Nigeria through the back door. @YakubDogara @DinoMelaye, Timi Frank and so on, were there. In spite of denials, we know them. There's nothing hidden under the sun."

The Presidential Aide is of the opinion that Hushpuppi was part of the strategy of the People's Democratic Party when some of its members travel to Dubai in 2019 to strategize on how to win the 2019 Presidential election.

Former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar had traveled with some PDP members to Dubai after he won the PDP Presidential primary. Mrs. Onochie also thinks that there is something that the PDP know about Hushpuppi that they don't want to tell Nigerians.

Her statement that there is nothing hidden under the sun indicates such. Dino Melaye, Yakubu Dogara and Timi Frank whom she mentioned have all denied having any relationship with Hushpuppi apart from taking pictures with him as a then popular Nigerian in Dubai.

Also, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has warned APC to be mindful of making senseless statements.

Recall that Hushpuppi who was arrested in Dubai for internet fraud to the tune of 35 million dollars, money meant for native Americans as stimulus for coronavirus has been extradited to the United States. The FBI Special Agent who undertook the investigation has given full details of Hushpuppi's several fraud schemes.

Madagascar re-imposes lockdown amid surge in virus cases

Madagascar has placed its capital Antananarivo under a fresh lockdown following a new surge in coronavirus infections, two months after the restrictions were eased, the presidency announced Sunday.

"The Analamanga region [under which the capital is situated] is returning to full lockdown," the presidency said in a statement.

No traffic will be allowed in or out of the region starting Monday until July 20. A strict curfew will be imposed on street movement by people.



"Only one person per household is allowed to go out into the street between 6:00 am (0400 GMT) and 12:00 pm (1000 GMT)," said the statement.

The measures have been taken "because of the spread of the epidemic and the increase of COVID-19 cases," it added.

Photographer sets up blind date photoshoot and the photos show a lot of chemistry

A blind date can be nerve wracking enough, so how would you feel if every step of it was being snapped by a professional photographer?

 Keen to create a fun shoot, Indiana-based photographer Lindsey McCaffry, from McCaffry Photography LLC, put a call out for strangers who wanted to be matched together.

 She was inundated with applications and spent time going through each one to find some that might work together.

 All the applicants were told was they would have to pose with a motorcycle and get soaking wet in the creek.


Lindsey selected Karmon Waite, 32, and Daniel Allen for the shoot and told them both to meet on 26 June – which happened to be Daniel’s 27th birthday.

They were blindfolded and brought together by Lindsey and her team before being told to remove their blindfolds. Lindsey took pictures of every moment, including getting them frolicking over the motorcycle and wadding through the creek, as promised.

 Despite the pair never having met, the pictures ooze chemistry and Lindsey was inundated with comments from people wanting to know what happened next.

The couple did swap numbers and have had a few texts but the date was just over a week ago and it’s still early days. Posting the next day, Lindsey said: ‘They did NOT disappoint.

 Holy smokes, they brought the FIREEEEE!!! ‘Those of you wondering, they did exchange numbers at the end. ‘I felt like I was watching a “real life movie” with those insanely passionate kisses.

‘A huge thank you to these two for being so brave. You stepped way outside your comfort zone last night and trusted us completely.

 We can’t thank you enough!!! No matter the outcome we all had a blast and made new friends. A night we will never forget.’ One person said: ‘This is like an engagement shoot!’

Another added: ‘I showed my husband, asked him how long he thought they’d been married. He guessed 10 years. I showed him some of the kissing ones. He said ummm maybe 3 years. I said less. He kept going lower. Was surprised they weren’t together.’

17-year old girl who vanished from her grandparents' home four months ago is found safe in another state

A 17-year-old girl who vanished from her grandparents' home in Georgia in late February was found safe in another state.

The Oconee County Sheriff's Office in Georgia shared the news on its Facebook page, stating that Julia Mann has been located.

'She appears to be safe and local authorities have been notified,' the post read. 'We will not release any further at this time. Please respect her privacy and be respectful to a teenage girl and her family. Thank you for your concern and your assistance in finding Julia.'

Mann vanished between February 20 and 21 while staying at the home of her grandparents in Watkinsville.


Sheriff's investigators said at the time they believed the teen 'left alone and on her own accord.'

Sheriff Scott Berry told the Athens Banner-Herald that he got the news from Mann's father, who was contacted by an out-of-state agency. He declined to say where the teen was found.

'We’re very excited. We’ve seen a picture of her so we know it’s her,' Berry said of Mann. 'We’ve talked to her on the telephone. We know she is safe.'

The sheriff said he does not know what happened to the girl in the intervening four months.

Neither Mann's mother, Terrie Clark, nor her father, Mitch Mann, have made any public statements concerning Julia's safe return.

Several people connected to the family, including Julia's uncle, have confirmed on Facebook that she has been found.

A $20,000 reward had been offered for information leading to Mann's safe return.

Mann was last seen by her grandfather at around 10pm on February 20 before retiring to bed at her grandparents' home in the area of Rocky Branch Road in Watkinsville.

By the next morning, she was gone, along with her cellphone and laptop.

From the time of her disappearance, Mann's cellphone and social media accounts have been dormant, raising concerns for her well-being.

Her mother, Terrie Clark, described the situation as 'an absolute nightmare' in an interview with NBC's Dateline.

LASTMA official allegedly commits suicide after stabbing his lover in Lagos

An official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Emmanuel Mekuri, has allegedly committed suicide after stabbing his live-in lover, Patricia Ogunshola, during an argument at their place of residence in Araromi, Morogbo area of the state.

Punch Metro gathered that an argument on infidelity ensued between them, which degenerated into a physical combat.

Out of annoyance, Emmanuel allegedly got hold of a knife and used it to stab Patricia in her right thigh and when the attack became unbearable, she reportedly fled the house.

Thereafter, Emmanuel allegedly stabbed himself in the stomach.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, said an alarm raised by Patricia’s daughter drew neighbours’ attention to the incident and the police were contacted, adding that when policemen got to the house, Emmanuel’s remains were found and the knife used in perpetrating the crime was also recovered.

He stated that Patricia was taken to hospital for treatment, while Emmanuel’s corpse was evacuated and deposited in a mortuary for autopsy.

Elkana said, “On July 5, 2020, around 1pm, the Morogbo Police Station received a distress call from the Zoo area in Araromi that one Emmanuel Mekuri, 47, a LASTMA personnel, stabbed his lover, Patricia Ogunshola, 37, on her right thigh, with a Jack knife. An alarm was raised by the 13-year-old daughter of the woman, who she had from a previous marriage, which drew the attention of neighbours to the scene.

“In her statement, the girl stated that the deceased person, whom she referred to as her stepfather, made further attempts to stab her mother in the head but she quickly ran out of the room. She reported that he subsequently stabbed himself in the stomach, with his intestines gushing out and he died on the spot.

“On arrival at the scene, homicide detectives preserved the crime scene and rushed the injured woman to hospital for medical attention. She is currently in a stable condition. The corpse of the deceased person was evacuated to the mortuary for autopsy. A blood-stained knife was recovered from the scene.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the couple started cohabiting in February 2020, but they were not legally married.”

Elkana said the state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, had ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti, Yaba, for discreet investigation.

New mum says her boyfriend is leaving her because she stopped wearing makeup after the birth of their child

An exhausted new mum has revealed that her partner wants to end their relationship because she stopped making effort after the birth of their son.

She explained that she and her partner, who have been a couple for two and a half years, recently welcomed their first child.

But only seven weeks after their baby son was born the new mum's boyfriend told her that he wants to break-up with her for the most "shallow" reason.

He told her he doesn't love her anymore and that things have changed but then went on to point out that since their son was born she hasn't made any effort with her appearance, specifically that she doesn't wear make-up or shave anymore.


The woman admitted that although she regularly shaves her armpits, she isn't keen on shaving her bikini line just yet because her c-section scar hasn't properly healed.

She took to Netmums to ask users for reassurance, and to find out whether they thought her partner has a valid point.

She said: "The way I feel my son doesn’t sleep well as it is he’s up every 2 hours and sometimes awake from 12am till 7am and I’m the one who does every night shift, all the cleaning in the house, bottles everything so whilst my son sleeps through the day I’ve got the cleaning to do and the dog to entertain so I don’t get time to do my makeup or anything else.

"When he gets in from work he makes something to eat, sits down for ten minutes with our son then finds something else to keep him busy pops out somewhere or something.

"I just don’t have time to do makeup or shave! And if I did have time I’d choose to do something else other than that! It’s just made me feel a bit rubbish about myself.

"He says I’m not affectionate on top of all of that and says I turn my back to him at night (I have to to settle our son to sleep in his next to me crib and then I feel like it’s mean to turn away from him to turn to my partner (what if the blankets go over his head or something) I’m just a really worried first time parent and I don’t think he understands that for the first couple of months my mind and attention is going to be on OUR son.

"Surely that’s what makes me a good mum you don’t palm somebody off because of it."

But mums were disgusted with his shallow behaviour.

One said: "Good grief, what is wrong with the bloke?? He doesn’t deserve a family. I’ve had 3 kids and each one was difficult on my body. Sorry but his attitude disgusts me."

Another added: "Your partner is shocking and to be honest I'd tell him to pack his bags. I couldn't be with a man that constantly wanted to put me down, it will make your feel rubbish.. Having a baby, especially your first is hard work. Just focus on yourself and the little one."

A third also commented: "Of course you can't shave properly in your bikini area after only 7 weeks and a c-section scar it can take months to properly heal what an absolute d**k!

Whilst another said: "Omg I would get rid" adding: "What a man-child he is."

Scientists claim staring at a red light for three minutes a day could improve our eyesight

A small LED torch that emits deep red light could help improve declining eyesight, scientists have said.

A study by University College London, involving a small sample size of 24 people, has shown that staring at long wavelength light for three minutes every day can "significantly improve vision" in those aged 40 and above.

Scientists believe the discovery, published in the Journals of Gerontology, could pave the way for new eye therapies that are affordable and can be done by the patient at home.

Cells in the eye's retina begin to deteriorate at around 40 years of age.


According to the researchers, the pace of this ageing is caused partly by a decline in the cell's mitochondria, whose role is to produce energy and boost cell function.

Lead author Professor Glen Jeffery, of the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, said: "As you age, your visual system declines significantly, particularly once over 40.

"Your retinal sensitivity and your colour vision are both gradually undermined, and with an ageing population, this is an increasingly important issue.

"To try to stem or reverse this decline, we sought to reboot the retina's ageing cells with short bursts of longwave light."

The researchers recruited 24 people, aged between 28 and 72, who had no ocular disease to take part in their study.

The participants were given special LED torches to take home and were asked to gaze into its deep red 670nm light beam for three minutes a day for two weeks.

They were then retested for colour vision as well as for vision at low light levels.

The ability to detect colours improved by up to 20% in some people aged around 40 and over, the researchers said.

The ability to see in low light also improved significantly within the same age group, they added, although the improvements were not as dramatic as the gains seen in colour vision.

The effect was not seen in younger individuals who were aged below 40.

One dead, 4 others wounded as 75-year old woman crashes into emergency room of a major Atlanta hospital

One person was killed and four others were injured when an elderly woman driving an SUV crashed into the emergency room of a major Atlanta hospital.

The wreck in the ER lobby of Piedmont Hospital involved a Mercedes-Benz SUV operated by a 75-year-old woman who was arriving at the medical facility for an appointment at 7.45am local time.

Atlanta police Officer Steve Avery told reporters the driver lost control of her vehicle in the ER driveway, hit another car and veered into the hospital building.

The SUV struck two people and 'bumped several others' just inside the glass doors, Avery said at the scene.


One of the people struck by the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The injuries suffered by the four surviving victims did not appear to be life-threatening. The driver was not hurt.

Investigators do not know what caused the woman to lose control, Avery said.

'It does not appear to be a deliberate act,' the officer told reporters.

Woman goes berserk at supermarket when she was asked to wear a face mask [photos/video]

A woman shopping at a Dallas grocery store exploded in rage and proceeded to throw items from her cart while yelling expletives after being asked to wear a face mask.

The profanity-laced meltdown took place at the Fiesta supermarket on West Illinois Avenue on Saturday and was captured on video, which has since gone viral on social media.

The cell phone recording begins with the irate customer's temper tantrum already in progress.

The woman, a bespectacled blonde wearing a black top and skinny jeans, is seen hurling containers of raw chicken, pork chops, other meat products and groceries while unleashing profanities.

'I don't give a f*** about Dallas and dumba** motherf***ing rules,' the woman rants as she continues lobbing food items.

With the words, 'I don't give a f***, I got a f***ing mask,' the angry shopper storms off, waving her face covering in her hand.

'Now clean that s*** up,' she yells out as she exits the store, referring to the mess she had left on the floor.

Witness Omar Guillen told WFAA: 'I had noticed the woman during my time at the store. She was wearing her mask but by the time she was in line she had taken it off.'

A manager approached the woman and asked her to put the mask back on, citing county requirements and the supermarket chain's own rules, but she refused.

The manager warned her that she would not be served, which apparently caused her to explode in rage.

Dallas County imposed a mandate on June 21 requiring everyone to wear a face covering in public places. Businesses can be fined up to $500 for each violation of the order.

Police were called to the Fiesta supermarket on Saturday in response to the woman's outburst, but by the time officers arrived the rule breaker had left.

Many commenters labeled the Dallas woman a 'Karen,' which is a pejorative slang term for a entitled white woman perceived to be unreasonably demanding or petulant.

Supermodel Chrissy Tiegen weighed in on the video on Twitter, writing: 'I’m so tired of people, man. Why I started limiting my social media time. Went from 20 hours a day to 20 mins. All I can take.

100,000 Americans could be infected everyday if Nation doesn't make urgent behavioral changes, diseases expert Dr Fauci warns

Infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci has warned Americans to stop going to bars 'right now' to stem the rapid spread of Covid-19 across the country.

He issued a dire prediction about U.S. coronavirus infection rates last week – saying as many as 100,000 Americans could become infected each day if the nation doesn't make urgent behavioral changes.

'Congregation at a bar, inside, is bad news,' Fauci said. 'We really got to stop that right now. I think we need to emphasize the responsibility that we have both as individuals and as part of a societal effort to end the epidemic that we all have to play a part in that.'

Fauci made the bleak prediction as new coronavirus cases surged 46 per cent amid new outbreaks in the south and west.


Diagnoses almost doubled last week with 31 states reporting an uptick in cases - as Arizona became the latest hot spot to reverse its reopening by closing bars and gyms.

COVID-19 cases across the US increased by 46 percent in the week ending June 28, compared to the previous seven days, with the majority of rises in the West and South of the country.

Infections across the US have now surpassed 2.6 million and more than 127,000 Americans have died since the virus took hold in March.

'We are now having 40-plus thousand new cases a day,' Fauci told a Senate Committee during testimony. 'I would not be surprised if we go up to 100,000 a day if this does not turn around, so I am very concerned,' he said.

'We can't just focus on those areas that are having the surge. It puts the entire country at risk,' he said under questioning from Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a Massachusetts Democrat.

The vice presidential contender asked Fauci if he would provide an estimate of U.S. deaths, which he declined to do.

'I think it's important to tell you and the American public that I'm very concerned because it could get very bad,' he told her.

Fauci repeatedly pointed to a lack of sufficient social distancing in the country, urging people to avoid groups and wear masks when in a position where they might be exposed to others.

'We're going to continue to be in a lot of trouble and there's going to be a lot of hurt if that does not stop,' he said.

'It is going to be very disturbing, I can guarantee you that,' he said.

New York lawmakers vote to cut $1billion from police budget and channel the money to education and social services

New York City - which has been gripped by weeks of protests that has seen stores looted, fireworks set off, statues daubed with paint and rising crime including shootings - has voted to slash $1billion from the NYPD budget.

The cut, which comes amid a $9billion shortfall in city revenues due to coronavirus lockdown, will cancel the recruitment of 1,163 new officers, strip $484million from the overtime budget and transfer $354million to other services - including handing control of school safety officers from the NYPD to the Department of Education.

The contentious budget passed with 32 votes in favor and an unusually large 17 votes against just ahead of the midnight deadline following hours of delays - leading to criticism from all sides.


Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, a representative for parts of the Bronx and Queens, said the policing cut amounts to 'funny math' and does not go far enough in reducing the force's $6billion annual budget - which activists want to reinvest in community services instead.

But council member I. Daneek Miller, co-chairman of the Council’s Black, Latino and Asian Caucus, bitterly opposed the move, saying it makes no sense to cut funding at a time when crime is on the rise.

'Black folks want to be safe like everyone else, we just want to be respected,' he said, according to the New York Times. 'We can’t allow folks from outside our community to lecture us about Black lives and what we need in our communities.'

The budget also includes deep cuts to other services including a hiring freeze for all departments except emergency services, $1billion in 'labor savings', scrapping a scheme that reduced transport fares for the underprivileged, and scrapping a composting program.

De Blasio has warned that 22,000 city employees may lose their jobs come October, when a new class of police officers is due to start training despite Tuesday's cut, if other savings cannot be found.

Billy Porter becomes first gay man to cover Essence magazine

Pose star Billy Porter has become the first openly gay man to cover Essence.

The 50-year-old fronted the July/August issue in a plunging frock done in black, green and red, the colors of the Pan-African flag.

During his interview he said: 'Being first-generation post-civil rights and feeding directly into, as a gay man, the AIDS crisis, activism is in my DNA.'

Billy noted that 'while I don’t fancy myself an organizer, you tell me where to show up, I’m going to show up. I’m that kind of activist.'

He also urged Americans to speak openly about the country's history of oppressing black people, as well as its foundation on land conquered from Native Americans.

'We’re like a dysfunctional family who keeps secrets and doesn’t want to talk about it. They don’t want to talk about the actual thing,' said Billy.

'They want to act like the actual thing never happened, so that there’s never a healing that can take place.'

He argued : 'White people are so afraid that we want vengeance that they can’t acknowledge the truth, but we don’t want vengeance. We want our rights. We want equality. We want to be treated like human beings.'

Billy added: 'We want to know that we can walk out of our houses and not be under threat of death every single day simply because of the color of our skin.'

260,000 sign petition protesting the release of film where Paris Jackson plays a lesbian Jesus

The forthcoming indie film Habit stars Paris Jackson as Jesus, and Bella Thorne as a 'street-smart party girl with a Jesus fetish'.

And the movie is making waves before it's even released, with a Change.org petition protesting the film racking up more than 260,000 signatures.

The petition's founder, Vivian N., called Habit, 'a new blasphemous Hollywood film' and slammed it for portraying Jesus as 'a lesbian woman'.

Vivian's statement read, 'A new blasphemous Hollywood film is predicted to come out soon depicting Jesus as a lesbian woman.'


'The film “Habit” stars Paris Jackson who plays the role of “lesbian Jesus”.'

'Distributors haven’t picked it up as of yet, so let’s please spread awareness and wake people up to the Christianophobic garbage that is spread nowadays, but is somehow accepted and praised by society.'

Vivian targeted the petition toward Warner Bros. and Lionsgate.

Filming has already wrapped with the project in post-production as of April, though there are no release plans in place at this time.

The story follows a 'street-smart party girl with a Jesus fetish,' reportedly played by Thorne, who finds herself in some trouble.

After she finds herself in the midst of a violent drug deal, she finds a way out by pretending to be a nun, hence the title.

The cast also includes Bush singer Gavin Rossdale, Bria Vinaite and Josie Ho, with Janell Shirtcliff making her directorial debut, working from a script by Suki Kaiser (Van Helsing).

Sia becomes a grandmother after one of the teenage boys she adopted welcomes two babies

Sia has become a grandmother at the age of 44 - just weeks after announcing she adopted two sons last year.

The Australian singer revealed this week that the youngest of the two boys she took on has welcomed 'two babies' of his own, meaning she has become a mother and a grandmother in the space of just one year. 

The Chandelier hitmaker told DJ Zane Lowe on his Apple Music podcast: 'My youngest son just had two babies. I'm a f**king grandma! I'm just immediately horrified. No, I'm cool.'

Sia announced she had adopted two sons in May because they were 'ageing out of the foster care system' and had lived 'extremely traumatic lives'; the boys were 18 at the time and are now both 19.


The musician, whose real name is Sia Kate Isobelle Furler, said that her adopted children now call her 'Nana'.

The Grammy-nominated artist joked that she was trying to get them to call her 'Lovey' instead, which is the nickname given to Kardashian 'momager' Kris Jenner by her grandchildren.

Missing Girl Found Buried In Standing Position Inside Shallow Grave In Delta

A seven year old girl, Ebrovwiyor Lina, earlier reported missing in Isiokolo, Ethiope East area of Delta state, has been found dead.

Recall that men of the Delta State Police Command had arrested two suspects over the sudden disappearance of a seven year old girl in the area.



The two suspects were identified as Ogaga Better and Ufine Iboyi, according to Hafiz Inuwa.

Inuwa said the suspects were arrested by Isiokolo Vigilance group, who handed them over to the police following an alarm after the seven year old suddenly disappeared, after one of the suspects visited the victim’s compound on June, 22.

The Nation gathered that the victim was found buried in a shallow grave in a standing position with her intestines and private part cut off.

DSP Onome Onowakpoyeya confirmed the incident but said she was yet to get details from the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the area.
