An airport official claims he lost his job after collecting hundred dollar tip from Davido. 

A video of Davido giving money to an airport staff surfaced on the internet few months ago, the man has come out to cry for help, following the punishment he faced for collecting the gift.

According to the man, receiving money from passengers at the airport is unethical, as airport authorities have allegedly fired the staff for “begging a passenger for money” which is strictly forbidden.

He has however cried to Davido to help him clear his name by testifying that he did not beg him for the money, instead, Davido gave him willingly after he hailed him.

Ondo poll: INEC opens special registration link for NYSC members

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), said it had opened a special link for the registration of additional National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), members as ad hoc staff for the Ondo State governorship election.

The commission made this known in a statement issued after its meeting by Mr. Festus Okoye, National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, in Abuja.

Okoye said that as a result of the disruption of normal processes in the electoral process occasioned by the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, INEC could not get the full complement of the NYSC members required as ad hoc staff for the election.

“Consequently, the Commission had to broaden its net to recruit the required ad hoc staff from tertiary institutions.

“However, the NYSC authorities recently informed the Commission that they were now in a position to mobilize more corps members for the Ondo State governorship election.

“ Meanwhile, the portal for the recruitment of ad hoc staff for the said election had closed since Aug. 21.

“After due consideration and to restore the corps members to their role in the electoral process, the Commission has decided to allow the recruitment of these additional NYSC members only.

“A special link to the registration form has, therefore, been provided to NYSC authorities to be used for this purpose.

“The Commission notes with appreciation the commitment of the NYSC leadership in sustaining the patriotic and crucial roles being played by corps members in the conduct of elections,’’ Okoye said.

On the Edo State governorship election, Okoye said that all sensitive materials for the election had left the custody of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), in Benin for the various Local Government Areas in the State.

“Agents of the political parties involved in the election as well as those of the accredited Observer Groups observed the distribution of the sensitive materials.

“The Commission implores all the relevant stakeholders to continue to observe the distribution of the sensitive materials as they are moved further down the chain to the Registration Area Centres (RACs),’’ Okoye said.

Dorathy’s team on Monday put up Laycon and Trikytee for eviction this week.

South African woman single-handedly builds her own home

A South-African woman has become a social media sensation after photos of her constructing an extension to her house went viral.

The 26-year-old female engineer became the poster girl for last month’s celebration of Women’s Month in South Africa for her success in a field that is dominated by men.

In the photos that went viral on social networks, she can be seen single-handledly working on an extension to her house.

She is seen preparing the cement, making measurements, and stacking the building blocks all by herself.

Many have praised her for her actions with many saying it serves as empowerment to other women that they can pursue

South African website Briefly managed to track down the protagonist of the viral photos, who turned out to be a trained civil engineer named Zama Philisiwe Zungu.

It is gathered that she got her passion for construction from her father who is also a builder.

She enrolled at the Umgungundlovu TVET College in her home city after she made the decision to become an engineer in 2014.

Speaking about her flair for construction, Zama revealed that she has never worked in construction before but the practical exams she had passed during college gave her the confidence that she could build the extension to her house by herself.

She said:

“This is what I am good at. Renovating my home is very fun and exciting at the same time, practicals are more fun than theory.”

Zama dreams of running her own construction company and plans to empower more women in the engineering industry.

“Always put your best in everything that you do, never underestimate the power of pouring your heart in what you do. Always seek to improve and empower yourself,” Zungu advised other women.

Kanye West's Twitter account temporarily suspended

On Wednesday, Kanye, 43, took to Twitter and uploaded a tweet which included the phone number of a Forbes journalist.

The social media platform deems the sharing of people’s personal details as a breach of the site’s rules, it is seen as a violation of a person’s privacy.

It is also reported by NBC that Kanye called urged his fans to call the reporter alongside the screenshot of his phone number.

According to the Mirror, a Twitter spokesperson confirmed that the tweet was in violation of the rule but did not elaborate.

Kanye’s friend former NBA player Rick Fox revealed that the Stronger hitmaker was banned from posting on the site on his own Twitter feed.

Rick wrote:

My friend @kanyewest wants you all to know that he was kicked off of @Twitter for 12 hours.

Kanye’s exposing message has since been removed from Twitter and came alongside a number of posts by Kanye amid his battle with music label Sony and Universal.

This week the singer dubbed himself the “new Moses” and likened the music industry to “modern-day slavery.”

He also uploaded a clip of himself urinating on a Grammy Award.

Kanye’s suspension from the site, comes as his wife Kim Kardashian, 39, announced she was freezing her Instagram and Facebook on Tuesday, an act to stop “the spreading of hate, propaganda, and misinformation”.

New s.e.x assault allegation made against Trump

A former model has accused US President Donald Trump of groping and forcibly kissing her in 1997 the latest allegation made against the Republican incumbent just weeks before he seeks reelection.

Amy Dorris told Britain’s The Guardian that Trump s.e.x.u.ally assaulted her in his VIP suite at the US Open tennis tournament in New York claims he denied via his lawyers.

“He just shoved his tongue down my throat and I was pushing him off. And then that’s when his grip became tighter and his hands were very gropey and all over my butt, my b.r.e.a.st.s, my back, everything,” Dorris said in an interview.

“I was in his grip, and I couldn’t get out of it,” she added.

Trump has faced more than a dozen allegations of sexual misconduct, including a claim by prominent American columnist E. Jean Carroll that he raped her in a department store changing room in the mid-1990s.

But he brushed them aside in his run for the White House.

Shortly before the 2016 election, a tape recording emerged from 2005 in which he was heard boasting about how his fame allowed him to “grab” women by the genitals when he wanted.

Trump dismissed this as “locker room banter” but subsequently apologized.

Dorris was 24 at the time of the alleged incidents. Trump was 51 and married at the time to his second wife, Marla Maples.

The accuser provided The Guardian with several photos showing her in Trump’s company, and multiple people corroborated her account, saying she told them at the time.

She says she told Trump to stop but “he didn’t care.” She added: “I felt violated, obviously.”

Asked why she continued to be around Trump in subsequent days, Dorris responded: “That’s what happens when something traumatic happens — you freeze.”

But Trump’s attorneys told the newspaper that her version of events was unreliable and there would be other witnesses if she had been assaulted.

They suggested in comments to The Guardian that the allegation could be politically motivated, coming weeks before Trump faces Joe Biden in the November 3 election.

Dorris, now 48, said she decided to come forward to be a role model for her teenage twin daughters.

She first told The Guardian her story more than a year ago, but asked the newspaper not to publish it.

“I’m sick of him getting away with this,” Dorris said.

Man marries own mother-in-law after divorcing his wife of eight years

Clive Bunden and his wife Brenda, from Warrington, Cheshire, have now been together for more than three decades, despite the fact that he was married to her daughter Irene in 1977

The Mirror UK reports that they have been together for more than three decades, married 13 years and are still blissfully happy, despite the unconventional start to their relationship.

For Clive Blunden’s wife Brenda used to be his mother-in-law.

He was even arrested after he asked her to marry him but, undeterred, they made history when the law was changed in 2007 and they tied the knot.

It is fair to say their unusual coupling raised a few eyebrows. But 10 years on, they have no regrets.

“People thought we wouldn’t last but we are stronger than ever,” said Clive, 65.

“We’re together 24/7 and there’s a magic to it.” 

Brenda, 77, added: “Clive is a gentleman and he looks after me. I can get a bit argumentative but he quietens me down.”

Brenda wasn’t such a fan of Clive when he got together with her daughter Irene.

In fact, she disliked him the moment she saw him.

Clive and Irene married in 1977 and had daughters Sarah and Tanya before divorcing in 1985.

Four years later, Clive and Brenda began dating in secret.

“We fell in love,” said Brenda. “One night, he took me for a drink and we ended up kissing.”

In 1997, they decided to marry. But a few days after they put their banns up at the register office in their hometown of Warrington, Cheshire, Clive was arrested.

He was told there was a “lawful impediment” to marrying his mother-in-law and warned he could be jailed for up to seven years if they went ahead with it.

Because Brenda’s first husband, Richard, had passed away and Irene remarried, they wrongly assumed they would be free to wed.

Instead, they had to settle for Brenda changing her surname to Clive’s by deed poll.

But this wasn’t good enough for the smitten groom-to-be, who began campaigning for the 500-year-old law to be altered.

“I thought we should be married because we had been through everything together,” he explained.

“We were being stopped unfairly. I didn’t think it was right, so I wanted to change it.”

It was 10 years before a European court ruled a ban on in-laws marrying was a violation of human rights.

“I remember when we heard the news on the TV, in September 2005,” said Clive.

“I went down on one knee straight away and proposed to Brenda. I had tears in my eyes.”

On March 17, 2007, they finally became husband and wife at Warrington register office – the same place where Clive had married Irene 30 years earlier.

The majority of their families, including Irene, did not wish to attend. Only one distant relative sent them a congratulations card.

Clive, who serenaded Brenda with a rendition of Westlife’s You Raise Me Up, said: “It was a very emotional day.

“It had been a struggle to get to that point but it was a wonderful day and we will always remember it.”

Brenda said: “Our families didn’t come because they didn’t agree with it. But all we cared about was being with each other.”

The newlyweds headed off for a month-long honeymoon in Spain – but after hitting headlines, they were instantly recognised.

Brenda said: “We went to Benidorm thinking we’d get away from it all.

“We got to the apartments and, God help me, they all knew who we were.

“The barman said, ‘Oooh, we’ve got celebs’. But everyone was really nice about it, we had a fantastic honeymoon.”

And thankfully, married life was everything they had hoped for.

Clive said: “Marriage to Brenda has definitely changed me. I felt different straight away.

“I was more relaxed. Until we got married I felt something was missing.

“We’ve been through a lot so to come out of it the other end is an achievement.

“What made it perfect for me is we can be on our own all day and still get along. We would do it all again.”

Brenda said: “Clive is caring and lovable and he looks after me very well.

“We do argue and I think I have always been a challenge to Clive. But it is about give and take and trust.

“He does have some bad habits. His nail-biting drives me mad. I still joke about how much I disliked him when he was going out with my daughter and became my son-in-law.

“We don’t go out of our way to tell strangers how we met and when we do they don’t believe us.

“A lot of people thought it wouldn’t last but we can’t live without each other.”

On holiday to Benidorm earlier this year, Brenda had a health scare.

“Oxygen wasn’t getting to my heart and they had to put a pacemaker in,” she said.

“Thankfully, I’m doing smashing now. Clive’s my carer – he does everything for me. We’re still so happy.”

Husband 'killed father-of-three and hid body' after 'discovering affair with wife'

A husband allegedly killed a father-of-three and secretly hid his body after discovering the man was having an affair with his wife, a court heard.

Andrew Jones, 52, is accused of killing Michael O'Leary, 57, - and his body has not been found since he was reported missing eight months ago.

Jones allegedly murdered Mr O'Leary after discovering messages to his wife Rhiannon, 51, on her iPad, Swansea Crown Court heard.

Jones - boss of successful family building firm AJ Builders - was arrested days after Mr O'Leary failed to return home from work.

Prosecutor William Hughes, QC, said: “The murder was carefully planned and undertaken by Andrew Jones as were steps he subsequently took to cover up or destroy evidence of his crimes and in particular the destruction of Michael O’Leary’s body.

“There was an affair between Michael O’Leary and Rhianon Jones. They attended the same gym and at some stage during 2019 they began an extra marital relationship.”

But Jones became aware of the affair in September 2019 when he discovered messages on her iPad.

Mr Hughes said the messages between Mr O’Leary and Mrs Jones were “intimate and graphic in content”.

Mr Hughes told the jury: “This is a court of law - not a court of morals”.

“Andrew Jones became aware of the affair in 2019 having read some messages on his wife’s iPad.

“He confronted his wife and was told Michael O’Leary did not want to leave his own wife. His wife told him she did not love him anymore.

“But despite the affair becoming known it continued.“

The court heard Jones - along with his daughter Carrie - began to monitor Rhiannon Jones’ phone and movements.

Later Rhiannon Jones got a “secret” phone to continue to contact Michael O’Leary but her husband allegedly found it and used it to “lure” his alleged victim to his death.

Mr Hughes said: “He sent messages from her phone which led to his death.

“Andrew Jones lured Michael O’Leary to His death at Cyncoed Farm.”

Swansea Crown Court heard Mr O’Leary was reported missing after his wife and three sons received text messages from his phone saying: “I’m so sorry x”.

The court heard Mr O’Leary’s car was found close to a river but despite a police search there was no sign of his body.

Mr Hughes said Jones “lured” Mr O’Leary to a farm he owned and killed him.

But traces of Mr O’Leary were undiscovered until a break through in the investigation on March 14.

Mr Hughes said: “Human tissue from a small intestines was found at the home of Andrew Jones.

“As part of the extensive search a rusty oil barrel was decanted at the bottom of that batter there remained what was thought to be human tissue.”

Mr Hughes said forensic analysis found it belonged to Michael O’Leary and it “gave the appearance of having been burned”.

Mr Hughes said that although Mr O’Leary’s body has never been found “human tissue” was later found in an oil barrel at Jones’ home.

The court heard the trace of tissue was part of a small intestine and forensic scientists believed it had been burned.

A huge search was launched after the disappearance on January 27 with cops combing woods, rivers and fields near his home in Nantgaredig, near Carmarthen.

Police later scoured a landfill site 30 miles away but Mr O'Leary's body has never been found.

Mr O’Leary, was married to wife Sian, 51, and leaves behind three sons, Wayne, 31, and twins Phillip and Simon, 27.

Jones, of Bronwydd, Carmarthen, denies murder saying Mr O’Leary died in an accident. The trial at Swansea Crown Court continues.

Four die as bus collides with truck in Oke Ogun

No fewer than four people have been confirmed to have lost their lives when a commercial bus collided with a truck along the Iseyin-Saki road in Ogun State.

The incident occurred Tuesday evening around 9pm.

It was gathered that the Saki-bond commercial bus collided with the truck at Agunrege town, along Iseyin-Saki road in the Oke Ogun area of Oyo state.

It was gathered that four out of the thirteen passengers in the ill-fated bus reportedly died immediately after the accident.

Other occupants of the bus who were injured have been taken to hospital for medical attention.

Oyo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Mrs Uche Chukwurah, when contacted, noted that the incident has not been reported to the agency.

Chukwurah, who spoke in a telephone conversation with Dailypost on Wednesday, said that nobody reported the incident to her.

She said, “I am not in the picture sir.

“I did not get any report on that.”

But, Public Relations Officer of the state Police Command, Mr. Olugbenga Fadeyi when contacted, confirmed the incident.

Fadeyi told Dailypost that four people lost their lives in the incident.

Fadeyi in a reply to an SMS enquiry said, “Only four lives were lost please.”

Barbados to remove Queen as head of state in 2021

Barbados will remove the Queen as its head of state and become a republic next year, it has announced, as its governor-general says: “The time has come to fully leave our colonial past behind.”

The country, one of 16 remaining realms which has the Queen as its head, will seek a new head of state by November 2021, in a move which could see other Caribbean countries follow suit.

Buckingham Palace said the decision was a “matter for the government and people of Barbados”.

The decision to remove the Queen as head of state has been “mooted for quite some time”, a source said, and did not come as a surprise to Her Majesty or the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

The country intends to remain part of the Commonwealth, which has the Queen as its head, but will replace her portrait on the Barbadian dollar bill.

Experts said it was likely that other Caribbean nations would follow suit to become republics in due course, with Jamaica expected to declare itself next.

Delivering the “Throne Speech”, which marks the state opening of the Barbados parliament and was written by the Prime Minister Mia Mottley, Governor-General Dame Sandra Mason said: "Barbados's first Prime Minister, The Rt Excellent Errol Walton Barrow, cautioned against loitering on colonial premises. That warning is as relevant today as it was in 1966.

"Having attained independence over half a century ago, our country can be in no doubt about its capacity for self-governance. 

"The time has come to fully leave our colonial past behind. Barbadians want a Barbadian head of state.

$6 plastic crown worn by Notorious B.I.G in his last photoshoot sells for $594,750 at auction

The plastic crown worn by Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace in his last photo shoot sold for $594,750 (including Sotheby’s “buyer’s premium” fees and taxes) during an auction Tuesday night --despite its original $6 price tag.

At the auction house’s first hip-hop memorabilia auction, the crown’s original purchaser said he didn’t buy the it for its gold content and embedded jewels.

“This crown is a novelty item; I bought it at a place on Broadway called Gordon’s,” said Barron Claiborne, a 57-year-old photographer who lives in Brooklyn. Claiborne owned the crown and used it in the stunning Rap Pages magazine cover-photo he took of Biggie in 1997. “Without Biggie, the crown would not be worth it. I only paid six bucks for it.”

Speaking about the sale price, Claiborne said:“Some people have told me that it’s too low. That shows you how strong the symbol really is. I always thought Biggie was a king.”

In fact, he admitted the payday is a step up from what he earned for photographing the rapper.

“I’m not sure that I even got paid for it,” he said. “I was mostly shooting celebrities and reportage. I did this because I liked taking pictures of Biggie. The time before, I photographed him in a white suit — instead of the tracksuit that most rappers were wearing back in 1997.”

Amazingly, the royally inspired shot of Biggie Smalls — designed to illustrate yet another one of his nicknames: King of New York — almost didn’t happen. Sean 'Puffy' Combs, the owner of Bad Boy Records, the label for which Biggie recorded, was at the shoot and scoffed at Claiborne’s concept.

“He said it would make Biggie look like Burger King,” recalled Claiborne. “But Biggie didn’t listen. He wore it anyway. And nobody’s ever told me that they look at the photo and think the crown is plastic.”

That’s a testament to “the charisma of Biggie Smalls,” he said. “His power cancels out the fact that it is a novelty crown.”

At the time of the photo session, Biggie was in the middle of an East Coast-West Coast beef. Considering that none of the parties involved were, at the time, the types to settle differences in their lawyers’ conference rooms, things were life-or-death fraught. Inside Claiborne’s Grand Street studio, there were whispered concerns about an upcoming trip to Los Angeles.

“People were saying he shouldn’t go to California because of all the tension,” said the photographer, adding that Biggie died from gunshot wounds in LA on March 9, 1997 — three days after the session. “He had to be somewhat worried.”

The murder remains an open case.

However, fans did not support TBoss advice and as they shut it down and blasted her for such utterance.

Kanye West AGAIN!!! Rapper urinates on Grammy Award as he shares video on twitter

Kanye West has shared a video of himself urinating on a Grammy award as he takes on record labels in the ‘battle’ for musicians to own the masters of their catalogues.

West, 43, on Wednesday, tweeted an 8 seconds video of himself peeing on one of his 21 Grammy awards placed inside of a toilet bowl. “Trust me … I WONT STOP,” he captioned the video, a reference to his bid to retrieve the copyright to his original songs otherwise called masters.

On Tuesday, the billionaire rapper began his ‘attack’ on the music industry which he compared to a modern-day slave ship based on the fact that many artists are being exploited and “enslaved” by the record labels they signed contracts with.

West vowed not to release new music until he is free from his contract with Sony and Universal. “I’m not putting no more music out till I’m done with my contract with Sony and Universal. On God … in Jesus’ name … come and get me,” he tweeted.

In a reference to Moses, the biblical prophet and leader who led the Israelites out of Egypt, West promised to fight for all musicians to get ownership of their masters.

“I need to see everybody’s contracts at Universal and Sony. I’m not gonna watch my people be enslaved. I’m putting my life on the line for my people. The music industry and the NBA are modern-day slave ships I’m the new Moses.”

On Wednesday, he added: “The artist deserve to own our masters … artist are starving without tours … Ima go get our masters … for all artist … pray for me”

“In the streaming world master ownership is everything… that is the bulk of the income … in COVID artist need our masters … it’s more important than ever before.”

Touching! 75-year old who just lost his wife puts up sign saying he urgently needs a friend

75-year-old Tony Williams from Britain is tugging at the heartstrings of social media following his simple request: a friend.

Williams is still grieving the loss of his wife, Jo, who died in May. Since then, the retired physicist, who has neither children nor other family to visit, says he’s gone days without speaking to anyone.

“Jo was my best friend, and we had a lovely life. But now I’m all by myself. My wonderful wife has just died, and I have nobody,” he said. 

In his desperation, Williams recently took out two ad blocks in his community newspaper — to no avail because he didn’t receive a single response.

“I spend most days just sitting in the house in silence, just waiting for the phone to ring … but it never does,” he said.

Now, he’s reaching out in an even bolder way.

“I have lost Jo. My lovely wife and social mate. I have no friends or family. No one to talk to. I find the unremitting silence 24 hours a day unbearable torture. Can no one help me?” reads a poster at Williams’ home, which hangs in a window for passersby to see.

“Our relationship was always so natural. We had no secrets, and we could be totally open with each other,” said Williams of his marriage, which ended when his wife, also 75, died suddenly after a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

He calls Jo, whom he met nearly 35 years ago in a bar, his “soul mate.”

“Now I’m here, completely alone, in the house where my lovely wife spent her dying days. Every time I walk in the room, the first thing I do is look at her photograph.”

Williams called it his “last resort.”

“I’ve tried everything to make friends, but it feels like nobody wants to talk to me,” said the widower, whose neighbors have reportedly reached out to the man.

However, the retiree hopes to find a companion closer to his age.

“Not very many people pass my house, but I was hoping it would spread around the community, and someone might reach out,” he said.

Williams also had business cards made with his contact information and the same message, which he’s taken to handing out at the supermarket.

“I’m not looking for someone to listen to me cry,” he said. “I just want a normal person who I can chat to! I can talk to anybody about anything.”

Said Williams, “I just want a friend, and I hope my sign will find someone for me.”
