The Federal Government has denied generating a ‘no-fly’ list containing names of youths and persons who participated in the recent #EndSARS protests.
The Federal Ministry of Interior disclosed this in a tweet on Tuesday.
Reacting to an online publication that claimed that the Federal Government has begun the compilation of such a list, the Ministry of Interior said, “The Ministry of Interior did not, has not and will not generate any no-fly list. Ignore fake news, please!”
The Ministry also shared a short notice on its official handle stating that “No-fly list generation is not the responsibility of the Ministry or its associated agency.”
The reaction comes after one of the major promoters of the #EndSARS movement, Modupe Odele @Mochievous was stopped at the airport on Sunday while traveling to the Maldives for vacation.
Although the Nigeria Immigration Service is yet to explain the reason why Odele was stopped at the airport, some social media influencers have condemned the action and called for her release using the hashtag #FreeMoe.
Pastor Tunde Bakare, founder, The Citadel Global Community Church, on Monday said there is no going back on his plan to vie for the 2023 presidency.
Bakare had said in September 2019 that he would be crowned the next president of Nigeria after President Muhammadu Buhari.
“Take it to the mountain top if you have never heard it before. I am saying it to you this morning, in the scheme of things, as far as politics of Nigeria is concerned, President Buhari is number 15 and yours sincerely is number 16. I never said that to you before, I want to let you know it this morning; nothing can change it, in the name of Jesus. He (Buhari) is number 15; I am number 16,” Pastor Bakare said while placing his right hand on his chest.
“To this end was I born and for this purpose came I into the world. I have prepared for this for 30 years. When he (Buhari) chose to run in 2019, he is still number 15, when he steps out, I step in,” he had said last year.
However, in an interview on Arise TV on Monday, Bakare was asked by one of the hosts, Dr. Reuben Abati whether he still stand by what he said last year.
He said he would offer himself for service and that the choice is left for Nigerians to accept him or not.
Bakare did not sound so confident like he did last year when he said he would be the 16 president of Nigeria.
“Every Nigerian citizen who has aspiration to add value to this country is at liberty so to do. It is my fundamental right to run if I choose to and it is my mental right to desist from running, but let me tell you this, I mean every word that I spoke, I cannot just fold my hand and say let it continue.
“I am a citizen of his county and I intend to contribute my quota, but let me say this to you, it is not a matter of life and death. If we have right people in power, I will support them and if I offer myself and people support me, so be it,” he said.
According to Bakare, “I am not taking that word back, I have something to offer my country, but it is all left for my country to say we want you; I cannot impose myself on them.
“And I challenge every right thinking patriot to rise up and let us join hands to fix our nation and if God so designed it that I be the 16th president, well Reuben Abati, I will consult you also as one who has something to offer in terms of media and in terms of spokemanship that you have done before so that we can have accurate speech for accurate moment.”

Toke Makinwa is 36 today. And the media personality shared the many struggles she has had to face this year and the many expectations she had before her 36th birthday that never became reality.
She wrote;
''The month of October was not the best I’ve felt, I don’t just want to post glam pictures cos I do love the glam life but that’s not all there is to me. I have been given this platform to share, to rise, to fall, to bare it all so you all know that there’s nothing like picture perfect, we are all just trying to figure life out.
I was stressed emotionally, exhausted spiritually, working round the clock feeling empty cos I had so many expectations and it seemed like the devil heard be brag so loud about how good God has been to me, he decided to test my mind.
Falling sick after God told me the plague in the land will not visit my family, oh I had expectations that this time November 2020 I will be posting baby on the way pictures but my belly is still flat, and my waist is still disappearing. The only thing I had going for me was work. Losing friends to betrayal and my anxiety on a all time high, I couldn’t travel cos my work load kept piling and I just wasn’t feeling great. I stopped praying cos I was tired of the same prayer points and as my birthday drew closer I felt even more anxious.
Yesterday I watched a sermon by @sarahjakesroberts titled “Girl get up” and I broke down really bad, I was carrying it all in, smiling for the world but the weight of all my emotions was on override and I let it all out. I felt God, I felt new and I felt peace. I started to remind myself of that little girl with dreams, the little girl that wanted to live the life that I live now and though all isn’t perfect, I am turning 36 whole. I know only God could have brought me this far and the view from the 36th floor will be even more amazing. I know this was meant to be a hot picture but I decided to share this to let someone out there know that we are all in this thing called life together. All of it, the happy and sad, the joy and aches, the wins and loss, the view will only get better, I promise you.
Sorry for the long caption, if it’s not for you, scroll and pass but if it is, read it knowing God knows your name and he makes no mistakes. He is never late and your miracle is taking longer cos it will be a sign to the whole world that he did it. Hang in there''

Johnson was said to have sneaked out of the hotel in Ibafo, Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of the state, after he allegedly killed his girlfriend.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.
Oyeyemi said the incident occurred last week Friday.
He said the arrest of the suspect followed a report by the manager of the hotel, one Adebayo Aladesuyi.
The PPRO said the manager told the police that the body of an occupant of one of the rooms was discovered while the workers were carrying out routine checks of the hotel rooms.
Oyeyemi stated, “The victim had bruises on her neck, suggesting that the deceased might have been strangled.
“On the strength of the report, the DPO, Ibafo Division CSP Jide Joshua, led his detectives to the scene and recovered the corpse to the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital in Sagamu for post-mortem examination.
“Preliminary investigation later revealed that the deceased checked into the hotel with a man, who sneaked out of the hotel after killing the woman.
“Consequently, the DPO and his men commenced technical and intelligence-based investigation which led to the unravelling of the identity of the suspect.”
The PPRO added that the suspect was subsequently traced and apprehended by detectives.
Oyeyemi said, “On interrogation, he confessed to checking into the hotel with the deceased and that they had a misunderstanding, which led to physical assault between them.
“In the process, he said the woman collapsed and gave up the ghost. He subsequently left the corpse in the room and sneaked out of the hotel.”
The PPRO added that the Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, had ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to the homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and diligent prosecution.
“He (Ajogun) also appealed to hoteliers in the state to always have proper documentation of their customers in order to assist the police in a situation like this,” Oyeyemi stated.

Dressed to kill, this is Nice knifeman Brahim Aouissaoui just hours before he launched his vicious attack on worshippers at the Notre Dame Cathedral, beheading one of his victims.
The 21-year-old migrant sent this selfie picture to friends back in Tunisia to show off his new clothes, bought with money working illegally in Europe.
The image was taken at a shop in France the day before he walked into the church in the centre of Nice armed with two knives and intent on murder.
And he was wearing the same clothes – a red puffa jacket, white t-shirt, distressed blue jeans and trainers – when he was shot by armed police who brought his murderous attack to an end.
The photos is one of a series of pictures that Aouissaoui sent to friends and relatives in Tunisia chronicling his journey across the Mediterranean Sea, through Italy and to France.
The killer is pictured wearing a white t-shirt claiming to 'love life' outside his family's humble home near Sfax and in a cabin of the Italian quarantine ship where he spent 14 days after arriving in Europe on a migrant ship.
However the Islamist extremist gave no hint that he planned to carry out his deadly assault on innocent Christian worshippers, his family and friends said.
His older brother Yassin, 38, said: 'He bought new clothes and a mobile phone in France with the money he had earned working harvesting olives in Italy.
'He was very proud of his new clothes and wanted to show us he was doing well.
'Brahim said he wanted to go to Europe to earn money to buy a car.'
He added: 'He made a lot of phone calls the night before the attack. He called us, the family and his friends. He spent hours on the phone reassuring us that everything was fine. He said he had met an Arab man who was helping him to get on his feet in France.'
Struggling to make ends meet, Brahim Aouissaoui, is the eighth of ten children who grew up in the dusty streets on the outskirts of Sfax, an industrial town on the coast.
He could not find regular employment but worked as a bicycle mechanic and in an olive press before turning his hand to selling contraband untaxed petrol to passing motorists.
On 25 September he boarded an illegal migrant boat to the Italian island of Lampedusa – one of tens of thousands of poverty-stricken Africans who make the dangerous crossing into Europe every year.
It comes as it emerged that Aouissaoui spent up to two days in the city plotting his murderous attack at the city's Notre Dame cathedral.
Anti-terrorist police made two further arrests in and around the port city on Saturday, bringing the total number of Islamist suspects in custody to four.
Two sisters allegedly stabbed a security guard 27 times after he asked them to wear a face mask at a shop.
Jessica Hill, 21, and her 18-year-old sister Jayla entered a retail store in Chicago on Sunday and got into a verbal confrontation with the male security guard, 32.
According to police, the sisters were told by the man that they had to wear a face mask and use hand sanitiser to enter the Snipes shore store.
Reports claim Jayla began filming the security guard, and allegedly said she was calling someone to “kick his ass", prompting him to reach out and try to grab the phone, prosecutors said.
But the argument became physical when Jessica pulled out a bladed comb and stabbed him 27 times in the back, neck and arms, according to the criminal complaint.
It is also alleged that Jayla held the victim down by his hair during the attack. He did not need surgery and is in a stable condition.
The security guard and an assistant store manager pleaded for the sisters to stop, and when the victim finally broke free, the women allegedly kicked him in the head and body, prosecutors said.
Jessica allegedly taunted the man following the attack, calling him "b***h" and telling him he had gotten "f****d up" by her and Jayla.
Jessica and Jayla were taken to hospital following the attack after suffering minor lacerations.
The pair's defense attorney claimed the women were acting in self-defense and argued that they were "overcharged".
Both were later charged with attempted first-degree murder, according to police. Jail records show they are currently being held without bond.

Mary Trump has warned that if her uncle, President Donald Trump – who she called 'vile' is reelected on Tuesday, the U.S. could be at risk of becoming an 'authoritarian state.'
According to a 'panel of experts' the president's niece said she put together last week, 'The message is... Donald has [apparently] done everything in his power to dismantle every institution that comprises the U.S.'
'We're looking at an authoritarian state if we allow him to continue unimpeded,' she told MSNBC's Joy Reid during an interview on 'AM Joy' Sunday morning.
Mary also told The New Yorker in an interview published as part of a report Sunday that if Trump is defeated, he and his associates will spend the weeks between now and inauguration 'breaking as much stuff on the way out as they can—he'll steal as much of the taxpayers' money as he can.'
'As if my blood pressure weren't high enough,' Mary told Reid in her television interview. 'He is vile. He is actively calling on American citizens to commit violence against other American citizens simply for voicing their opinions.'
'This is so dangerous,' she added. 'He is doing the same thing with his armed supporters to go watch the polls. And we know which neighborhoods he's sending these people to. So, it can't be clearer what he is doing. Please understand that he will allow violence to be committed in his name in order to take this election because he knows he can't win it legitimately.'

A knifeman shouting 'Allahu Akbar' was shot dead by police after stabbing an officer and trying to set fire to a police station in a Muslim-majority region of Russia.
The 16-year-old was armed with a knife and a Molotov cocktail and inflicted multiple wounds on a police officer before being shot dead in Kukmor.
Local media named the teenage attacker as Russian Vitaly Antopov.
In a chilling video before the attack, Antipov told how he intended to destroy a cafe which he saw as sinful and 'devilish'.
It is unclear why he instead targeted a police station.
Filmed as he walked in darkness to the scene, the 16 year old - whose mother is reportedly a devout Muslim - said: 'May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be with you.
'I'm now going, to blow up... or I mean to burn a cafe, where they… listen to music… A club where they sell alcohol... Such a vile, devilish place. Inshallah, it will be destroyed.'
The video was revealed by BAZA media which said it was withholding the full footage because it included calls to attack police.
Russia's Investigative Committee said it was treating the incident as an attempted act of terrorism and had opened a criminal case.
Russian news agency Interfax said the teenager had shouted 'Allahu Akbar' and called police 'infidels' during his assault in the region of Tatarstan.
Investigators said the teenager had tried to set fire to a district police building and stabbed the police officer while being arrested.
He is said to have screamed 'I am going to kill you all' as he stabbed an officer three times in the hip and arm.
Another police officer had fired warning shots into the air before being forced to open fire, officials said, saying the teenager had died of his wounds before medics could arrive on the scene.
Investigators have opened a case into an 'attempted terrorist act' and 'encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer', the committee said.
Antipov was reported to be from the Altai region in Siberia and had a job working in a halal cafe named Barakat.
Its owner Marat Zamaleev had served 14 years for sabotage and the Illegal manufacture of weapons.
