Sunday Igboho has reacted to the fire that gutted his old house in Ibadan early today, saying he was not going to blame anyone, until an investigation has been concluded.
Igboho said he was not in a hurry to blame any individual or group for the suspected arson.
He said he would allow authorities to conduct investigation into the incident.
“I cannot blame anyone right now for the attack, not even Fulani people,” he said by telephone hours after the attack.
“We have to thank God that nobody was killed, it is more important,” he told the Peoples Gazette.
Igboho’s property in Soka, Ibadan was gutted by fire at about 3am today.
He said he moved out of the property about a year ago to a new property also in Soka.
Igboho, real name Sunday Adeyemo, zoomed to national attention after he gave a quit notice to Fulani herdsmen in Igangan, Ibarapa.

A stony-faced picture of Melania Trump touching down in Florida after her husband was relinquished of his presidential duties has sparked rumours of divorce as Donald Trump’s niece claims he doesn’t understand "intimacy."
The appearance sparked rumours there may be trouble ahead for the couple, with many speculating divorce could be on the cards.
Donald Trump’s niece, Mary Trump, told the Sunday Telegraph she believes he does love Melania but the pair do not understand each other.
She claims her uncle doesn’t "understand affection" or "intimacy" and that may play a part in the seemingly cold marriage.
Mary told the Sunday Telegraph: "I don’t believe he understands affection or intimacy."
She added that the "damage" Donald did to the US is "incalculable" and said the country is waiting to "find out how much is irreparable."
In July 2020, Mary published a book about Donald, "Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World´s Most Dangerous Man."
Her scathing comments come as CNN reported the former First Lady "slept in separate rooms" in the days before the couple "checked out" of the White House.
She was described by sources as "not sad to be leaving" the White House and Washington and just wanted to "go home."
A source told CNN: "Donald Trump slept in his own bedroom, which was previously a study or den during other administrations."
A toddler and a six-year-old boy have been married off to a dog after the pair started to get teeth through their upper gums which is considered to be a "bad omen."
The two families married off their children to a mutt of the opposite gender in a bizarre wedding after their infants' teeth began to come through.
Developing teeth in the upper gum is considered a "bad omen" in the Mayurbhanj district of India.
The Ho tribe follows a superstitious tradition of marrying the children off to dogs, with the two kids treated as grooms and the dog as a bride.
According to the New Indian Express, the wedding occurred in the Dadusahi village near Sukruli block on Friday 22 January 2021.
It is reported the parents and leader of the village went through with the practice to "ward off evil spirits."
The tradition is said to have been followed by the small community for generations.
Noren Purty conducted the "marriage" of the children at a junction of two roads as a gathering of local and tribal people watched on in support.
The child’s mother reportedly told Kaling TV: "We performed the marriage because it will overcome any curse that might fall on the child as well on us."
In the lead up to the nuptials, the family of the bride, in this case, a dog, washes the feet of the guests as a token of respect.
After the ceremony took place, tribal people reportedly walked across the road and petted the dog.
With them, they took a spot of Handia, a type of rice beer.
The child was then taken on a procession through the village, as people danced to a traditional song called Madal, Kaling TV claims.
Despite the bride being a dog, the groom's side is expected to provide some money to the female side to carry out the marriage.
In some cultures, this is known as a dowry, which is the transfer of parental property, gifts, property or money at the marriage of a daughter.
The Ondo State Security Network Agency, aka Operation Amotekun, has arrested a 46-year-old man, Shina Adaramola, for alleged theft in Owo, the headquarters of Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The suspect, a bricklayer, during interrogation, claimed to have robbed over 100 houses, adding that he used charms to r*pe about 50 women.
The suspect said, “I live in Ijare. I had a fiancée who left me for another man a few days to our wedding. I became broke and frustrated and that was why I got involved in armed robbery, which was lucrative for me.
“Whenever there is a party, I pretend to be one of the organisers. I have a special wine opener which I use to open wine for rich people in the party. With that, I get my victims.
“I have been involved in this act for a long time since I lost everything and my landlord chased me out of his house, and my fiancée said I was not good for her anymore.
“I have r*ped about 50 women. Whenever I wanted to rape any woman, I always make sure I operate at night and the woman will fall for me after using charms on her. I make sure I cover the women’s faces while in the act.”
The Commander of the Amotekun, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, said the suspect was arrested by the corps during their ‘Operation Clean Up’ exercise.
An Oduduwa Republic agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, says some Yoruba leaders have warned President Muhammadu not to order his arrest.
Igboho has been in the news recently following an ultimatum he gave to herdsmen in the Ibarapa Local Government Area of Oyo State to leave within seven days, blaming the leadership of the Fulani for being behind the rising insecurity in the state.
Days later, violence erupted in the area during which 11 cars and some other belongings of the Seriki Fulani of Igangan, Alhaji Saliu Abdulkadir, were burnt.
Abdulkadir told SaharaReporters that he, his wives and children were sent out of the settlement.
The Seriki thereafter fled the community with his family, as rampaging youths set fire to his belongings.
Speaking with SaharaReporters, Igboho’s Personal Assistant, Salami Oladapo, said that neither his principal nor his supporters were responsible for the arson.
Last Saturday, it was reported that Mohammed Adamu, Inspector General of Police (IGP), had directed Ngozi Onadeko, Oyo Commissioner of Police, to arrest Igboho and transfer him to Abuja.
In a trending video, Igboho, while addressing a crowd, said Yoruba leaders were not pleased with the killing of their people by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
Speaking in Yoruba, he said, “All our fathers, we thank them, including the Aare Onakakanfo. They have all spoken up. Now that we are here, I beg you in the name of God, I don’t want us to disrespect any of our Yoruba leaders.
“You people are just unaware. I swear to God, they are also not happy with what is going on but now they are speaking up and won’t condone what is going on.
“Look at all the Yoruba leaders that have spoken up; the way Yoruba people are warning them, that (President Muhammadu) Buhari dares not (arrest me). That now, it is war. If they dare arrest Igboho, it will turn to war.
“See the way (Femi) Fani-Kayode has spoken up and he is not joking with what he is saying. They are killing us, kidnapping us, treating us badly in our fatherland.”
A Kaduna High Court has directed the state government to treat Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky’s wife, Zeenah for COVID-19.
Last week the son of the duo raised the alarm that his mother has contracted the virus.
At the commencement of the trial on Monday, his counsel, Femi Falana (SAN), said that the Shiite leader’s wife has COVID-19.
Falana told the court that they applied that Zeenah who is the second defendant in the trial be allowed to visit a medical facility for immediate treatment. He presented the results of Zeenah’s test before the court.
He presented the results of Zeenah’s test before the court.
He argued that “the medical facility at the Kaduna correctional centre did not have the needed facilities to treat the virus.
“Today at the resumed trial of the client case, the prosecution brought four witnesses including a medical doctor who testified before the court.
“But we also applied to the court, we drew the attention of the court on behalf of our clients to the fact that the wife of our client, Zeenah had tested positive for the dangerous Covid-19 and she is being treated in the medical centre of the correctional facility.
” We applied to the court that the authorities should take her to a government hospital that has the facility to treat the virus.”
The prosecution, Chris Umar however, did not object to the application.
In his ruling, the presiding judge, Justice Gideon Kurada of the Kaduna State High Court then directed the state government to treat the wife of the Shiites leader for Covid-19.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 1,430 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 122,996.
The NCDC disclosed this on its official Twitter handle on Monday.
“Our discharges today include 435 community recoveries in Lagos State and 184 community recoveries in Kaduna State managed in line with guidelines,” the NCDC said.
The President, Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman has said that there is no such thing as a probe ordered by the Inspector General of Police on him.
Apostle Suleman made the reaction after media reports emerged on Monday that the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, had ordered a probe over an allegation that he (Apostle Suleman) was sleeping with the wife of one Pastor Mike Davids, threatening the pastor’s life and denying the pastor access to his children.
The wife in question was named as Pastor Faith Edeko, who leads the Omega Fire Ministries branch in Utako, Abuja. Her husband, Pastor Davids, is said to have left the Apostle Suleman’s church.
However, in his reaction, Apostle Suleman tweeted on Monday: “IGP orders probe on me?where, when?.maybe my ghost. just reading stories now. Please discard..
“There is no such thing..
“Bad press really sells fast.”

The Kaduna Electric Distribution Company last Wednesday disconnected electricity supply to the home of late Alhaji Shehu Shagari, the Second Republic President of Nigeria, over unpaid bills estimated to be over N6m.
Occupants of the house, including late Shagari wives and relations, were saved from darkness, as the light was later reconnected same day, following intervention or a surety who promised to settle the bill.
A KAEDCO official at the Sokoto business office, who pleaded not to be named, informed our correspondent that the light was reconnected on a strong commitment to settle the outstanding bill by an anonymous surety. He, however, did not disclose the anonymous surety.
KAEDCO spokesman, Abdulaziz Abdullahi, who confirmed the disconnection of the late President home located on Sama Road, in Sokoto, said, “The bill has not been paid since the former president died on December 28, 2018 at the age of 93.
“The company has given enough grace for them to settle the bills before the disconnection.”
A family source disclosed that prior to Shagari’s death; the state government footed the electricity bills of the former leader.
A Ugandan court ordered security forces to cease surrounding the home of opposition leader Bobi Wine, who has been under house arrest since the January 14 presidential election.
Hours after the court’s order on Monday, Bobi Wine’s large compound in a leafy northern suburb of the capital, Kampala, remained blockaded.
“The military still surrounds my home, blocking access to all,” he wrote on Twitter.
Troops have blocked the 38-year-old pop star-turned-politician from leaving his house since he voted in the January 14 election where he ran against long-serving incumbent President Yoweri Museveni.
“The judge ordered that the state and its agencies should immediately vacate his property and his right to personal liberty should immediately be reinstated,” lawyer George Musisi said on Monday.
Uganda’s military was aware of the court ruling and would comply, said military spokeswoman Brigadier Flavia Byekwaso, without specifying when soldiers would depart.
Pressure has been mounting on the government to free Bobi Wine, including from the United States and rights group Amnesty International which called his incarceration arbitrary and politically motivated.
Joel Ssenyonyi, spokesman for Wine’s National Unity Platform (NUP), said lawyers were moving to serve the court order to security agencies. “Their continued presence there is illegal,” he said.
Museveni, 76, who has been in power since 1986, was declared winner of the poll with 59 percent of votes versus 35 percent for Bobi Wine, who had for years denounced corruption and nepotism in his songs.
Bobi Wine rejected the result, alleging fraud which the government denies.
Bobi Wine has accused Museveni of staging a “coup” in last week’s election and is urging his supporters to protest his loss through nonviolent means. But he suggested in a statement on Friday he might not go to court to challenge the official results because of concerns a possible loss there would validate Museveni’s win.
Ugandan authorities have said Bobi Wine can only leave his home on the outskirts of the capital under military escort because they fear his presence in public could incite rioting.
But the judge said in his ruling that Bobi Wine’s home is not a proper detention facility and noted authorities should criminally charge him if he threatens public order.
Police spokesman Patrick Onyango said he had no immediate comment as the ruling had not been received. There was no immediate reaction from the government or confirmation from the court.
Former Ekiti State Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party, Dr Tope Aluko, on Monday, dumped the party to join the All Progressives Congress.
Aluko, an ally of former governor Ayodele Fayose, who announced his decision at an event held at the APC Ward B Secretariat, in Irepodun/Ifelodun Council area of the state, described the APC as a blessing to his Iyin Ekiti hometown.
He said, “I can boldly say that the APC remains the only party to align with at this present time. All Tope Aluko followers are currently enlisting into APC and I am happy to be part of the moving train.
“I can beat my chest and say I am in safe hands as APC is lucky to be in the hands of focused leaders like Governor Kayode Fayemi, Otunba Niyi Adebayo and others in the state.
“If you are from Iyin Ekiti, you will know that Governor Kayode really favoured us in elective and appointive positions. So, I am coming to add value to this party. I am not here to cause trouble. They have given me the guidelines and I am ready to abide by it in the interest of discipline in our party.”
Aluko, who described Fayose as “a mentor, brother and friend,” said, “In December last year, I told the former governor that I wanted to settle down in Iyin Ekiti and play my politics. I told him I would be joining APC and he approved of it. So, this defection won’t strain our relationship in any way.”
APC State Chairman, Paul Omotoso, who alongside other party chieftains received Aluko into the party, described him as “big fish.”

Ace Nigerian broadcaster Bisi Olatilo has recovered from COVID-19 after two weeks of treatment at the Mainland Hospital in Yaba, Lagos.
Olatilo, the Chairman of Biscon Communications, is thankful to the Managing Director of the hospital, Dr Abimbola Bowale, who he says led a strong team of medical practitioners to treat him for the pandemic.
He is also thankful to the Chairman of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital who also helped to ensure he got appropriate treatment.
The broadcaster is also grateful to the Chairman of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, Founder of Zenon Petroleum and Gas Company Limited Mr Femi Otedola, and Chief Segun Osoba among others.
He is especially thankful to his wife, Folashade Olatilo who kept vigil, praying night and day for his recovery.
Many Nigerians had expressed concerns and wished Olatilo a full recovery from the pandemic. He is also thankful to them “for their collective prayers” which he believes aided his recovery.
Earlier in January, Olatilo has debunked rumours making the rounds that he had died.
In a video which was recorded in a hospital, the 67-year-old, however, confirmed that he had contracted the virus. The broadcaster had equally thanked his doctors for working to ensure he was hale and hearty.
“Nothing is wrong with me. It is the fake news merchants… tell anyone you know that I am strong, nothing is wrong with me. I just want to rest,” he had said in the viral video debunking rumours about his demise.
The Nigerian Government, despite the security challenge in the county, has said the current situation is better than what the situation was in 2015.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, disclosed this while answering questions at a press conference in Abuja on Monday.
He was joined at the briefing by the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola.
He said, "I can say without hesitation that, though Nigeria is facing security challenges, the situation is far better than what we met in 2015."
He explained how daily bombings by Boko Haram members were being witnessed in about 12 states, including Abuja before the inception of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.
He also stated that the situation has changed for the better.
“There is no doubt that we are much better than how it was,” he added.
