As many as four people have been reported dead after a aircraft carrying tourists over the Alps and a helicopter crashed, Daily Star UK reports.
Las Stampa newspaper said the accident happened on the Rutor glacier in Italy at around 8,200ft above sea level in northern Italy.
Two people were injured, mountain rescue men have moved to the scene.
Helicopters have been sent from Ivrea, Turin and Borgo Sesia.
Mountain rescue officials confirmed it was a crash between a "helicopter and a touring airplane".
Six hospital intensive care wards have been put on standby to receive paitents from the crash.
