Britney Spears' manager confirms troubled singer may never perform again

Britney Spears' longtime manager has admitted the superstar singer may never perform again after being plunged into another mental health crisis.

The pop singer had to cancel her latest Las Vegas residency, which had been due to kick off in February, after she checked into a clinic.

Her crisis is believed to have been sparkled when her dad Jamie fell seriously ill, and she has since been involved in a court battle with him over his conservatorship over her affairs.

TMZ.com now reports that Spears is not well enough to resume rehearsals for the Vegas shows.


Rudolph has also told the website that he fears Britney may never be well enough to perform again.

He said: "From what I have gathered it's clear to me she should not be going back to do this Vegas residency, not in the near future and possibly never again...

"I don't want her to work again 'till she's ready, physically, mentally and passionately.

"If that time never comes again it will never come again. I have no desire or ability to make her work again

" I am only here for her when she wants to work. And, if she ever does want to work again, I'm here to tell her if it's a good idea or a bad idea."
