The Manchester United legend married Kate Wright in a three-day wedding party at D Marie Bay Hotel in Turkey this weekend, but was back at work on Tuesday.
Ferdinand, in his role as a pundit for BT Sport, is in the studio for Tottenham's Champions League group game with German giants Bayern Munich.
And when quizzed about his big day by Gary Lineker had a quick response for the host. "Rio, shouldn't you be on your honeymoon?" Lineker asked ahead of the match in north London.
Ferdinand responded: "No, no, no, we will leave that to another time. We have important things to do here in the studio."
Lineker then added: "Footballer is always the priority, is that right?" to which Ferdinand replied to much laughter from the studio: "Yes, and she knows that!
The couple exchanged vows on Friday evening in front of their friends and family in Turkey, two years after they started dating.
Ferdinand's three children Lorenz, 13, Tate, and Tia, eight, were all in attendance at the ceremony.
