Mum-of-seven dies just 24 hours after her wedding day following cancer battle

A mum-of-seven died just 24 hours after marrying her long-term partner. Tragic Katrina Scott was just 32 when she lost her fight for light after a battle with liver cancer.

The care worker had desperately wanted to marry her partner of 10 years, Jay, and said her vows in front of friends and family on November 14.

She died at the Royal Derby Hospital the following day, Derbyshire Live reports .

Now her friends are collecting Christmas presents for her children to take the pressure off her husband.

She was mum to Callum, 13, Levi, nine, Tyler, 11, twins Kaitlin-Rose and Poppy-Mae, six and Lillie-Rose, seven.

She also has a 22-year-old step-daughter, Ayesha.

Jay, a builder and landscaper, said: "It's devastating. We worked well together, she always made everybody laugh.

"We worked very hard for everything we had as a family. She was very popular and had a big family."
