The singer, who reached the semi-finals of the show in 2018, entered a guilty plea when faced with a string of child sex offences.
Tetley, 39, induced five teenage boys aged 15 and 16 to send him indecent images for money.
He formally entered his guilty pleas to five charges of causing sexual exploitation of a child.
Recorder of Bradford Crown Court, Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC lifted a reporting restriction and it can now be revealed Tetley pleaded guilty to four other charges involving two 14-year-olds at a previous hearing.
Prosecutor Michael Smith told the court the Crown would not seek to try Tetley on other outstanding allegations to which he had pleaded not guilty and the case was now ready for sentence.
He said: "The investigation is complete and the victims have been identified."
Barrister Andrew Dallas, for Tetley, asked for the sentence to be adjourned so the defence had time to consider "well over 10,000" text messages or WhatsApp messages which had been served.
Tetley, who appeared in the dock wearing a black short-sleeve T-shirt and pale blue jeans, was remanded back into custody until next month.
The performer, who made the live shows in last year’s X Factor and came in sixth place, will be sentenced on January 24, next year.
