Well, some years back my big sis met this guy and they fell inlove,they dated for over 7 solid years,but his parents were against their Union.

The mother,father and his elder sister in particular hated her with passion. Despite the fact that she loves, respects and showers them with gifts.
His father’s reason (according to his son) was that, he can’t marry an Imo lady an educated one at that.
His mother’s reason was that she wanted a very light skinned lady for her son.
While his sister’s reason was that she was too pretty to make a good wife for her brother (stating that pretty ladies cheat)
We tried all we could to separate them including involving the police, but all to no avail, he vowed that he’d rather die than break up with her and so did my sister.
Meanwhile, while they were still dating, sometimes his parents come to my sister’s abode and beat her up warning her to stay away from their son. And she kept it all away from us(Her family).
Along the line she took in and had a son for him. Yet his parents vowed and said over their dead bodies would they ever consent to their union.
Five years later,his family finally came to us pleading and saying that they have agreed that their son should finally tie the nut with my sister. But I refused,likewise my mom and my siblings.
I told them that after several years of hatred on the poor girl, why the sudden change?
What prompted that sudden love for her?
Is it cuz she now has a son for their son?
But my dad after several consideration thought it was wise for her to accept him,that being a single mom would bring down her dignity and prestige before her fellow women in the society someday, even if she’s capable of taking care of her child alone.
That was it,the traditional marriage was held on the 20th Feb 2012 in my hometown.
She followed her in-laws home that same day(As tradition demands).
About a week with them in their home in Oba Anambra state,they brought her home very sick.
A week later she passed on in Usman Danfodio Teaching Hospital Sokoto state(UDUTH).
After the doctors discovered she had food poisoning which was meant to kill her slowly.
She died right in my arms in the hospital,after vomiting so much blood.
About three years later,his parents got him another woman from their home town who unfortunately has now become a torn in their flesh. And also maltreats my little nephew so much that it always makes me cry. 😭😭😭
Not only that, She also engages her so called in-laws in physical combat,and recently her father in-law passed on mysteriously.
So my dear,there’s more to marriage than just you and your spouse. The both families have to appreciate,love and give their consent otherwise you might not find peace in that home, that’s if you don’t end up loosing your precious life along the line. Like my sis.
Nobody is worth dying for all in the name of love. Cus the moment you’re gone they’ll move on with their lives. Be wise my sister.

Woman Marrying Her Duvet Reveals Details Of Lavish Wedding Ceremony

A woman is planning to marry her duvet as she claims it's the 'most intimate and reliable relationship' she's ever had.

Pascale Sellick, 49, is organising a lavish ceremony with the help of a wedding planner to celebrate her love for the bedding.

The artist, who describes herself as a "rude, crude, spectacular exhibitionist", issued an open invitation to anyone wishing to celebrate with her.

She said: "My duvet is the longest, strongest, most intimate and reliable relationship that I have ever had. That's because it has always been there for me and gives me great hugs.


"I love my duvet so much I would like to invite people to witness my union with the most constant, comforting companion in my life.

"There will be music and a ceremony, laughs and entertainment."

Pascale will be wearing a nightgown, dressing gown and slippers for the big day, but she's keeping her husband-to-be's outfit a surprise.

The ceremony will be held on February 10 at Rougemont Gardens in Exeter, Devon followed by a "free wedding party" at The Glorious Art House in Fore Street.

Guests have been asked to wear dressing gowns, pyjamas, onesies, and slippers with the option of also bringing cuddly teddies or hot water bottles if it's cold.

UBTH Doctor Found Dead In Benin Hotel

The Police in Edo State on Thursday confirmed that a medical doctor, Dr Osasogie Ogbeide, was found dead in a hotel in the state capital, Benin.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Hakeem Odumosu, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Benin on Thursday, that Ogbeide was of the Radiology Department of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital.

According to Odumosu, it is not a case of murder or kidnap.

“The doctor checked into a hotel on Saturday and was not seen going out on Sunday nor did anyone visit him, so, the door was forced open on Sunday.


 “He was found lying face down on the bed. The bed sheet was not even ruffled. There was also a bottle of soft drink in the room.

“There was no sign of struggle or anything on him. We are looking into a case of suicide or suffocation,” he said.

Odumosu however, said that an autopsy was being conducted on the corpse adding that the police was waiting for the report.

Bride Brands Family 'Murderers' & Bans Them From Her Wedding

Planning a wedding can be a pretty stressful experience and it's fair to say that occasionally it all gets too much for some people.

We've seen brides make rather bizarre demands and decisions in the run up to their big day - from asking bridesmaids to change the colour of their eyes to setting strict dress codes.

However one bride-to-be has taken things to a whole other level after revealing she'd banned many of her relatives from attending her wedding.

And there's a rather surprising reason why.


Taking to a vegan Facebook group, the unnamed woman from Australia, admitted that she hadn't invited any of her meat-eat eating family members to the event.

She claims she's having a "fully vegan" wedding and didn't want any "omnivores" spoiling her big day.

The woman even went as far as to brand her relatives "murderers" due to their choice of diet.

It seems she was hoping for some support with her post, but many people were unimpressed with her words and slammed her for being "unreasonable".
She wrote: "When 'family' tries to guilt trip you into letting them come to your fully vegan wedding even though they are omnivores.

"Just for some context, some family members were told they are not invited to my wedding because we don't want to host murderers at our wedding which is supposed to be one of the happiest days of our lives."

One person who saw her post thought it was "messed up".

They replied: "As a vegan, this is messed up... you can't go around calling your family murderers!"
Another commented: "She is out of her mind. I'd be happy to cut her off of my life if I were the family."

A third added: "My cousin had a perfectly delicious vegan buffet at her wedding and all the carnivores had a great time."

After being hit with the backlash, the bride-to-be decided to shed a little more light on the situation.

She shared an update, telling people in the group that her family "attacked" her and her partner for being vegan but now that she's getting married her relatives want to be "all buddy buddy" with her again.

She explained: "When I broke the news to them, all I got was attacked because I don't want the weight of having people that still kill animals at my wedding on my conscience.

"I posted in here because I thought I would get some understanding from the people doing the same thing as me.

"I have tried to educate these people for more than two years with no result so I'm not putting up with it at my wedding of all days when they will probably cause problems there too."

She added: "I'm not sorry if that makes me 'rude' or 'a b****' because I am not compromising the ethics that I share with everyone here."

Victor Moses Set To Join Fenerbahce

Victor Moses is set to join Fenerbahce in the next 24 hours as he looks for a way out of Chelsea.

Moses is expected to join the Turkish club on loan until the end of the season after his permanent move to China collapsed.

Moses left Farnorough Airport to head for Turkey on Wednesday to complete a medical.

According to Goal, Moses is no longer part of manager Maurizio Sarri's plans at Stamford Bridge.

He is contracted to Chelsea until the end of June 2021 but he wants to leave this summer and now has a chance to attract further interest.

Pictures have been released of inside the Chicago music studio where troubled rapper R Kelly is accused of keeping women against their will.

The building was raided by officials from the city as a task force looked into a number of violations that are believed to have happened.

Officials say there was evidence found to indicate the the building was being used as a residence, despite this being against its stipulated use.

Where Is Aisha Buhari?

Wife of the president, Aisha has not been campaigning along with President Muhammadu in his re-election bid and this has raised concern as to her whereabouts.

But TheCable understands that she is currently abroad for medical reasons, although her office has refused to confirm or deny the speculation.

When TheCable contacted Suleiman Haruna, media aide to the president’s wife, he said he did not have any comments.

“Honestly, honestly, I don’t have any comment on that. People have been calling me. I don’t have any comment on that,” Haruna said.

Speaking with TheCable on Wednesday, a presidency source explained that the president’s wife has not been seen campaigning for her husband “because she is ill”.

“For about two weeks now, you will observe that the president’s wife has not been campaigning. She is ill and she has travelled abroad for treatment,” the source said.

TheCable understands that she will be back by Monday.

Earlier in the month, Buhari’s wife set up a 700-member team for her husband’s second term bid.

The large team, mainly made up of women, was inaugurated by the president on January 4 at Aso Rock.

At the event, she explained that her team would serve as a support to the main campaign council co-chaired by Bola Tinubu, former Lagos governor and a national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“It will operate as a sister body with necessary legwork and outreach and will mobilise women and youths across the country,” the president’s wife said.

She then led her team to a rally in Kano state on January 5. But that was about the last time she was seen in public working for her husband’s reelection bid.

On January 12, her team arrived Owerri, Imo state, to campaign but she was absent.

Aisha was represented by Dolapo, co-chairperson of the team and wife to Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo.

Although she has been critical of some Buhari’s inner circle, she has openly supported her husband’s quest for a second term in office.

It’s Too Late For Ezekwesili To Step Down- INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission says it is too late for any candidate to withdraw from elections.

The Director, Voter Education and Publicity, Oluwole Osaze-Uzzi, said this during a chat with Punch correspondent on Thursday.

He said this while reacting to the withdrawal of the Presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria, Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili, and a few others.

The INEC official said since it had released its final list of candidates last week, it had become too late for anybody to withdraw, adding that the logo of the parties would still appear on the ballot paper come February 16.


Osaze-Uzzi said, “According to the Electoral Act, there is a time for withdrawal and that time has passed.  We have published a list of candidates and on election day, these are the parties that you will see. It is too late.”

Ezekwesili, who is a former Minister of Education, had on Thursday announced her withdrawal from the Presidential election, insisting that she would rather form a coalition with like minds in order to win the election.

Now, a new study has revealed the effect that having tattoos has on your s-x life. Researchers from the University of Miami have found that people with tattoos are more likely to have a higher number of s-x partners in the past year.

In the study, the researchers surveyed 2,008 adults - some of who had tattoos and some who didn’t.

The survey revealed that people with tattoos were more likely to be smokers, to have spent time in prison, and to have had a higher number of s-xual partners. Worryingly, these individuals were also more likely to be diagnosed with a mental health issue, and to report sleep issues.

Malaysian King 'Set To Divorce Russian Model 25 Years Younger Than Him'

A Malaysian king's "fairytale" marriage to a Russian model nearly 25 years his junior is on the rocks after just two months, it is claimed.

Reports suggest Sultan Muhammad V of Kelantan, 49, and new bride Oksana Voevodina, 25, are set to divorce.

The couple are said to be expecting their first child, having tied the knot in Moscow in November.

But the bride's dad has rubbished the claims, telling Russian media it is "nonsense".

Surgeon Andrey Gorbatenko said: "It's nonsense. I do not read the internet but I would have been the
first to know."
News outlet Tolko Nikomu wrote: "The fairytale about the Russian Cinderella who married a king is likely to be over… preparing the necessary documents is already underway.

"The marriage lasted just a couple of months."
And Russian news site Izvestia claims the pair have decided to divorce.

Celebrity magazine Starhit claims frequent rows had marred the relationship.

However pals of Ms Voevodina say reports of a split are based on "fake information".

Fela Durotoye 'Ready' To Step Down For Sowore

Fela Durotoye, presidential candidate of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), has expressed readiness to step down for either Omoyele Sowore, presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) or Kingsley Moghalu, presidential candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP), if a transparent process to select a consensus candidate produces someone other than himself.

Durotoye said this on Thursday in response to the withdrawal of Oby Ezekwesili, presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), from the race.

Durotoye has now expressed readiness to follow suit.



“I have always believed that leadership is about service and sacrifice and today, I would like to commend Dr. (Mrs) Oby Ezekwesili @obyezeks for leading the charge to forming a viable coalition to presenting a Consensus Candidate for the 2019 Presidential elections,” he said.

“To ensure that an alliance is formed and we present a united front, I AM READY to come into any coalition talks with my brothers Omoyele Sowore @yelesho and Prof. Kingsley Moghalu @moghalukingsley and to submit myself to any transparent process that will help us arrive at a selection of a Consensus Candidate from amongst us.

“To be clear, if the process produces any other candidate apart from myself, I AM READY to support whoever the consensus candidate is and to do all I can to support the coalition to win the 2019 Presidential elections for our generation.

“Once again, I implore the frontline candidates in our generation. Let us come together and seize this historic window of opportunity for our generation to select one of us to go ahead of us ... so that ALL OF US can come together and speak with one voice at the 2019 General Elections. Since late last year the 37-year-old has been the subject of critical reports, including that royal staff dubbed her “Duchess Difficult" and that she had made Kate Middleton cry in the run up to the royal wedding in May.

A pal is quotes as saying: “She was working on all her projects in private, but couldn’t say anything publicly as her patronages hadn’t been announced.

“Since she shut down her public Instagram , she’d had a fake account to follow her friends.

“There was some really vile stuff written by social media trolls and obviously she also saw the headlines about her."
The source says the abuse got to her to such an extent she shut the account down before Christmas.

The suits actress was very active in Instagram before meeting Harry, regularly posting pictures of her swanky Toronto house.

The Court of Appeal in Abuja has barred the Code of Conduct Tribunal from proceeding with hearing in the false assets declaration suit filed against the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen.
