Presidency Launches Probe On APC’s Loss In Oyo, Ondo

Indications emerged that the presidency may have launched a probe into the loss by the All Progressives Congress, APC of Oyo and Ondo States in penultimate saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections.

This is coming after the party’s National Working Committee NWC said that Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State would be queried for alleged anti party activity given the ill-fortune of the party at the polls.

The party’s NWC has since suspended governors lbikunle Amosun and Rochas Okorocha of Ogun and Imo States.


In Ondo State, the Peoples Democratic Party candidate Atiku Abubakar won with a margin of 34,132 votes while he won with 1,461 difference in Oyo State.

President Buhari won in the four other Southwest states of Ogun, Lagos, Ekiti, and Osun. A source in the Presidency confided in Vanguard that the president was “particularly piqued by the outcome of the election in the two states, especially Ondo state where the governor had assured him that all was well.

He said the circumstances leading to the ‘below the belt performance’ would be investigated.

Man Poses As Prophet To Swindle Miracle Seekers

A 42-year-old suspected leader of a syndicate that specialised in defrauding unsuspecting persons has revealed that he posed as a prophet to swindle his victims, who are mostly miracle seekers.

The suspect, Osuji Chibuzor, also confessed to give fake prophesies to his victims and thereafter, asked them to get money for some spiritual cleansing.

The gang, whose office is located at 8, Afolabi Street, Iju Shaga and 7, Salami Street, Oko Oba, Agege, was arrested by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, after his gang allegedly defrauded a woman of N165.000.

Explaining how she was swindled, the 34-year-old woman (names withheld) said: “I boarded a private taxi in Ojota to Ojodu Berger. On reaching Oregun, the driver picked another passenger.


“They started by saying I had some spiritual problems. Before I knew it, I ended up at their Iju office, where they collected all the money on me and the one in my bank account.

“They made me swear to an oath never to inform anyone. Thereafter, Osuji requested that I bring another N60,000 to complete the ritual.

 “After collecting N165,000, they still would not let me rest. I borrowed N60,000 being the balance of what they needed. I was on the way to hand it over to them when I regained my senses.

“Luckily for me, with the assistance of a patrol team of RRS men, I was able to lure him out and got him arrested.” During interrogation, Chibuzor disclosed that his role was to give negative prophesy, particularly of death to victim, who out of fear would seek for solution, while other members of the gang had their respective roles.

The lawsuit (Suit No: FHC/L/CS/230/2019) was filed at the Federal High Court, Lagos. Like we said, it was on the 13th day of February, 2019.

Trump Set America Back With $1.3m With His Meeting With Kim Jong-Un Which Brought Out Nothing

President Trump was at Vietnam to meet Kim Jong-un, but he did it using a ton of taxpayer dollars and got nothing out of it.

TMZ did some digging on the cost of Trump's second summit with Kim Jong-un in Hanoi, and turns out it was at least $1.3 million, much of which went toward putting Americans up for a couple of nights and making sure they were cozy.

According to federal procurement docs obtained by TMZ… lodging alone for Trump and co. during the two-day summit which wrapped Thursday without a deal on nukes or sanctions ran Uncle Sam upwards of $632k between 3 hotels and miscellaneous costs.


The State Dept. footed the majority of that lodging bill, including a separate $157k for lodging at the Melia Hanoi Hotel -- where Kim Jong-un stayed and where the American press corp was staying as well before getting booted by Kim's camp.

According to reports, Kim became uneasy with the American press in such close proximity, so they were ultimately moved to a new hotel.

The conference rooms alone where Trump and Kim couldn't come to terms cost $316k, and things like lights, stereo systems, drapes and awnings ran about $100k all together. The Dept. of Defense dropped about $60k for leased internet lines.

And as that’s not enough, there were more money that was spent as well ... with ofcus zero results.

Shya L'amour, the mother of Offset's oldest daughter, Kalea, tells TMZ she's noticed tremendous growth from Offset over the last few years and she's giving Cardi all the credit.

It's quite the change in tune from Shya, who made headlines this week when she lashed out at Offset over some lyrics in his new album, "Father Of 4."


As you know ... Shya was PISSED when she heard how Offset portrayed their relationship in one of his new songs claiming he didn't know if he was Kalea's father.

Offset raps ... "Kalea, you my first, first daughter. I missed the first years of your life, I'm sorry. Tell the truth, I ain't really know if I was your father. Tell the truth, I really don't even know your mama."

Shya, who's also in the music biz, says she just wanted to share her side of things because Offset's lyrics hurt her.

Travis Scott Continues Show After Making Up With Kylie Jenner

Even from the road Travis Scott is doing everything he can to patch things up with Kylie Jenner on the heels of her accusing him of cheating.

Travis played NYC's Madison Square Garden Saturday night -- his first show after he pulled the plug in Buffalo Thursday night to pow-wow with Kylie. He never mentioned the allegation directly, but told the packed arena to always "remember to keep your family first."

Recall Kylie confronted her baby daddy after she believed she found evidence he was cheating. For the record, Travis' people say he absolutely never did step out on Kylie -- still, he had to mend fences at home, hence the postponed gig.


Everything seemed back to normal onstage, at least -- at the Garden. Trav closed the show with "SICKO MODE" and made sure to show his NYC fans some love but, more importantly, he saved his closing shout out for "wifey."

According to sources, Kylie is not blowing up her family, she intends to work on the relationship, and so does Travis.

Lucky Escape! Girl Rejected By Ritualists In Delta (Photos)

There was serious jubilation as a young girl regained her freedom after being kidnapped by suspected ritualists in Delta state. It was gathered that the girl was on her way back from school (days after the election on Feb, 23rd) when she was kidnapped in Isoko South local government area of the state.

She said she stopped an Okada on her way home and was told by the bike man that

he wanted to go and buy fuel from a petrol station which she agreed to. The motorcyclist also picked up another man whom he claimed he wanted to help. That was how she was kidnapped and taken into a bush.

The teenage girl said on getting there, she saw two other girls in the ritualists' camp who were blindfolded. She said after being forced to lie down and was about to be killed with a cutlass, the master allegedly prevented his boys from killing her as he said that her head is not good for sacrifice.

The young girl was blindfolded, taken out of the ritualists' camp and dumped by the roadside where she met some women who helped her back to her house.

Serial Thief Nabbed After Storming Ladies’ House (Photos)

A thief got more than he bargained for after being apprehended for stealing in Delta state. According to reports, the young man who is reportedly notorious for stealing – entered a house occupied by two ladies in Sapele area and allegedly stole two phones when the ladies went to have their baths.

The suspect was said to have fled immediately, before an alarm was raised.

The alleged serial thief was given a hot pursuit and caught by the residents. He was also beaten mercilessly by the mob and later dragged to the police station for necessary action.

Former 'Voice' Contestant Janice Freeman Dies At 33

"The Voice" singer Janice Freeman one of Miley Cyrus' favorites on the show is dead. She died Saturday, from an apparent blood clot, her manager confirmed.

Janice's family say she was at home in West Covina with her husband, Dion, when she started complaining she couldn't breathe. Dion called 911 and had to perform CPR on her until paramedics arrived. She was pronounced dead around 5:30 PM at a hospital.

Janice had a slew of serious health issues, having battled lupus, cervical cancer which she'd beaten and then meningitis.


The singer went deep into season 13 of "The Voice" back in 2017. Janice was on 'Team Miley' and made it to the top 11.

She and Miley stayed in touch after the show. Back in 2018, Janice posted a very emotional thank you to Miley for helping her out financially when she and her family were searching for a place to live.

Janice is survived by her husband and daughter. She was 33.

Lady Who Bailed R Kelly Out Gets Bomb THREAT

The woman who paid for R. Kelly's bail has reportedly received a bomb threat at her one-time workplace, which just so happens to be a daycare.

CBS Chicago reporter Brad Edwards tweeted out the news Sunday, saying multiple people had called in a bomb threat Saturday at a local daycare Valencia P. Love either currently works at or used to work at.

Edwards goes on to report that Chicago PD doesn't have anyone in custody and that the local bomb and arson squads cleared the scene.

Cops are currently investigating the bomb threat.


It's unclear if Edwards means that multiple people called in to make the bomb threat themselves, or if multiple people called in to report that a bomb threat had been made.

Interestingly, the status of Love's employment at the daycare is a bit hazy. She's reportedly still listed as a "registered agent" there with the Illinois Secretary of State. But, according to local outlets, the daycare itself and the Dept. of Children and Family Services says Love no longer works there.

You'll recall Love posted the $100k bond R. Kelly needed to get out jail in Chicago last week. She also posted a lengthy statement afterward, saying R. Kelly wasn't a monster and that she was inclined to believe he's innocent of the charges he's facing.

What's morbidly ironic here… a gun threat was called in just a few months ago during the NYC screening of "Surviving R. Kelly" which cleared the building and postponed the event. Law enforcement sources told TMZ at the time that a person of interest with a Chicago area code was being looked into.

R. Kelly's ex-wife, Andrea Kelly, told Variety that she believed R. Kelly was connected to that threat.

Chicago PD later confirmed the details of the bomb scare to TMZ ... saying multiple calls came in Saturday reporting a bomb threat, adding that the daycare center was evacuated. Luckily, no one was injured but cops are still investigating.

Court Orders Actress Monalisa Chinda’s Arrest Over Tax Evasion

A Lagos High Lagos in Igbosere has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of actress and producer, Monalisa Chinda Coker, over a tax evasion charge.

Justice Adedayo Akintoye made the order on January 21, following an application by the Lagos State Ministry of Justice, alleging that Coker had repeatedly failed to honor a court summons.

The application flowed from a two-count charge accusing Coker of a six-year failure to file annual tax returns and failure to pay income tax in respect of her company, Monalisa Code Productions.

Monalisa Code Productions carries on its business from Lekki in Lagos.


Prosecution counsel, Y. A. Pitan told Justice Akintoye that Coker had not appeared in court since 2017, when the charge was filed against her.

“The defendant has been served with hearing notice. The proof of service is in the court’s file,” Pitan said, while making an application for the bench warrant.

Granting the application, Justice Akintoye adjourned further proceedings till February 2.

But on February 2, the court heard that the bench warrant had yet to be effected.

It ordered that the warrant should continue and adjourned till April 1.

South African Football Manager Shot Dead

Siphiwo 'Mawawa' Nyobo, the boss of South African third division club Tornado FC, has been shot dead in his car in East London on the Northern Cape.

Nyobo had been watching a game at North End Stadium when three gunmen opened fire on his car.

He was with passengers, who were taken to hospital after the incident and their current condition has not been disclosed.
