Two Brothers Involved In Terrible Accident In Delta (Photos)

A fatal accident which happened in Delta state has claimed at least one life and left others injured. It was learnt that two brothers were travelling to the village in the eastern part of the country before they were involved in the accident in Agbor area of the state.

According to reports, one of the brothers died at the scene.

The other survived but is said to be in critical condition. Other injured victims were rushed to the hospital.

Ritualists Cut Off Woman's Bre*sts After Murdering Her

A 50-year old woman and indigene of Ikaram-Akoko in Akoko Northwest local government area of Ondo state simply called ‘Iya Dunsi’ who was a palm oil seller has been reportedly murdered. She was killed near her house at Odiolowo, Arigidi-Akoko by suspected ritualists.

Sources said her two bre*sts were clinically removed. 

Her body was dropped about 100 metres to his house, The Nation reports. Scores of passers-by and sympathisers were catching a glimpse of her n*ked corpse, while rope was tied in one of her legs.

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO)for Okeagbe-Akoko, Ibitayo Adetanranmi, a Superintendent of Police (SP) confirmed the incident. He assured that the perpetrators of the heinous crime would be fished out.

The Ikare Area Commander, Razak Rauf, an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) said criminals like ritualists would not be spared under his command.

It would be recalled that three similar cases happened late last year at Ikare-Akoko involving women with their private parts and bre*sts removed.

Another eight-year-old pupils of St. George’s Anglican Primary School Oke-agbe, headquarters of Akoko Northwest was also killed in similar circumstances.

EFCC Releases Ex-NBA Vice-President On Bail, Files Charges Against Him

A former Vice-President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Monday Ubani, has regained his freedom after being detained for 24 days by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

The EFCC detained Ubani along with Senator Christopher Enai, with whom he stood as surety for a former Managing Director of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund, Mrs Ngozi Olejeme, whom the EFCC accused of N6.4bn fraud.

The EFCC on March 19 invited and detained Ubani and Enai because Olojeme allegedly absconded.

The two men, through Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), challenged their detention by the EFCC before the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Apo, Abuja.


In his judgment on March 26, Justice Silvanus Oriji ordered the EFCC to either charge the men to court immediately or release them on bail on or before March 28.

However, many days after the judgment, the EFCC neither released the men on bail nor charged them to court, prompting Ozekhome to commence contempt proceedings against the EFCC acting Chairman, Ibrahim Magu.

The refusal of the EFCC to comply with the court order drew criticisms from various quarters, including the NBA and a human rights lawyer, Mr Femi Falana (SAN).

A senior EFCC official confirmed Ubani’s release on Thursday.

Police Arrests WikiLeaks Founder, Julian Assange

Wikileaks co-founder Julian Assange has been arrested at the Ecuadorian embassy in London.

Mr Assange took refuge in the embassy seven years ago to avoid extradition to Sweden over a sexual assault case that has since been dropped.

The Met Police said he was arrested for failing to surrender to the court and following a US extradition request. Ecuador's president said it withdrew his asylum after repeated violations of international conventions.

But Wikileaks tweeted that Ecuador had acted illegally in terminating Mr Assange's political asylum "in violation of international law".

Home Secretary Sajid Javid tweeted: "I can confirm Julian Assange is now in police custody and rightly facing justice in the UK."

Why Men Die Younger Than Women - WHO

What could add almost four and a half years to your life? Being a woman, according to new data from the World Health Organization, which explores access to and attitudes towards health, as well as how this plays into life expectancy.

More than 141 million children will be born this year, and the boys will live 69.8 years on average, while the girls will clock up 74.2 years – a difference of 4.4 years. Life expectancy at age 60 is also greater for women than men, the data shows.

While the report on uneven access to health is published each year, this is the first time it has been split by gender. And there’s no simple explanation that can inform policy-making, the WHO says, putting the results down to a range of biological differences and gender roles around the world.


“Behind every number in the World Health Statistics is a person, a family, a community or a nation,” says Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General. “Our task is to use these data to make evidence-based policy decisions that move us closer to a healthier, safer, fairer world for everyone.”

Other differences are biological. For example, some genetic differences may lead to better survival rates among female children.

Petrol Station Manager Posts Woman's Used Sex Toy Back To Her In CLEAR Packaging

A petrol station manager said he posted a driver's eight-inch sex toy back to her in CLEAR packaging after she left it at his workplace.

Duncan Edwards, 47, was stunned after a cleaner apparently found the "battered" strap-on next to the vacuum cleaners on Saturday.

Using a pair of diesel gloves, Duncan said he carried the object to his office for safekeeping and discovered an address label on its packaging.

And the father-of-two, who runs the garage in leafy Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, claims he posted the sex toy in shrinkwrap packaging with a note that read "strap on, handle with care!"


Speaking from his home in nearby Stockport, Duncan said: "It was like a real-life Toy Story, albeit with a different kind of Woody.

"It was a whopper and obviously a much-loved member of someone's family.

"It was pretty well battered and the elastic was frayed, it looked like it had been stretched no end and there were marks on the actual equipment, it wasn't nice.

"Part of my thinking was if I send it back like that they might think twice about discarding used equipment - there could have been children about."

But Duncan admitted he and his team had a good giggle at the find initially.

He added: "The cleaner picked it up and he gave the box a shake once he saw what was in it he said to me 'you've got to come and see this'.

"Obviously no-one is going to own up to it but I just couldn't believe that whoever had disposed of it had left their name and address on the box.

"We were absolutely howling and the rest of the staff were too when they found out.

"We've had some bizarre things handed in before such as crutches but never any strap-ons, it was a first for me.

"It was found near the vacuums at 9am on Saturday morning so possibly left overnight. We don't know if they've been cleaning their car out and left it out or attempted to dispose it."

'World's Fattest Boy' Loses Half His Bodyweight Because He Dreams Of Becoming A Footballer

An overweight child dubbed "world's fattest boy" ballooned to a massive 30 STONE when he was just 10 has lost half his bodyweight in a remarkable transformation.

Arya Permana, 12, was inspired to fight the flab by his dreams to become a professional footballer.

The Liverpool FC supporter has been praised by friends and strangers online for shedding more than 15 stone in the past two years.

Arya, from Cipurwasari, Indonesia, hit the headlines when he became so upset by his weight as he was unable to play with his pals.


Footage emerged online of him as a morbidly obese child playing in a water tank to cool his body.

Since then, he has had a gastric bypass operation, followed a strict diet and now takes regular exercise.

Speaking from his home today, the boy said: "Now I am happy, I can walk. I can play as well.

"I have become more agile than before. I like playing football too.

"I can walk 5km with my friends and every afternoon I play football with them.

"My favourite football club is Liverpool FC and my favourite player is [Brazilian] Roberto Firmino. I want to play like him."

Photo: Ogun Police Burst Child-Stealing Syndicate

The Police in Ogun state have arrested three members of child – stealing syndicate; who steal children from unsuspecting parents.

The suspects are Kate Njoku, Joy Okorie  and Onyeka Joseph (male).

Temidayo Ajayi, one of the children recovered from the suspects was abducted with his brother in Sagamu July 2018.

He has since been reunited with his parents while efforts are on to recover his brother from the gang.


Members of the syndicate were found to have succeeded in stealing eight children from different locations across Ogun State and sold them to their prospective buyers in Anambra State.

The syndicate’s mode of operation entails using two of their members to disguise as couple looking for an apartment to rent, most especially in a place where the target children reside.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Ogun state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who made these known in a statement on Wednesday, said the manhunt launched for members of the syndicate led to the arrest of the three.

Abimbola, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), added that the anti-kidnapping/cultist unit who were given the mandate to crack the syndicate, embarked on high technical investigation which paid off when the principal suspect, one Mary Paul was tracked to Ondo State where she is on trial and remanded in prison custody.

According to the Police spokesperson, following a synergy with the Ondo Command, relevant information was extracted, leading to the arrest of three other members of the gang directly involved in stealing of eight children across Ogun State.

“Three out of those children were subsequently recovered from them.

The suspects have all made useful statements to the Police on how they stole the children and sold them to their accomplices in Anambra State.

LA Council To Rename Crenshaw & Slauson Intersection "Nipsey Hussle Square"

The Los Angeles City Council is expected to change the name of a South L.A. intersection on Friday to honor late rapper Nipsey Hussle. Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson said he will officially submit a motion on Friday to rename the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and Slauson Avenue to "Nipsey Hussle Square."

Nipsey Hussle, whose real name is Ermias Asghedom, had a song called "Crenshaw and Slauson (True Story)". A nearly 12-minute documentary-style music video for the song features real people from the Crenshaw neighborhood, where Nipsey Hussle grew up. His store, Marathon Clothing, is also located at this intersection.

The Grammy-nominated rapper was shot, along with two other people, while standing outside of his store.


Fans advocated for the intersection's name change and started a Change.org petition to urge the city council to submit the motion. "Please call or email Councilman Harris-Dawson to let him know you support this effort," wrote the petition's creator, Najee Ali, who said he personally knew Nipsey Hussle. "He wasn't just a rapper. He was a community icon," Ali said.

The petition has nearly reached its goal of 500,000 signatures, and clearly got the councilman's attention.

After Harris-Dawson tweeted his plans to propose the name change, L.A. City Council President Herb Wesson tweeted his approval. "[Nipsy Hussle] created a legacy that will last long after his life on earth. Thanks to the leadership of [Harris-Dawson], Angelenos will remember the impact he made on so many whenever they drive through the intersection of Crenshaw and Slauson," Wesson wrote.

Nipsey Hussle was a local activist who impacted the community and had plans to work with the police department to discuss ways of fighting gang violence. After his death on March 31, the Crenshaw community created memorials for the 33-year-old father across the city.

Google Originated From The ‘Ifa’ – Ooni Of Ife

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, on Wednesday said that the Google originated from the ‘Ifa’ also known as the oracle.

The traditional leader said that without ‘Ifa,’ google would not have been created.

He said this during the press tour of the tourist sites within the ancient city ahead of the Tourism Innovation and Development Innovation Conference (TIDA) slated for April 24.

It is also a West African religion and system of divination.

Mr Ogunwusi said that ‘Ifa’ as a form of divination was all about sourcing for information and knowledge through traditional consultation.

The traditional ruler said that Google could be regarded as the modern way of sourcing for past information and what was likely to happen in the future too.

He said that ‘Ifa’ originated several thousands of years ago and is seen as the voice of the almighty God referred to as “Orisa Oke” which is supreme to other lesser gods.

“Without ‘Ifa’, there could never have been the google, so the google is the modern-day version of ‘Ifa’.

“‘Ifa’ is all about information, getting knowledge from the Almighty God.

“Whenever you search the google for information or knowledge, you are consulting ‘Ifa’; and without ‘Ifa’, there would not have been the google.”

My parents friends would joke “blacky”.. or ask me in Yoruba “ki lo de to se jo okunrin bayi “ ( why do you look so much like a boy). I was told I was short and thick ( it sounds worse in Yoruba).. I was also asked why i looked like my dad. Why wasn’t I light skinned like my mother? So many questions… all somehow directed at making me subconsciously question the way I looked. Over time.. I decided to ignore or compartmentalize those insecurities. I ignored the fact that I was somewhat unrecognizable in photographs or less favored for certain opportunities.


I was never called pretty as much as I can remember. I convinced myself that I was ordinary. Thank God for my sense of humour because I allowed it all dust off my shoulders by joking about it. So as a teenager when a boy said he liked me .. I wouldn’t believe it. Why would he like me when there are others prettier than me? Little did I know that I was far from ordinary. Customs Officer Killed By Bees While On Duty

A senior officer of the Nigeria Customs Service has died after he was attacked by a swarm of bees while on patrol duty.

Abba Abubakar, an officer operating at the Seme customs command, along Ashipa axis of Badagry, Lagos, met his untimely death Tuesday after he was stung by the bees, the agency said in a statement.

“With sadness and deep sorrow, the Seme Area Command announces the death of our colleague CSC Abba, A.,” Saidu Abdullahi, the spokesperson of the Seme customs command, said in the statement on Wednesday.

“The sad event occurred yesterday due to an attack by a swarm of bees around Ashipa axis, Lagos- Badagry Express way.

“We pray that Allah (SWT) shower His mercy and grant him the highest level of Jannah, and give his family the patience and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Aameen.”

Mr Abdullahi described the deceased as an astute officer who discharged his duties diligently.

“He has never failed to report at his duty post daily. We regret to lose such a gallant officers,” Mr Abdullahi said.

The Yobe State-born officer was survived by his wife and children.

Katsina Governor Cries Out: Armed Bandits Have Taken Over Parts Of Our State

Governor Aminu Masari while speaking with the acting Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu, told him that bandits have taken over some parts of the state he governs - Katsina.

The Governor who said his government has met with the eight front-line local government chairmen to keep them abreast and will do whatever possible to see to the final onslaught on the bandits and kidnappers in the state, said the IGP was coming in a period of anxiety and apprehension.

According to him, Katsina has supported and will continue to support the ongoing ‘Operation Puff Adder’ with funds, logistics and accommodation. He announced a donation of 12 vans to the police.

The state's deputy Governor Mannir Yakubu, who spoke on behalf of Governor Masari, said the bandits have taken parts of Katsina in meeting and also strike and destroy properties at will.

“These bandits strike at will, maim at will, destroy lives and property at will" he said. “In other parts of the state, we also have kidnappers who not only take people on the road but in the comfort of their homes,” he added, citing the “unfortunate incidence of the governor’s in-law who was taken in the comfort of her home.”
