Nigerian popstar, Davido has been dragged before Igbosere Magistrate Court 2, Lagos State for fraudulently receiving the sum of N4m from an American based Nigerian born upcoming artist Andre - Tejiri Ochuko Ibhihwiori and his label, Always on Cash Records.
According to court documents, the popstar and his personal assistant collected the sum as fee to feature in a musical collabo with the artiste in January, 2019 but that didn’t happen.
The matter came up for mentioning on the 23rd of May, 2019. Listed as Defendants in the suit marked MCL/702/19 are: David Adedeji Adeleke (Davido), his Personal Assistant: Busari Idris Temitiope (Alias Aloma) and; Davido Music Worldwide Limited music label.
When the matter was called, none of the Defendants, including Davido was in Court, neither did any lawyer represent them. The matter has now been adjourned to the ”23rd of august 2019” for report of service and commencement of trial.
Wife of Nigeria’s President, Aisha Buhari has warned the Inspector General of Police against intimidating Busola Dakolo and her husband, Timi over the rape allegation against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, COZA.
On Saturday, the police summoned singer, Timi Dakolo and his wife, Busola over alleged falsehood, mischief and threat to life and criminal conspiracy,
Reacting to this on her Twitter account, Aisha called the attention of the Inspector General of Police to a story from Sahara Reporters titled: Policemen storm Busola Dakolo’s residence.
And on top she left no doubt where she stands with the array of hashtags :

Singer and songwriter, Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, popularly known as Peruzzi, has said that he found it hard to believe his distant cousin, Chioma, when she said she was dating popular entertainer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido.
Peruzzi told Saturday Punch that around the time when Chioma told him about her relationship with Davido, he noticed that the ‘Assurance’ crooner was always showing love and support towards his songs and brand on his social media platform.
He said, “After my mother’s burial; I was going home and someone sent me a message on Twitter, commending my song.
The person asked if I remembered her. After she explained who she was, I remembered her. She told me Davido sent my song to her. I didn’t believe it. She further told me that they were dating and she is like my distant cousin, so I didn’t even see it coming.
“I felt like how can she be dating Davido and I wouldn’t know since. She was able to convince me after she sent me some pictures; she told me he was going to be around the next day. She invited me to his welcome party and I went there around 2 am at Club 57.
“Once Davido entered with his entourage, I was scared. He was facing me, but I didn’t know what to do. I moved to see him carefully. He looked at me and called my name. I was happy and I held him. He told me he loved my songs and that I should come to his house. That was the best night of my life. I sent Chioma a text; that I was with him.
“I couldn’t sleep that night because I was too excited. She (Chioma) is my mother’s cousin’s daughter. But she is my cousin; that is how we refer to each other. I don’t have a proper contract with Davido; he is my guy so I am not worried about that. Some people have lived with him for years without any contract.”
Three storey building, Saturday, collapsed at Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State killing four persons and left several others with various degrees of injuries.
A dependable source revealed that several others were trapped in the collapsed 3-storey building which was under construction and meant to be used as a hotel.

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has vowed to respond fiercely to the killing of 37 innocent people by bandits in Goronyo Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

In a statement by Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, in Abuja on Saturday, the president commiserated with the victims of the unfortunate attacks, the government and people of Sokoto state.
“This frequent and large scale killings of poor villagers by gangs of mass murderers must be met with the fiercest force the government can mobilise,” Shehu quoted the president as saying.
The presidential spokesman announced that troops had been deployed to the affected areas and aerial security measures put in place.
Against all odds, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Vice Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi has urged Nigerians to keep hope alive as the party’s candidate Atiku Abubakar will reclaim its mandate through the election tribunal.

A Jewish man who suffered a painful botched circumcision as a baby has admitted the lifelong trauma it's caused him has led to him contemplating suicide.
The man who lives in the UK, but isn't named, told his story to journalist Adnan Sarwar, who was also circumcised as an infant, in a shocking new BBC documentary - A Cut Too Far? Male Circumcision.
Adnan admitted that he didn't have any problem with it, but said the exchange with the man completely changed his view on the matter.
Thousands of young boys are circumcised when they are just a few days old every year in the UK but it doesn't always go smoothly. The documentary, which aired thursday night, looked into the fates of those who feel bereft as a result of the operation.
The anonymous man said: 'No one should do anything to someone else's body without their consent, full stop. Religious or not religious.'
Viewers mainly agreed circumcision equated to genital mutilation, and felt the practice was 'barbaric'.
Taking to Twitter many disagreed with the practice: 'That's the normal way ethical medicine works. First do no harm. (unless it's a baby boy),' one commented.
'Don't agree with it at all unless for medical reasons. What the hell gives you the right to make such a decision about your child's body without them consenting,' one viewer wrote.

A woman who was shocked to discover her husband's grandmother's bathroom was fully carpeted has questioned whether it's hygienic or practical for a room where people wash.
Posting under the handle 'u/citadelinn', the woman, believed to be from the US, shared a photo of the incriminating room on Reddit.
She captioned the post: 'At grandma's for the weekend. Her bathrooms are carpeted.'
A number of responses to the thread questioned the practicality and sanitariness of having carpet in a room that's often filled with moisture.
'I for one would not go in there without shoes on,' one read.
Several users told how they had seen carpets in older homes or those who belonged to elderly people.

A man kisses a crocodile for a boat trip of tourists in Costa Rica. Juan Cerdas said it is one of his “hobbies” to feed and kiss the creatures for tourists on the ‘crocodile river tour’ that sails the Tarcoles River.
The river, in the province of Puntarenas, has one of the highest crocodile populations in the world.
Many of them are American crocodiles, who are typically found in Florida and are one of the only species that can walk on four legs.
They can grow up to 17 feet long and weigh hundreds of pounds. But Juan said they are “not as aggressive as they would have us believe”.
The river has become a huge tourist attraction in recent years.
Tourists flock there to visit a bridge over the Tárcoles River which has become known as “puente de cocodrilo,” or “crocodile bridge.”

US rapper Tay-K has been found guilty of murder and aggravated robbery. The 19-year-old, real name Taymor McIntyre, was accused of participating in a home invasion and robbery in Mansfield, Texas, in July 2016, when he was 16.
21-year-old Ethan Walker was killed during the robbery. His mother Roberta Walker testified that she and her husband adopted Ethan when he was seven-years-old.
She recalled to the court how a police captain and chaplain knocked on her door early one morning. "I knew it wasn't good," she said.
In March 2017 Tay-K became the focus of a nationwide manhunt after he cut off his ankle monitor when a judge placed him in home confinement following the botched robbery.
The rapper is best known for hit song The Race - a track about being on the run from the law - which was said to have been recorded and had a video shot while he was on the run in real life.
The video, which shows him waving a gun in front of his own wanted poster, has now been viewed 173 million times on YouTube.
He released the single on June 30 the night he was apprehended in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
In August a picture was posted on the rapper's Instagram - which is followed by 1.4million users - appearing to show him laying on the floor of a jail cell alongside the caption: "Live from the Gates of Hell."
According to NBC, Tay-K was found not guilty of capital murder "which would have carried a mandatory 40-year sentence.”

Marvel mum Kayla Glines has multiple reasons to be happy as the world’s first triplet to give birth to quads.
Against mind-boggling odds, 32-year-old Kayla gave birth to Reese, Jameson, Oaklee and Lincoln.
A cracking picture shows the tots snuggled up together... not unlike an old family album snap of Kayla as a baby alongside her triplet brother and sister.
Her amazing story covers more than a decade of hope, patience, despair and finally unbridled joy as her wish for a family with hubby Allen came true.
Two years ago she fell pregnant with triplets after fertility treatment.
Two of the tots survived but one died in the womb.
So when she conceived again – this time naturally – Kayla was staggered to discover she was due to have four more children.
She said: “We just couldn’t believe it when I went for a scan and the doctor told me that I was pregnant with quads.
“We had been trying for so many years to fall pregnant naturally and to discover I was going to have four babies, especially when I’m a triplet myself, was just unbelievable.
“We were very nervous as we knew how risky a quad pregnancy can be, but luckily all the babies were born safely.”
Kayla and social worker Allen, who live in Salt Lake City, Utah, had already adopted her brother’s two daughters, now eight and six, before they started fertility treatment in 2016.
Two of the triplets were born safely in August 2017 and the quads arrived in March this year.
So the couple now have six children under the age of two – and eight in total.
Kayla added: “Sometimes Allen and I can’t believe what has happened to us. We spent 10 years trying for a family and now we have a massive family of eight children and us!”

President Donald Trump on Saturday advocated for A$AP Rocky's release from Swedish custody in a call with Prime Minister Stefan Löfven, saying he "personally" vouched for the New York rapper.
"Just had a very good call with @SwedishPM Stefan Löfven who assured me that American citizen A$AP Rocky will be treated fairly. Likewise, I assured him that A$AP was not a flight risk and offered to personally vouch for his bail, or an alternative," Trump wrote.
"Our teams will be talking further, and we agreed to speak again in the next 48 hours!" Trump continued.
A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, was arrested after voluntarily going to the police in Stockholm for questioning following an altercation three weeks ago during a music festival.
The State Department is aware of the arrest. A spokesperson said they "hope to see ASAP Rocky and his colleagues back on tour and reunited with friends and family soon.”
