Congratulations are in order for actor Idris Elba and his beautiful new bride Sabrina. The couple is expecting their first child together, MTO News has confirmed.
Sabrina stepped out last night at the world premiere of the new movie 'Cats' in NYC's Lincoln Center. And Idris' beautiful new bride was beaming and proudly sporting a baby bump.
Sabrina Dhowre Elba, who is a model and beauty pageant winner, tied the knot with Idris in April 2019 in Morocco, after getting engaged in February 2018.
The two exchanged vows at the Ksar Char Bagh hotel in Marrakesh, a small luxury hotel with extensive gardens in the palm grove of Marrakesh.
Jussie Smollett may be returning to Empire as bosses have revealed they are considering bringing the actor back during the show's sixth and final season.
The actor, 37, was axed from the drama in season five after he claimed to have been attacked by two men who hurled racist and homophobic abuse at him and was then accused of fabricating the accusation and charged with making a false police report.
Empire showrunner Brett Mahoney told TVLine that discussions are underway to possibly have Jussie return as it would be 'weird' to end the show without him.
He said: 'It would be weird in my mind to end this family show and this family drama of which he was such a significant part of without seeing him.
'It’s fair to say it’s being discussed, but there’s no plan as of yet to bring him back. There’s been no decision made.'
Bosses considering a potential comeback for the actor is a change from when Empire creator Lee Daniels insisted last June that Jussie would never return to the programme.

Kim Kardashian has spoken out about the current status of Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott during an enlightening appearance on The Ellen Show.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was ready to spill the beans on her family but closed down one aspect of the Kylie's relationship with Travis.
The pair split a few months ago but seem to have remained close, with their daughter Stormi Webster being the anchor for them both as they look to move forward.
The 39-year-old reality star was keen to clear up how serious the Kylie/Travis relationship was and dismissed talk that the pair had 'secretly engaged'.
Speaking to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, Kim revealed they were "definitely they’re not engaged," after being asked about a big ring that Kylie had been seen wearing.
Ellen was keen to find out if there was any romance left in Travis and Kylie but Kim seemed to suggest that 'just good friends' will be as far as it goes... for now.
When asked if the 22-year-old billionaire make-up mogul was back with her rapper ex, Kim said: "I don’t know.
"Isn’t that what I always say when I come here?”
Ellen then asked about the diamond ring that Kylie had taken to wearing recently.
Kim replied to this: "I honestly don’t know. But I think that they are just really close friends and co-parenting amazingly."
Kim then continued: “The big ring… definitely they’re not engaged and I think she’s wearing it on a different finger.
"I do know that she… I think she bought that herself because she was showing us.”
Speaking about Kylie's current relationship status, Kim tried to be coy by saying: “I don’t know the status if they’re together or not. I don’t think they are.”
A 24-year-old woman from Kiembeni in Mombasa is receiving treatment at the Coast Provincial General Hospital after she was allegedly scalded with a mixture of hot water and cooking oil by her estranged husband.
Winnie Wambua claims that on December 13, her middle-aged partner, Henry Mugonda, whom she had separated with for nearly one year, confronted her at her hair salon in Kiembeni, Kisauni Sub-County, and demanded she lets him back in her life.
Wambua told K24 Digital that Mugonda, a Tanzanian national, had — in the past two months – been unsuccessfully attempting to win her back.
“On December 13, he came to my workplace and asked if I could reunite with him. Just like before, I said ‘no’ to his request. He got angry, and told me: ‘I will ensure I inflict on you the same pain that I am feeling for losing you’. He, thereafter, walked out of the salon and went to a nearby building, where I had seen him store a kitchen stove. I did not know why he had carried a cooking appliance with him,” said Wambua.
“After 30 minutes, he came back to the hair salon carrying a jug that contained a mixture of hot water and cooking oil, and scalded me with the liquid,” said Wambua, who added: “Based on his actions, he had pre-planned the whole attack.”
Wambua sustained burn injuries to her face, shoulder and chest.
She claims that after committing the offence, her estranged spouse took off on a waiting bodaboda.
Police have tracked down the suspect to the Kenya-Tanzania border in Horohoro, which is located in Kenya’s South Coast.
Authorities believe that Mugonda is attempting to flee into his native country.
On her sickbed, Wambua urged law enforcement officers to ensure they arrest and arraign Mugonda, whom she shares a son with.
The Supreme Court has affirmed the election of Seyi Makinde as governor of Oyo State.
In a unanimous judgment, the Apex Court found merit in the appeal filed by Mr Makinde that the majority judgment of the Appeal Court was a miscarriage of justice.

The judgment applies to the remaining three appeals emanating from the election.

A young girl who was abducted and repeatedly raped in a horrific five hour ordeal has confronted her attacker in court.
Brett David Hill, 49, from New South Wales, Australia, terrified the child with a pair a scissors after bundling her into his car at around 9.15am on June 12 last year.
He abused the then 11-year-old at three different locations before dumping her at a railway station in Newcastle, Australia.
Hill was caught four days later after a huge manhunt - and pleaded guilty to nine charges in October.
He has since been sentenced to a maximum of 23 years and six months.
The brave victim, now 13, told the court she might look normal on the outside but there is a "massive invisible scar written across my face".
Courageously, she took to the witness box with her mum and their family dog as she told Hill it was important for him to hear how he'd changed her life.
"I hate who I am today," the girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told Hill. "I am scared somebody is going to take me and do it all over again.
"My world is not safe. I can never forgive you."
She spoke about how she used to be carefree and walked around with a smile on her face, scared of nothing.
But now she's too scared to walk her dog, she said.
The girl told Hill about the constant flashbacks she suffers, having to live her every day life in the body he abused.
Hill told the court today he had taken synthetic cannabis which can 'make you go crazy'.
He told the girl: "I'm so sorry. I never set out in this day to be a horrible person. I did something I thought I'd never do. I hope one day you can move on from this."
Newcastle Superintendent Brett Greentree previously told the Newcastle Herald: "This is a crime that has sent shivers down the spine of every Novocastrian."
Detective Superintendent John Kerlatec added that identification of the suspect's vehicle was a key tip that led to his arrest.
Petrol and diesel vehicles will be banned from a street in central London in an innovative attempt to reduce pollution, officials have said.
Officials said Beech Street, which runs underneath the Brutalist designed Barbican Estate, would become Britain’s first “24-7 zero-emission street”.
During an 18-month trial starting next year, the area will be restricted to electric or hybrid vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists, the City of London Corporation announced on Monday.
However, access will be given for refuse collection and deliveries, for those using car parks off the street and emergency vehicles.
“Drastically reducing air pollution requires radical actions, and these plans will help us eliminate toxic air on our streets,” said the chairman of the corporation’s environment committee, Jeremy Simon.
Officials said they expected a reduction of 90 to 95 percent in traffic on Beech Street, and an improvement in air quality around the immediate area, which includes two schools.
“The scheme aims to bring nitrogen dioxide (NO2) levels within air quality guidelines set out by the European Union and World Health Organisation,” a corporation statement said.
The trial is separate from the ultra-low emission zone (Ulez) introduced across the centre of London earlier this year, for which motorists in older, more polluting vehicles must pay a charge to enter.
The President of the Students’ Union Government of the Plateau State University, Mr Ezekiel Luka, on Tuesday, confirmed that the school was attacked by gunmen.
The SUG president said one of the institution’s female students was raped and valuables including money and phones were carted away by the gunmen.
“What happened was that there was a rehearsal for a play production by some 200 level and 400 level students of the Theatre Arts Department at the Open Air Theatre.
“While the rehearsal was going on, the gunmen stormed the place around 10 pm on Monday and attacked the students. In the process, one female student was raped while others sustained injury, he told Punch.
“Several others had their belongings including phones and money forcefully taken away before the gunmen escaped.
“This is not the first time students would be attacked in the university by gunmen and there is the need for those concerned to secure the lives of students to avoid further occurrence”
The SUG President stated that the raped victim had been rushed to the hospital for medical attention, adding that the matter had been reported to the school authorities.
The university is located in Bokkos Local Government Area of the state.
Jason Derulo has opened up about his role in the new movie version of Cats and said that his appearance has been doctored.
The 30-year-old musician has caused a stir recently with a revealing photo of himself on Instagram , which was removed due to the pic of him in tight swimwear showing more than the sites rules allowed.
Now he has claimed that his appearance in the new film has been 'airbrushed' as they donned a tight-fitting costume which would have been too revealing if left 'in its natural state'.
Appearing on the SiriusXM radio show with Andy Cohen, Derulo found himself talking about the size of his genitalia as the Cats release date of December 26 draws nearer.
Cohen said to Derulo: "You're in tights in Cats it makes me think they..."
The singer jumped in to finish the sentence: "CGI'd the d*** out? Yeah, they did CGI [the pen!s out]. I noticed that."
After a moment of laughter, Cohen clarified: "You think that they airbrushed your pen!s out of the Cats film?
Jason replied: "125%... I see it in the trailer."
Hopefully no girl will come out soon to debunk his anaconda claims.
Kourtney Kardashian has raised eyebrows with her surprise gift for Caitlyn Jenner's partner Sophia Hutchins.
The 40-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star sent a hamper from her lifestyle brand, Poosh, but it was enough to bring some blushes with its contents.
The hamper to Caitlyn's 23-year-old partner seemed to contain a vibrator but Sophia seemed to be pleased with its arrival.
After Caitlyn spent nearly a month in Australia as one of the campmates in ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, Sophia was pleased to have her back home but she seemed equally as happy with her early Chrismas present.
Posting a pic on her Instagram story, Sophia shared the gift of a silicone Unity Vibe sex toy, which she captioned with "@poosh" along with some heart-eye emojis.
Sophia was not the only member of the extended Kardashian-Jenner family to received the cheeky Christmas pressie, as Kourtney seemed to gift a hamper to all her sisters.
No fewer than 44,000 people are living with HIV/AIDS across the 13 local government areas and 18 development areas in Nasarawa State, the Director General of the National Agency for the Control of AIDS, Dr. Gambo Gumel Aliyu, has said.
Out of this number, about 22,000 of them are at large throughout the state -- that is to say, they are not on treatment, he added.
Aliyu spoke on Monday while inaugurating the North Central Zonal Office of NACA in Lafia, Nasarawa State capital.
The NACA DG said, “About 44,000 people are living with the HIV/AIDS in Nasarawa State, out of which about 22,000 are at large.
“These 22,000 people living with HIV/AIDS in the state, who are at large, are the ones that we are looking for.”
He, however, stated that NACA has done very well in the last 15 years by reducing the burden of HIV/AIDS prevalence to 1.4 per cent from 4.4 per cent in the country.
Aliyu continued: “In the last 15 years, we were talking of 3.5 million people living with the epidemic in Nigeria. But today, we are talking of about 1.9m people with the disease, or less, across the country.”
“NACA is in Nasarawa State to push the fight against HIV/AIDS to the last mile.
“That is to say, everyone is being tested to know their status so that those that are HIV/AIDS positive are treated, while those who test negative remain negative for the rest of their lives.”
The Lagos State Government on Tuesday began the sales of its popular brand of rice, LAKE Rice, in preparation for the coming Christmas celebration with the formal flagged off of the exercise by the State Commissioner for Agriculture, Prince Gbolahan Lawal.
The new price for a bag of LAKE Rice is now N17,000, up by N3,000 from the N14,000 it sold during Easter period.

Lawal noted that the Lake Rice were available for sales at its sales centres across the State at the Agricultural Development Authority Complex, Oko-Oba; Lagos State Agriculture Inputs Supply Authority (LAISA), Ojo and the Blue Roof at LTV Complex, Agidingbi, Ikeja.

He disclosed that the price of a 50Kg bag of the LAKE Rice is N17,000, while 25kg bag is N8,500 warning that the Lake Rice should not be sold above the approved prices.
