Govt nabs fake doctor who worked in state hospital for 11years

The Kaduna State Government said, it has nabbed a suspected fake Medical Doctor, Saidu Ahmed Ya’u, who has been in the employment of the state for 11 years.

The State Ministry of Justice has charged Ya’u before the Chief Magistrate court for certificate forgery and impersonation.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Justice, which was signed by the Attorney General of Kaduna State, Aisha Dikko, said that the accused has been remanded at the Kaduna Correctional Facility until March 16.

The statement further said that the First Information Report (FIR) indicated that Saidu has been working as a medical doctor for more than 11 years as a staff of the Ministry of Health.

According to the Attorney General, Governor Nasir El Rufai had ordered the Ministry of Health to investigate Saidu, following a petition alleging that the accused has been working with fake certificates.

The Ministry of Health set up a four-member committee to investigate and verify the certificates and institutions that Saidu claimed to have attended as well as verify his registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria(MDCN).

The statement stated that the committee found out that the accused forged the certificates, which he presented to the government to enable him secure employment with Kaduna State Ministry of Health.

Diamond Princess passenger dies of coronavirus

British couple David and Sally Abel, from Northamptonshire, are struggling with mental health in a Japanese hospital after cruel online trolls accuse them of 'milking it'.

The pair who were on the cruise for their 50th wedding anniversary, have both been diagnosed with pneumonia before being moved to a hospital.

It comes as a Japanese man in his 80s from the coronavirus-infected Diamond Princess has died, bringing the death total from the cruise ship to three.

The health ministry confirmed the death on its website, days after an elderly couple also died.

The government is facing growing questions about whether it is doing enough to stop the spread of the virus, which originated in China and has killed more than 2,400 there. Tokyo is preparing to host the 2020 Summer Olympics in July.

Health Minister Katsunobu Kato said he would hold a meeting of experts on Monday and formulate a basic policy for addressing the disease on Tuesday.

Kato apologised on Saturday for allowing an infected woman to leave the Diamond Princess, which has been quarantined in Yokohama since Feb. 3.

The woman came ashore on Wednesday but then tested positive for the disease on Saturday in Tochigi Prefecture, north of Tokyo.

Kato said on Saturday that officials had failed to properly test 23 people who disembarked the ship, and his ministry was trying to contact them to be retested.

The ship is owned by Carnival Corp and was originally carrying some 3,700 passengers and crew representing more than a dozen nationalities.

Some nations have flown their citizens home to undergo additional quarantines. Japanese authorities have allowed some other passengers to leave, prompting concerns they could be spreading the virus in Japan.

There have been 634 infections on the ship, according to national broadcaster NHK. Those cases represent the largest concentration of the illness outside China.

Banker's wife impregnated by her children's lesson teacher... husband kicks

Felicia Adikwu, a Jukun by tribe, is right now in a dilemma. She is pregnant for her children’s extramural studies teacher, popularly called “lesson teacher” in Nigeria and, she doesn’t know what to do about it. She is full of regret for her ill-advised action that is now threatening to tear her marriage apart.

The young woman who holds a diploma in Public Administration from the state polytechnic, got married to Mr. Joseph Adikwu, a holder of HND in Accounting from the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa. He used to work with a bank in Lafia where they both live before he was transferred, sometime last year, to the bank’s branch in Gombe State. Their nine-year-old marriage is blessed with two kids, aged 7 and 5.

From transfer to trouble

But trouble started when sometimes in July 2019, Joseph resumed duty in Gombe but left his family behind. Before he left Lafia for his new posting, he and Felicia, his wife had employed the services of an extramural teacher, one Monday Ugo, to teach their kids extra lessons in their commitment, to give them the best of education. And things appeared to be going on smoothly, as planned until Joseph left for Gombe.

Somewhere along the line, Monday allegedly changed the period of the lesson from 5:30 pm to 4 pm. This became imperative because the children, it was said, usually had one-hour church activities from 4 pm to 5 pm. While they are away, Monday and Felicia would allegedly use the period to engage in sex romps.

The first sexual encounter they had was said to be so mind-blowing that it left the woman panting for more. But right now, she is said to be four-months pregnant for Monday. And, her husband who has learnt about it, in fact, who literally forced the information out of her through the threat of divorce, is seriously angry over the ugly development. Narrating his ordeal, recently, to a close friend who happened to be a police officer, Joseph, who is in Lafia on annual leave, explained how shocked he was to meet his wife in such condition.

Mr. Adikwu’s lamentation

He could not remember impregnating her within the period nor, discussing with her any issue related to pregnancy all the time he was in Gombe, he said. Pleading for understanding and forgiveness, Felicia said that her husband’s absence made her succumb to sexual advances from the teacher. But her husband has vowed not to forgive her over what he sees as a blatant act of betrayal.

Expressing his disappointement over the ugly development, Joseph said: “I came back on leave only to find my wife pregnant for my children’s lesson teacher. This has torn my world apart, completely. Words cannot describe my agony, my own wife confessing before me that she is four-month pregnant for a jobless lesson teacher?” he lamented with a tinge of bitterness in his voice.

Then he adds: “It is the cruelest betrayal in my entire life. My wife is a big disappointment and I don’t think I will forgive her. I felt utterly duped and cheated when she opened her mouth and told me that my absence made her seek sexual satisfaction and it resulted in this. It is an embarrassment to me and to think that this happened just after few months of my absence! You mean, my wife could not endure and decided to find another man just for sexual satisfaction? I hate myself.”

Felicia explains how she became entangled in the love affair

But while Felicia remains remorseful over the issue, she insists that it is not as straightjacketed as her husband is trying to make it looks. In fact, the woman who, at the moment, is taking refuge in her husband’s close friend’s house for fear of the unknown puts the whole blame on Joseph who she alleged was in the habit of starving her of sex.

Her story: “My husband was in the habit of coming up with excuses on why he could not have sex with me before he left for Gombe. He and I had not had intercourse for quite some time before he was transferred. Anytime I confronted him on this, he would tell me that he was too busy in the office or tired from work to have sex. Anytime we discussed our sex life, he would find an excuse to give on why it cannot be then but next weekend or after he was through with a particular project he was handling. But those deadlines would come and go without him fulfilling his promise or commenting on why he did not. Things continued this way until he left for Gombe.

“Before he left, I stopped trying to initiate sex with him because the constant rejection was also affecting my psyche or self-image. Other than sex, my husband and I are on the same page on almost every aspect of our lives, and we truly enjoy each other’s company. I love him so much. He is my best friend as well as my lover. I made a mistake. I feel so guilty. I’m deeply sorry for all that happened. I did not mean to do this and I am ready to abort it. I was even planning to do so before his coming but a close friend advised me to convince him that he is responsible. It was while I was trying to give the idea a thought that I delayed the abortion. Then my husband came back to discover it.”

On how she became entagled in the love tango with their children’s “lesson teacher,” she said: “I saw myself falling in love with him out of my desire for sex. I needed to admit this because by so doing, who knows, the Lord can touch my husband’s heart to forgive me.

It was actually the devil’s work and I completely accept my fault but my husband shouldn’t have gone public with the matter. I’m ashamed of myself. The incident came to light after the pregnancy started coming out and my husband raised a lot of questions as to who is responsible as both of us had not had sex for some time now. I didn’t know how it happened.

All I can say is that the young guy who is my children’s lesson teacher suddenly found his way into my room at the wee hours and I was speechless. I can’t believe I have done this to my husband. This is one thing I said I would never do. I never thought I would cheat. I love my husband so much and I don’t know what to do. Please, help me plead with him to forgive me.”

Lesson teacher’s confession

Monday, a graduate of Physics from Nasarawa State University, Keffi, who is now on the run for fear of his dear life, debunked the claim by Felicia about suddenly finding him in their bedroom and not knowing what to do except to agree to sleep with him. He told Saturday Sun correspondent, on the phone that he noticed a look of admiration in Felicia’s eyes that showed that she was interested in having sex with him. And, this is what he exploited when the opportunity came calling.

His words: “I noticed that she started admiring me the moment I began to teach her children. I noticed her interest in me when she started calling me regularly on the phone to ask me not to eat before coming to her house for the lesson teaching as she had prepared food for me. She actually lured me into having sex with her after convincing me that her husband had stopped sleeping with her for quite some time before leaving for Gombe.

She assured me that nobody would know about it. It is unfortunate that she became pregnant. But when she told me about it, we all agreed that she should abort it but her close friend who connected me to teach her children kept advising her to convince her husband into accepting responsibility for the pregnancy. I know that I have wronged the man. I don’t know how to face him. He has been paying my allowance for teaching his children without delay. I betrayed his trust and, I pray that God will forgive me.”

Iran shuts schools, cultural centres as coronavirus kills six

A sixth death from the coronavirus has been reported in Iran as authorities in more than a dozen affected provinces ordered the closure of schools, universities and cultural centres in a bid to contain the outbreak.

Ali Aghazadeh, governor of the Markazi province, said late on Saturday that tests of a patient who recently died in the central city of Arak were positive for the virus.

The person was also suffering from a heart problem, he told the official IRNA news agency.

So far, 28 cases have been confirmed in Iran, but it was not immediately clear if the sixth fatality was among those cases. All of those who lost their lives are believed to be Iranian citizens, and the deaths in Iran account for the most in any country outside China.

Gospel singer, Gloria Doyle allegedly loses husband, children to her blood sister

Oh dear! Gospel singer Gloria Doyle has said she has lost her husband and children to her own blood sister.
She made the revelation known in an interview with The Nation, saying her sister fled with her man and children to the States.

She said all attempts for her to visit the US has proved abortive as her name was removed and that of her sister was fraudulently replaced with it. She however didn't mention if their parents are still alive and what steps her family members are taking towards this. But she spoke about gaining her children back, and says that looks good now. Hear her;

''Their father is an American citizen though he is a Nigerian by birth. He said he wanted the children to come over; I too thought it would be a better opportunity for them.

''So, I allowed them to go. It is not that I couldn’t have gone, but at that point, what happened was that he was actually having an affair with my younger sister, who is at present living in America through him. And when the children were going to America, the documents were altered.

''My name was removed, while my younger sister’s name replaced mine. So, when it was time for me to go to the US, I was denied visa. I have been denied visa three times now. It has got to a point where a DNA test is required to prove that I am the children’s mother and that is the point where it is. So, it’s only when my children come here that I can think of going to America. It has made my travelling out of the country very difficult.

''And that was the original plan, which was to frustrate me and make me unable to see my children again. But with God, things are looking good.''

The Queen doesn't own the word 'Royal', say Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have posted an extraordinary statement on their website claiming that the Queen does not own the word royal across the world after they were forced to drop their 'Sussex Royal' brand.

Harry and Meghan put a new statement on their own website hours after announcing they would stop using the word 'royal' in their branding after the Spring.

The statement said that while neither the government nor the Queen herself own the word 'royal' internationally, they would stop using the title.

The statement read: 'While there is not any jurisdiction by The Monarchy or Cabinet Office over the use of the word "Royal" overseas, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not intend to use "Sussex Royal" or any iteration of the word "Royal" in any territory (either within the UK or otherwise) when the transition occurs Spring 2020.'

They also appeared to complain that the palace is treating them differently to other family members.

The statement continued: 'While there is precedent for other titled members of the Royal Family to seek employment outside of the institution, for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, a 12-month review period has been put in place.

'Per the agreement The Duke and Duchess of Sussex understand that they are required to step back from Royal duties and not undertake representative duties on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen.'

A spokesman for the couple first issued a statement to the media about their use of royal titles shortly after 7.30pm on Friday but around 10pm they shared a much longer statement on their website via their Instagram story.

The much-longer statement included the reference to the treatment of other royals, the fact that Harry is still sixth in line for the throne and that they are still entitled to public protection.

They said they 'require effective security to protect them and their son' amid controversy surrounding the estimated £3million - £6million protection bill that would be split between taxpayers in Canada and the UK.

Many sections of the later statement released on their website appear hostile in tone, especially when compared to the earlier statement which was released through a spokesman for the couple.

Many royal experts believe the episode is another PR disaster for the couple.

Harry and Meghan's statement on their website in full

A few hours later, the Duke and Duchess shared a link on their Instagram story to this much-longer statement on their website.

It is agreed that the commencement of the revised role of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will take effect Spring 2020 and undergo a 12 month review.

The Royal Family respect and understand the wish of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex to live a more independent life as a family, by removing the supposed ‘public interest’ justification for media intrusion into their lives. They remain a valued part of Her Majesty’s family.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will become privately funded members of The Royal Family with permission to earn their own income and the ability to pursue their own private charitable interests.

The preference of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex was to continue to represent and support Her Majesty The Queen albeit in a more limited capacity, while not drawing on the Sovereign Grant.

While there is precedent for other titled members of the Royal Family to seek employment outside of the institution, for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, a 12-month review period has been put in place.

Per the agreement The Duke and Duchess of Sussex understand that they are required to step back from Royal duties and not undertake representative duties on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen.

As agreed and set out in January, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will retain their “HRH” prefix, thereby formally remaining known as His Royal Highness The Duke of Sussex and Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will no longer actively use their HRH titles as they will no longer be working members of the family as of Spring 2020.

As the grandson of Her Majesty and second son of The Prince of Wales, Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex remains sixth in line to the throne of The British Monarchy and the Order of Precedence is unchanged.

It was agreed that The Duke and Duchess will no longer be able to formally carry out ‘official duties’ for The Queen or represent The Commonwealth, but they will, however, be allowed to maintain their patronages (including those that are classified as ‘royal’ patronages).

It is agreed that The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will continue to require effective security to protect them and their son. This is based on The Duke’s public profile by virtue of being born into The Royal Family, his military service, the Duchess’ own independent profile, and the shared threat and risk level documented specifically over the last few years. No further details can be shared as this is classified information for safety reasons.

In relation to the military, The Duke of Sussex will retain the rank of Major, and honorary ranks of Lieutenant Commander, and Squadron Leader. During this 12-month period of review, The Duke’s official military appointments will not be used as they are in the gift of the Sovereign. No new appointments will be made to fill these roles before the 12-month review of the new arrangements is completed.

While per the agreement, The Duke will not perform any official duties associated with these roles, given his dedication to the military community and ten years of service he will of course continue his unwavering support to the military community in a non-official capacity. As founder of the Invictus Games, The Duke will proudly continue supporting the military community around the world through the Invictus Games Foundation and The Endeavour Fund.

Based on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s desire to have a reduced role as members of The Royal Family, it was decided in January that their Institutional Office would have to be closed, given the primary funding mechanism for this official office at Buckingham Palace is from HRH The Prince of Wales. The Duke and Duchess shared this news with their team personally in January once they knew of the decision, and have worked closely with their staff to ensure a smooth transition for each of them.

Over the last month and a half, The Duke and Duchess have remained actively involved in this process, which has understandably been saddening for The Duke and Duchess and their loyal staff, given the closeness of Their Royal Highnesses and their dedicated team.

As The Duke and Duchess will no longer be considered full-time working Members of The Royal Family, it was agreed that use of the word ‘Royal’ would need to be reviewed as it pertains to organisations associated with them in this new regard. More details on this below.

As shared in early January on this website, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not plan to start a ‘foundation’, but rather intend to develop a new way to effect change and complement the efforts made by so many excellent foundations globally.

The creation of this non-profit entity will be in addition to their cause driven work that they remain deeply committed to. While The Duke and Duchess are focused on plans to establish a new non-profit organisation, given the specific UK government rules surrounding use of the word ‘Royal’, it has been therefore agreed that their non-profit organisation will not utilise the name ‘Sussex Royal’ or any other iteration of ‘Royal.’

For the above reason, the trademark applications that had been filed as protective measures and that reflected the same standard trademarking requests as done for The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, have been removed.

While there is not any jurisdiction by The Monarchy or Cabinet Office over the use of the word ‘Royal’ overseas, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not intend to use ‘Sussex Royal’ or any iteration of the word ‘Royal’ in any territory (either within the UK or otherwise) when the transition occurs Spring 2020.

As The Duke and Duchess of Sussex continue to develop their non-profit organisation and plan for their future, we hope that you use this site as the source for factual information. In Spring 2020, their digital channels will be refreshed as they introduce the next exciting phase to you.

How I shared my husband with my cousin- Nairobi woman

Thirty-eight-year-old Caro Nduti — a Nairobi resident — says she has seen it all in marriage. She was loved, she was deceived, she was cheated on, she was mistreated, and she was treated with contempt. Her only wrongdoing? She loved too much.

Nduti’s love story dates back to early 2000s. She was a teenager studying in a Nairobi college when she fell in love with her childhood friend. Nduti and her flame grew up together and attended the same church a better part of their younger lives.

In 2002, Nduti and her now-ex-husband joined different colleges, but the short-distance did not stop a beautiful love affair between them from blossoming.

Nduti recounts regularly paying her then-boyfriend visits at the institution he was learning at.

The two would, later, move in together.

“My lover begged me to get pregnant by him before I completed my studies. He said he feared that I would break up with him after completing my college education,” Nduti told BBC Swahili reporter Anne Ngugi.

“I loved him so much. At the time, I was naïve and young. I accepted to get pregnant,” said Nduti.

Nduti delivered her first baby, a son, a few months after completing her college education. She said her love life was so solid to the extent her boyfriend had already introduced her to his family as the woman he would marry.

“On my graduation day, my boyfriend attended the ceremony alongside his family members. After the ceremony ended, he took me to his home accompanied by his relatives. I felt loved,” she said.

Her first-born child was given birth to in December 2003, she said.

“My boyfriend was loving, committed and just the perfect man for me at the time,” said Nduti.

In 2006, she gave birth to her second child, also a son. However, Nduti says, she noted her husband had started behaving strangely.

“I realised he was involved in several extra-marital affairs,” she said.

Being only 22 years old at the time, Nduti said she did not have the courage to confront her husband.

“Despite his infidelity, he satisfactorily provided for me. I thought I shouldn’t complain, and I always believed that a woman must persevere in her marriage,” she said.

Nduti said her partner’s unfaithfulness was an open book, and she knew nearly all the women he slept with.

“Some of the women he had sexual relations with, were well-known to me. I would eat and drink with them in entertainment joints. I think my husband thought I was too timid to call him out on his philandering habits,” said Nduti.

The cheating, she said, got so bad that her husband began a sexual relationship with her female cousin. Nduti and the cousin grew up together in one homestead after Nduti’s mother died when she was 7 years old. It was Nduti’s cousin’s mother who took her [Nduti] in following her mother’s death.

The mother-of-two says the cousin would often visit her at her [Nduti’s] Nairobi home after she [cousin] completed her college education. It was during one of those visits that Nduti’s husband began an extramarital affair with his wife’s cousin-sister.

“I remember my husband became so shameless to the point he would call me and tell me that he won’t return home as he would be spending the night out with my cousin,” said Nduti.

The distressed and disappointed wife said her cousin also became arrogant, and would verbally abuse her often.

“Her insults were hurting, too gross. When I showed my husband some of my cousin’s messages, he would do nothing to reprimand her,” she said, adding: “At one point, he told me he saw no reason why my cousin shouldn’t abuse me.”

The illicit relationship between Nduti’s cousin and her [Nduti’s] husband was so open to the extent that the cousin’s mother got to know. Of course, the mother expressed her disapproval of her daughter’s relationship with her sister’s husband, but Nduti’s cousin would hear none of it.

Nduti said in 2008, she moved out of her matrimonial home, but her husband convinced her into reuniting with him.

Now, Nduti, her husband and her cousin lived together in one house.

“It hurt me, but I chose to live such kind of a life for the sake of the children,” she said.

Nduti and her husband would fall out, make peace; fall out, make peace, and the cycle would recur. At the time, her sister had already conceived twice, and given birth twice to two girls sired by Nduti’s husband.

Nduti claims as she concentrated on ensuring her husband’s relationship with her cousin ground to a halt, “he was busy kick-starting sexual relationships with every house-girl I was hiring”.

The mother-of-two said she felt she had had enough, and nothing was going to change her decision to leave her spouse.

She eventually moved out of her matrimonial home, never to look back, saying: “I have forgiven my husband and cousin, but the emotional damage that man inflicted on me, has made me harbour bitterness and self-hatred”.

“It has taken me a lot of time to appreciate myself and perceive myself as a beautiful woman. I really wished I would raise my children with their father in the picture, but he was too unfaithful to a fault,” said Nduti.

She advises women going through similar experiences to exercise self-love, forgiveness and never hesitate to bolt out of a toxic relationship.

Coronavirus: South Korea confirms huge rise in cases

South Korea says the number of new coronavirus cases in the country has more than doubled in one day. Officials said on Saturday that 229 new cases had been confirmed since Friday, raising the total to 433.

Vice Health Minister Kim Gang-lip said the outbreak had entered "a serious new phase".

Many of the new cases are linked to a hospital and to a religious group near the south-eastern city of Daegu, authorities have said.

Two patients in South Korea have died so far and there are fears the number will rise.

Daegu and nearby Cheongdo - where the hospital is situated - have been declared "special care zones" and the streets of Daegu are reported to be largely abandoned.

South Korea has now reported the largest number of confirmed infections outside China - 76,288 cases including 2,345 deaths - and the outbreak on the Diamond Princess cruise ship off the coast of Japan which has seen more than 600 cases.

Pastor invited for family deliverance dies in his sleep

A pastor, who is to perform a deliverance on a family in Anambra State, died in his sleep hours before the exercise.

It was gathered that the pastor was invited to Anambra from Warri, Delta State.

A member of the family, who pleaded anonymity, said that the development was a rude shock to everybody.

He said, “Somebody recommended him to us as a very powerful man of God. We invited him to a family deliverance because our family has been having some issues recently.

“We were surprised to see the lifeless body of the pastor the next morning which should be the day for the deliverance.

“Everybody is now afraid because nobody can explain this. It’s a rude shock.”

“Following the report, Police detectives attached to CPS Awka visited the scene, photographed the victim and rushed him to the hospital where he was certified dead by a medical doctor.”

The PPRO said the corpse of the victim had been deposited at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu Teaching Hospital Mortuary for autopsy.
