23 year-old woman ends up with a ‘cone’ bum after botched butt lift surgery in Turkey [photos]

A young woman has been left with a "cone" of fat on her bum after getting a botched Brazilian butt lift abroad.

Shannon Davies, 23, chose to go under the knife at a clinic in Istanbal, Turkey - which can't be named for legal reasons - after seeing online influencers recommend it. 

The salon owner initially forked out £5,000 for a procedure in 2018, plus a breast uplift and augmentation, but has since returned TWICE due to shocking results.

Shannon, from Pontypridd, Wales, pleaded with the surgeon to remove the excess fat from her behind but woke to find she had undergone another butt lift surgery.

She no has to wear size 18 trousers, as her "lumpy" and "uneven" butt doesn’t fit into her old size 12 jeans.

She said: “I’ve always been up and down with my weight and my boobs started to sag.

“I had no bum and I just wanted a nice curvy body to fill out my clothes.

“But now I am left with a lumpy bottom and super wide hips as the fat which was injected for the BBL has leaked into my thighs and hips.

“I regret ever going ahead with the surgery but I just wanted a quick fix.

“It seemed like the easy option but I should have just gone to the gym.”

Shannon recalls feeling like she was in an "oven" when she woke from the first surgery in July 2018.

Her nipple was purple and she felt like her chest was going to burst open.

She adds: “I woke up from surgery and I was screaming in pain - it was unbearable.

"I knew something was wrong and I could tell by the look on the surgeons face when he saw my nipple.

“He removed my nipple and left it hanging on by one thread - I am not too sure how this was supposed to help but I was willing to do anything to avoid losing my nipple.’

Shannon visited her local nurse every two days to have the stitches and dressing changed for four months after the surgery.

She said: “I couldn’t wear a bra as it was so painful and my boobs completely dropped.

She said: “He took my money and all he did was stitch up my boobs again.

“I have been left with horrendous scarring and barely any confidence.

“I wanted surgery so I can feel good in my own skin but now I dread summer as I have to cover up.

“My nipples are too high up and my bottom half is too big.

“I am so embarrassed and wish I had done my research!

“I should have waited until I was older!”

Shannon urges other women to love their body they way it is and to avoid going abroad at all costs.

Civil servant smuggles brother’s name on payroll, promotes him to GL14

A senior civil servant, Mohammed Ndanusa has been arrested in Minna, Niger state after he was found to have smuggled his brother’s name in government’s payroll, since 2009.

Ndanusa, who was working for the Ministry of Health collected the brother’s salary for about 11 years, until the bubble burst on Tuesday.

He even arranged to promote the brother several times, from Grade Level 10 to Grade level 14.

Ndanusa’s brother Tanimu, was all along a motorcyclist in Minna and was not qualified to be on the level, his brother crookedly arranged in his name.

Ndanusa’s 11 year-fraud was busted when he asked the “Okada-rider” brother, Tanimu Ndanusa to appear for screening.

The Niger State government is at present embarked on a physical verification of all civil servants.

P.M.NEWS learnt that when Tanimu Ndanusa appeared before the panel, he did not come with any certificate. And he could not even speak, like a senior civil servant on Level 14.

Members of the screening committee were stunned and called the police.

The two brothers, Mohammed Ndanusa and Tanimu Ndanusa have been arrested by the police.

Mohammed Ndanusa has confessed to the crime.

Ndanusa confirmed that he fraudulently employed his brother on grade level 10 in 2009 and subsequently promoted him three times to grade level 14 till date.

Usman, said that the suspect would be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.

Oshiomhole claims car crash “an assassination attempt”, Obaseki reacts

A former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, was on Tuesday involved in a car crash.

The accident left two policemen attached to Oshiomhole’s convoy dead.

The crash happened when an articulated vehicle lost control and ran into Oshiomhole’s convoy near Oluku junction in the Ovia North-East Local Government Area of Edo State.

In a statement, his media aide Victor Oshioke, insisted it was an assassination attempt.

“It is pertinent to state, without fear of contradiction, that the convoy of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole was maintaining legal speed limits when this incident occurred.

“This explains why the trailer travelling in the same direction, overran the Hilux truck off the road and still hit the SUV carrying Comrade Oshiomhole, causing substantial damage.

“Without prejudice to police investigations, eyewitnesses account of the incident suggest, and we believe rightly too, that this was an assassination attempt, targeting Comrade Adams Oshiomhole,” part of the statement read.

The Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki, in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Communication Strategy, Crusoe Osagie, said: “I received the news of the accident with shock and commiserate with the former governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and the candidate of the APC in the forthcoming governorship election, Osagie Ize-Iyamu over the very unfortunate incident involving their security aides and top chieftains of the party in the campaign team.”

Obaseki prayed for “strength for the families of the deceased persons” and the “the quick recovery of those who were injured”.

Oshiomhole was on his way to Usen, to join the APC campaign train for the September 19 Governorship Election. This led to the party candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, calling off his rally.

Canoe mishap claims eight lives in Kebbi

No fewer than eight people including women and children have been confirmed dead after a canoe capsized at Tungar-Gegero in Jega Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

The Chairman, Kebbi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Alhaji Sani Dododo, disclosed this to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday, NAN reports.

He said: “Just yesterday at about 10:30 a.m. there was an incident at Tungar-Gegero in Jega Local Government Area, where eight people lost their lives to canoe mishap.

“Women and children about 10 of them were onboard with only one operator, a middle-aged man and he was trying to transport the people to a naming ceremony.

“They have started the journey and crossed to the other bank of the stream successfully, but on their way back the canoe capsized and all the occupants were drowned in the water.”

He further explained that the operator was able to save two women, adding that the remaining eight including children were all drowned in the water.

According to him, the agency was able to recover four corpses comprising three adults and a baby girl, adding that search for the remaining bodies was still on.

“We are making frantic efforts to recover the remaining corpses, I have spoken to Sarkin Kafin Jega, who is the District Head of the area as well as the Council Chairman, Jega Local Government Area.

“In line with this, professional traditional fishermen have already been mobilised to search for the remaining bodies.

“They have started from that Tungar-Gegeru down to Kimba to Jega Bridge to Mungadi because all these places are in the same terrain of the water.

“Normally, if there is this kind of capsizing, you cannot find the bodies in the same place a day after, but such bodies may be recovered far away from the scene of the accident,” he added.

The chairman assured that so many hands had been engaged to ensure that towards the corpses are been found adding that the agency had sought for assistance from the Inland Waterways in recovering the bodies.

He said that the agency was also getting in touch with the local government authorities as well as the head of social mobilisation of the council.

He consoled the families of the victims urging them to take heart and accept the ugly incident in good faith while praying that God Almighty will give them the fortitude to bear the loss.

‘I’m gone’ – Messi tells Barcelona as more revelations emerge

Spanish football expert, Guillem Balague has revealed that Lionel Messi “stopped being a Barcelona player” last week.

Edo election: Two policemen dead as Oshiomhole escapes death in car crash

“We are sad to report that two police personnel in the Toyota Hilux truck lost their lives, while two others are in critical condition receiving treatment at a hospital in the state.”

It confirmed that “Oshiomhole and other persons in the convoy did not sustain any injuries” and that the case was has been reported at the Ekiadolor Police Station and investigations are ongoing.

Commuters stranded, as ‘danfo’ drivers withdraw services over extortion by govt officials

Drivers of commercial buses, popularly called Danfo, along Iyana-Ipaja, Ikotun and environs in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State, on Tuesday morning, withdrew their services to protest extortion and daily seizure of their buses by officials of Lagos State Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences Unit (Task Force).

This development led to a chaotic situation in the axis, as workers and other commuters were stranded in the early hours at various bus stops, following scarcity of buses. Many resorted to trekking.

The commuters, who were seen along Ikotun-Egbeda road, trekking, said the government should look into the commercial drivers’ complaints with a view to finding a lasting solution to the operations of the state task force.

A commuter narrates experience

Mrs. Funke Owolabi, a trader in Ikotun, expressed solidarity with protesters, describing the activities of the task force as “unfair and wicked act.”

She recalled: “It was around 6a.m. and I was on my way to my shop. I live in Iyana-Ipaja and do my business in Ikotun.

“At Olugbede area, men of the task force operating in an unmarked vehicle suddenly my intercepted our bus and forced the driver to submit the key of the bus.

“Without mentioning the particular offence committed, they ordered us (passengers) to disembark immediately, saying the bus has been impounded and will be taken to their office in Oshodi. We pleaded with them to leave the bus for God’s sake.

“They remained adamant and even threatened to arrest us if we refused to disembark.

“I was very angry because they did not tell the driver the infraction committed and also for delaying those of us hurrying to our various business destinations.

“The state government should immediately look into this shameful and corrupt practices by our law enforcement agents.”

The protesters

Some of the protesting commercial drivers were seen displaying placards with various inscriptions such as: “Lagos task force should stop harassing us”, “Enough is enough of extortion, illegal seizure of our buses”, “We are not armed robbers, we are legitimate workers,” among others.

The protesters alleged that task force officers often harassed and extorts their members, particularly along the axis.

Chairmen of Iyana-Ipaja, Egbeda and Ikotun were seen at various points ensuring the development does not degenerate into violence with law enforcement agents, who were deployed to ensure security.

Policemen from Idimu Division and Area “M” Command were seen patrolling the axis.

Everything under control—Police

A senior police officer, who spoke with Vanguard at the scene, said: “The situation is under control and there is no cause for alarm.”

He, therefore, implored residents to go about their normal business activities as adequate security has been put in place to ensure their safety.

Speaking to Vanguard, one of the protesting drivers, Abel Ayoade, accused the task force of illegal operation, adding “they come as early as 5a.m. most times and impounds our buses.

“They take the buses to their headquarters in Oshodi and collect between N50,000 and N40,000, based on negotiating power.

“So, we decided to withdraw our service today to protest the illegal activities as well as bring it to the attention of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and relevant authorities so that they could call the task force men to order.

“The harassment and extortion must stop, its getting unbearable. We have families to fend for. We are not armed robbers that is why we are doing legitimate work. Why are they after us all the time?

“During the then administration of Governor Babatunde Fashola, they were curtailed but they started these illegal activities during the immediate past administration and have extended it into the present administration of Governor Sanwo-Olu.”

However, Chairman, Lagos State Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences Unit (Task Force), Chief Superintendent Yinka Egbeyemi, had not responded to inquiries by Vanguard via SMS sent to his mobile, as calls were not going through.

FG rejects plans by MultiChoice to sack Nigerian workers

The Federal Government on Monday said it would not tolerate any move by South African company, Multi­Choice, to lay off Nigerian workers in its employ under any guise.

This followed a meeting between the management of the National Broadcast­ing Commission (NBC) and the management of Multi­Choice on Monday.

The commission had summoned MultiChoice over the planned increase on some DStv and GOtv packages which takes effect from today despite a similar increase three months ago.

According to Multi­Choice, in a message to sub­scribers, DSTV Premium would move from N16, 200 to N18,400; Compact Plus from N10,925 to N12,400; Compact from 6,975 to 7,900, and for users of GOtv Max, they would have to pay the sum of N3,600 from 3,280.

The latest increase comes amid a subsisting order of the House of Representa­tives seeking a stay of action on the earlier hike which the company blamed on the Federal Government’s 2.5 percent increase in Value Added Tax (VAT) from five to 7.5 percent.

John Ugbe, the Chief Ex­ecutive Officer of the com­pany, said the decision to in­crease the prices was made after a careful consideration of the market and a review of its business operations.

He noted that the com­pany reviewed its prices while considering financial impacts, including inflation, increased content and oper­ational costs, so they could continue to survive as a business and bring quality entertainment to custom­ers.

He said: “To arrive at the decision to adjust prices, we took into account many fac­tors, including the impact on the customer, current inflation, which stands at 12.82 percent, the highest in 27 months, content costs and efficiencies within the company.

“Only the prices of some of the bouquets have been reviewed upwards while the lower bouquets have been left untouched.”

The planned increase, which did not go down well with many Nigerians, had prompted the NBC to sum­mon the management of MultiChoice and Startimes, which also increased its tar­iff in August, to a meeting yesterday.

Speaking exclusively with Daily Independent on what transpired at the meeting yesterday, Arm­strong Idachaba, the Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), said the manage­ment of the MultiChoice cited currency devaluation and inflation rate as some of the reasons that necessitat­ed the increase.

He also said the compa­ny said it might be forced to sack Nigerian workers in its employ, a development the Nigerian government vehe­mently kicked against.

According to Idachaba, “They said they are com­mitted to keeping their business in Nigeria but are affected by currency devalu­ation and inflation rate.

“They said their fears are that they may lay off Nige­rians in their employment if they have to remain in business.

“They gave examples of other companies that are folding up because of eco­nomic challenges.

“At the end of the day, we told them that no matter the excuse they have, we are not going to tolerate any loss of jobs. We frown heavily at any attempt to lay off Ni­gerians because of these excuses.

“Secondly, we are not tolerating any unnecessary price hike. We asked them how they intend to do the increase and they said they wanted to start with the Pre­mium and then move gradu­ally to the other packages.”

French tourist faces years behind bars in India for striping naked on sacred bridge

A French woman is facing years in jail after being arrested for stripping n.a.ked for a stunt video on a holy bridge in India.

The 27-year-old could be sentenced for a maximum three-years behind bars after her antics provoked outrage in the Indian city of Rishikesh.

Local police officials explained the backlash provoked by the Frenchwoman was partly due to the religious connections to the iconic Lakshman Jhula footbridge.

The woman was rumbled after she uploaded a video of herself cavorting n.a.ked on the bridge – which stretches over the river Ganges.

R.K. Saklani, head of the police station where the woman was taken said: "Maybe in France these things are not considered objectionable.

"But Rishikesh is a holy place and the Lakshman Jhula is the place where (Hindu gods) Ram, his brother Lakshman and wife Sita crossed the Ganges."

The woman, named only as Marie-Helene, is said to have been in India since being trapped there due to lockdown in March.

She has allegedly defended her decision to strip for the video as being a promotion for beaded necklaces that she has been selling.

Saklani explained: "She told us she sells bead necklaces online and the shoot was aimed at promoting her business."

The business stunt clearly backfired as cops were alerted to the footage by angry locals after it was posted online.

The woman has been released on bail but the case could take months to proceed.

Five days after their bundle of joy arrived, Katy took to instagram to show fans what her post baby body looks like. 

In the down-to-earth snap, the pop star wears a flesh-colored nursing bra used with a breast pump, and a pair of comfy-looking grey knickers, which were pulled halfway over her tummy.

Massachusetts woman who caught her husband having sex with his mother SPEAKS AGAIN

A Massachusetts woman who allegedly walked in on her husband while he was having s.e.x with his mother on their couch says she always suspected an incestuous relationship was going on.

Cheryl Lavoie, 63, and her son, Tony L. Lavoie, 43, confessed to having s3xual relations with each other in their home on May 20, according to authorities.

Tony allegedly told cops 'it just happened' and insisted it was the first time he had s3x with his mom.

Tony’s wife, Lori Lavoie, told police that she ‘always had suspicions of the two of them having an intimate relationship.'

On her Facebook page, Lori Lavoie indicated that she was separated from her husband - even though all three of them were living under the same roof.

Lori told police that she had long wanted her mother-in-law to move out of the residence.

Cheryl reportedly said they had grown closer in recent months and started having s3x when they began kissing.

The mother and son were living together in the same house at the time of the alleged encounter.

Police were called to reports of a disturbance at the property on May 20 and arrived on the scene to be met by the cousin of Tony's wife.

The cousin told officers Tony's wife had called her after she had walked in on her husband and his mom having sex in the property, police said.

Both Tony and Cheryl allegedly admitted to the officer separately that they had consensual sexual relations with each other and told them it was the first time it happened.

When the officer asked the Lavoies why it had happened, Tony allegedly said: 'I don't know. It just happened.'

The 43-year-old then said he wanted treatment for it, according to police.

Lori told police ‘that she walked in on her husband Tony Lavoie having sex with his mother Cheryl Lavoie in the living room.’

After witnessing the alleged encounter, she told police: ‘I walked into my room and closed the door.’ 

The mother and son duo were charged with incest - a felony that carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

They made their first court appearance last Thursday where they both pleaded not guilty.

Devout Shiite Muslims are left covered in blood as they whip and cut themselves as part of religious rite

Devout Shiite pilgrims were left covered in blood as they struck themselves with swords and chains during the mourning procession to mark the day of Ashura in the holy city of Najaf.

Ashura, on the 10th day of the mourning month of Muharram, commemorates the killing of the Prophet Mohammed's grandson Hussein at the Battle of Karbala in 680 AD - the defining moment of Islam's confessional schism.

Typically, millions of Shiites from around the world flock to the golden-domed shrine where Hussein's remains are buried, to pray and cry, shoulder-to-shoulder. But with coronavirus numbers spiking across the globe, this year's commemoration is subdued. 

Some followers took part in a self-flagellation ritual used duringk the public processions, with small groups of the mourners covered in blood in the city of Najaf. And thousands of tearful pilgrims wearing gloves and face masks flooded Iraq's  holy city of Karbala.

Small clusters of pilgrims gathered in the vast courtyards outside the main mosque in Karbala, wearing the customary mourning colour of black and the new addition of medical masks and gloves.

Wading through the crowds were teams of shrine employees spraying disinfectant mist through long, thin hoses or distributing masks to any bare-faced visitor.

To be allowed into the shrine, people must first have their temperatures taken at grey gates that resemble metal detectors.

Inside, signs on the carpet floor indicate the proper distance that should be kept between worshippers as they pray.
